What people should be asking is what is demonic about the removal of shoes? Does it mean I glorify a demon when I remove my shoe or what? What is bad about shoe removal at the point of worship? I intentionally asked him drop the link to his claim,not because I haven't read it,just wanted to set something straight.

Going through the content of that news, here's an excerpt from INEC chairman's speech ;

“After the process is completed at the polling unit, the image of the polling unit result will be taken by the BVAS and uploaded into what we call the INEC Result Viewing Portal where citizens can see polling unit level results as the processes are completed at polling unit level."

Basically, he's saying form EC8A will be taken by BVAS & UPLOADED into IREV,not just the raw figures of the form EC8A from the polling unit.
Raw figures of results in this sense means the score each party gets from a particular polling unit.
For instance ,in a polling unit, here's the score of each party.

LP= 30 Votes
PDP= 53 votes
APC = 79 votes

INEC chairman is saying that they will not transmit only the figures each party got in a particular polling unit,but will capture the result sheet [ form EC8A] using BVAS and upload the results to IREV where ANXIOUS Nigerians can monitor the results during election.

I still don't understand why some are claiming & interpreting that results won't be taken by BVAS and uploaded into the IREV from the polling unit. Or that results won't be transmitted in real time.

"He said Presiding Officers has the mandate to use the Bimodal Voters Accreditation (BVAS) machine to snap
election results documented on the results sheet from each polling unit and upload the photo of the result on the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IRev) for ANXIOUS NIGERIANS TO OBSERVE."


After reading that excerpt,how is someone claiming that INEC chairman said results [ form EC8A] will no longer be taken by BVAS and uploaded into IREV and will also no longer be transmitted in real time ?

This is pretty straightforward.

you deliberately decided to confuse yourself. INEC was specific. They are referring to raw data. INEC said they will not transmit raw data because it's easy to manipulate. The scanned copy is what is supposed to be transmitted realtime

First, results upload is a statutory requirement of the Electoral Act 2022. What this means is that INEC cannot choose not to upload.

Now, the only thing INEC defenders always hinge on to defend INEC’s failure to upload results is that a section of the Electoral Act empowers INEC to determine how it would conduct elections.

But the question is, does INEC have powers to denigrate a statutory provision of the law in exercising whatsoever powers they feel the law gives them?

With that said, it is imperative to state that what Mahmoud Yakubu said in the publication you are referring to is that INEC will not upload raw figures but “snap” form EC8A with BVAS machine and upload from polling units. He never said they were no longer going to upload results in “real time”.
