African leaders and misplaced priorities |
bidexiii:They make it look like BH are armed bandits ravaging the town for food. With all the footage on the internet one would expect a convincing narrative of what went down, instead it's the usual edit, copy and paste tactics. The army can do better than this. |
jakeporeshenko:This is serious let down. Sending civilians into a zone that is not safe is a dis-service to our people. It is obvious that the NE is not as safe as they want us to believe. The higher authorities are so much in a hurry to impress the public at the expense of innocent souls. The military is overstretched The IDP camps are overstreched Resources are overstretched Is there anything that is not overstretched in this country at this time? |
Tochex101:If that's the case, is it it safe to say the base was abandoned because it was poorly manned and in order to save face the best option would be to abandon the base to avoid heavy casualty. Three days is enough to prep serious air offensive. True, if BH had captured some serious arms, by now they would be doing some bling bling showoff all over the internet by now. But if there was three days HUMINT before the attack, then this is some serious flaws on their end. We should be taking full advantage at this point to deal some serious blows. |
Xbee007:Maybe exaggerated, but never rule out laxity. This is nigeria, where amazing things happen. |
kenpaul0:Sounds like a bright idea but we are high on EGO at this present time. |
bidexiii:I guess its cheaper on the long run to allow the camp be raided by BHT and then subsequently carry out a well co-ordinated counter offensive to flush them out. Three days notice is more than enough time to get the three arms of military prepare for an offensive. |
ugo4u:Just like the previous government, this govt is too contented managing this war rather than bringing it to an end. I doubt if there is any town in Niger, Chad or Cameroon that BH currently occupies. Nigeria is the loose end. BH feels so comfy attacking our military bases rather than the neighbouring countries. This attack was carried out the same way our SF would have successfully raided BHT camp. They problably had prior information on how weak the base was. NAF have their hands filled at this time of the year. This time tomorrow, one would expect that gudumbali would be severely air raided. |
He looks like a Gucci clown |
Ask them what is the magnitude of the earth tremor, they will start setting up committees to look into it. |
bluefilm:And who told you the report came from a journalist. Bloggers have taken over. Kings and queens of internet thrash |
70% of that loan will find its way back to china as ZTE and Huawei supplies 80% of Nigeria's telecom equipments. The same companys are responsible for the failure of the $328 CCTV Surveillance contract that was signed by OBJs govt. These chinese are smart. They know how to invest these monies and reap the benefit as immediate as possible. Givin loans to Nigeria is not an issue for them. Like somebody said, this money will be better off if directly invest in the power sector, especially the distribution and transmission arms. |
Over $500 million dollars for an election that will cater for less than 50 million voters. It is well with my country |
Lightning is actually an electrical discharge, moreso an dielectric breakdown due to large potential differences between the lower layers of clouds and the surface of the earth. It can be defined as the fourth fundamental state of matter also known as PLASMA. For you Lightning arrestor installation to protect your building and occupants, check out the thread https://www.nairaland.com/3378666/lightning-arrestor-installation-buildings-pics |
abiodunalasa:Bros, Abeg let this issue rest now. Dress code is not an issue as far as the police in Nigeria and other clime. There seems to be some level of freedom that is generally allowed. I saw a video on YouTube where tens of Chicago policemen ina mix of mufti and uniform cornered an armed criminal. Most of them had bullet proof vests on them. Plainclothes is a usual practice among the detectives I believe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvDq7zC2Evk&t=112s |
spartoo:Most terrorists commit henious crime before they could be apprehended. With the CCTV in place, security personnels have a good lead to track and identify who the perpetrator is and find out if there are accomplices. Afterwards, thousands of lives are saved by quickly arresting the accomplice and preventing them from carrying out more attacks. Criminals commit crimes because they have a sense of anonymity. |
spartoo:Never mind. They will get hold of one someday and you can be rest assured he will pay for all previous thefts. We need to be vigilant |
Akomah:Do you know that in some cases, police brutality of an innocent staff could resulted to death. Thank God you are alive. If you had surveillance system in place, this wouldn't have happened. For those who question the relevance of having a CCTV in place, hope the curiosity has been quenched. |
spartoo:1. Without the CCTV in place, there will be high level of suspicion among the staff themselves. An innocent staff could be sacked on the groud of suspicion. With the footage, it is clear the thief is not a member of the Organisation. 2. With this footage, there is concrete evidence if paraventure he is caught and charged to court. No room for denial 3. The organization now knows its weak point. Moe secure measure would be put in place. No guest can be trusted |
Abeg, Op. Next time, add "Very Graphic Pics". |
Odunayaw:This is so funny. Is a B. Ed in physical education suppose to make you bullet proof. Pretty dumb |
With a DNA database in place, it would have been easy to track the parents and proper punishment dished out to the two this immoral misconduct. Babies are so cute |
skylarr:A lot of igbos do clean business, just a few bad eggs here and there. On a serious note, Alaba market needs some serious cleansing. You are most likely to run into the illegitimate business men than the legitimate. First line of defense, never let a tout show you around. |
thatigboman:This right here is why Arsenal has refused to transform into a winning machine for decades now. The team wenger built is a trying team and not a winning team. Always trying to be the best without desperately longing for it won't amount to anything. Wenger laid a lazy philosophy that looked like it was working but was always going to fail. Arsenal needs total overall. Dump that tici-tica crap of football and play desperately offensive. Ever since wenger stopped playing the traditional defensive midfield diamond pattern and adopted the all out Brazilian midfield free flowing football, he gradually lost it. Why the hell do you crowd your midfield with fleet footed players who are experts at ball watching when on the receiving end. A little mix of hardline mourinho defensive tactics would do that team a lot of good. I miss the Wiltord-Viera-Gilbertto-Edu-Diarra-Song era. That was when arsenal played authoritative football. These new kids are just here to be part of unproductive champagne football. |
Did your beloved lagos give you the degree you have today? Even if you are indebted, no one can take the degree from you. This girl go like free things |
Sarakis prayers are being answered |
Buhari and his cabals made Saraki look smarter. |
macbede:Actually, 200,000 venezuelar Bolivar now exchanges for a dollar
|
That road if completed would alleviate millions of Nigerians who have left inner lagos for boundary towns that lie between lagos and ogun as a result of increasing accomodation bills. Because of the deplorable state of this road, souls have been lost and the transport fare has become astronomical. Amosun is one of the low performing governors who has managed to evade governance radar by using public propaganda. Ogun state has never gotten it right despite its proximity to the largest economy in nigeria. Indigenes of ogun state must wake up and demand for better governance. Too many misfits grabbing power |
muffyt05:Continue giving excuses for glaring failure. Venezuela's economic growth is hampered by the west numerous economic sanctions for years just like Iran. Is nigeria under any sanctions? The sanction imposed on Nigerians by these demons calling themselves politicians will wipe out any nation. That road has been under a mirage since 2014. All you can say is half bred is better than non. This is politicians holding back the future and you are here doing Thanksgiving. Shameful |
We underestimate the capacity of surveillance cameras. They come with more intelligent features like motion detection, voice relay (legal disclaimer comes with this) vandal alarm and IR sensors that trigger screenshots sent via email or local server. The times we live in requires that we not only seek protection for our loved ones but also business associate and customers. Having properties secured by CCTV system per every 1,500sqm should be a standard in Nigeria. Security should not be left to the police alone. Check my posts if you need to secure your property |
Aside from Silver, Copper and Copper alloy(bronze and brass)remains the most conductive metal on earth. Three times the conductive strength of alumina.Six times that of iron and it's alloy.
