Hello congrats on your PPR.
Please I would like to ask about your UK pcc; how were you able to have it sent to a UK address since you have to present a proof of living in that address cos mine is also yet to get here.
Thanks and congrats again.

Hi, I hope I'm not too late, I would appreciate your resources for IELTS writing.
Thanks
JobsInIT:
I am still in the market for a slot for medicals. Please, help out if you can.

I might as well post my temp timeline

Desire to migrate: 2012, on my first and only trip to Canada.
Decision to migrate negotiated and reached with spouse during the Eid holiday in August. This is by far the longest step. I was on this stage for over a year, if not two. cheesy
Wes request for online MSc with Uk university initiated first week of sept. The online MSc was the best advantage I have had in this process. No waec wahala, no university transcript wahala . Ordered transcript for less than 7 pounds online and the school posted it for me at no added cost.
Registered for ielts for spouse and I same week. Exam date was 29th Sept.
Wes report ready Oct 11/12. MSc equivalent.
Ielts result Oct 12. Spouse LRSW= 9,9,8.5,7.5. Mine= 9,9,8.5,7
Entered pool on Oct 13. Woke up at 5 am to start work on my profile before the children start distracting me.
ITA : Oct 15, around 9 pm.

Now the hustle for medical date begins.

My Ielts writing was not the best but I am still willing to help read and give feedback to 1-3 people interested. Pls PM me if interested.

Pls help with medical date if you can

Thanks

I have to make payment in 48hrs and remark takes about 6 weeks from all I've gathered. Also I have an Msc .
pyruvateluv:
Try the remark and also prepare for another one, you can delay in making payment for another whilst waiting for the remark. Do you have an Msc or Pgd cos your CRS seems to be good with 7 in writing?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by pejuhazel(f): 8:19am On Oct 12, 2018
My CRS score with my present IELTS score is 396 not 459. 459 is what I'll get if I had a 7 in writing.

IELTS result out: LRSW, 8.5/9/8/6, first attempt. This result dropped my CRS from 459 to 396, I don't know whether to apply for a remark or register for a new one.

Hi, please what is the best way to contact WES. They sent me an evaluation update last week and I noticed they made a mistake in my address and since that's where they are supposed to send the report to, I filled the contact form on their website but I'm yet to get a response. So please if there's any other way I can contact them to correct the error, let me know. Thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by pejuhazel(f): 1:39pm On Aug 18, 2018
My wife is the primary applicant, and she's already done her document verification with WES. Will I also need to do it? We can see on the CIC page that spouse verification is listed as mandatory rather than compulsory and while it will get us a few more points, we don't particularly need it.

Thanks taxiappguy, I would also like to know if the car qualifies for taxify?
taxiappguy:
Both platforms perform really well in Abuja. 30-35k well, if you rent out.
If you drive yourself 50-60k well, but dependent on the amount of work you put in.
Your vehicle is eligible.

Ok, thank you very much.

This is still okay. Especially since the source of money is your husband on a joint application not some third party. The LOE also got you covered. Ideally and maybe for some comfort he could submit his bank statement alongside the application but this is not necessary. Seniors can also weigh in on this...
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by pejuhazel(f): 3:20pm On Oct 08, 2017
Thanks a lot. But it's only about 60% of the money tht will be fixed, the rest will be coming from my husband. He'll pay it into my account and accompany it with an LOE. Do you think that's acceptable and will he need to submit his account statement?.
stealth02:
This should be fine. Investments are usually exempt from the 6 months holding period as mentioned on page 0 under POF. FDs and specifically TBs will usually give you a good return as the funds are held in investments
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by pejuhazel(f): 9:34am On Oct 08, 2017
Hello everyone, I first would like to say thanks to the initiators of this thread, you've been a blessing to so many. I've been silently following for a while now and now I have a question about POF.
My husband and I are planning on applying soon but the money that we're required to have in our accounts will be coming in two or three instalments. We don't want the money sitting in the account for 6 months before beginning, so we were advised to invest some of it in bonds or put it in a fixed deposit and get a certificate or a statement. While the rest of it will be in my account and will be accompanied by an LOE from my husband that he's the one providing the funds since I am the PA.
Please I would like to know if this is sound advice. We are a family of 3, myself, hubby and our 1yr old.
Thanks

Hello Pejuhazel this is a very common problem which can be solved by inserting waist and shoulder darts. Also if you watch my video on the basic bodice you will notice that I took 1/2" from the back chest to add to the front chest. I hope this has helped?
FashionRe: Sewing for beginners by pejuhazel(f): 9:09pm On Sep 08, 2017
Hello Marylandcakes, thanks for starting this, it's been very helpful. I have an issue and I would love you to help me: every time I make blouses or tops there's always excess fabric at the back. I would like to know what causes this and how to fix it. I don't think it's a zip allowance issue because it happens even in blouses that don't have zips.
Thanks in advance.

Hello, you could have people pay to just one person in each compound, and you get the money from said person.
You could also provide an account number for people to pay into before you come around.
Hope it helps.

Please does anyone know where I can get good planting soil, I live in Aguda, Lagos. Thanks
AgricultureRe: Need Info On Small Scale Tomato Farming by pejuhazel(op): 9:29am On Dec 01, 2016
Thanks a lot, following your own post
Following:
plant btw 3-5 seeds and when they have grown for upto 2 weeks,u pinch off the rest and let the most healthy one remain, you may pour hot water on the soil or heat it directly to kill most soil borne pathogen and reduce risk of infection. the type of tomato you plant will determine the method of staking/trellising you apply
AgricultureRe: Need Info On Small Scale Tomato Farming by pejuhazel(op): 8:41pm On Nov 30, 2016
I don't think I'll be fermenting my seed cos I read its a very smelly process, maybe I can try it later. How many seed should I plant in a pot and will I need to get fertilizer as it grows?. Thanks
Rubyintegrated:
You can buy the biggest flower pot or use a cement bag as well. You may skip the wire mesh and pebbles if you can make sure that water is properly drained.

about the seeds, I have never soak mine in water. but you could try and tell us the result.... We are always learning.
AgricultureRe: Need Info On Small Scale Tomato Farming by pejuhazel(op): 4:18pm On Nov 30, 2016
For the seeds, do I just dry them without any prior preparations cos I read somewhere that I need to ferment them first.
Rubyintegrated:
Hello Pejuhazel,

I am not in Lagos but I hope to be as helpful as possible. So let's start with the basics:

1. Sun exposure on your balcony: Does your balcony receive a good sun exposure (5-8hrs per day)? if yes, you can proceed with your plan. If no, please do not bother as it will be a wasteful effort. Ideally, tomatoes should get full sun for 8 hours per day. They will still grow with less sun, but the shadier the conditions, the longer it takes for the fruit to ripen.

2. Container selection: Keep in mind that the more root space the plant has, the better the roots will grow. This will allow the top part of the plant to grow large. Tomatoes can grow to over 6-8 feet tall and 2 feet across, a half barrel sized pot (those sold for N800 here in Abuja) is just enough to accommodate the roots for that size plant. Small pots do make smaller plants but that also means a lot less fruit and many of the problems mentioned above.

3. Soil: You can get your top soil and manure from any gardener around your area. A cement bag full of top soil sells for N500 in Abuja while that of manure goes for N600. the darker the top soil, the better. You can the mix the two. 2 parts of top soil and 1 part of manure for starter.

4. Filling the container: while filling the container, remember that good drainage and healthy roots go together. So be fore add the mixture of top soil and manure, please layer a piece of wire mesh cut to size at the bottom of the pot. Then add some pebbles before adding the top soil/manure mixture.

5. Tomato seeds: You can easy buy seeds which are readily available in any agric shop around your area, but I would recommend that you pick/buy a couple of really ripe and beautiful tomatoes either in house or at the veg store, remove the seeds and dry them for a couple of days and plant them in a small container for onward transfer to the prep pot(s).

I will stop for now. Have to attend to business.....

I will continue when you are done with these and is ready to move on....
