Darren95: I am from Rivers state and I can tell you that I do not belong to any political party. You can see me hail a party member today and see me castigate him tomorrow if I feel his is not delivering good leadership, justice and development to its people.
2023 Presidential election I can assure you that majority of Rivers people will consider:
1. Region (North or South)
2. Capacity ( Ability to deliver)
1. Region: If anybody tells you that Rivers people will vote for a northerner then just know you are being deceived. Let me tell you, Gov. Wike knows this that is why he is fighting Atiku with boldness! What will Gov Nyesom Wike tell we Rivers People to vote for another Fulani man after Buhari? Na madness??
2. Capacity: Base on the above, in terms of capacity, the two major presidential candidates from the South is Tinubu and Peter Obi. The truth is that Rivers people would have love to vote for the Igbos base on the fact that they have not ruled, but we can’t trade capacity to deliver with it is my turn.
Looking at the candidate, Tinubu has more experience and has technocrats around him to deliver better than Peter Obi including judging from their past records as Governors.
Some may want to discredit Tinubu by judging him with age, religion and health status, the truth is that if Tinubu can read clearly, campaign across the 36 states without any health challenge then he can rule Nigeria.
Religion: Past history have not shown any benefits on the state of the country. Things keeps getting worst so let’s try this same religion and I can tell you it will reduce religious bigots and unite Nigerians irrespective of religion or region. These religions were imported, our root unites the black people more as one united people of Africa.
Tinubu will deliver more than Peter Obi
Let’s we Southern Nigeria don’t make the mistake the North made with Buhari.
Yoruba are in full support for restructuring/regional government and let’s support their son who understands the game, the system and experience to bring constitutional amendments and development to Southern Nigeria, the industrial hub of the nation.
Peter Obi na learner, them fit even impeach am, na Jonathan pro max.
But Tinubu na Don 1. Southerners na this kind man we need this time to represent us, we mistake for Jonathan way too cool and you want us to send another small pikin Peter Obi?
Come southerners are one, stop this it’s south east or this turn??!! If it’s south east turn why is it not we Ikwerre people of rivers state turn? We are ijaws (Goodluck Jonathan)? So forget about it is my turn.
Southern Nigeria is one!!!
Tinubu supporter come out with your full chest and stop claiming apolitical.
So Rivers, a predominantly Christian state, will overlook Tinubu’s Muslim-Muslim ticket to vote for him?
So Rivers, a south Southsouth state, will overlook Tinubu’s treachery against the south in 2015 which led to Jonathan’s loss of power, and thereby making Southsouth to lose power, to vote for him?
These APC BATstards are this same everywhere. Both those occupying political offices and those eating Agbado and Cassava under Lagos bridges.
Sir, where is Tinubu expecting his votes?
This is northerners reacting to Tinubu’s rumored meeting with Wike on BBC Hausa. All of them supporting Atiku which shows that Atiku is winning the North. Where else is left for Tinubu?
Jondelng: Tinubu shaa, everyday... Have u ever heard of free publicity? Everyday, you guys are giving him too much attention, which will make him win.
At the end of the day, politics is a game, with only one winner.
I recently learnt shettima is Hausa, while all the previous northern presidents have been Fulani. So automatically, the Hausa's will favor shettima.
Anyways, I also learnt Nigeria is a game of numbers, I.e population and money, none of which is Obi's favour.
So if you really like Obi and you want him to win, first shed all the tribal shenenigans, second gather money to share, especially up north. Finally focus on your candidate and sell him.... Unless, all the obidients movement is an activity in futility.
Eyaaa!
Lemme give you some free lecture…
First of all, Shettima is Kanuri and not Hausa.
Kanuri is one of the minor ethnic groups in Nigeria and they are found only in Borno and some parts of Yobe.
What this means is that Peter Obi, an Igbo man, a tribe that occupies 7 states, stands a far higher chance than your Shettima.
Secondly, Kwankwaso is Hausa. So, if Hausas are desirous of the presidency, they will rather vote for Kwankwaso who would be president if he wins and not Shettima who will be a mere spare tyre to Tinubu.
Then lastly, and most importantly, the core northerners, Fulanis and Hausas alike, are queuing behind Atiku. Tinubu is not even a factor at all.
Read through these comments of northerners on BBC Hausa where they were reacting to Tinubu’s meeting with Wike.
I expect Tinubu BATstards to say Obasanjo has lost relevance again
The fools are in pain
see Atikulators and BATstards crying above grin
Una never see anything yet una dey cry, make una save una tears because what is coming go make una wail and cry blood.
Ndi ala!
As as OBJ, Wike and his men are boldly taking photographs with Obi and the photographs were allowed to be released to tell Nigerians and the world where they stand.
But despite all rumors we heard of Wike meeting with Tinubu, we no even see one single picture even if it’s black and white

Message to doubting Thomases, prepare for Obi’s presidency.
A Twitter user Omotayo Williams @KadunaResident has published a document that bears the name “Momodu Tinubu” with the date of birth being October 31, 1934.
With controversy having always surrounded Tinubu’s true origin and real name, the Twitter user is suggesting that the said “Momodu Tinubu” is the same as the Ahmed Tinubu that we know today.
The document was submitted to Lagos State House of Assembly announcing his appointment as an Auditor for the State.
XerXers: Gwari is a predominantly Christian tribe found in Kaduna, Niger, Abuja and Nassarawa. Debora Samuel who was stoned in Sokoto is Gwari tribe. They see Hausa Fulani as oppressors
I’ve said many times that Tinubu is not expecting to win the presidency through votes if not, he would have noticed that he is going nowhere and halt campaigns.
And it is usually ironic when his supporters dismiss sampled opinions either through traditional, electronic or social media. One now wonders how they gauge opinions to arrive at the supposed ‘popularity’ of Tinubu.
As always, I visited BBC Hausa Facebook page, the largest forum to gauge the temperature of northerners on social media, and I stumbled on one topic that had to do with Tinubu. The report was about Tinubu’s meeting with Wike in London/Paris (venue has been changing depending on who is reporting it).
From what I saw, Arewa, or (core) Northerners are mostly for Atiku with lesser proportion for Kwankwaso.
No one talks about Tinubu. Tinubu is like Haram to them. They are so furious at Wike for fighting Atiku and now trying to support Tinubu.
As usual, Tinubu supporters will dismiss this and claim that it has no bearing on how voters will actually vote, but I want to ask them, where then is Tinubu popular?
Tinubu is not popular on Twitter.
Tinubu is not popular on Instagram.
Tinubu is not popular on TikTok.
Tinubu is not popular on Facebook.
Tinubu is not popular in the streets.
Where is Tinubu popular? Where is he expecting his votes?
One last thing… the northerners are already scared that Muslims will split their votes between Atiku and Kwankwaso while Christians and the people they called “gwari”(somebody translate) will vote one way for Peter Obi which they fear will give Peter Obi victory. These northerners see and understand everything but Tinubu supporters are living in denial.
Please, where is Tinubu expecting his votes?
Note: These people always write in Hausa. I always translate to English using Facebook translator option.
fergie001: I have only voted once in 2011 (only Presidency) and unless INEC gives me my PVC before February, same scenario.
I don't campaign for or against, because in my the LGA I will likely votr, he has a formidable presence there already. I wouldn't dislike the man (who would?) but feel that more work needs to be done from next month, otherwise the status quo will remain.
fergie001: Maybe that's why you said I was switching to a Candidate.
That's what I think, it's not a best-case scenario, we know who is likely better but election is reality. My younger bro & sis handle cells in Ebute-Metta & Ojo areas for Obi but I am saying what I tell them, but I encourage them.
There is the consciousness but to beat a behemoth like the APC & PDP, more than an online presence is needed. That's where the real work is.
Lol!
But do you know that all these things lies only in the mind?
If you and others like you decide today that Peter Obi can actually defeat these behemoths and join the ranks of Obidients, they will further be depleted and starved of supporters and eventually be defeated.
garfield1: It really took you a long time to figure him out.but he hides his political affiliation very well
Yes, he does. I had to put pieces of comments together to figure him out.
I must say it’s surprising he took such stance but I wanna believe he’s deeper into politics than just an analyst from the outside. At that level, interest rule their choices and I totally understand.
fergie001: Very Very funny..... Because I told you that Ikonne is the man to beat? You wouldn't expect me to lie. I am not a PDP member, I support individuals not Party.
I have never campaigned or been in forefront for any Candidate at least online. I benefit directly today from the APC than any other Party, so am I not expected to support them, but you don't see me doing that.
I won't start now and I am entitled to my choice.
No.
My statement was not because of what you said about Ikonne. You don’t know I follow your activities and comments here on Nairaland when I can.
Over the time, I’ve put pieces of your comments together to decipher your stand.
But like I said, it’s all love and light. Goodluck with your choice and stance.
fergie001: Where in Abia Central? Tell me. Where does Otti vote? Where did he vote in 2019? Please call people back home and verify. He went to School and was raised in Isiala-Ngwa doesn't mean he is Ngwa.
Prior to the 2015 election, he moved his PDP membership from Ward 3 in Arochukwu to Ehi Na Uguru Ward 5 in Isiala-Ngwa South LGA. It looks likely his mum is Ngwa, but his dad hails from Atani in Arochukwu.
Below is his PDP membership card as at 2014.
Who is your Candidate for Abia Governorship in 2023?
Only if his BATstards weren’t too foolish and idiotic to realize that they are on a futile journey, they would have halted all their ignominious misadventures.
ismoney: In the forthcoming 2023 Presidential Election, Peter Obi will conquer a lot of States as follows:
All of South East - five States.
All of South South- Six States.
In the South West- Four States.
In the North Central- Four States.
This is total of 19 States.
Peter Obi will win the Federal Capital Territory.
In the North West, Peter Obi will win at least 20% to 30% of the entire vote.
In the North East, he will win at least 30% of the entire vote.
God bless Nigeria.
I disagree with Southwest projection.
Peter Obi is popular in the Southwest but I don’t think he will win any Southwest state. Maybe he can win Lagos sha. But he would score about 40% of votes in all states of the Southwest.
Then in Northeast, Peter Obi will win Taraba and perform well in Adamawa.
Right now, Peter Obi stands the best chance of winning the election.
GoooodHardDick: This is exactly Why Nigeria needs peter Obi!
Nigerians wake up! We may never see a candidate like Obi again. This is the best Chance we have now to remove these ancestors and get Nigeria working again!!!
Together we can get it right this time around. Let's not miss this opportunity. Let's Vote massively for Vote labour party, vote for peter Obi
A Pastor that used 100 Million Tithes and Offering money to buy Zero votes at APC Convention. Even vote of thanks, he didn't get, yet religious slaves still go to his business centre which he calls Church.
Here is how Emilokan and Obituary want to tackle corruption.
