Davoneskay:I understand that there are diffulties interpreting scriptures. That isn't enough reasons to fictionalize biblical intentions into witchcracy or demons or anything of some unrealistic sort. Rather, the bible is simply a battle of Faiths! If you had limited your scope to only faith which is realistic, you would have been 100% correct in your view |
Davoneskay:are you Jehovah witness? |
MindHacker9009:where exactly did you see the destruction of the second temple? |

Menu How Pastor Taiwo Odukoya’s Personal Tragedies Led to His Demise Ilesanmi Adekanbi7 hours ago 2 minutes read Facebook Twitter LinkedIn WhatsApp Telegram Pastor Taiwo Odukoya Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the founder of Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju Lagos, passed away on Monday at the age of 67 in the United States of America (USA). He was a respected and influential preacher who touched many lives with his ministry. However, behind his public persona, he was a man who struggled with personal tragedies that affected his health and well-being. Pastor Taiwo, or Pastor T as he was affectionately called by his congregation, married his first wife, Bimbo, in 1984. They met at the University of Ibadan where they were both students. They had a strong and loving relationship that was evident in their ministry. They co-pastored the church and hosted a popular television programme called “Single and Married”. They also had three children together. However, their blissful marriage came to an abrupt end on December 10, 2005, when Pastor Bimbo died in a Sosoliso plane crash. She was returning from a speaking engagement in Port Harcourt when the plane crashed and killed all 103 passengers on board. She was 45 years old. The death of Pastor Bimbo was a devastating blow to Pastor Taiwo. He was heartbroken and grief-stricken by the loss of his soulmate and partner in ministry. He also had to deal with the negative comments and rumours that circulated after her death. Some people accused him of being responsible for her death or having affairs with other women. These allegations hurt him deeply and made him lose trust in people. He tried to cope with his pain and move on with his life. He continued to pastor the church and raise his children. He also remarried in 2010 to Nomthi, a South African woman who was also a pastor. They had two children together and co-authored several books on marriage and family. However, tragedy struck again on November 9, 2021, when Pastor Nomthi died of cancer. She was 47 years old. She had been battling the disease for some time and had undergone several treatments. She was a supportive and caring wife to Pastor Taiwo and a mother figure to his children from his first marriage. The death of Pastor Nomthi was another huge shock to Pastor Taiwo. He felt like he had lost his second chance at happiness and love. He wondered why God had allowed him to suffer such losses in his life. He also feared what people would say about him losing two wives in such a short span of time. He became depressed and withdrawn from the world. He lost interest in his ministry and his health deteriorated. He travelled to the USA for medical treatment but he never recovered fully. He died on August 7, 2023, leaving behind five children and a legacy of faith. Pastor Taiwo Odukoya was a man who loved God and loved people. He preached the gospel with passion and power. He mentored many young leaders and inspired many couples with his teachings on marriage. He also faced many challenges and sorrows in his life that tested his faith and strength. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten by those who knew him and loved him. https://newsflashuk.com/how-pastor-taiwo-odukoyas-personal-tragedies-led-to-his-demise

mrstheo:Stop falling for scam!! You don't need deliverance. You need school so that when you graduate, you should be able to explain |
constancefriday:in order words, one must be a believer before he can have that authority? |
joxxy01:speaking in tongue according to what Paul addressed in that scripture was simply incantation, if you can think along . You know, bible was recorded last in ancient times approximately 2000 years ago. During this period, humans were much more primitive and ritualistic. So speaking in tongues was one of the rituals humans(especially prophets) were doing thinking that the simple ritual of tongue speaking was powerful enough to evoke the presence of God, just like our traditional babalawos in Africa will say incantations before performing rituals. It was a thing of the primitive world without adequate enlightenment or education. That's why in a bid that the congregation should be enlightened of what the speaker(The prophet) is saying, Paul recommended that the incantation during prophecy should be interpreted as well . But today church are not seeing it that way that they are talking incantation like babalawos, They keep talking blunders in prayer |
Dtruthspeaker:then to walk in his steps in the context of the scripture may implies to walk in faith in Christ if one could have it literal meaning. Otherwise, it was not there to contradict another verse such as Romans 6:28 The bible cannot be a contradiction of itself The salvation and eternal life is "since Christ was raised to life, so shall we be raised to life" Romans 6:4,5 and 23that is the point I'm making. |
Myer:this definition is based on religious law and not the universal ethical law which summarizes, "Love your neighbour as yourself " Some religious laws are usually optional. That means, you can choose to obey or not to obey them. For instance, a Shari'a law which is a religious law requires that if one tear the Quran, he is liable to be punushed . So, if I choose to tear my Quran i bought with my money how does that affects another person? Therefore the law is optional. This is how fornication law is also applied in religion And all over the bible, this is a sin.it might interest you to know that the word FORNICATION in the bible means, one having sexual intercourse with his father's wife which is sinful. And not sex out of wedlock as purpurted by religion in the definition you mentioned earlier. 1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. This is only scripture in the bible that the word fornication was clearly defined. Every other verses that mentioned the word did not define it outrightly 1. It is disobedience to God's word.yet there were several cases in the bible where people start raising families without engaging into wedlock. For instance, it was never recorded that Jesus and Mary wedded. Yet they had children and were committed to their union. Isaac and Rebecca never wedded. The bible recorded that the moment Isaac saw Rebecca, he took her in and she became his wife, that's all. 4. You also exchange STIs.this will only happen if the couple involved are not committed to the union as though they have married 5. That's someone's daughter or son if you understand Parenting.so long the parents have agreed that their daughter or son should be united to him or her, i do not see any big deal The society and religion today are making things complicated for intended couples |
Dtruthspeaker:there is nothing in these scriptures to show that if we keep to these things, then we have salvation or justication into eternal life. Rather, the scriptures are only encouraging us to keep these laws which are very good. Compare to this scripture Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. That is, without all the things mentioned in the Ephesians 5:1-2, 1 John 2:6 and 1 Peter 2:21 you quoted And justification by faith there in the Romans 3:28 strictly refers to justification into eternal life. Not the justification we have by doing good or obeying Christ commandments So understand the difference |
Dtruthspeaker:do you have any scripture with a comprehensive explanation in support of this? Because, on the contrary Scriptures affirms that we are saved by Grace through faith and not by works. And you know that being christ-like is simply works. Only that it is a good works and it isn't bad. |
Myer:what do you mean by "To fear God? " Explain yourself? Because what i know is, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom also implies doing what is right You clearly don't see any thing wrong in fornicationI don't know what you people call fornication. Two young people are matured enough to get married and become committed looking towards a better future for each other in sincerity without breaking each other's heart or cheating until they decide to start having children and raise a family. Tell me, how is that one fornication? As for the op saying he was involved in a sexual sin. He didn't clearly state who he was involved with, whether she was someone he is dating or some hook ups. But all I'm saying is, in either case the op should leave God out of it and face the consequences if he was involved in a hook up that perhaps may have lead to unwanted pregnancy or some STDs as no amount of prayer or crying for forgiveness will revert the situation. Or if he was involved in a genuine committed relationship which is not different from marriage, and he is enjoying the union, he should also leave God out of it and enjoy his life. God isn't a tyrant. Whatever you sow, that is what you will reap |
Dtruthspeaker:that is not the issue! Scripturaes usually demands extensive and comprehensive study that's why it seems unending. In the real sense, there is a comprehensive end. That's what i seek to redress. but as i have told you, i argue only on specific isssue and will part as soon as that issue is settled.your answer that a Christian is mere christ-like has defeated the main purpose of Christianity which is salvation as christlikeness or whatever, does not equate to salvation which is through Grace by faith alone Romans 4:22 says Abraham had faith and it was imputed to him for righteousness. and now you have moved to "is a Christian the same as a believer, before, during or after resurrection?"you were half right as this truth of changing isn't complete without salvation of the soul. Anybody can decide to change A Muslim can change An hinduist can change. An atheist can change But that doesn't mean they are saved simply because they changed from their wrong doing. Hence, the reason why i asked the question, at what time do we start having Christians? (so finally pastor Chris has made you an.antiGod and Antichrist. i did warn you years ago)see this one, why cares about pastors? ![]() You are finding it difficult to distinguish between a Christian and a non Christian why will you not say this confused statement? ![]() The op also made the same confusion up there that's why he can't answer my question. And you want to help him answer but you end up mixing up in confusion ![]() |
Dtruthspeaker:and your statement was Dtruthspeaker:does this mean presence of buying and selling what are you saying? ![]() And it was us, a whole nation of free people who experienced it not slaves,OK, During the covid lock down? ![]() so you have nothing and the argument is over as I would not be having an endless argument. Byeno, keep arguing what you don't understand let the world see you ![]() And you call yourself a Christian mocking Jesus Christ to the world |
Dtruthspeaker:ok! A believer after the death and resurrection of Christ and a Christian, is there any difference? Please quote scriptures to support your answer And i think the accurate question you should have asked is "at what point does a person become a Christian?"no! It isn't necessarily to ask since you can't predict what is anyone's mind. We can notice a Muslim always attending church, but that doesn't stop him from being a Muslim in his heart and not "At what point in the bible do we have Christians?"if you are a careful reader of the bible you will notice that scriptural events were written according to time.Time consciousness have been ignored by many Christians. There were times of the old covenant events which elapsed the moment Christ resurrected, followed by the time of the new covenant events which commences In the book of Act of the apostles. So, i ask again, at what time in the bible do we start having Christians Christians are people who choose and change to become it. They do not fall from the sky like rain.ok. When do we start having them in the bible? Is it before Jesus was crucified or after his resurrection? If it is after his resurrection, how come some fails to understand that when Jesus told Nicodemus that you must be born again he has not yet been crucified talkless of being resurrect therefore the term born again has nothing to do with Christianity? You know, Christians don't think |
Dtruthspeaker:how is absence of buying and selling different from restriction of economic activities which may happen occasionally throughout human history? For your information, during the era of slavery, some slaves were never allowed to buy and sell. In the old testament when Pharoah enslaved the Israelites, possibly the Israelites were restricted of economic activities in Egypt, isn't that worst than what you experienced during the covid lockdown where you were never enslaved? If your so called end time was dependent on you not being able to buy and sell, certainly, the world would have ended in the days of Pharoah and the Israelites |
Dtruthspeaker:this is how to answer simple questions! Who is a Christian? Ans: a Christian is anyone who.... At what point in the bible do we have Christians? Ans : you quote the scripture and explain Is that too hard? |
Dtruthspeaker:simple question, have you ever seen or experience mark666 ? |
Fididiguy:Who is a Christian, and at what point in the bible do we start having Christians? |
verybadmouth:you mean, the world is for the holy spirit, purification and divine presence? But why do Christians sometimes say Satan ruled the world? |
Dtruthspeaker:how about mark 666 mentioned in verse 18, do you experience that one too? |

Dtruthspeaker:there is nothing in revelation 13:17 to show that it is about the future And all those chip implant things now.runningthis is a clear conspiracy theory and has nothing to do with the bible Jw are devils and are therefore mad to say that they are the 12000. Every reasonable person knows that, they are mad devils in disguisethe same Charles Russel who deceived them that the world was coming to an end in 1914 deceived them that they are the 12,000 |
Dtruthspeaker:quote one scripture that suggest revelation is about the future, just one Hence looking at how isreal is very very antiGod today we can see how and why only 12000 per tribe will be real-eyesable.do you agree that jw isn't among the 12,000 per tribe?? |
MaxInDHouse:deligently, like Charles T. Russel a primary school drop out of the 19th century in the US who Illiterately misinterpreted scriptures to form your doctrines? No now! Now open your copy of the Bible no matter the version you're using to Exodus 1:2-5so, what has this got to do with Jw? But in the Bible book of Revelations this is what you'll find:notwithstanding, one is yet to see Jw among these tribes |
Dtruthspeaker:that scripture or anywhere in the bible never mentioned anything about this current day, Jw's are all dreaming day light delusion, It's never for them . It specifically mentioned all the 12 tribes of Israel at that time or era of the bible, not now |
Jayses:they are the 12 tribes of Israel and nothing more. This simply implies that the Jews were never excluded from the kingdom of God, Forget witnesses! |
Sonnetoshodi:I don't know why you people like putting God in a bad light, portraying him to the world as one wicked man who frowns when people have sex. What you should bother is, how does you having sex affects you negatively or how does it affect the person you are having sex negatively? You people should leave God out of your emotions o, he is not interested and he will not stop blessing you or being close to you so long you do other things right. Have you ever seen a father disowning a child because he or she have sex? You want to tell us that humans who don't disown their children are better than God abi? |
You atheists, you will just jump into arguments without fully prepared. Is that not the beginning of failure? ![]() Wilgrea7:Google defines the law of thought as everything have it's own identity. Which is invariably the same thing is if one does not know the identity of a thing you can't say anything categorically about it But since definitions are not the main focus of this discussion, I'll let it go.letting it go implies you never put that into consideration before you jump into the argument, thereby making your arguments very terrible as i pointed earlier [what ground do you now fictionalize a religious holy book like Harry potter? Then Socrate and Aristole or any ancient or Non contemporary character should be Harry potter to you now You're the one who pointed to religious books as proof of gods..have you read any of the religious books to see for yourself if the proof is there? The answer is No! Then why are you arguing? If you try to argue at this your ignorant state of these holy books, then you are simply breaking the law of identity since you don't know the identity of these books and i explained to you that writing something down in and of itself is not proof that the thing is true.and i said it does not apply in This case If I wrote today that socrates had one eye, then you are writing out of context of books containing socrate's history because you do not know the identity of socrate, perhaps you had deliberately refused to read the books first before writing. And with that, you have put up a terrible argument and future generations found this writing, would it make it true? Nothis is what atheists are doing that will never make their arguments true. On the other hand, if you claim that this also apply to religious holy books then you must read atleast one holy book first. Then from what yiou have read, you can now mention that a character in the said holy book have one eye or something ,just like the illustration you wrote that Socrates have one eye .That is the only way you atheists can present a sound argument void of irrationality against the existence of a god or God |
constancefriday:well! All i will say is, such beliefs is currently rendering the global church into disarray and disunity especially in Africa where ignorance of scriptures has largely affected, which was never the intention of Christ establishing the church on earth through his death and resurrection. How will someone who does not believe in the death and resurrection of Christ is counted among the kingdom is that scriptural? |
Workch:obviously, you have nothing else to say. This is another terrible argument against God with a very quack conclusion ![]() |
