Lagos State should create an agency that you have to pass through at every stage of building. They must approve before you build the foundation, after building the foundation, raising the building to lintel level etc. At every stage the agency must must check the integrity of the building and give you a go ahead to proceed to the next stage.

It doesn't matter if this will make building of houses in Lagos more expensive.. If you nor like am make you comot Lagos

ObiCertificate:
Any good gestures of Obi are overtaken by the aggressive, insultive, toxic and provocative behavior of his ipob-sympathetic followers who burnt bridges, spewed hate-speech and spoke derogatorily against Northerners especially Hausa Fulani for the last 7 years, and continue to do so.
The Igbos really don't know what they put their hands into when they were calling Nigeria a zoo, insulting other tribes and supporting the destruction of Nigeria.
When campaign starts proper, expect to see videos of when Nnamdi Kanu was insulting the Hausas, calling them senseless and saying the one Igbo man is worth more than 500 Hausa men. The worse part is that there were more the 200 Igbos in that video hailing Kanu as he was dishing out his insults.

How does the government expect them to raise that amount?

Calculate the huge number of local govt areas and states in the north that contributes absolutely nothing to the national treasury but yet still take home federal monthly allocations from oil and gas proceeds then compare to the number of states and local govts in the niger delta region.
The North is not the problem of oil producing states

Delta and bayelsa states have very tough enviroment that is very difficult to develop unlike the north the 13% they are getting for oil exploitation is clearly not enough to develop those regions. Only a very wicked heartless person will support the current structure of nigeria where the north takes the largest share of what the south is producing.
The North takes the largest share? Can you back up your claim with verifiable facts?
Foreign AffairsRe: See What Kazakhstan Does With Part 17% Of Its Oil Revenues by Perfectbeing(m): 9:03pm On Sep 21, 2022
Arda1000:
no I’d say if the regions with the oil had their own country, no parasites from Waste or North reaping from where they did not sow
The North is less than 5% of the problem of the South.

In the first 6 months of 2022 (Jan - June), the 8 Oil Producing states of Niger Delta shared 377. 9 billion naira as 13% Derivation Revenue. Of this figure, Delta state got the highest -- 114.7 billion naira. Akwa Ibom state followed with 80 billion naira. Bayelsa in 3rd position with 76. 7 billion naira & Rivers in 4th with 70. 4 billion naira. It is important to note that this 377. 9 billion shared by these states is just for the first 6 months of this year & not the total figure for the whole year 2022. It is equally noteworthy that this 377.9 billion is just from the mandatory 13% Derivation allocation. It does not include other hundreds of billions of naira coming in monthly from -- Main Statutory allocations, Royalties, Rents, Taxes, Ecological funds, IGRs, Loans, Grants & Refunds, NDDC funds, Ministry of Niger Delta funds etc. When you add this additional hundreds of billions of naira to Delta state's 114. 7 billion naira 13% Derivation share or Bayelsa's 76. 7 billion 13% Derivation share, the total in a month could blow one's mind. You could argue that Rivers state & Akwa Ibom can point at a few developmental projects that a fraction of this money is applied to while over 60% of these funds end up in private pockets. But where is the evidence of even 10% of this hundreds of billions anywhere in Delta state or Bayelsa state. And when one considers that Bayelsa is just only 8 local governments, any human being from that state should be shedding tears of shame. What socio-economic, infrastructural development & upliftment in the standard of living of citizens, comparable to that of any developed country in the world, can the hundreds of billions coming in monthly not be more than enough to build in Delta state or Bayelsa state with just 8 local governments that put together are not even up to one local government in Kano state? But unfortunately & tragically shameful too, the problem of the people of Delta & Bayelsa states ruled by Southerners since 1999 (23 years now) is the North. How surprising.

That was how me and one of my friend was watching a documentary about the Qatar stadiums. My friend said is it not the same oil that Qatar is selling that Nigeria is also selling. So where is Qatar getting all this money to build all these stadiums?

I told him to google Qatar's population, size and how many barrels of oil Qatar produces per day.
Qatar has a population of a little above 3 million people, produces 3 million barrels per day, and it's size is just two-three states in Nigeria.
Nigeria has 200 million people, produces less than one million barrels of oil per day and is more than 10 times the size of Qatar.

The summary of this long epistle, is when you wanna compare two things, don't look at it from one side. Go all around it and try to see things without emotions.

PoliticsRe: Anambra Traffic Laws & Penalties Versus Lagos Traffic Laws & Penalties. by Perfectbeing(m): 2:32pm On Sep 21, 2022
Lagos State cannot afford to treat traffic offenders with kids glove because of her population. The number of vehicles in Lagos alone is more than half the number of vehicles in the entire SE.
You have to be stricter in Lagos than anywhere else.

One person is hard to control, 2 million persons are harder to control, 20 million persons is almost impossible to control.

Its amazing when people try to prove intelligent with insults, yet very dumb and below par..

Lagos owes over $1.3bn external debt
And N800bn approx domestic debt... this is despite earning an average of N50bn monthly(disclosed income)... what infrasture backs that which is purely public funded ?

This is the reason the state has never respected the FOI bill despite tonnes of request from the public.
If you believe in your heart that the Lagos state doesn't have a purely public funded project and other states does, then it is better for us to end this argument.

Egypt is a country, Nigeria owes approx 2/3rd that amount, while lagos owes 12.5% of the debt despite earning the most, still yet.. nothing tangible to lay claims to on the huge figure... note: exclude private partnerships incase you want to list phantom projects.
Don't be a dullard.
The percentage you quoted is the domestic debt of the 36 states and FCT of which Lagos owes 12.31%

That 12.31% is actually about N659 billion (less than a billion dollars).
That amount is not too bogus for a State that pays above minimum wage, embarks on massive infrastructural development and not owe salaries on pension.

Lagos has a debt of over N750bn... an obvious giant leap of over N200bn between 2021 and today, what significant expenditure of that volume consumed that?

Obi received a little over N500bn FAAC in 8years as Governor, yet the works are visible.. while Lagos has a debt load that towers that excluding the huge FAAC allocated to it alongside other undisclosed incomes...

We should not be asking this question, Lagosians should be asking "who stole us blind"?
Which of his works are visible? Name his any of his legacy project still standing today.

The most developed Nations are most times the most indebted.
Even the Egypt that PO went to visit is in an almost $200 billion debts. It is that debt that is bringing about the development in Egypt.
