Hello, everything and anything can be debunked. There are rules and yes rules change. Man evolves, everything about our planet changes, there are no set rules.

We can only study, analyze, but someone in some generation will see something that was missed. Even if it means building on an established fact, it would still change.

Science changes it is why its referred to as many discovery. Scientific research cannot end because it leads to more and more questions. However, we need to understand where we are being manipulated and when facts are actually stated. We can only do this if we are ready to think and use our heads. I wonder when Nigeria will focus more on research. I am not a scientist, I'm a researcher.. I'm curious.

After I argue with you and probably get some insults from some about being dumb I'm going back to learn. Infact I'm looking up carbon dating now...but that doesn't mean I'll believe the earth is 4.8billion years. It could be more it could be less but I certainly have no capacity to know and I won't let someone who is also not sure tell me what to believe.

I'm pointing out the imperfections of science. When people argue about science most atheists on nairaland are quick to assume the person a religious fanatic of some sort.

My argument is strictly that whoever dated that organism 24,000 is just up with another theory and it can't be taken for a fact.

There are so many things we don't know about our planet. Some people act like they do but then someone comes up and debunks it.

They confuse innovation with science meanwhile they are two different concepts.
The purpose of science is to inquire, or find out the reason why something has happened, it is still a guess work but they try to get as close to the possible reason.

In this way many scientists have exploited many people who are not ready to think or ask questions. Once they say some gibberish we are quick to accept like some people are doing with this 24,000 years animal.

People asked logical questions because they couldn't see anything and then they quickly pounced on them talking about going to read a book. For bleeps sake someone wrote that book probably while they were on their sixth glass of brandy.

You're a sceptic until you experience the supernatural. I don't think anybody can provide evidence of the supernatural and that is why there is hardly any logical explanation for so many events.

However, I think we have had very intellectuals and people of high repute who have witnessed this things and have become believers of the supernatural.

My only advice till today is instead of waiting for people to bring evidence, why not search for it. That's why I like whites ,they are ready to take risks and explore.

Everything about the disciples of Jesus Christ is written in the new testament.

As for the reference to Jesus Christ's remarks you will find them in the first four books of the new testament. If you study enough you will learn the role of the disciples and maybe understand how they are very much not to be compared to charlatan pastors today.

Why did he send them the Holy Spirit to guide them on their journey?

What is the point of the book of revelation. After all Jesus Christ did not say those words, you can as well disregard John. You see, you have just exposed what is happening in the church today. Christians are divided among themselves. You have equated the apostles to the pastors of today and therefore regarded their messages as not relevant.

You really need to go back to genesis down to revelation to understand what it really is to serve God. Please know him better and stop assuming you know it all. I am still learning, and I want to know more about the God I'm serving.

4. Singing, carrying a mic, evangelizing, let me guess, handling church finances... and all other roles necessary for the running of your church businesses here on earth. So what has any of that to do with what Jesus Christ in fact spent approximately 4 years teaching His disciples to do? What has that to do with letting the light of Jesus Christ, the Truth of God, shine in our individual lives or are you somehow convinced this light is meant to help you sing, carry mic, or handle the finances of whatever group you belong to?

5. Jesus Christ told you that the only teaching you are to trust and obey is His teachings and His teachings alone. He declared that all other teachings that do not conform to His teachings are lies and nothing but. All throughout His time on earth, He stressed the fact that in His Kingdom all were called... the same call goes out to all and all those who answer are called Sons of God.... all of them equal and doing the same work. It is His teachings , His Word, that will judge us in the end - not the teachings of Peter, James, Paul, etc. No, we will all be judged the very words and commandments of Jesus Christ alone.
If you choose to ignore Jesus Christ so you can elevate the teachings of another over His, you are also guilty of following the doctrines and traditions of men, it is that simple.

You do realise that there are like three portions of the new testament where Jesus made that reference in different contexts and you conveniently decided to pick a bible passage Matt 20 for yourself.

You were also able to admit that Judas was in charge of finances and failed to acknowledge every other role of the disciples.

You also conveniently misinterpreted my meaning of church. Church is not a structure, it is the body of Christ which is you and I. We make up the church of God. Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Peter was handed keys to begin that church of which Christ was the foundation.

So please and please instead of going about nairaland trying to disprove Christians, why not learn. You always insinuate people are listening to MOGs. You do realise that we have been talking about scripture which I study very well on my own. Stop assuming everyone is somebody's flock.

Not everyone will be singing, not everyone will carry a mic to go evangelizing all at the same time. Everyone has a role in the propagation of the word of God and that is what offices and ministries are for.

Jesus Christ was the teacher of the disciples and he trained them on how to carry on his work. Everything the disciples did was in obedience to Jesus Christ's instruction and that is what we follow today.

Many people have made doctrines out of it and come up with their own theories. However, the truth remains for everyone who chooses to read scripture without filtering which one they like and the one they don't agree with. From Matthew to the Acts of the Apostles, every part of the gospel is very important.

That is not true and that is not what he taught if not he wouldn't have given Peter the keys to the church and given him the responsibility to plant his church.

Everyone of the disciples had their functions and responsibilities even Judas Iscariot was known to handle the finances. So please go and study your bible again, see where each of the disciples who were later referred to as apostles, where they functioned.

Everyone's work is cut out for them. Please discover your true purpose and don't let anyone decieve you that everything is general. We are all equal in the eyes of God. Like I said these are responsibilities not titles, being a prophet doesn't make you special, it means you have a job to do and you should get on it.

Even Jesus emphasized that the first shall be the last. The call to any job description is for service which means you should be ready to give your life for the gospel. Please go and study the word of God and stop arguing with people. Know the truth. Jesus did not teach us to argue with ourselves, the word of God is there as a moral compass, to guide us on the true purpose of God.

Offices and ministries are not high positions, it means service. And it means you are ready to carry your cross and follow Jesus. Find out what your cross is?

Many are also gifted in the administration of the church, welfare and other areas. Every thing is in place for the fulfillment of the word of God.

The last days are here and there will be aggressive evangelism. People need to know what their role is in preparation for the return of Christ. We all have a purpose on earth and we should know it. The reason there is awareness being raised about ministries and spiritual gifts is not for show or to make people think they are special.

It is to let them sit up and quickly move closer to God so he can use them for his purpose. On the day of judgement we will all account for our deeds and works. We cannot play ignorance. Please know what your role is and don't let any pastor deceive you that nobody hears from God except them. It is the false teachings of the antichrist that pushes people away from God and makes them only listen to the words of man.

Please go back through and study the teachings and comandments/rules of Jesus Christ so you can learn exactly what He has instead called you to.

That said, in the New Covenant Law of Jesus Christ, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, every follower of Jesus Christ, who submits to and obeys the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ is a defacto prophet and this,not according to Old Covenant definition of prophets but instead as described by Jesus Christ. For instance, a follower of Jesus Christ has no authority to bless or curse... that authority belongs to Jesus Christ and Christ alone.

There are no "special offices" of prophecy since all those who truly belong to Him have His Spirit inside of them and so they are His prophets.... I.e. Jesus Christ Himself lives His life through them.

Please realize that you are not called to serve God under Old Covenant rules but under Jesus Christ and you are called to preach only the Gospel of the Kingdom of God as taught to you by Jesus Christ. You have no authority teaching man's doctrines and traditions to anyone in the name of God.

The children of God are seeing the signs and just like the prophets of old we are being warned. Some people will laugh, mock and jest like in the days of Noah before the flood. He who has ears let him hear. May God keep his children safe.

First of all Catholicism has been one controversial sect from time immemorial. The truth is it is one of the early churches and one church that has kept its tradition.

On the issue of idol worshipping, I will say that the Catholic church is being misunderstood. People need to understand what devotion and reverence means as opposed to worship. It is true that some people go the extra mile to worship this images but that doesn't mean it is meant to be so.

However, I am of the belief that God is neither Catholic or Christian. We are all connected because of our relationship to our creator God and he sees all as his children. The bible in the new testament is very clear on one thing. You should not be fooled by religion, pastors or false prophets. He gave us the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth to know and identify the truth.

I think we should focus on the truth and not denominations. If you want to be a redeem member, mfm, etc it is fine so far they believe that Christ was born by immaculate conception, he was crucified, died on the cross, buried, raised the third day and will come again to judge both the living and the dead.

Anything other than this is irrelevant. Anyway I come in peace.

First of all what you should know about religion. There is no approved religion or belief. The term Christianity was coined as meaning those who follow Christ. The people the past referred to them as Christ-like because they were behaving like him.

Philosophy termed the practice of the Isrealites as Judaism. Their belief then was before the era of Jesus Christ. They had not seen the Messiah. The practice of Judaism is from the old covenant with the people of Israel. Where Moses wrote the laws of God on a tablet. Christianity is a branch of Judaism. It is under the new covenant God has with all the people of the world, both Jews and Gentiles. Remember Christianity means followers of Christ as opposed to a religion.

My reference on Prophet Sulaiman was because you failed to give me a clear understanding of the difference between the Isrealites Solomon and Islams Prophet Sulaiman. I went to read the story up on Islamic websites.

My only contention with the Islamic account is King Solomon was a King in Isreal. Ezra who was a leader in Jerusalem wrote the book of Kings and Chronicles. His account of their King Solomon completely differs from the Islamic view. Like I said who do I believe, an Isrealite talking about their King or a foreigner talking about another person's king.

I made reference to asking a Calabar man to tell the story of Sango. Who better can deliver a near accurate version than the people of Oyo State where they claim he originated from.

My doubt of the facts where based on facts. First we all know King Solomon was the author of the book of proverbs, he made no reference to magic or soccery. His works where scientific and philosophical, words of wisdom.

Also there was no time or era when animals could talk. Yes people can understand animal language in terms of sounds or actions but not actual words. Then the issue of Jinn, the old testament or Torah as you refer to it talks about God's disdain for magic. He punished King Saul for consorting with the Witch of Endor. Why would Solomon then do exactly what the king before his father did? The Kings of Isreal were always guided by their prophet's and priests. Islam conveniently omitted the tribe of the Levites where the priests where from.

I understand that the Qur'an has a mix of the stories of the Torah but it completely distorts the version of the Isrealites. You can't say that the people of Israel decided to completely alter their history can you?

I am not making any argument to insult religion. Like I said I am curious and I want to know all. Me I generally believe that there will be a time both Muslims and Christians will come together to worship God because in heaven there is no Muslim or Christian religion. We are all children of God and were created by him. The differences is in our mode of worship.

The God of the old testament is the same as the new testament. The new testament cannot be without the old testament. Jesus himself said he had not come to abolish the laws. He came in fulfilment of the prophecy in the old testament.

The bible is not written by one man but is a collection of books written by witnesses. The name of cains wife is not recorded anywhere in the old testament and again Christians did not author the books of the old testament.

It is not a denial, I am not denying anything. I'm only clearing a misconception where someone thinks Christians wrote the old testament books.

If you study religion well enough you will know that Solomon was practicing Judaism. There was nothing like Christianity or Islam even then. Islam came just over 600 years ago.. Christianity is over 2000 years.

No Christian will even tell you that King Solomon was a Christian. The people of Israel were practicing Judaism while other idol worshippers were following Baal.

Please go do your research and stop thinking the world started with Islam and would end with it. This is people's history you are talking about. How can you know better than them.

They are special creatures of God and they were given a unique miracle (Muslim call it muujisah) which they use to challenge their people, that Allah is Great. He (Allah) gave them power to perform these miracles and so they challenge their people that if they think Allah is not powerful, they should bring what is equivalent or more than their miracles. So, Allah endowed Solomon with this kind of muujisah. In his case, Allah give him the ability to control and talk to other creatures (e.g birds and Jinn). Jesus was also endowed with muujisah during his lifetime. All prophet of Allah were given their own unique muujisah.

Kindly refer to the Quran for full details about how Allah endowed His prophet with miracles for the sole purpose of challenging their people - that, if they think Allah is not a powerful creator, they should bring the equivalent of what they brought.

I am an open minded person and that is why I went ahead to read the story of Solomon according to the Islamic version. There are also stories in the bible I find hilarious too so I think it's equal.

However my bone of contention is why the Qur'an is talking about the story of King Solomon. I don't think anyone can best describe the life of their King other than their people. Its like asking a Calabar man about Sango.

The account is obviously conflicting with a lot of questionable things. The isrealites believe Solomon was blessed with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He was the author of the book of proverbs.

But the Qur'an made it look like he was a jihadist threatening Queen of Sheba that he would raise her kingdom down if she didn't serve God. That version also made it look like he was consorting with magicians or psychics which is forbidden even among the people of Israel.

I compared the two accounts and that was really something else making a chair magically appear from another kingdom. God is not known for magic. Whatever he does, he does for a reason. Solomon's wisdom was not magic. Then where did the talking to animals come from. I understand you can study the nature of animals but nobody can speak to them at least not on this earth.

I was forced to read their account of Solomon and I totally lost it...when I got to the part of the ants talking, I was looking to see if there was a WiFi speaker installed.

The bird part reminded of snow whites step mother. Then there was also the part where they talked about jinns.

Apparently they are some kind of sorcerers and where under some punishment with their Solomon. Like they literally turned Isreal's king to a joke. It's so hilarious, I felt I was reading a bedtime story.

According to Ibn Kathir, Solomon died leaning on his stick, which was staff and stood like that for nearly a year. It was not until insect ate his stick and it became weak that he fell to the ground. That was when everyone around him knew that he had died.

Now, this was a king. Not an ordinary person. So, are we to believe that for about a year no family member or servants or officials of his kingdom recognized that he had died standing? Are we to believe that no one attempted to communicate or speak with him throughout this period?

Those balloons are expensive. All those customized balloons. And the amount may depend on the size of the hall they are using. Things are expensive in this government.. I once worked in an events and décor company. If you see how much it costs for ordinary flowers not to talk of other things like table cover and the rest. If you have been having a recurring dream, it simply means that God is trying to tell you something but you are not getting the message. I had a repeated dream every month for over 10 years about visiting a family friends house. All the time I would go to their corridor and peep run down to the end of the the passage and that was it for over 10 years, I was worried because it didn't make sense.

Nobody could tell me why I kept visiting the same house for over 10 years. I thought it was because I spent most of my childhood with them, like maybe be it was just a familiar place.

One afternoon that was in 2018, I decided to pray which is something I don't often do. I told God to take me to that place and he should help me fight my battles. I told him to show me what I have been missing because of my carelessness and nonchalant attitude. I prayed this prayer and that night. I was in another dream when suddenly in the dream I said let me go to that place.

I saw the passage again and this time was different, I peeped but instead of running, I walked down the passage, I saw the things they put there, nothing was amiss, it was just as I remembered it but there was something out of place, a big washing bowl turned upside down I lifted it and I saw a black soap, I began to to scrape it till it completely finished, I also saw some other things which I disposed of. Just as I was about to leave, I saw the owner of the house, my mom's friend, she was holding a basuka, the only thing I could do was run, she fired it but I was lucky to get out but the force of the gun pushed me so I was on the floor covered in dust. I left the compound for the first in over 10 years.

That was the end of those repeated dreams. I never saw that place ever again. I never dreamt of it and it's been 3 years now. . I wasn't religious and I hated going to church so there wasn't any pastor to turn to.

I realized that God was trying to tell me what the enemy had planted but I couldn't see anything for 10 years.

If you are having a dream of soldiers for over 5 years, nobody can interpret it for you. It is something you have to figure out yourself. There is a hidden message only for you and you alone. Pray to God to interpret it, let him show you what you are missing and what you don't understand about what you see. It is only then that dream will stop.

It's either they're on guard, about to go attack some set of people or doing parade. We do talk at times and I do have this little fright just as one would feel in real life. I see soldiers too often in my dreams and I seem to be somewhat worried. I've been having these dreams for close to 5 years.

I've opened about two threads on this same issue and I seem not to have solution to this soldier dreams. Even my mum is helpless.

What could this dream mean?
