Revelation 14
If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,
he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night,
those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.
just like the parables of Jesus who uses imaginable subjects or objects to represent things in order to explain true life situations, this is a parable by john, it is indirect figure of speech that needs to be explained for proper understanding,
now, if you follow the same format Jesus uses to explain one of his parables in Matthew, you will get the true meaning of the mark of the beasts and it's image , the forehead and hand, fire and brimstone. these are all imaginable figures that represent something here.
it's like Peter saying,i saw fowls of the air in my vision, then he concluded that fowls of the air represent unclean thing (atleast,he knew fowls of the air represent something, but he misinterpreted it ), meanwhile God says he didn't create anything unclean.
this Scripture has made even prominent pastors to jump into conclusion like that, deceiving people.
someone who has not read the whole bible from Genesis to revelation over and over again will not possibly understand these revelation.
i have read it over and over again, i know what they are [email]

Like i said before"the wicked flee when no man pursue him"
you are right!
but you know, we live in Africa, most people here don't even know that they are not guilty, they still think that the sin they comit makes them guilty before God just like it makes them guilty before man, they forget that God is not man.
that is why, if they hear that kind of message above, it frightened the wit out of them.
i have been like that before, until i went to school
.so,to avoid a situation where we will put people in fear, we should not stress on this 666 and mark of the beast thing. rather, the best way to get people to repent is to educate them,or let them go to school, so that they can begin to see reasons why they should repent.

In theory if we follow the ways instructed by God, we cannot fail, within the confines of the law am obligated to morally behave to keep the society ok and normal, and our human laws still says thou shall NOT, if i do these consequences are set in place, and for real if i misbehave , i have to pay the ultimate price for my disobedience according to law. nature operates by law, every action have consequences and reaction.

i don't see how fornication helps your daughters
i don't see how stealing helps you (every citizen is crying against it)
i don't see how adultery helps you,
infact i don't see how any sin helps you

what is the fear about?, human society with police and soldiers are placed to keep your head low, the judicial system acts the same, to help mentain a sane economy.

even the termites and bees have regulated economy and they operate according to ranks and for them to survive they must obey instructions passed to them.new laws of nature are been discovered daily and when properly follow yield result and bring about feats in medicine and social economic lives, i don't see what is bad in the bible telling us what to do to help my life, the topic tells me digital money is coming soon and my ability of choice will be taken from me if i don't act fast. how does that have to do with fear, if a soldier that have been ordered to shoot, tells me to leave a particular place, if i disobey he shoots me what would happen according to law? nothing, am a criminal to continue to stand there and disobey orders.

when human come under common threat they leave their differences and fight for common interest, the beast the bible warns about is not human but in human skin and our sworn enemy, i don't see any reason why modern laws will tell to marry my fellow man, biologically we are not compatible or for fun and money somebody is told to have sex with your sweet dog, that means human kind have been compromised.

please repent because repentance slows and eradicate this fear, logic and reason tell me to repent and follow the ways of our fathers.

robots and human will eventually merge, coming to think of it, it will really help to have small robot soldiers correct you when u want to disobey society order, but what happen when these robot are controlled by modern day hitler, think of it.

the disorder and terrorism is been enjoyed by some.science have followed laws of nature to help predict future event with help of computer sensors yet people don't perceive fear, it only when the holy books predict future event that you been tamed a coward.

God bless us all.
no holy book has predicted disaster in our future, everything including 666(we know what the beast represent ) as predicted in revelation has been fulfilled almost 2000 years ago, the persecution of the saints and all that. they have been fulfilled, you don't need to be afraid of the future.
the world is moving towards the right direction as God has planned it. the lastest technological developments are all welcomed inventions.
they make life easy for us
no terrorist or hitler is controlling any robot. if they do, we will know.
even Iran wanted to control nuclear power for their domestic need some time ago but , they were sanctioned by the UN, if they had not, it is possible that this latest group called ISIS might siezed the facility for their evil ambition since the middle east is still prone to attacks. so we don't have any fear, relax.
yes, it is good to keep the law. it's for our own good.
modern law is not asking you to go and marry a fellow man, what the law is saying is that, gay people should be given equal rights and opportunity in the society and they should not be discriminated. otherwise, you are not keeping the law, you are not loving your neighbor as yourself. as the Bible teaches.
recent discovery by the DSM classification has show that, same sex attraction is not psychological in nature, that it is just a variation of human sexual orientation,as normal heterosexual.
An you know, God created variety of humans for reasons best known to him, we shouldn't question .
giving them equal right do not in anyway make you homosexual.

If you did not see where d church payed tithe, I hope you read these verses and follow suit:

Acts 4:32-35, 37 KJV
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. [33] And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. [34] Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, [35] And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. [37] Having land, sold it , and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

A true child of God would want to contribute to the growth of the gospel. If tithe is not convinient for you how will the above deed of the early church be adhered to by you?

Islam is spreading and killing innocent souls because of the financial support of the Arab nations.
May be you expect churches to be begging unbelievers for place of worship so that they can rubbish the name of our Lord Jesus.

Jesus told us to tithe. If tithe is no longer practised , please practice what d early churches practiced by contributing the whole of your salary to or church, at least that is written in the Bible.
contribution and tithe is not the same thing.
in contribution people give willingly. But in tithe, people are cajoled to give, accompanied with threats of robbing God and not getting prosper if you don't pay

but most of our parents here in Africa are not educated enough to train and bring up their children, so the Nigerian government have leave their children at the mercy of our religious leaders who they see as role models to teach them moral issues from the Bible
may be the government should think of how to get educated parents, parents who are willing to give birth to limited number of children that are within their financial capacity to train, and let go of african tradition which promotes multiple birth that leads to poverty.
that implies that they should invest more on the education sector, update our schools curriculum and make it a quality one, then subsidize it and made tuition fee affordable for the common man
and also power to run our education facilities.
because, the standard of our schools here in Africa is nothing to write home about

I'm getting you,
let's go back to the born again thing, from all indication in the Bible it is certain that born again is not and order in Christianity But within the transition from Judaism to Christianity. But i still think that, over the years, born again has been used to separate the goats from the sheep in Christianity which i think it is justifiable, because, consider the evil that is associated with all religions (Christianity is not exempted ),in order to check evil in the world, the born again movement was postulated in Christianity
you are right,
born again has been used to separate the goats from the sheep, but at what expense?
at the expense of the mental and intellectual development of church members?
may be we should device other means to separate the sheep from the goats or our parents should train their children at home so that we will not end up raising goats in churches, because,
they made us to believe that born again is the same thing as being saved. meanwhile, there was no salvation as at the time Jesus met Nicodemus,
and church members can't develop the intelligence and critical mind to investigate the scripture to see the contradiction behind this , that is not a source of worry to our political and religious leaders.
i think it is high time for the educated extract of the Nigerian population start reading the Bible as though it is a mentally, intellectual developing curriculum against reading it for a mere religious and spiritual gratification or we are seen as a laughing stock and as a people in contradiction to the natural human instinct.
Europeans who brought Christianity to Africa have overcomed this born again problem, they have a better orientation, even western or black American pastors hardly use the phrase born again, find out. i listen to them a lot . certainly because they are not sure of it origin in Christianity.
so we really need a change in Africa

in otherwords, everybody in the church are blessed with the potential to make money like dangote, so long there is air, rain and sunshine?
how about, resources for making wealth such as land or capital (money ) that dangote had?
don't you think we should go to church to pray that God should bless people with money?
there are people in church out there, who have great ideas but lark resources such as money to implement their ideas
everybody in church have potential to make wealth, that means, God is not the cause of anybody's poverty, he gives everybody equal ability and opportunity by making rain and sunlight available.
but capital, no
God didn't give anybody capital, not even dangote.
and God will not give anybody capital in church miraculously.
it's just that, some people were born into wealth while others into poverty, that differences is not Gods doing. it's a product of right and wrong decisions taken by our forefathers years back. not God.
so, we shouldn't go to church to pray for capital.
if you find yourself in a poor family, you need capital from your church to start a business and they give it to you, then you are lucky.
that means, you were not there for prayer in the first place, but your target was that capital.
prayer was a disguise.

do we go to church to contest for air to breath, or to contest for the sunlight to photosynthesize our crops or rainfall,so that we can have food to eat?

that's true
now, the implication of born again doctrine is that, by virtue of the fact that it makes a christian think he is righteous than any one else in Christianity, it makes that Christian feel that God loves "Him " specially, that he is the favorite of God more than anyone else in Christianity, even in the same congregation. (i have heard pastor adeboye telling his congregation he is the favorite of God than anyone else in that same congregation, and the church members telling themselves i will be more favoured by God today in this church than anyone else )
a situation where the church member will start telling himself, me, me. .and me alone and my love ones, and my friends.. he becomes selfish and bias in his prayers without thinking about the poor church members around him.
God give me car
God give me money
God kill my enemies
the doctrine makes christians think that God is bias
image a person with this kind of mindset assume a postion of authority by chance, what will he do?

Yes! I understand a point you made, we only need to believe in Jesus and be saved. Baptism is kinda optional, to show that you've really repented of your sins and accepted Christ; its not a must.
But dude, you used Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus and committed sucide to cite an example. That not cool atall; it doesn't make sense. How can such a person make Heaven ? *noOffence* But, I wanna ask you a question, I know you believe Christ, His death and resurrection right? But my question is have you confessed and accepted Him as your Lord and personal savior with your mouth?
Its a yes or no question. *we are not quarelling*
i like the question, Paul says in
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
but before then he said in
Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel (the Jews ) is, that they might be saved.
you know, the Jews had their religion known as Judaism (the jewish faith with the old covenant in the old testament through Abraham their father ),but Christ came and established his religion at crucifixion known as Christianity(the Christian faith with the new covenant in the new testament )
All the intention of Paul preaching was to convert the Jews who were adherents of Judaism to join Christianity which was a new religion at that time.
so, to confess the lord Jesus simply means to be convinced that Christianity is the way.
assuming i was practicing Judaism at that time Paul was preaching and a Paul comes to preach that Jesus is the Messiah, the moment i begin to see reasons with him and eventually get convinced that he is saying the truth, at that point i have been converted into Christianity deep inside me (i may not even say it out, but i will tell myself deep inside me that he is saying the truth)
at that point, i have confessed Christ, at that point, i am saved. i have joined Christianity.
Romans 1:17 says For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
from faith to faith there simply means, from Judaism to Christianity in the context Paul's understanding.
therefore, we are justified by our faith Christianity. that also implies that if you were born into a Christian home (and not Islamic home or the home of any other religion ) you are saved automatically.
Romans 10:10 says For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
a believer is anybody in Christianity
an unbeliever is anybody outside Christianity, people of other religion.
because they do not believe in Christ. it's as simple as that.
to answer your question, if i have
confessed and accepted Him as my Lord
and personal savior with my mouth? the answer is YES.
everybody who were born and brought up a christian are saved automatically. Paul says
Romans 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ(die as a Christian ), we believe that we shall also live with him(live again as a Christian )
eternal life is real
we shall resurrect again.
that one is another matter.
but, what i am telling you now is, i am saved

Remember Jesus had to be baptized with water also before God officially recognized Him and said He was pleased with Him before His ministry started.
You probably have read too much theological books and they have corrupted your mind. Read the bible and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand. You cannot say you are a Christian if you are not born again. And you cannot enter Heaven if you are not born again. Think Man, Think... God Help You Understand.
not just Nicodemus believe and get. baptized with water only, but he must also abandon all that he had or sell them and give the money to the poor and join the multitude of disciples to follow Jesus to Jerusalem. that was the only way he could see the kingdom of God.
the kingdom of God was to be established at Jerusalem at crucifixion
so, born again simply means, disciples abandoning all that they had to follow Christ to Jerusalem where the kingdom of God is to be revealed (that is why revelation described the kingdom of God as the new Jerusalem.revelation 21:2 ).Peter told Jesus in
Matthew 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and FOLLOW THEE ; what shall we have therefore?
Jesus also says in
Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have FOLLOWED ME, (at the generation when he was yet on earth before he was crucified), in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory(the generation after the crucifixion ), ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel..
this is the generation we belong to, there was change of generation at crucifixion.
so it was all about following Christ in those days, that is was what born again meant
i bring that parable again in
John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
the wind there represent the multitude of disciples who followed Jesus, Nicodemus heard about them, he saw the crowd coming as they passes towards Jerusalem,he didn't know where they were coming from and there they were going to,but it was expected that he should join them and follow , that was what Jesus wanted.
today,in this present generation, we believe that Christ has died, therefore the kingdom of God has been established on earth. (if you take note, i was using "was", because all those things were pass tense )
today,we in chriatianity are all part of that kingdom,we are already sitting on 12 thrones so long we believe, we don't need to follow again as the disciples did (ofcourse Christ has ascended, we don't see him phycally again to follow ), we don't need born again again,Judas Iscariot was born again, he believed in that generation, he was baptized, but he missed the kingdom.
we are better than Judas Iscariot
the kingdom of God(Christianity) is far better than born again
even the least person in christianity today is better than john the Baptist(Matthew 11:11)
john the Baptist was born again, it is not everybody who believe that followed Christ outrightly, so long you believe in christ that generation you were born again. but you were not up to a state to be called a christian because christ has not yet died
but in this generation, alll we need to do is believe only
