Alphazulu1:It is really pathetic how international oil companies are now using Nigerian employees as cheap labour while not able to practice such in their home country and the developed countries where they have operations; our labour organizations, employment laws, governmental policies including the Nigerian leadership in those companies are partially to blame. Please, instead of just complaining passively, create a thread, tag as many people possible and let us see if it can get to front-page where stakeholders can be involved. |
planetx:NCR M16 is a Ducatti product and not a BMW product. Its price ranges from 18k USD to 56k USD for the regular type but the special order ones which is one of the 10 most costly bikes in the world is what you saw at 232k USD. So if I and you both purchase a BMW car, with mine being regular order and yours special order, will we rate mine at your own value? I am yet to see the model of the BMW power bike Yusuf Buhari rode but for that information to be absent on social media yet a huge sum of money being bandied about should tell you, it is all politics, which is killing us and taking us nowhere. |
erico2k2:Seriously, I care less about what people think of PMB; he is the president and should be ready for it but for us to be so partisan that we start wishing an obviously calm and humble guy death and evil speaks volume about our perceived humanity. I was also flabbergasted by the mention of that huge sum of money as the price of the BMW bike and the doubting spirit in me wanted to research it; I checked online and observed that of the proclaimed 26 New BMW power bikes models produced in 2017, the prices starts from a little above 1M with none being above 8M so how did we arrive at 54M? For those who don't believe PMB son is calm and humble, you can ask questions about the sons of Obasanjo, Atiku, IBB, Abacha and even GEJ while they were in government and relate their acts to that of Yusuf Buhari. Funny enough, most of his critics are worse in their dealings with those with lower posture in the society yet they hypocritically blame him for having a love more than 10,000 registered bikers have including lower class employees here in Nigeria. |
I have a God is good bus ticket for Abuja to Warri tomorrow. 25th December, 2017 but due to a new issue that popped up, I won't be able to go so I want to transfer the ticket to the first person who comment on his/her plan to travel to Warri from ABUJA tomorrow. Thanks. |
Beehandz:The exams are written in. DLI, Lagos; no need to travel to Zaria. |
Do you have a 8GB DDR Ram for and the power IC card for HP Elitebook 8440p? If you do, how much is it? |
UfuomaUN:Ufuoma, I got admitted to FUPRE 2009; during former VC Alabi's time and I can tell you that most of those projects you talk of cannot be credited to GEJ but Yar Adua; OBJ approved budget for the school and made provision for its implementation but the funds were released in batches until finally Yar Adua approved the full release; which made the spontaneous start of the project. Delta State government promised us road from the community into the school; I was personally there when Gbagi made the statement as the then state commissioner for education but they didn't commit to their promises. GEJ never stepped into the school all through his tenure, nor did anything to encourage the positioning of the school but in his own way didn't stand against the free development of the school; however, when the issue of accreditation and signing the school existence bill into law, he was non-committal or you have forgotten the student strikes of 2012 and 2013, so crediting him for the progress so far is wrong; don't bring politics into the positioning and standings of the school as the school is far from being where it should be based on what the first VC Alabi made us believe as at time of admission. |

Topestbilly:On behalf of aliens, we reject him and pronounce him dust. |
MarcC:Quite a catchy story. I admit that other tribes may not want to dabble into the Biafra issue; not because Igbos are hated or we support sentimental treatment of the Igbos but what do we have to say when some of your leaders and the main agitator for IPOB have alienated us by calling us different names, slandered us and gone the extra mile of insulting our leaders. Another deriding factor is the boisterous nature of those in the forefront of IPOB; nobody really knows what they have in the offing so it is basically an issue of wait-and-see. The Biafra story is more of a child who on the promise of a bicycle abandoned and disentangled himself from his friends but on finding that there was no bicycle to play with tried to run back to them; they may accept him but it will be with reservations. Igbos should learn to harmonise with people of different tribes more and use them to achieve their intended aim rather than openly despise them as we all need ourselves with or without Biafra; when treated rightly, we will watch out for one another. I, speak for myself and some few Yorubas whom I have been privileged to discuss the Biafra issue with; we don't hate igbos and to the very good Igbo friends we have, we don't see ourselves as Yoruba to Igbo, we see ourselves as one and I hope that we can all in unity achieve that oneness one day or if it is for the better good, you people will have your Biafra peacefully. |
nzeobi:I like your style of thinking; we on the other side of the divide know the Nigerian problem but are we willing to solve it when we get to positions of power and influence then what are we doing about getting to such positions? |
SalamRushdie:These politicians have nothing to offer; they are there to enrich themselves and share crumbs to the impoverished. I have observed you from far and with time came respect so I throw it to you to find within you means through which we can take back our country from the so called jackals and I take up that responsibility too. Note: In Nigeria, there are only two classes, irrespective of religion, ethnic group, education, etc.; the group remains the elite and the non-elite; if you are not in the position to influence and make laws that can advance the people of Nigeria, you are a non-elite and I hope that you take up the responsibility of taking back the Nigeria of our dreams. |
I know nothing enough to decide if she actually owns the London house or not but in her rebuttal, she tried so hard to make us believe the bullet proof car issue was just an insinuation; I disagree with this, as a panel was opened to look into the car's purchase and it was indicated she didn't go through the normal procurement route, hence trying to change the story today, gives me the chills and take her denial with a pinch of salt. However, she is entitled to deny the allegations but the onus is on the accusers to prove her right or wrong. |
Kazim88:While your opinion may be valid or invalid, insulting a whole ethnic group on an online platform like this is uncalled for and is only disintegrating us further as people, and not just as a tribe. We should believe in ourselves, desire to better the lot of our tribes and people but please desist from insulting other tribes and making inflammatory statements. Thank you. |
discusant:Inasmuch as Nigeria doesn't look anything like what we hope it should be, desist from calling it a jungle; this is all we have and our time will come when we can make it meaningful except we are saying we don't have it in us to make Nigeria better, then we have no reason to continue criticizing. Now that you have categorically called it a jungle, how do you expect the international community not to treat us like animals from the jungle; this is a plea. |
Kamelot77:Like someone pointed out, stop painting Nigeria in bad light because this is social media and everybody universally has access to it so when foreigners give us bad names, we caused it. However, to refute your statement, there was a case of a small boy who had a 1 inch nail down his cranial cavity or skull very close to the brain who was safely operated upon in UCH by Professor Sokunbi as far back as the early 2000s; there are so much we are capable of as Nigerians which you may never see on social media. |
I have personal issues with this kind of report; someone, who obviously has never been to Lagos rates Lagos as worst off than Palestine, Syria, Sudan etc. and just because the person is obviously a foreigner, it is assumed to be precise - you can hear mentions of instability due to boko harm, thus far, Lagos has never been attacked by that group and irrespective of internal crises, the government of Lagos state has always been responsive yet some Nigerians will accept this as a fact just because of hate. Is it not appalling that they are using the little divisive power of social media given them by those not wishing well for the country to attack us as a people; they didn't class any other city in Nigeria, which literary means they are all unlivable. Do we blame them when we ourselves call our country a zoo. We call our cities mundane names just because we chose to be tribalistic and justify our superiority over one another; this is not helping our international outlook. As Nigerians, we should distance ourselves and criticize such irrational and unfounded reports or else we will be redefined based on others perception of us rather than who we actually are. I believe in the strength and beauty of my country irrespective of it being the east, north, south or west and never will I accept a clown's classification of the lovely Lagos as the most unlivable. |
princemillla:Just for my insightful mind, how much is a typical 100x50 plot within the residential section; not the upscale area though. |
modelmike7:God bless your business and make you bigger; don't lose the dream. However Versace is dead so stop seeing him in your dream, lol. |
Stress is one other important thing to consider; the body immune system weakens when the stress is too much. |
nnokwa042:It is an irrefutable fact that Sir Louis Odumegwu was a millionaire but being the first in Nigeria is contestable; Da Rocha has been historically regarded as a millionaire and he was born 1860. Dantata was born in 1877 while Sir Louis was born 1908 so there is that possibility that those guys were millionaires before him. Another thing to consider is that as at the time First bank of Nigeria started operations in Nigeria, Dantata was claimed to have gone there with over 100 bags of money; which infers he was already a millionaire in 1894, when First bank started operations. This was 14 years before Sir Louis Odumegwu was born so let us just assume he was the richest at his time but not the first millionaire in Nigeria. |
ALAYORMII:That is because there is this report that he was on a sailing ship with white passengers and while sipping champagne, a white man complained of when black monkeys started drinking champagne. To spite the white man, he bought all the champagne on board and ensured only those he wished to share with had champagne to drink. About him being the first millionaire, he was actually rich enough to be called a millionaire but inability to point out to his investments in present day may imply that he was not as rich as later millionaires but since he was born in 1860 ahead of the likes of Sir Louis Odumegwu (1908), he may surely have been Nigeria's first millionaire. |
richyblink1:There are always two sides to a story; never, ever take one side without hearing out the other person. In this scenario, the brother in law just left her outside and most likely due to his closeness to his brother quickly dashed in to see the brother in the room; saw the wife there and in shock must have frozen. Guess what! He saw nothing as his brain would have played a prank on him; he will only be trying to understand how come the brother's wife is now in the room when she should actually be outside, then reality sets in, he apologizes and most likely steps out; this is one part of the story the woman left out. Inasmuch as the guy forgot his manners and didn't knock the door before entering the room, I believe it is a forgivable offence and there is no need making a storm in a tea cup. |
Inasmuch as I am appalled that he stole from someone who evidently has shown concern for him, I pity him because inadvertently he is not smart but a victim of circumstances; he wanted something better but because he saw no viable opportunity, he resorted to stealing from someone who trusted him and who he feels has nothing to lose from the theft of that money. Bad thing is he lacks morals nor the street sense to get himself out of the situation he found himself by leveraging on the opportunities of the Uber business he is doing, to pursue his dream; he allowed greed get the better of him so justice must certainly prevail. However, for those of you in government coffers and for the gullible followers who support corruption and the raping of the country populace of their common wealth, I plead to you, help the helpless, speak out for transparency and development and let us assist in giving our nation a future and hope. |
DoubleN:Thank you so much double N, I am going through the site but i however have a challenge; I got two conflicting information when I visited the school; one person said that executive MBA is 600k while another person from the school of business said 1.2M. Please can you clarify which is correct. |
Hi, I saw this topic on google and being interested in the ABU Online MBA, I wish to know if anybody subscribed last year and how the program went; modalities, fees, and generally the standard. Thanks |
So, the bank now has new owners who want to buy the whole shareholders fund; at how much and are we sure shareholders were put into consideration during the bank sales? The sales and acquisitions of banks in the past has resulted in dwindling shareholders value, which unfortunately will kill the stock exchange market on the long run. I am talking from personal experience, so I am surprised that AMCON, while solving a problem, isn't completely eradicating the issues that prompted the problem. Soon, we the investors will pull out all our funds and devalue all these mismanaged companies since we already know that we are getting nothing at the end of the sales. |
lazeal:I see Leonardo di Caprio as a very expressive actor; it has to do with the roles. Try and watch 'catch me if you can' and 'wolves of wall street' then you may change your theory that he is only good for love movies. |
TonyeBarcanista:Inasmuch as I don't see her being productive in the Senate nor would I condescend to cast my vote for her likes, I believe that she will win and it is the only way she can get the government off her trail; the story of Buruji Kashamu should give you a better idea. We are too divided in this country along political and ethnic lines which unfortunately favours Madam Patience Jonathan; she is deep PDP with obvious support from PDP state leader; Governor Wike, and in truth her people sort of like her, so I still stand to be corrected, she may be the next Senator representing Rivers East. However, my issue with us in Nigeria is the siddon-and-look approach we always take; we can see how the game is playing out now yet we won't do anything until 2019 when she wins and we start crying foul. I admonish that if there is any sane person who believes she won't deliver, this is the best time to start scouting for someone who can give her a run for her money and bring in good leaders; if we all do that in our respective constituencies, we may just have the solution to sanitising the Senate and House of Representatives. |
In as much as I believe there may be prejudice by some set of people, I disagree with this write-up. I have observed from my own personal experience as a corper and perception of how corpers are treated in other states that they are generally accepted by people. I can recall an igbo man whom from the look of things isn't that rich, guiding me and showing me how to navigate my way in Enugu yet paying my transport fare, even though it is practically indicative that I am yoruba. Corpers are generally accepted so the writer must have met with biased people and not the generality of Igbos. |
When everything then seemed lost, I just needed the undiluted word on what to do next, that word came out from this simple man of God; he remains the only man of God I give all attention and respect to because he has proven himself to be God sent. Happy birthday sir. |
mofebosola:Nice idea, why don't you send a proposal to the Lagos state government with the pros and cons indicated and probably a feasibility study. I believe it may be worked on in Ambode's second tenure. |

you and pronounce you an Alien.
