see d Dutch female women and d present Dutch male team
Chaii
I dy shame for una oool The Dutch team are a well-drilled side. I’ve enjoyed some of their attacking moves in the tournament, but I just think the US are 90 or 120 mins away from defending their title. |

FT: Netherlands 1-0 Sweden.. The Netherlands have now won 12 consecutive matches at both the last European championships and this World Cup It would be tough for the US against this Dutch team, but the superior athleticism of the US should give the Stars and Stripes the slight edge. |

Phew... Each member of the US Women’s national team is set to become $300,000 richer, this year, if they win the World Cup on Saturday. Can you imagine Alex Morgan would also earn close to $2million this year as well. Around $1.5 million would come from her endorsement deals. Bear in mind that her hubby plays for an MLS team - the LA Galaxy - and her earns...$67,000/year in total. |

Grundig: Cmon guys. Lets call VAR what it really is. CRAP!!! The offside call was extremely tight! That’s why I’ve called for an amendment to the offside rule. There has to be clear “daylight” between the attacker and the 2nd to last player on the defending team for an offside to be called. Flagging a player offside because her/his foot was 2cm ahead is bullshit!! |

Ibime: These US girls dey run like men sha. Even their kicks dey clear field. They should be tested for steroids. Absolutely! Their best athletic team, by a mile, in this tournament. They’re the best team that can combine athleticism with sleek technical play! But Lucy Bronze can match whatever athleticism the US forwards throw at her. After all, she’s the best fullback in the world. |

The two Democratic primary debate nights pulled in 15 million and 18 million viewers respectively. In fact, the Thursday night debate - which drew in 18 million viewers - is now the most-watched Democratic presidential primary debate.
- The August 2015 Republican presidential debate, with 24 million viewers, is still the most-watched presidential primary debate of any party. |

The people you listed are adequately covered in the team, Balogun is in his 30s chai! Lol. Balogun’s experience would be of benefit to the team. If Balogun ain’t there, then Omeruo should be there. Now, I also agree that Ndidi would be a very good addition to the team. |

Looking forward to next year’s Olympics, assuming the Super Falcons make it, I wouldn’t want to see the likes of Chikwelu, Ayinde, Oparanozie, Nwabuoku and Faith Michael near the team. The players from the last U-20 World Cup should form the bulk of the 18-player squad, with Toni Payne, Umotong joining them. |

TheSuperNerd: You are right my man.
Netherlands with Lieke Martens, Miedema, Van de Don et al are really really superior technically. They play like their male counterparts. Their football is so sweet to behold. They have that edge over the other European teams even the super athletic England. It would be bloody close but I expect A Holland triumph in the semis against any of Germany or Sweden. Talking of Germany vs Sweden.... Well, hard to call but let me give it to the Efficient German girls. If they fail, then that is their business... Lol
But USA vs England is gonna be the tightest game yet in this WWC edition. But I still tip USA to make the final vs Netherlands. Let's see how it goes. Yes, I fully expect the English ladies to give the Americans a stern test! I’m looking forward to the wing battles between Lucy Bronze - the best full back in the women’s game - and Megan Rapinoe; and Nikita Parris and Crystal Dunn. If the English ladies shackle both American wingers - Rapinoe and Heath - they’d also have the unenviable task of shackling the American midfield trio of Mewis, Lavelle, and Horan/Ertz, who are clearly the best midfield trio at the tournament, to have any slight chance of winning the game. The tactical battles all over the pitch makes this game a must-watch one on Tuesday. |

I know it’s way to early, but as of now, the three overage players I’ll pick for next year’s Olympics would be Ahmed Musa, Balogun and Omeruo - based on current form. I’m also imagining what a Dream team’s attacking trio of Chukwueze, Onyekuru, and Osimhen at would do to opposing defenses in Japan next year. |

timay: Issa Hayatou was right afterall. He has been pressured to move it to June but the guy resisted, sighting climate reasons.
May be that was why he was booted out, and their puppet, Ahmad Ahmad was installed. Cos I noticed that the first thing the guy did as a CAF president was to move the Afcon date from January to June.
Issa Hayatou may be corrupt (FIFA too also stink of corruption) but he obviously knows African football and Africa as a whole. If CAF insists on a June/July schedule for the AFCON, then they should be prepared to send at least $500m to the host countries (in West or North Africa) to either install retractable roofs on their stadia, or other climate control technology. Otherwise, the tournament would have to be hosted by southern African teams |

TheSuperNerd: I expect Holland to win and make it through. I was so glad USA knocked out France too. And the Dutch went through I expect them to beat either Germany or Sweden in the semis because the Dutch are technically superior to both teams; though Sweden/German have the edge in terms of athleticism. |

emmy2807: I read on goal.com facebook page, that UN is making a case of gender equality by comparing the wages of male footballers with that of female footballer, and pushing for a balance. I was so pissed when i read it, what the fvck, how do they expect male and female footballers to have similar wages? Do they generate the same amount of revenue? Do they have the same amount of viewers? Nigerian league male players do not recieve anything close to what european league players do, for an obvious reason. So what's the fuss about? Equality my foot. I dont have issues with women empowerment, i just hate that they always try to tear down men while at it. Equal pay for both male and female footballers is possible in the US because the US women’s national team brings in almost the same revenue as their male counterparts. In fact, the most watched football match in American TV history was the final of the last FIFA Women’s Word Cup in 2015, which the US won 5-1. Around 24 million people tuned in to watch that match. So, the US ladies are justified in asking for some parity and suing the US Soccer Federation to that effect. I’m not so sure if female players in other countries deserve equal pay though. |

The big winners last night were Warren and Castro. If Castro has another strong showing in July, then expect him to be on the debate stage in September. I’m mentioning September because the criteria for candidates have doubled: the candidates would need to have 130,000 unique donors AND be polling at 2% (or more) in selected national polls. I’m certain that campaign dollars would be pouring into his campaign coffers, and his poll numbers will skyrocket. I will go out on a limb to predict that a max of 6-7 candidates would qualify for the September debate(s). |
