armyofone: Stress ages the human body. He looks older than grandpa Pres B. Hope he finds time to rest his body and not bother with the election process again.
Right. He will be better off being a sort of political godfather to the likes of Gov Desantis, Tulsi Gabbard, Kari Lake etc.
Well, for the Super Falcons to have ANY chance of advancing from Group B, they will need to learn how to string more than 3 passes in the opposition half and in midfield. The team will also need midfielders who are intelligent enough to spot the runs of Oshoala, Ajibade, Onumonu and release passes to them ON TIME. Otherwise, this team will be eliminated from the WC group stage.
afrodoc2: Indians are incredibly competitive but usually gang up together to pull one another up. If an Indian gets into an organisation he will work hard to climb to the top, but also ensure that he gets other Indians in as well. Check back in 15 years and the organisation is half-Indian. It doesn’t matter if it is even receptionist job. That receptionist’s son will grow up to become a heart surgeon.
Nigerians are very competitive but often tackle one another not to be left behind. If a Nigerian gets a good job in a lucrative organisation he will probably tell his fellow Nigerians that it is God. He won’t fight hard to get them in so that they don’t pour “sand sand” in his garri. Nigerians will usually try to do it alone while Indians pool resources together like crazy.
Another thing about Indians is that they have sneaky good way of ingratiating themselves with top white guys, and before you know it they are “in” with the bosses and making fun of you guys while other immigrants are still on the outside looking in.
The last factor is just population advantage. There are a billion of those guys back in India trying to head out to the West.
This is commendable. But the country still needs to generate AND transmit 30,000-40,000MW to guarantee 24hr electricity supply. I know it will take time; that’s why I hope the next governments at the federal and state levels will continue to invest massively in the power sector.
Twitter are about to layoff 25% or more of their workers within the next year. If Elon Musk’s takeover bid is cleared by the US government, he may fire a whopping 75% of the company’s workforce!
This link suggests that a key reason for such a massive layoff is that Twitter recorded a $411 million loss last year..
FIFA WC fun fact: Come 2023, the Super Falcons would have faced the host nation 5 times in group play, having faced hosts 1999 and 2003 hosts USA; 2011 hosts, Germany; 2019 hosts, France; and 2023 co-hosts, Australia.
BTW, I am seeing some coincidences in this Flamingos tournament and the Falconets campaign at the 2010 U-20 WC:
- In 2010, the Falconets eliminated the US on penalties in the quarter finals, and set up a semifinal meeting vs Colombia. This year, the Flamingos have done the exact same thing.
- Also in 2010, the Falconets defeated Colombia in the semifinals of the WC. Would the Flamingos follow suit?
