Sorry, let me say one more rant about VAR...

In the Norway match, Anam Imo (I think) was tackled in the box after she had kicked the ball away from the goal. There was no VAR review of that incident.

BUT the VAR in the Thailand v Chile game reviewed the tackle the Thai keeper made on the Chilean player AFTER the same Chilean player had kicked the ball away from goal. And the referee awarded the penalty to Chile.

This kind of inconsistency drives me nuts! Because assuming the SF were awarded that penalty vs Norway, and the penalty was converted, we would have celebrated the Super Falcons qualification to the round of 16 before the Thailand v. Chile match.

I actually think the 2015 Falcons had better quality than the current team. Yes, I welcome the new players and all but the 2015 was better. i miss players like Sarah Nnodim and Ugo Njoku
It was tactical ineptitude from Edwin Okon that cost that team a place in the knockout rounds

Chilean coach left his players on the pitch and stormed off at full time. Poor dude.

Going forward, we need to play big grade A friendlies so we can enter top 15 in the world ranking, where we truly belong. Then we will have more chances of being in groups with Thailand and Chile.
I make bold to say that if the Super Falcons had Chile and Thailand in the group, the SF would have advanced with 6 points.

I like Oshoala as a player, but her attitude when playing nowadays actually stinks. Dont know why, but she's too complacent and casual.
Same attitude with the likes of Victor Moses and Mikel. Whenever they don the GWG, they just stroll around the pitch putting in minimal effort. It’s really sad

Having scored 18 goals in the group stage, the United States has set a record for the most goals scored in a WWC group stage.
Norway held the previous record of 17 goals at the 1995 WWC

If Dennerby starts Oparanozie and Uchenna Kanu upfront, the SF will give Germany lots of problems. Like I’ve said earlier, the German center backs can’t stand pacy forwards, and they always leave gaps behind.

For the first time in history, two African teams advance to the knockout round of the FIFA WWC.
Congrats to both Nigeria and Cameroon!!

The US has now tied Norway with the most goals scored in the group stage.
Both nations have now scored 17 goals - Norway in 1995, USA in 2019.

I cannot have a lineup without Ordega. She is an absolute baller.

—————————-Nnadozie———————-

Ohale———Ebi———-Okeke———-Uchendu

Ogebe—-Nwabuoku—A. Okonkwo

Ordega———-Oparanozie/Ajibade——Ihezuo
For me, Ordega has only had one good game - the Norway match - She has otherwise been average in the last two games.
Well, it’s understandable that she was average against France because Dennerby Parker the bus. But in the Korea match, she wasn’t that effective

If Nigeria luckily qualifies for the next round of the competition, Okobi and Ayinde should not even dress up as substitutes. One of the problems that engulf Africans is inability to make a drastic change.
Their defensive work was top notch against France, but I agree that the must have completed less than 10% of their attempted passes.

If either of them don’t start on Saturday, I’d go with this formation:

—————————-Nnadozie———————-

————Ohale———Ebi———-Okeke———-

——-Ogebe—-Nwabuoku—A. Okonkwo—Uchendu——

——————————-Ajibade———————

——————-Oparanozie——U. Kanu—————

OK people, I am 100% sure Thailand will not lose to Chile by 3-0. If anything, Thailand is likely to win that match. Chile is tier 4, Thailand is Tier 3.

We will beat Germany btw. If we play like we did against France, Germany is toast.
The German team I’ve watched are weak defensively, especially in central defense. If the likes of Kanu and Oparanozie click on the day, I see the SF scoring one or two goals against the Germans.

I pray Nigeria qualifies so the jinx of Ajibade could be broken. This girl has appeared in four world cups at the underage level and none of the teams went beyond group stage.
Ajibade played for the U-20 team that reached the quarter finals of last year’s U-20 World Cup
