This is my answer to a previous thread.

The problem today is that most people read the Bible like novels. To interpret what is the bible, you need the Holy Spirit. First and foremost, in the book of Proverbs Chapter 1:1 - 6, the bible was not written for the canal mind.

Not to bore you to much, the temple may mean a building but prophetically, it means your body. Not everybody's body is a temple. The Bible made it clear that our body is the temple of God. But in the book of Daniel and other books of the prophets, there is something called, 'abomination of desolation.'

Not everyone knows the meaning but several people are passing through this bondage. I am not too good at memorizing bible verses. But I will try to mention some bible verses ... Daniel 11:28 - 30 spoke about Holy Covenant and abomination of desolation likewise Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Christ spoke about it.

Now the full explanation - when you are innocent, that is, you are not into sourcery/witchcraft or worship no other God except Jehovah, you are in conformity with the holy covenant. But once you become a witch/wizard/soucerer/idol worshipper, then the abomination of desolation is your new line and your master is Satan.
In the book of Daniel 11:31, the sanctuary (that is the body, i.e. temple) got defiled by Satan who made those who forsook the holy covenant to become witches and wizards when they least expected, hence, their worship to Jehovah God cannot be accepted anymore. Hence, the writing in Daniel 11:31, "... And forces shall be mustered by him (the beast) and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation."

In my next comment, I will interpret the signs of the end of time prophetically.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the founder of Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju Lagos, passed away on Monday at the age of 67 in the United States of America (USA).

He was a respected and influential preacher who touched many lives with his ministry. However, behind his public persona, he was a man who struggled with personal tragedies that affected his health and well-being.

Pastor Taiwo, or Pastor T as he was affectionately called by his congregation, married his first wife, Bimbo, in 1984. They met at the University of Ibadan where they were both students. They had a strong and loving relationship that was evident in their ministry. They co-pastored the church and hosted a popular television programme called “Single and Married”. They also had three children together.

However, their blissful marriage came to an abrupt end on December 10, 2005, when Pastor Bimbo died in a Sosoliso plane crash. She was returning from a speaking engagement in Port Harcourt when the plane crashed and killed all 103 passengers on board. She was 45 years old.

The death of Pastor Bimbo was a devastating blow to Pastor Taiwo. He was heartbroken and grief-stricken by the loss of his soulmate and partner in ministry.

He also had to deal with the negative comments and rumours that circulated after her death. Some people accused him of being responsible for her death or having affairs with other women. These allegations hurt him deeply and made him lose trust in people.

He tried to cope with his pain and move on with his life. He continued to pastor the church and raise his children. He also remarried in 2010 to Nomthi, a South African woman who was also a pastor. They had two children together and co-authored several books on marriage and family.

However, tragedy struck again on November 9, 2021, when Pastor Nomthi died of cancer. She was 47 years old. She had been battling the disease for some time and had undergone several treatments. She was a supportive and caring wife to Pastor Taiwo and a mother figure to his children from his first marriage.

The death of Pastor Nomthi was another huge shock to Pastor Taiwo. He felt like he had lost his second chance at happiness and love. He wondered why God had allowed him to suffer such losses in his life. He also feared what people would say about him losing two wives in such a short span of time.

He became depressed and withdrawn from the world. He lost interest in his ministry and his health deteriorated. He travelled to the USA for medical treatment but he never recovered fully. He died on August 7, 2023, leaving behind five children and a legacy of faith.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya was a man who loved God and loved people. He preached the gospel with passion and power. He mentored many young leaders and inspired many couples with his teachings on marriage.

He also faced many challenges and sorrows in his life that tested his faith and strength. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten by those who knew him and loved him.

speaking in tongue according to what Paul addressed in that scripture was simply incantation, if you can think along .

You know, bible was recorded last in ancient times approximately 2000 years ago. During this period, humans were much more primitive and ritualistic.
So speaking in tongues was one of the rituals humans(especially prophets) were doing thinking that the simple ritual of tongue speaking was powerful enough to evoke the presence of God, just like our traditional babalawos in Africa will say incantations before performing rituals.

It was a thing of the primitive world without adequate enlightenment or education.

That's why in a bid that the congregation should be enlightened of what the speaker(The prophet) is saying, Paul recommended that the incantation during prophecy should be interpreted as well .

But today church are not seeing it that way that they are talking incantation like babalawos,
They keep talking blunders in prayer

For instance, it was never recorded that Jesus and Mary wedded. Yet they had children and were committed to their union.
Isaac and Rebecca never wedded.
The bible recorded that the moment Isaac saw Rebecca, he took her in and she became his wife, that's all.

This is the grace and power we have been given.

there is nothing in these scriptures to show that if we keep to these things, then we have salvation or justication into eternal life. Rather, the scriptures are only encouraging us to keep these laws which are very good.

Compare to this scripture

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

That is, without all the things mentioned in the Ephesians 5:1-2, 1 John 2:6 and
1 Peter 2:21 you quoted

And justification by faith there in the Romans 3:28 strictly refers to justification into eternal life. Not the justification we have by doing good or obeying Christ commandments

So understand the difference

As for the op saying he was involved in a sexual sin. He didn't clearly state who he was involved with, whether she was someone he is dating or some hook ups.

But all I'm saying is, in either case the op should leave God out of it and face the consequences if he was involved in a hook up that perhaps may have lead to unwanted pregnancy or some STDs as no amount of prayer or crying for forgiveness will revert the situation.
Or if he was involved in a genuine committed relationship which is not different from marriage, and he is enjoying the union, he should also leave God out of it and enjoy his life.

For your information, during the era of slavery, some slaves were never allowed to buy and sell.
In the old testament when Pharoah enslaved the Israelites, possibly the Israelites were restricted of economic activities in Egypt, isn't that worst than what you experienced during the covid lockdown where you were never enslaved?

What you should bother is, how does you having sex affects you negatively or how does it affect the person you are having sex negatively?

You people should leave God out of your emotions o, he is not interested and he will not stop blessing you or being close to you so long you do other things right.

Have you ever seen a father disowning a child because he or she have sex?
You want to tell us that humans who don't disown their children are better than God abi?

The Kingdom of God is not a religious matter. Religion is a human invention while the Kingdom of God is a divine manifestation.
It is not restricted only for Christians, anyone from any religious group or category who follows the mustard seed principles can manifest God's Kingdom.
If a Christian doesn't follow the mustard seed principles, such a fellow will only be a frustrated church goer who doesn't have God's Presence and power in his or her life.
That's why God gave some nations who didn't even worship him some privileges eg King Nebuchadnezzar according to God was raised by God to judge the sinful nations who rebelled against God including Israel who were offending God before the great historic Babylonian invasion.

All i will say is, such beliefs is currently rendering the global church into disarray and disunity especially in Africa where ignorance of scriptures has largely affected, which was never the intention of Christ establishing the church on earth through his death and resurrection.

How will someone who does not believe in the death and resurrection of Christ is counted among the kingdom is that scriptural?
