Christianity Etc › Re: Suspension: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Nephew Breaks Silence. (Pictures) by Penguin2(op): 10:14am On Aug 21, 2022
Me to the foolish nephew: Next time, you be less idiotic son.

What justification had he in relating with Tinubu? What justification really?

Tinubu just relegated the entire Christendom in Nigeria by saying there’s no Christian qualified enough to be his running mate, and you, a pastor who is supposed to protect the kingdom of God in Nigeria, is hobnobbing with such character.

I would really have loved this idiot to tell us his motivation and what he thinks justifies his action and not this rhetorics filled with silly emojis.

Stupid BAStstard!

Few days back, news made round that Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy suspended his nephew who is a pastor in his church for associating with Tinubu.

Well, the nephew has finally reacted to the suspension.

You hit it there. Honestly it is obvious they have given up on the election already.
Obi is the only Candidate with a secured region. South/South and South East is locked for him.
NC. Benue, FCT, Nasarawa , is for him.
NE. Taraba State is rooting for him.
He is sure of getting 40% votes in the West.
Kaduna and Katsina will definitely give him 30- 40% votes .
Honestly, it is looking incredible well for Obi Victory.

They know it, that's why they are playing the ethnic cards to discredit it.
Exactly!

They know Obi’s popularity is growing and they think they only way to attack it is to whip up old sentiments which seems not to be working, unfortunately.

I was speaking with our security guy at work who is from Southern Kaduna, and he told me that his entire area is chanting Obi. I’m not telling you what I saw online, I’m giving you first hand information from a northerner.

So, relax.

I have no doubt that Oyo will give Obi the needed 25% of it's votes.. Plus Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti.. That 4/6..
SE 5, SS 6, NC 4, NE 2, NW 1..
You just saw Obi defeat Tinubu in Ibadan in an opinion poll and you are still talking about 25%.

25% na yesterday talk na.

But isn’t it intriguing that while Obi is going neck to neck with Tinubu in his supposed stronghold and also pulling considerable weight in the north, none of the two men is sure of 10% votes in Obi’s stronghold.

Interesting days ahead.

Well, seems the disdain his people harbour for him has not waned at all as some youths were seen washing and sweeping the streets of Jada after Atiku’s rally in the town.

I am from Anambra State and I have listened to Peter's Obi interviews. By the way, you are not doing me any favour by engaging me. I am just asking vital questions about the people who aspire to be next president and it is my right as a Nigerian to do so.
You are not from Anambra State.

Nobody from Anambra state will ask the questions you are asking.

Nigeria's problem is leadership but any intending president need to show clear solutions to critical problems. So far, it has been all noise, empty media interviews, meetings and tours.
Are you sure you have not heard Obi say this or you are pretending not to have heard him?

I’m engaging you because you are sounding civil and open minded.

So try to follow up on Obi’s interviews more, juxtapose it with his achievements as Anambra governor, and you will get a clear picture of what Obi presidency will look like.

You answer sounds too simplistic for someone who is running to preside over Nigeria with its complexities, complications and cracks.
I can assure you, just like Peter Obi has always said, that the solution to Nigeria’s complex problems is actually simple.

Leadership!

Get leadership right and every other thing will fall in line.

Give every region of this country a sense of belonging and all agitations will disappear. Very simple.

Appoint the right and capable people to positions, and not those whose only qualification is because they are cronies and tribesmen, and you see every sector will start to function optimally. Another simple thing.

Introduce technology and e-payment for every revenue generating agency in Nigeria and criminalize cash payment/receipt and you corruption almost vanish. Equally simple.

Award contracts and see to it being executed and you see contracts being delivered. Simple.

Get govt priorities right and prioritize power, education and infrastructure over vehicles for Niger Republic, Obsession with Grazing Route, building of Railway to Niger Republic, etc, and you see things take shape. Simple as ABC.

Niggur, Nigeria’s problem is leadership.

Politics › Re: Fomerr Director Of SEC , Arunma Oteh Endorsed Peter Obi. by Penguin2: 8:22pm On Aug 17, 2022
festacman:
Peter Obi should lead the way by presenting practical roadmap to a new Nigeria. So far, apart from the youth support and his impressive theoritical analysis of the problems, he hasn't offered practical solution ideas for solving specific problems. What practical policy and program ideas that are different from the status quo does he have to move Nigeria from consumption to production?

For example, he said he will turn the arable lands in Northern Nigeria to produce crops and replace oil revenue but he hasn't said the practical steps he will take in achieving this. He hasn't said how he will overcome likely challenges like the power of state governors vis-a-vis land use law.

We need practical ideas for specific problems as a move-away from status quo of generic manifestoes. Some people will say that campaign hasn't started but these presidential candidates hold meetings. So, the law doesn't stop any candidate from dropping practical solution ideas give Nigerians true hope.
What other practical solution do you want him to give than what he has already done in Anambra.

In education, Anambra was 26th when he came; by the time he left, they were number one. Isn’t that a practical demonstration?

In leadership, Anambra used to have governors installed by godfathers. That nonsense ended with Obi who raised the bar of leadership in the state. Now Anambra people don’t settle for less when it comes to leadership recruitment.

In security, before Obi, Upper Iweka was the deadliest area in Nigeria but all that ended with Obi.

In health, Obi built the Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital in Nnewi from scratch to finish.

In infrastructure, Obi tarred almost all the roads in Anambra; both rural and Urban.

I can go on and on.

What more practical demonstration do you need sir?

Romance › Re: I Slept With My Ex And I Think My Husband Knows by Penguin2: 4:43pm On Aug 17, 2022
daylay7:
I was in love with this guy so much that we do everything together. Aside from the fact that we share the same goals, religion put us far from each other. He was a muslim and I, a christian. I loss my virginity to him (we were both naive in that practice anyway). My parents forbid me and we drifted apart but I loved him still.

I met another guy afterward who shares the same belief with me and we got married three years later. Infact, my ex came for the wedding and celebrated me even during the reception( my husband already know his story and was not surprised when he saw him at the wedding).

A year after the birth of my son, I had an official assignment in another location where my ex's sister resided and because I could not complete the assignment that day, I decided to sleep over at her place. But on getting there, I saw my ex sitting in the living room. It was already late as at that time and I couldn't go back or book for a hotel and I decided to chilled out, telling myself that nothing must happen between us that day. undecided My greatest mistake!

The apartment was just 3 bedroom. A master bedroom for the sister, a room for the children and the other for a visitor. Now we are having two visitors who once shared a thing for each other. cry My ex invited me into the room but I declined telling him I would rather sleep on the floor in the living room or he should bring a matrass for me. He brought the mattress in the visitors room into the living room and we both slept on it. One thing led to another in the middle of the night.... cry cry cry cry cry . And it happened! Coincidentally, my husband called at that time. I had to switched off my phone.

When I got back home the next day, I apologized to my husband that I had a flat battery and he didn't say anything but my husband never looked at me the same again. He never quarreled or said anything even after couple of years later. But the way he talks sometimes as if he kws I am hiding a secret from him and he wants me to open up to him. My fear is that if I should open up, I might lose my marriage and my family. What happened between my ex and I was a one time thing. I never went back or saw him again. It has been 10 years now and I am still feeling bad about it especially when he talked about cheating couple.

This feeling is eating me up. I don't know if I should still open up to him or I should forever remain silent about it....

cc: Relationship matters
Kill that guilt in you and forever remain silent.

It’s better for things to remain at the stage of suspicion than for you to confirm his suspicion to him yourself.

If you were a Catholic, I’d suggest you go for confession to a priest but I guess you are not.
