Ofumin:Is this brand of politics not stupid? That Yorubas will deny their sons because of politics? |
Jimi’s profile Looking at this profile below, you’d see that Jimi is a full fledged Omoluabi and a true Lagosian but they still tagged him Igbo. Why? How?
|
One of the reasons that APC and Tinubu supporters proffered for the reason they associated Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, candidate of the Labour Party in the just concluded general elections, with Igbos is because they said they dug up his old tweets where he had spoken in favour of IPOB and also that in 2019, he campaigned for senate with Chinedu as his name. Again, they accuse him of being a tainted blood since his mother is Igbo, and he too married an Igbo woman. But Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has shared a throwback picture of where APC supporters printed a banner and renamed Mr Jimi Agbaje who was the guber candidate of the PDP in 2015 and 2019 elections in Lagos, as Jimi Chukwuemeka Agbaje Chinyere. One now wonders why Jimi Agbaje was also associated with Igbos. Did he too ever supported IPOB? Is his mother Igbo? Is his wife Igbo? The answer to this questions are NO. Jimi Agbaje was born in Lagos in 1957 to Chief Julius Kosebinu and Mrs Margaret Olabisi (both Yoruba). He’s married to Mrs Abiola Agbaje (a Yoruba). So, where did his association with Igbos come from? This goes to prove only one thing - that APC and Sanwolu supporters lied. Their attack on GRV was not because he’s not Yoruba enough or because he spoke in IPOB favour before but because that’s their usual campaign gimmick. To exploit ethnicity and use it to deceive the feeble minded Yorubas. It has never been about capacity or anything, it has always been about tribalism for them.

What is surprising to me is why Ronu people have not started attacking him like they attacked Madam Ngozi. The world knows that Tinubu didn’t win the election, that he’s a mandate thief. Add that to the fact that he’s a drug lord that is full of criminal past. |
senatordave1:That’s what I’m telling you. He lost heavily but got INEC to announce him through whatever magic. You should know me by now that I don’t dispute what is right or true. If Umahi had won, I won’t be here saying he didn’t win. If Nwifuru hadn’t won, I won’t be here defending his victory because it’s our turn, no, reason, logic and facts guide my stance at each point in time. Meanwhile, I think it’s time you stop talking to me on Nairaland since you accused me of making childish submissions because I disagreed with your stance. |
senatordave1:Umahi rigged Ohaozara and Ivo. How can he lose his polling unit and win elsewhere? |
Fulani apologists in the mud again. All it would take is for the Catholic bishop of Makurdi Diocese to call Alia and tell him not to try repealing the law and that’s it. I’m sure some idiots were rejoicing that Alia is coming to Benue to implement the agenda of Fulani people. Benue Shall Be Free!!! |
dokyOloye:I hate it when people don’t differentiate facts…. The governorship election happened on a different day from the presidential election. On the day of presidential election, Ebonyi people voted LP from top to bottom without minding if a goat is the candidate. In Ebonyi North Senatorial District for instance, I prefer the Onyekachi Nwebonyi of APC that is currently there but he didn’t win. That’s the truth. Two weeks later, the governorship election took place. By then, all the people of Izzi were severely conscientized with to vote Nwifuru so that the governorship can come to us. So you had Ebonyi, Izzi and Abakaliki LGAs voting for Nwifuru. The other LGA in Ebonyi North (where Nwifuru is from) is Ohaukwu. And if you know the relationship between Izzi and Ngbo people, you would know that Ngbo people will never vote against the interest of Izzi people. So he won in Ohaukwu. Now, Nwifuru’s wife is from Ikwo LGA plus Chinedu Ogar who also supported Nwifuru, that’s how he got considerable votes from Ikwo LGA. Down south, the stakeholders of Ebonyi from southern Ebonyi, across party line, endorsed Nwifuru. They had to keep their acrimony with Umahi aside to do this. Add that to the fact that Nwifuru’s deputy is Afikpo. That’s how Nwifuru had unified support from Afikpo, Isiagu, Ivo, Umahi’s Ohaozara, etc. That was how Nwifuru won the election. Can you tell me how the candidate you think won, won? |
senatordave1:Yeah! PDP will lose the seat just like APC will lose all 3 senatorial seats in Ebonyi. They will lose Nasarawa and Ogun too. I was flabbergasted the day I found out that APC didn’t even come second in Akwa Ibom. That if court sacks Umo Eno, then Senator Bassey is the next governor. Wow! |
Again I ask, where are the Putin supporters who said Ukraine would be decimated in 72hours last year? Where are the morally deficient characters who like supporting the aggressor who is bullying the weak? Putin gloried in his infamy in Ukraine and were cheering him on. Now he seems to be on the way to his waterloo. Even if he survives this, things will not remain the same again. And just like Putin is currently facing his own disgrace, so shall Tinubu face his own. It’s a matter of time. |
Likoya:No one knows anything for sure right now. Russia could be playing games. It’s also possible that Putin is actually in soup. So don’t act like you sit in Kremlin cabinet. |
Aquila99:So you don’t know they are being funded by the West now? The way una dey reason sometimes can be very funny. |
Wow! Where are those who said it’s been lies all along? This still looking like a lie still? Putin is going going. The way Tinubu will go. Death to all aggressors! |
Jakumo:Lol! Such a stupid coward. Idiot thinks we are in Dark Ages where he can just wake up and invade weaker neighbors without consequences. He needs to be used as an example. |
BscHolder:You have a huge point. You know anything is possible in war. Maybe the sanctions started getting to him coupled with emerging frictions with Putin and he decided to switch loyalty to the West in exchange for his freedom and return of his assets if he succeeds in overthrowing Putin. Nothing is guaranteed yet. But one thing is certain, Ukrainians are gonna sleep well for the next few days as Russia concentrates in sorting her domestic issues out. Putin should never have invaded Ukraine; in the 21st century of all ages. |
seunmsg:If anything happens to Russia, Putin brought it upon her. And trust me, just like Libya, Syria and Afghanistan is in ruins and the world is moving on, that’s how the world will keep moving on even if it’s only ashes that are left in Russia. My grouse is with Putin. And I want Putin so punished so that no other leader anywhere will ever dare do what Putin did. I know Xi Jinping has been hovering around Taiwan wanting to do to her what Putin is doing to Ukraine but I’m sure he will be using his tongue to count his teeth right now. As for the nukes, I’ve told you there’s nothing to worry about that. Prigozhin is not an expansionist like Putin, so, I don’t see him using the nukes. Dude just wants to get his head off Western sanctions. And if he’s loyal to the West, or friend of the West, he would respect treaties on nuclear weapons. |
Everything changed the day Peter Obi entered the ring. Now we are all politicians. Now we are all INEC officials. Now we are all lawyers. No Nigerian has ever had such influence on Nigerians. The man they wanna be like.
|
seunmsg:Tor! I wonder why you chose Onitsha and not Ogbomoso as the place the nuke will land. Meanwhile, information is that the CIA is supplying the Wagner guys with the logistics they need while the Russian people seem to be happy with them. Now, you think if Prigozhin captures Russian nukes, he would deploy it against western allies who are his friends? He would rather nuke Syria. And China knows better than to get involved. They have seen how the West stretched Russia until she got to this breaking point before turning on Putin from the inside. If they get involved, it would be declaration of a full blown war. And trust me, the West can defeat Russia and China together. |
helinues:No. But he’s in bed with the Arabs in trying to make America and the West fall. He’s a friend of the Arabs. Or are you denying him now? |
helinues:Why do all Arab apologists support the aggressor against the victim? |
seunmsg:I know you Putin supporters are in pains. You said last year that Kyiv would fall within 73hours. But see now that it is Putin that is about to fall. Putin thought himself mighty and with structure, and that he can deal with Ukraine without consequences. But look at him now. That’s how Tinubu will flee when his turn reaches. |
ottersberger:Don’t mind them! Shebi INEC is opening their defence on Monday, let’s wait and see them defend the sham they conducted. |
helinues:What we are saying is that instead of going to France to take pictures while wasting our scarce resources, he should have stayed in Aso Rock and wait for when the courts will sack him and return the mandate to the rightful owner. |
helinues:You saw those other world leaders joining panels to join in discussions. Show me where Tinubu did the same. |
Etfash:I like people like you who reason objectively. So, you see that you can’t blame Ukraine for trying to apply to NATO membership. NATO didn’t invite Ukraine, it was Ukraine that felt that since Russia no longer respected her territorial integrity, she had no option than to seek alliances that would help defend them from further Russian aggression. Now, we would want to see things from Russian perspective that her invasion of Ukraine was her way of staving off Ukraine from inviting Russia’s enemy into Russia’s backyard. But was that the only way? My problem here is that Putin threw away all conventions which grants Ukraine autonomy and sovereignty, and invaded her. If Putin is not stopped, more war-monger heads of state will be emboldened to do what Putin is doing to Ukraine to their weaker neighbor. |
joyandfaith:Exactly! And some of these assets have been frozen by the West. Which is bad business for them. The rich see the world as their playground. But Putin’s actions is trying to restrict rich Russians within the Russian territory. I’m sure they don’t want that. |
helinues:Yeah! We shouldn’t talk about Tinubu spending taxpayers money to go to France and take pictures?
|
joyandfaith:Not all of Russian Oligarchs are in support of Putin’s actions so far. They may not have told him because of fear of persecution but it’s a given that some of those oligarchs are loyalists of the West. |
Etfash:Russia was also defending itself when it annexed Crimea in 2014? |
Wellliving:It is said that an Airforce warplane has been deployed to Moscow in preparation for the arrival of the Wagner group. |
