LegendHero:From your own evidence, it shows that the Ministry of Housing is 11th on the ranking while the Secretary of State is 2nd. Does that not justify my earlier assertion that a Deputy Secretary of State ranks higher than a Minister of Housing? |
LegendHero:Obama sent Assistant Secretary of State. How do you compare that to the Minister of Housing? Read it again, “housing”. |
observanc1:Very bad! When Nigeria should be causing the world to shiver if it sneezes but look at us. Our Electoral Body announced a drug lord, why would they still take us serious?🤦 |
BRIMBRAM:Before you talk of 4 years, are you sure Tinubu will be sworn in? |
US President earlier today announced the US delegation that will be attending Tinubu’s inauguration on Monday. But what has caught the attention of many Nigerians is that the delegation will be led the US Minister for Housing, housing of all ministries. What relevance has the ministry of housing to US international relations? If Biden won’t come, why not Kamela Harris? If not them, then why not the Secretary of State? If not the Secretary of State, why not Deputy Secretary of State? Why not Minister of Foreign Affairs? Why Minister of Housing? Is that not disrespectful to Nigeria? A country that is the supposed Giant of Africa. The leader of the African Continent. I understand that Tinubu boys are looking for validation so much more that they would still have rejoiced if US had sent a delegation led by a Local Government Chairman but isn’t this a tacit message of the degree of value that the US places on ‘mandate’ Tinubu claims to have?

engineerboat:Lol! Somebody made a point… Why did SC reserve judgment if they don’t intend to do something funny? Why did they not throw the case out immediately if they felt it had no merit? Like I said, I’m not saying I’m sure of anything but Tinubu and his men have valid reasons to be jittery. |
Ratello:Thank you! I’ll take my time to go through the thread. |
descarado:🤝🤝🤝 |
Good one! If the Tribunal gives judgment in August, then the Supreme will have until October ending to rule on their own case. The implication is that if Tinubu gets sworn in, he will only be president until October of 2023. He will be the shortest serving president in Nigeria, Africa and the World. |
Tor! He went to commission Dangote Refinery but is either too big to go to Southeast or too afraid to go. What’s that poor asphalting I’m seeing? Or are they commissioning incomplete project like they commissioned Dangote Refinery that will not be ready until first quarter of 2024. |
Lol! They’ve come to tell him that he will be sacked on Friday. That he has the option to get a soft landing by quietly leaving Nigeria. Or stay and face disgrace by being arrested and thrown to jail like a common criminal he is. Tinubu will soon find out that Nigeria is bigger than what one man can dare to kidnap. |
garfield1:Exactly my point too. Why did the SC fix judgment on Friday that is weekend and very close to inauguration? Again, since I came to know you, this is the first time you are scared for Tinubu and APC. Other times you have always been sure Tinubu conquering. Why not ask yourself why you are scared? What if it’s an omen? See, I’m not saying I’m sure of anything but the forces against Tinubu can use that judgment. You know the way Tinubu has gone about his quest for power is so wrong. He thinks he can bulldoze his way to power without considering a lot of tendencies in this country. Fingers crossed sha! But this is not looking good. |

Agbado Police Commissioner has been commissioned to write CORN-filled police report against Ladi Adebutu, the authentic winner of the Ogun State governorship election just so that his case at the Tribunal can be frustrated. Ogun people didn’t vote for Dapo Dagboru. He should do and vacate Ladi’s seat for him. |
garfield1:Lol! Don’t give yourself false hope😎 |
Who are the opportunists?😏😏😏 If you fight grace, you face disgrace.
|
garfield1:Lol! I already gave IBB’s submission and you are still asking who he’s supporting? And it’s funny how you ruled out Aliyu Gusau as not being a factor but counted Eunice Kalu as a factor. Eunice Kalu that was merely IBB side chick is more of a factor in Nigeria than General Aliyu Gusau? And you really think the Kaduna Mafia or the Sultan chose Tinubu over Atiku? Again, no one can say where the US or the UK stood but I would take a bet that they weren’t with Tinubu. |
fergie001:Exactly my point. How did the case get to Supreme Court already? And why did the Supreme Court fix May 26th for Judgment and not 30th or 31st? Remember that May 26th is Friday while May 29th is Monday. The implication is that if the Supreme Court sacks Tinubu on Friday, there will be no time for any entity to approach the Supreme Court requesting for interpretation and for a stay of execution of the judgment whilst the interpretation lasts before Monday morning when Tinubu is supposed to be sworn in. Like I said, I am not expecting the Supreme Court to sack Tinubu but what if…. |
clarocuzioo:Oh! I suppose he’s more visible in upstream sector of the oil industry. |
fergie001:They did then because there was a president Buhari who is still in power. But by May 26th, Buhari would be merely 48hrs away from power. Again, I’m sure they feared Tinubu might win the election fair and square with no troubles around his election. But seeing that Buhari is on his way out (48 hours is not enough to witch-hunt judges), and seeing that INEC fraudulently declared Tinubu, the judges might want to judicial activists and save Nigeria from a Tinubu disaster. The next most likely persons to benefit from that judgment would be either Atiku or Obi. Now, why would they fear harassment from Obi or Atiku? |
fergie001:You know I was reflecting on this with someone last night and I did reflect on if the judges would have the balls. But then I realized that once they sack Tinubu, that would be the end of it. There will never be a President Tinubu who would want to witch-hunt them for passing such judgment because they already consigned him to the dustbin. The judges have absolutely nothing to fear. If anything, they know that they would be worshipped as heroes except they are not living in the same Nigeria with us. |
garfield1:Obasanjo doesn’t want Tinubu. He even openly endorsed Obi. TY Danjuma doesn’t want Tinubu. He co-signed the press statement of Northern Christian Elders in support of Obi. Aliyu Gusau was one of the Chief strategists of Atiku. IBB stated openly in a 2021 interview that Nigeria’s next president should be in his 60s; that already envisaged one. Tinubu is above 70. Who then is Tinubu close to? |
iammo:More… I want to emphatically state to you that only an indigene of a country can possess the country’s passport. If Mandela and his co anti-apartheid elements had Nigeria’s Diplomatic Passport, then it simply means Nigeria conferred them with citizenship; which is why Mandiba remained ever grateful to Nigeria until his death. Stop trying to enforce falsehood as truth. You are not dealing with kindergartens in Ogbomoso.
|
iammo:That Business Day report was written by an Agbado lawyer who wanted to just find a way to exonerate Tinubu. That’s why no other reputable news platform could publish the nonsense he wrote because they know it’s falsehood. Stop listening to, or taking such, characters as authority. They will only end up leading you into ignorance. Find below, the take of different reputable platforms on what Diplomatic Passport means; from CNN to Wikipedia, etc.

What is the name of the company of this una “oyel mogul”?🤔 Person just dey hear oyel mogul but we’ve never heard the name of his company. |
Maize247:🤣🤣🤣 How much more petty can you people go? Una wan begin attack Obi’s clothes now? Continue I won’t be surprised if this post makes it to front page. Lol |
garfield1:Oh! You have finally accepted Obi built roads but the quality was not quality enough? Ngige was good and Anambra people applauded him and even started pressuring Obi to withdraw his case from court since Ngige was already doing well. But when Obi when eventually enthroned by the court, Anambra people now realized that even though Ngige was on the right path, Obi was miles ahead. I asked you, do you see Anambra people as fools who would worship Obi if he wasn’t worth the hype? |
lhordspy:Lol! The pain must be severe. Thank God it was not the Obi of Onitsha that said this. Or even the Oba of Benin. But your almighty Ooni of Ife. While you are on Nairaland denigrating Obi, men who matter, men of substance, including your fathers, are worshiping Obi. Dey play! |
PROUDIGBO:It’s almost impossible for Otti to fail in Abia. It’s like being afraid that Seun of Nairaland might not be able to manage a blog if you open it and appoint him the head. When people have succeeded in other areas of life, it’s always noticed in other things they touch. I’m not God but I think Abia has been liberated. And for once, they’ve gotten it right. That’s why thunder will fire the Kano judge and his kangaroo judgment. |
iammo:Stop trying to cloak crime in ambiguities. Diplomatic Passports are given by countries to citizens who have been appointed to privileged diplomatic positions. To have a diplomatic passport of any nation, you must first acquire the citizenship of that nation. What this means is that Dieziani and co, who have diplomatic passports of Dominican Republic, are citizens of Dominican Republic. Being in possession of the passport of a country that you are not a citizen of is an international criminal offense. Or can you remind me why Sunday Igboho was arrested in Benin Republic again? |
maasoap:And in your books, a billionaire’s life is worth more than the life of the poor farmer that is helplessly maimed by Fulani Herdsmen in Benue or Plateau? |
seanfer:Where is Obi’s honorary passport as honorary citizen of Dallas, since you want to liken the two instances? |
