I think we all have encountered angels. Most people expect to see giants, winged creatures and all that magnificence movies and stories have told us. There are many angels in human form that especially minister to us while we sleep.

I see them all the time not physically but in dreams. They pass messages, they remind you when you are going astray, they tell you things that you ordinarily won't know within your knowledge.

A recent encounter I had was one day when I got really angry and pushed someone close to me. An angel told me that night , "you made a promise". I didn't remember what it was until three days after that I had promised God not to get angry and control my temper.


I remember seeing a young man in the wee hours of the morning beside my bed. He took my phone and disconnected it. He said don't sleep with your phone charged above your head. I have a habit of falling asleep with my phone charging while pressing it, I didn't know there was anything wrong with that until then.


Then there was one time I dreamt of my mom walking on the edge of a wall on the first floor of a story. A very narrow wall and could have fallen from the first floor. An angel told me to tell her not to go that way. I remember telling him that she doesn't listen to me. She walked that path until she was at my neighbours window. I woke up and I got a call from my mom that the neighbor called her that morning and told her not to go to the church event she was planning to go because the road was really rough at that time. I told God she wouldn't listen to me and he sent someone else to tell her the same message who she would listen to.

These are just a few experiences. Angels are sent by God to protect us his creation and even unbelievers see them all the time ministering to them but they don't pay attention to what they hear.

Science has told people to disregard their dreams because it is a figment of their imagination.

First let me tell you as a Catholic..we do not worship Mary, we do not bow down to her or anyone.


Second, as a Christian your primary duty is to spread the gospel and nothing else. You are not to play juge or jury. Only God knows his true worshipers.

Go back to your history and find out why they claim the Catholic church was the first . I'm sure whoever said it gave their explanation.

For the crimes and atrocities committed in the early church, you should know it is still happening today in all churches. You can't blame the church but the people. The crimes committed where done by people and it in no way defines the church.

Finally if you don't like Catholic church, nobody is compelling you to go there. You're free to worship God anywhere, so this thread of yours is irrelevant.

You're a psychologist? Well I think I can rest now..if you work in a psychiatric hospital, I guess you still have plenty to experience. You will learn on your own.

Somehow, psychiatrists get their own experiences naturally. No need to convince you until you meet that patient that will make you question all these your ideas.

I hope you know not many people commit suicide because of some pain. That's another subject for another day.

We have many people with numerous mental illnesses and they think they are sane.

I know because I'm a psychologist. We have many who suffer from different delusions and mental disorder.

With medications, they can be well.

Belief does not necessarily mean forfeiting logic. It is basically having awareness and consciousness of something outside our reality. First, admitting and acknowledging the non-material and it's possibility on how it influences our own material existence.

The fact remains that there are questions unanswered and our presence on earth is not mere coincidence. You can not rule out the fact that the views of the popular hold some element of truth. Even though some have been known to exploit this for reasons to feel superior or gather more followership.

Even before civilization and education came to our planet, our ancestors were spiritual beings. They still are and that is why you'll see some people tell you no bullet can pierce their skin. People do animal-human transformations. There isn't any logic to these things but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

We can't explain them for sure but they are as real as the table in front of you.

Relating to the topic, I do not believe that there is no consciousness when we die. There is an alternate reality from ours, I have seen it and it felt as real as day and night.

Let me share another experience I had. I went to spend some time in my friend's house. After playing game with my phone which I normally do to tire myself to sleep. I closed my eyes and slept. Next thing I saw was the wall I was facing to sleep. My friend she was sleeping beside me. I felt a movement in the room and then looked. The person took on her resemblance and was moving about the room. First she took a belt and it hit the metal part hit the bedroom fridge and then she walked towards the bed and then spread a cloth over. It touched my leg and that was when I jumped up. I was scared. Telling myself it was only a dream and I closed my eyes again and this time she started talking to me.

She told me that someone I was dating was coming and that I shouldn't give him face, if not I'll regret it and she laughed. I got up again and woke my friend up, I told her to stop talking to me. She was deep asleep like snoring. Well she wasn't the one talking to me.
Two days after, the ex I hadn't spoken to in 2 years called that he was coming to Lagos and wanted to see me.

It wasn't a dream, I was very much awake

Like I said, I have given you my proof, I had a knowledge which nobody told me of and I have had different experiences, which makes me to believe in the after life.

The rest is up to you. You are the one looking for proof, there are many ways to go about it. You can join elon musk space program or you can ask death your question. But it is not my duty to convince you about the existence of the afterlife. I already believe it and I have my peace.

You keep talking of evidence, are you a lawyer? Well I am one and there is something called oral testimony and it is one of the most reliable ways to prove your case in court.

It gives a better understanding of the events and fills in the gaps where a document cannot do this. No responsible judge will dismiss oral testimony. So please you really have nothing to look for except you want someone to show you a magic trick.

That is just one experience. Your scepticism is because you hear people talk about these things but you haven't seen it yourself. It is human nature to doubt besides you don't know me and I don't know you.

But when not one person but several people from generations to generations speak of their experience. Then there is some element of truth. @GodWrites...you are very wrong and very very wrong. Stop saying things you don't understand and just like the rest of us, you know nothing about man's state after death. Let me share a recent experience I had.

Just last month I was dreaming like every normal dream. I was walking along somewhere obviously I don't know where but I met someone. I wasn't really looking at the person's direction, the person was on my left hand side.

He said he was dead and that he was poisoned. I recognized the voice as a classmate of mine in secondary school. When I woke up, I was curious so I searched for him. I discovered he had died two years ago. I never heard, I never reached out to my friends and nobody told me.

I then started to search for numbers eventually I got hold of his best friend. He said he had a diabetes crisis and died.

Now how do you explain that in your dimension of nothingness and atomic whatever.

Life after death is real. We are flesh and we can only explain what we see but we can't deny the existence of the supernatural just because we can't scientifically prove its existence.

Horoscope is mysticism and the bible doesn't support it. Besides its really dangerous following stuff like that. A wise person I knew told me cards or tarots can change ones destiny. So it's better not to dabble in them especially as a Christian.

The truth is get closer to God and he will always protect you. You don't need to run after pastors to get delivered. A simple prayer will do.

God reveals the plans of the enemies to his children everytime but we can only hear from him when we tune in to his voice. I have seen spiritual attacks but yours sounds more like combining two or three other people's experience to make something..

Op rest your case... you'll hardly find any ignorant person here. Most of us are open to science and innovation but you see common sense is very important here. First what is the origin of this stupid COVID 19. We all know how ebola, SAAS, Lassa fever, maleria, HIV came about. Even diseases like cancer, fibroids causes can still be traced even if we can't pinpoint the exact cause.. there is a pattern. Why has China refused to tell us the origin of this disease. Why are they locking up journalists talking about the disease, why are people disappearing from questioning the government about COVID. Why did they lie initially that hydroxychloroquine was not an approved treatment?

There have been a lot of lies surrounding this same COVID. Now on the issue of vaccines..how long does it take to create a working vaccine? Why was there no vaccine for SAAS, Ebola and etc. Scientists have been giving contradictory information about this stupid vaccine...none of them have expressedly admitted that the vaccine prevents COVID. The RNA vaccine was said to be 55% effective. Why do they have to take two doses of the vaccine? Why should people take more than one vaccine. Why do people who take the vaccine still have to wear masks and observe social distancing.

There are a lot of questions and trust me, the mark of the beast is not everyone's primary fear. Man is more deadly than disease. We all know that people bear the mind of getting rid of people. Its been said in movies countless times, wiping out humanity so resources can be enough. Do you think people can't go ahead with the plan. What if COVID was a lab produced disease, why does it bear resemblance to SAAS, why all the secrecy and lies. Until then you are free to take their vaccine. We will only keep staying safe and watch the truth unfold. Nothing stays hidden forever.

By the way have you heard of the COVID passport? Well do your research. This is all more than just a vaccine but believe what you want..its all good.

This actions help you trace the time, and era of the people that existed and their way of life. The Bible is not a story book. It is everything concerning you and I. Where we came from, who our ancestors were. It also represents the imperfect nature of man. We are not perfect and our flaws are reflected in the pages of the bible.

@Preciousgirl.... thank you for your post. I'm always happy reading your messages. I'm not a pastor and I'm not JW but a Christian and someone who thirsts for the word of God.

Those verses in my opinion are a reassurance to the children of God that if we put our faith in Christ Jesus we will be saved.

However, faith alone or believe alone is not a certain guarantee. It is also tied to a lot of responsibility.

If you read James 2:26, Here James affirms that deeds (or actions) are the byproduct of a living faith. Works do not justify us or make us righteous before God, nor are they the means to salvation. Rather, our deeds are the fruit that grows from one who is obedient to God’s commands and transformed by His grace.

So basically if you believe in Jesus Christ, you have a duty to walk in righteousness as he did on earth. We are called sons and daughters of God because we exhibit Christ-like behaviour. It is not enough alone to say I believe in Jesus Christ and then we continue in sin and expect to be saved.

So in other words...if you also try to live a sinless life and don't believe in Jesus Christ and accept the supreme nature of God, then you can not be saved.

Because Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. He is our link to God the Father. However, when we believe in him we are saved.

Yes but he also calls for fellowship..where two or more are gathered, there i will be. The church is meant for worship of God and upliftment of the body of christ. But unfortunately churches are about the pastor. Pastors make it about them and end up brainwashing members. Its just disappointing but eventually we still have to fellowship regardless.

People move by the holy spirit even when praying in their houses but some pastors see the need to fake miracles, anointings etc just for money and fame.

The Kind of worship Jesus Christ called you for is obedience of His Commandments and in none of those does He command His followers to show up in a church or anywhere to fellowship with His other servants. He, the Master, has called each of His servants to serve Him by obeying His comamndments... Any other kind of worship is worthless and has nothing to do with Him.

@op I totally agree with you... church is a modern day business. The bible even warns us of this but unfortunately...many Christians will disagree with you.

I don't believe in church but I believe in fellowship. The Bible talks about the need for gathering but also cautions us about false pastors. Jesus himself was not tied to a church but he regularly went to the temple to observe the religious culture and to preach but most of the time he was moving around.

The apostles started the church and warned even more of false pastors. It had started as early as their time. However, they gave us a way out letting us know to test the spirits and with the help of the Holy Spirit today we get that nudge in our hearts when someone isn't being genuine.

When you know this, the best this is to leave. You will still need to fellowship because you can't serve God in isolation. At least it is said where two or more are gathered in my name, there I will be. So you still have to fellowship with people hence the idea of church. But for the issue of churches springing up, it will continue to happen and more and more false pastors and teachers will spring up..in fulfilment of the word of God. All we just need is the Holy Spirit to point us in the right direction.

It means its time you find a new place of worship. When you start feeling uncomfortable in a church, its your spirit subtly telling you to leave. No pastor has to lay hands on you for you to fall... that's assault.

It's a good thing you are doubting pastors..it will help you know when you find the right place of worship. Unfortunately it's going to be a journey because many churches today are fake... but there are still genuine ones and I don't mean denomination so don't let anyone fool you.

I don't feel comfortable about many Pastors. I was in church today. Barely 30secs into worship the chorister has Started speaking in tongues then after some few seconds she was joined by other.
It was deliverance today and many people were falling and 99.9% are women and 1% men. It got to my turn, this Pastor pressed my neck and I didn't fall at all. There are many more things which I still doubt it.
The Pastor said If I didn't pay tithe God will not bless me. What is this?

Are you saying other pastor's don't get the message right or pass the word of God?

What is the purpose of your message? Is it to glorify God or man?

God can use anybody to pass the word of God, read your bible and meditate on the word of God day and night.

It is not the vessel that matters but the Word.
