I just lost my respect for the entire NL. everyone here sounds more intimidated than OP herself. apparently massaging his beastial ego because he's a lecturer. as far as I'm concerned, that man is tired of being a lecturer and just seeking his way out. this is a unique opportunity to ease our system of 1 corrupt lecturer. at least, it'll soon be 1 lascivious bigot down! Some advise OP's husband handling a case as criminal as this maturely without resentment. OH MY GOSHHHHHHHHHHH! this is a criminal case. are there no lawyers here on NL. this is a forum i understand.but beyond being a forum, i see it as a virtual social world with potentials to influence the 'real world'- sometimes rendering help to members in genuinely desperate needs. The randy he-goat that calls himself a lecturer deserves to be relieved of his job. he should face the wrath of the law. I wish all ladies in our higher institutions of learning can come out on public media of this sort and publicise intimate harassments in all forms. OP: too bad you yielded to his demands for money without a tangible evidence. Please try as much as possible to squeeze out a little more for him. but this time, go with a spy camera or a digital recorder. [first exhibit] then wait for his next action. he'll most definitely call you in again, perhaps in a desperate bid to satisfy his libidinous stress. call in the police, but have it strategically planned with your husband. once you are in his office and you are sufficiently sure you have enough evidence through his acts/conversation, don't be scared. you can help yourself out of this and also help the society get rid of these urchins. OP: if you can't, please post his number here and leave the rest! I strongly believe NL can do better than this. our system needs to be purged. |
the 'modern day' woman has practically deleted the word submission from her dictionary. as some of them here are already insinuating - the word itself sounds nauseating. they know too much. infact, they know more than the man does. they quote equality rights and fundamental rights. over sabi! mtcheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!!!!!!! |
desthan:Are you also forgetting Godman & Talpert? I never really liked Larcombe. it had very few examples an inundate you with exercises far tougher than the examples. again, it jumps some steps. but NGM was slow & steady, line by line, precept by precept. in the end, you'll grasp evrything hook, line and sinker. you need no teacher. word problems was like a quizzical fun thing, then solid n plane shapes e.t.c!Godman was great n it enhanced my physics. in short, maths is th language of sciences. |
Tony Spike:GBAM! very easy if you take your time - sweeter when you learn on your own. no teacher swag. no issues of coming late to classes, no floggin when you fail any exercise, no rushing you , do everything at your own pace and time. there's NO substitute for self study! it's d best! |
nakedwire:it's so easy you don't even need a teacher. i'm not boasting but believe me when i say i learnt it without a teacher. i attended a public school with very lazy teachers. our maths teacher hardly visits the classroom. he taught less than 15 times between ss1-ss3. I'm not exaggerating. all you need as a secondary school student is your New General maths by kalejaiye or get Harwood Clarke. those texts come with so many examples and give you practical exercises with answers behind. so you find teaching yourself very easy. that was my strategy and i enjoyed it. I made an 'A'. I eventually didn't go into Engineering tho. I went into Health. It's been over 20yrs! but till date I can still solve those funny equations. quadratic graphs, statistics, Logs were my best. then geometry, inequalities, e.t.c. OH gosh! nostalgia. Unfortunately, students these days want to ping away their time with BB. if only they can devote half that time to stufying it. they'll grasp it faast. it damn easy. very easy. just devotion. the only problem with maths is that it's a jealous subject. it wants you to devote time to it daily. themore attention you give it, the more it becomes part of you and you gain mastery of the subject. if you leave it for a week and come back, it seems like you've left it for a year. . somtimes volatile. so you need constant exercises keeps it going. but once you've gained mastery of it, it stays on. |
maths was my best in school. it just demands patience to understand which i believe most people don't have. they often want to read it straight with the speed they read novels. you'll only get disappointed if you study it with such speed. it demands a logical approach. be imaginative and follow the principles laid down & you'll find out it's the easiest of all courses. |
Iyabeji:click on 'home' , then click on the section you want e.g 'property' then scroll down to the page and click on 'new topic' ![]() |
Iyabeji:i dey com soon o! if you have a good place in ph1 or 2 . pls holler me. i no mind at all. peace and security is paramount. ![]() ![]() |
NEVER HAD ISSUES WITH SECURITY FOR 1 DAY! It's worth it - i recommend Gbagada without reservations. |
Iyabeji:are you currently in phase 1? I was in mabinu - ph1 4yrs ago and lived there many yrs. i dont believe you that gbagada is now crowded. Gbagada can never be crowded. that place is freaking organised. the only thing that makes phase 1 crowded with socials at night time during weekends is wise ken [and every1 in phase 1 luvs wise ken joint. . it's d social glamour of phase1. phase1 is quite smaller than phase 2. but both phases are organised and very SECURE. i'll chose Gbagada over any estate ANYTIME. look at the proximity to filling stations -AGipMobil, eatery-Biggs, Clubs,Banks e.t.c. the serene and quiet environment. decent peace luving people . Adaranijo mkt is clean and close by, so, its everything at your door-step, even churches, e.t.c, yet tastefully neat , no flooding no matter how much it rains, instead, the neatly tared roads get cleaner. |
@Slimyem: your indiscriminate use of foul language is becoming incessant. must you pick up an e-trade of insolence at the slightest provocation? clamp down on your raging pulse girl. |

@OP: what answer are you really expecting? 'YES they are mischievous' OR 'NO, they are the nicest people' ![]() I've also had my fair share of bad experiences with them. co-incidentally, they were all from the same place. mba-5. ![]() but it's not enough to generalise. just take hrt. take am easy. it's better they display their folly and you find out, than going ahead to tie nuptial knots with a b-itch. consider yurself lucky you found out she's not worth it. a b-itch is not worth fighting over or bugging oneself over. |

typical Naija babe. I trust you girls. if you give whatever costs you nothing, then it's NO sacrifice. you must lay down that precious thing [what you consider as an advantage] on the altar. then, it can be regarded as a sacrifice. |
How much a sacrifice can you make for love? A very poor man lived with his wife. One day, his wife, who had long hair asked him to buy her a comb for her hair to grow well. The man felt very sorry and said no. he does not even have enough money to fix the strap of his watch he had just broken. She did not insist on her request. The man went to work and passed by a watch shop, sold his damaged watch at a low price and went to buy a comb for his wife. He came home in the evening with the comb in his hand ready to give to his wife. He was surprised when he saw his wife with a very short hair cut. She had sold her hair to a Brazilian manufacturer and was holding a new watchband. Tears flowed simultaneously from their eyes. not for the futility of their actions, but for the reciprocity of their love'' How much can you sacrifice for your love? Wotcha think guys? I ask, can Nigerian babes go this far? ![]() |
Juleo: call Dave pls. I'm not around at the moment. |
