Thanks for the correction Dear colleague, when did you applied for the evaluation?

Does CES regard LLB as a Professional certificate?

How did you forward your transcript(s) from Nigeria to CES?

Other people can also help me out with the above questions.

Thanks every one.

I’m currently evaluating an LLB with CES and started another application with IQAS.

Started CES 2nd week in December 2020 and it’s progressing well. Hopefully I should receive my report before the end of this month.

Started ECA with IQAS in Feb 2021.

See link below of people who successfully evaluated their LLB with CES

It says I'm not eligible. I'm 25. Single, My IELTS is LSRW - 7, 7, 6.5, 6.5, BSC, and 3+ years of work experience with a NOC A

At what point did it say you're not eligible?

It's an undergraduate degree, and i don't have much funds and i heard its expensive to run msc in Canada.
Can i gain experience in any firm and any country?
And does experience gain on contract or part-time count?
And web development is my side hustle, i can code in html, css and javascript, a bit of python, would a switch to it be IT be more beneficial or i should just follow the Electrical route?
Thanks for the swift response

Part time experience counts too but it must be up to 1560 hours/year. And work experience can be in any country.

Read more here:

Are you able to start an MSc degree in China? If yes fine. An MSc will give you extra 15 points. If you're not able to start another MSc in China, try Canada. Depending on the school you apply to, you get guaranteed funding (tuition and monthly stipends). Check UBC and UoT.

Please guys this is my sister’s profile

29 years old
Lawyer
4 years working experience
Married with a kid of 2years+
No ielts but she’s ready to write.

Husband
Customs officer
MSc
9years plus working experience
No ielts but he’s ready to write

Which of them is best to file for the family?

Which is better pnp or express entry ?

Express entry and the wife should be the principal applicant.

Both of them should quickly evaluate their credentials. The husband should evaluate his MSc alone with WES while the wife should evaluate her LLB with IQAS (or CES).

As evaluation is going on, they should both prepare and max out IELTS General and get passports for their children (that's if they don't have it already).

No time!

Hello guys, I'm studying electrical engineering and automation in china, I'm just 24 years, i would graduate in two months,, i have some questions
1. i would like to know if it would be easy to follow this Canada work route without any work experience as a fresh graduate.
2. how easy it would be to get a job for my major, electrical engineering
3. the estimated total costs to run it myself
4. How long would it takes to land a visa
5. Any obstacles i would face in the journey

Please i need answers

Is this an undergrad or a graduate program?
If it's an undergrad, I'll say explore graduate studies in Canada. And then EE afterwards.

If it's a graduate program, my advice will be to gain at least one year experience before applying.

Estimated cost for a single person is around 15000 CAD (POF, application fees, language test, ECA, etc)

Can you learn French during NYSC? If u can, u would be in Canada by next year with at least 470 points.

The other option if u don't want french is to gain 3 years work experience, n do a masters.

Think about what u REALLY want.

Oga, if you don't have at least 1 year of skilled work experience, you are not eligible for Express entry.
If you like become a professor in IELTS and TEF, you need at least 1 year of skilled work experience to be eligible.

Just my certificates
It's assumed he's not coming at all.
(Our plan is to get me there first and later, him)

Even if he's not going immediately, my advice will be for you both to apply together. When you're successful, he can do a soft landing and come back to Naija. That way he's already permanent resident and going back to Canada will be as easy as booking a flight ticket.

Secondly, Whether or not he is going with you now, you need to show proof of funds for your entire family.

Good afternoon everyone.

Please I need help with this. My husband is trying to pay for his WES evaluation from Accra, Ghana to no avail. He has tried some of the banks there like Republic Bank (formerly HFC bank), Ecobank and Zenith bank prepaid mastercard to no avail.

For the Republic Bank and Ecobank, he has accounts there but for Zenith bank, he only got a prepaid mastercard. He tried opening a dollar account but apparaently you need the account number of WES to be able to pay directly from Dollar accounts.

The option for direct transfer actually comes up in Ghana but not in Nigeria when I tried paying. However, since the first time the option came up, it has not come up since. So even though he has a dollar account, he can't make a transfer to WES because the option for bank transfer payment has not come up again.

Please if anyone has gone through this before, kindly advise on which option to use to pay for the evaluation.

Thank you.

Further questions-

What if I pay for the evaluation here in Nigeria? That is I log on to his WES account and pay. Would they accept the payment being that the name on my card and the name of the WES are different names?

Yea they should accept the payment even if it's your name.

And if they don't, create a Barter account with his email or phone number.

But I'm sure they would

Hello everyone I'm about starting this journey. I have simulated my score without my husband (we are not going together, he'd join afterwards) and it's about 440 if I max out my IELTS.
What can I do to improve my scores?
I'm a Chartered Accountant- Ican, have about 6 years of experience. No Msc.
Must I go through the study route?

In your simulation, did he write the IELTS and evaluate his credentials?

Good day, Please who has used CES evaluation this 2021 and at what stage are you now?

Although I am using but WES and CES but if I get for WES alone they evaluate my Law degree as a four years course and not a degree to practice a profession, this then makes my point end at 477

But with CES evaluation I can get 484 as my point since it's evaluate my law degree as a degree to practice a profession more equivalent to a masters degree

Although I am presently doing my masters but would not complete it until September and Time is of essence

Please please, I need an answer to this again.

A friend has a BSC in business admin. He has started PGD in Business Admin. But he heard from someone that since they are both BA, they will not be seen as 'two or more certs'.

Is this true? If yes, can you suggest better options for him??

I'll really appreciate a response. Thank y'all.

BSc and PGD is 2 or more certificates
It doesn’t matter whether the PGD it’s in Business Admin or not.

I just clicked 28 this month, considering I have just 2 years now to reach 30, what's the best way you think I can increase my score to 470 within a year or so.
Thanks

You're 28; that's good.

Get a PGD or MSc before you clock 29.
Max out your IELTS General (Target to score 9, 9, 7.5, 7.5 in LRWS respectively).

With PGD and BSc (2 or more certificates), your CRS score comes to 474
With an MSc, you score 481

Pls, I need help.
I'm 31 with HND Physics/Electronics and Physics degree in view, 5 years experience in academics as a Technologist. About getting married.
I'm planning on relocating to Canada to work and later study . Please how will I make this dream achievable?
Would I applied for work permit or study visa?
WES evaluation ?
IELTS?
Cost?
Please, kindly put me through the processes involved.

Thanks.

Please start from reading from Page 1 here: https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

When you've spent about a day reading from Page 1, you will understand the process.

As a summary, estimate what your CRS score will be here: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

1. Evaluate your OND and HND with WES
2. Max out IELTS General. Aim for 8777 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking respectively. The higher scores you get the better.
3 Create an Express entry profile.

If your Express entry CRS score is higher than the cutoff score for that period, you get an invitation to apply for permanent residency.

Again, read from Page 1 here and you will have a better understanding of how Express entry works - https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

I am married with two children. I am 40years and my wife is 31years with HND in business administration and with little experience. I would appreciate all the help I acn get. Thank you

Your wife should be Principal Applicant since she's younger. Does she have up to 3 years experience?

Both of you should write the IELTS General Target 8,7,7,7 in L,R,W,S. Both of you should evaluate your credentials. You should evaluate your BSc and your wife should evaluate both her OND and HND.

Simulate your CRS score here - https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Thank you for the response. Please, do I have to have the money right now in my account and how long must it stay? or can I source and put the money in my account when I get an invitation.

It's advisable to have the money and it should have been in your account for minimum of 6 months. The POF letter from your bank should show the average balance for 6 months.

However, if you don't have all the money, your immediate family (yourself or your spouse's famiy) can dash (not borrow) you the money. In this case, they do a Gift Deed.

A Gift Deed can come in anytime, could be after you receive an ITA or 2 week before you submit your application.

Hello,

Pls I need your help.

I did a WES USA is 2019 for educational purposes.
Then this year I sent an email to WES USA to send my documents to WES Canada for immigration purposes.

And WES USA included my WAEC.

When I got my WES Canada report, It was written that the DOB on my WAEC (01/May/94) differs from my normal DOB(01/Jan/94).

And I went to WAEC office and they said they don’t do change of DOB anymore and they can’t help me nor send an email to WEs.

Pls what can I do? Will affidavit be enough to explain the discrepancy?

Pls I need your help.

P.s: I never knew all his while that my weac certificate had a DOB issue as I never collected it from my secondary school since I used online WAEC printout for university purposes and for WES USA so it came as a shock.

But I emailed my school last week and they couriered it to me so I could confirm the error.

Pls help

If I were you, I would do either or both of the following:

1. Get an affidavit of confirmation of birth and send to WES. Then keep following up with WES

2. Start another ECA with another body. IQAS, CES, etc. They don’t request for WAEC certificate

Hello Everyone,

I have got few questions and would be glad If I get an answer.

1. I got my IELTS result today with RLSW 7, 8, 7, 7. My total point is 451 alone, and with my partner (RLSW 6.5, 6.5, 6.5, 6) who has a brother in Canada 461. We both have two or more certificates. What are my or our chances without taking another IELTS or French course? I have a lot on my plate at the moment.

2. I currently study in Germany, however, still work for my company in Nigeria remotely as a Builder. Should I add it to my work experience? At the moment, I only work 20 hrs weekly. Usually, I work full time.

3. I have 2 kids with my partner In Nigeria but planning to go to Canada alone. Do I need to provide the $24,000 for 4 people or just $12,000 for me alone? Finally, how long must it stay in my account?

Too many questions grin I would be so glad if I get a response.

Thanks

1. If your wife is younger (less than 29) and she maxes the IELTS (8777/LRSW), her score comes up to 479. She can be the Principal Applicant
2. If you have more than 3 years experience, then there's no point including the remote work experience
3. Whether you land Canada alone or with your family, you need to show POF for family of 4.
