Thing is, the Nigerian Army refutes those stories.

South-Africans do not use Tavor-21's, neither do the Nigerian army.

Only the Navy, Airforce and DSS use the Tavor in Nigeria.

First, no one is arguing about the Tavor. I never said those were specifically south africans, I was making an example of the role mercenaries play in training. If you cannot read, or have a low reading comprehension that is your problem not mine.

Second, multiple sources have confirmed South Africans are training Nigerians. You yourself say that mercenaries have been training your military for years - so why is it a shock that we are training you as well? Afterall, South Africans are the best mercenaries in the world.

The SADF was the first major military to standardize the use of MGL's, and we currently have a standardized AGL (while you only have them in limited numbers), so yes - there is plenty we can teach you about both.

BVP M80? You mean an IFV from the 1980's? How is that latest generation? And it very much existed in the apartheid era!

Furthermore, your major failing is assuming all these men training your army are from the SADF... what is to say that they are not men who have left the SANDF for more money or through retirement?

I just don't get it, NA has been the one that was being trained by the US until nigeria terminated it citing odd practices. NAF however, has enough pilots and are even training in russia and Pakistan for the new incoming platforms. so, use common sense and stop being ignorant.

and its not the SANDF in Nigeria - its South African contractors and we are trying to teach you how to use equipment, not how to operate or maintain it.

I cannot stress how big the difference between operating/maintaining equipment and using it effectively is.

I wish I knew the exact specifications so I could narrow down the list... all i know is that SAN want the OPV to be over 90 meters and be around 2000t or over, have facilities to house an organic helo, and be able to launch and recover said helo in sea-state 4.

These vessels are those which match the criterion (that I know of) and are from shipyards that have been linked to Biro.

Anyone know what the IPV specifications are? All I know is that they are to be around 300t to 500t

I personally like the OPV2600 (now that I have read up on it), the Avante 220 and Gowind. In my opinion the Lurssen is too limiting of a design

Istanbul Shipyards is also interested - suggesting that the MILGEM Corvette is an option, and this makes me happy because it is a beast - but not really what (i think) we are looking for

Some training with the European weapon dealers is done inside the Nigerian NE war zone because we cannot withdraw soldiers and pilots from battlefield and send them to Europe for training on every new weapon we just purchased.

This can easily and simply be conluded by the way that your neighboring nations: Chad, Niger, Cameroon et al have dealt consecutive and massive defeats on Boko Haram from almost the instant they joined the fight, while Nigeria has for the past decade has tasted nothing but defeat and setbacks.

Fact remains that your military is incompetant and needs to be trained by foreigners - whilst ours does not, furthemore there is plenty of proof that South African contractors are in Nigeria training your men.
