Another PNP draw.

Going by the current CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool, if an FSW draw were to be held today and IRCC invites 5000 people, the CRS cut off score will be between 481 and 485.

Whatever you can do to increase your score, do it now!

Bro I don't think that will be possible, I'm still an undergraduate with no work experience, filing a positive LMIA will be hard, which other way can i can get in?

The fastest way would be via studies, maybe another BSc degree. If you start now, you land Canada January/Feb 2022.
If you don't wanna do another BSc, the earliest you can land Canada for a Graduate programme is Fall 2022.
If you want to go via Express entry, first check if you are eligible here - https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/c2c/eapp.do

What does a LMIA mean?
And I'm just an undergraduate, I will graduate August this year, can it still work?

LMIA: Let's Meet In America
grin grin
Jes kidding.

LMIA is an acronym for Labour Market Impact Assessment. It is document that an employer in Canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker. A positive LMIA indicates that there is no Canadian citizen or permanent resident to fill a position, therefore enabling a Canadian employer to hire a foreign national.

Hello house. Please I need advice. I am a Bsc holder in chemical engineering with 5 years experience in process engineering. I am 36 and married with three kids. Please what is the best route to migrate to Canada? Please note that my plan is to go first while my family join me later.

The Express entry immigration program is like writing the JAMB exam. Millions of students write the JAMB exam every year but only those who score above the cutoff score get admission.

Use the CRS calculator (https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp) to simulate what your likely CRS score will be. Your CRS score is determined by your level of education, work experience, IELTS General score (aim to score at least 8,7,7,7 in LRWS), your age, etc. From the information you’ve provided, your CRS score will likely be around 400. Based on the last FSW Express entry draw (468), you will not get an ITA with a CRS score of 400.

The available options for you are:
a) As the Principal Applicant, write the French exam (TEF), in addition to maxing your IELTS. Evaluate your BSc. Your wife also needs to write the IELTS and evaluate her highest education. With this, your CRS score should be around 470, and you may get an ITA.
b) If your wife is younger, she should be the Principal Applicant. What’s her level of education? Both of you should write the IELTS and evaluate your credentials.
c) If you are lucky, you may get a Provincial nomination
d) Take the study route

How much is thier rate

Oga, from your moniker, one would guess that you are into fx and should know that exchange rates are not fixed.

Why not create an account with Wallets Africa and before you fund the account, they tell you what the exchange rate is for that day?

We are in Part 10 already and more than half of the stuffs posted here are stuffs that can be found so easily on Google.

If your friend has more than 3 years of work experience she'll have a CRS of 460 which is quite low for 2020 and 2021. CRS scores are currently above 470 due to the exclusion of outland applicants from the different rounds of invitations that have been conducted

Please how is CRS score currently above 470?

so what do I do with the code?

When you get the personal reference code (its alphanumeric and 12 characters), register as a new user here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html

I will suggest using a different email address
Select Express entry

Please, someone help a brother with answers to the following. I went to my school and asked for a copy of my transcript to WES. I was asked to go and generate WES Reference Number. I have started the application via WES website. However, I have these two issues:
When applying for WES Reference Number, should I

1: add another recipient apart from me and IRCC
2: tick Standard Mail Via Canada Post (no tracking) or International Courier (tracking) UPS or TNT?

On another level, which NOC should a writer/Editor opt for in Manitoba PNP? Thanks as I anticipate your swift and accurate responses.

1. Just IRCC and you
2: Standard delivery. International courier is more expensive and there really is no need cos you can download a soft copy of your ECA report.

Sorry about this. You will be fine.

I have helped simulate the FSW draws using current statistics. I assumed 5,000 ITAs will be issued per each draw, and there will be 10% of each "score range" entering the pool after each draw. I also adjusted for new Nominations of 200-250 (leftovers of PNP draws), since there will be PNP draws alongside FSW.

The outcome will be as shown in below table....your band (461-470) will be fully issued ITA after 7th draw. However, you are likely to get yours after 4th/5th draw wink

So, keep praying FSW draws start soon and they increase the ITAs to 5,000+ consistently.

Ceteris Paribus.

NB: The figure used is as of 12/04/21. Figures will change weekly as candidates update their profiles.

Interesting. So the next general draw will be around 481?

. Hello thanks for the reply.

Although i am 27, i can’t be the PA right now. Even though i am currently running my masters, i wont be done until march next year.

I will look into the Pnp because he is opposed to writing french.

If he includes me as accompanying right now with just a Bsc, it will reduce his crs score to 443.

@prettiepearlz

Without you he is 456, with you accompanying he is 443; based on the last FSW draw (468), either score is still low to get an ITA now.
The options are: (a) either of you to write the French exam (in addition to the IELTS) or, (b) he waits until you complete your MSc, and then you be the PA. Thankfully, you're 27 and have 2+ years before you start loosing 5 points.

Don't feel guilty because you only have a BSc now. With or without you, his scores are still low to get him an ITA. Your age gives you an advantage.

If he decides to apply alone with his 456 and he's lucky to get an NOI from any province, by the time they complete processing his PNP application and he jumps into the pool, you should be done with your MSc.

No, the first appeal is free, they said i should send an email within 30days of getting my report if im dissatisfied. After the first appeal, if youre still dissatisfied, then you write officially and pay $199. I graduated from uk. I believe this is a mistake from the individual assessor. I'll be attaching reports of previous assessments of other people who recently got their llb evaluated as a masters by ces. Im positive theyll change it.

Okay. All the best in your appeal.
What was the duration of the LLB program?

Let me point this here: LLB are not evaluated as Master's degree, but as a Professional degree, though both have the same point in Express entry.

Make person wet get LLB no go dey tell people say CES don dash am Master's degree.

Really sorry to hear this. What school did you graduate from.

To appeal, follow here: https://learn.utoronto.ca/comparative-education-service/about-ces/fees-and-additional-forms and click on ECA Decision Appeal

It cost $199 to appeal and I don't know how long it takes. I also understand that it's an exhaustive process - https://learn.utoronto.ca/comparative-education-service/about-ces/terms-conditions

You should start an ECA with IQAS while appealing your CES ECA.

Good Evening guys,

I have some questions that have been disturbing me for some days now.

My IELTS score is L8, R8.5, W7, S7. I am married, Please do my wife needs to write IELTS to complement my score?

Can my Uncle from my Maternal side recommend me from Canada?

Please I need help with these questions, it's urgent.

IELTS score alone does not determine your CRS score. You need to factor in your level of education, age, work experience (in/outside Canada), whether you are applying as a single or married.

Your IELTS score is good. In fact, we scored exactly the same. Simulate your CRS score without your wife writing IELTS or even evaluating her credentials and if you score 468 upwards, well... The last draw for all programs + FSW was 468.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

And your uncle cannot “recommend” you.

Spend some time reading from Page 1

This is the case with MOD presently. They have changed one of the modules on the online portal but when we called, we were told that the EOR is still in progress and they do not have any update yet.

Can one use the TRF online with the new score to create profile? is it the same with the hard copy owing that the score has been changed.

Send MOD an email with a screenshot showing the new score.

You can decide to use the new score now or wait till MOD respond to you. It’s up to you. The TRF number is the same.

Keep checking your online portal.

Sometimes BC in the UK update your score online but BC in Naija takes a longer time to notify you via email.

Use the highest score possible (I haven’t done it yet)

In the last 10 years, how many total years of foreign skilled work experience do you have?

Like how many years of work experience do you have? You most likely chose zero.

Try the CRS calculator again and choose 3 years or more

2. The husband will need to submit his bank statement of account if writing a letter right?

3. Yeah. That's the concern here. Some people's payoff is far more than PoF needed, but still curious on why IRCC might not accept such as PoF.

2. Honestly I don't know if the husband should submit a bank statement. A letter stating that the wife has full access to the account should suffice. But then VOs are unpredictable.

3. If you want to use your gratuity as POF, then you have to resign now and your company pays you your gratuity. And in your application, you do a LOE, attaching the EOS letter from your former company, clearly stating your gratuity.

Make sure you get another job/start a business before you resign o. Lol

Questions I find hard to answer.

If your wife is the primary applicant, can the husband's 25% Pension fund balance be used as PoF?

They will be going together, and husband will also be providing remaining PoF as deed gifts.

Also, since they accept 25% Pension fund balance as PoF, can you use your End of Service (EOS/Gratuity) as PoF if you can get your employer to write a letter to this effect?

1. Depends on the VO handling your application. Some people have been successful using 25% of their pension fund while others have not. Some VO argue that since the 25% can only be accessed 4 months after the RSA holder is out of employment, then technically you don't have access to the funds now. Your POF should be readily available to you when you apply.

2. Okay. What some spouse do is to write a letter (some notorise it) stating that the other spouse has unrestricted and full access to the funds in their account. No need for Gift deed

3. I guess so. Some companies pay massive end of service to employees who resign.

Good evening everyone. Please I have read the screen shot from CIC website that accompanied the above quote.

My question is for those of us working in a university, admin staff. Usually we write to Registrar of the University for Letter of Introduction if we are travelling out for vacations. But registrar is not our immediate boss. We have HODs and Deans.

So for IRCC letter of work reference, who do I meet to issue it? My immediate supervisor I.e (HOD/Dean) or the Registrar?

Both will be on University letter head. But one will bear Office of the Dean. The other will bear Office of the Registrar. It's a Federal University.

Thank you.

I’d say HOD

Hello House,

Please is there anyone who submitted CES evaluation since December 2020 and yet to get a feedback. The delay is really getting to me as i have written mails to them to no avail. I don't even know what to do again. My IELTs result has been ready since March but I'm unable to enter the pool due to this.

Secondly, is it mandatory for my spouse as a secondary applicant to also evaluate her credentials.

Thank you.

Applied for CES ECA in December 2020. The last update I received from CES was in mid February. When you apply they tell you that the Timeline is 15 - 20 weeks. Hopefully my ECA should be out this month.

Are you able to track the status of your application in your portal?

It’s not mandatory for your spouse to evaluate their credentials or even write the IELTS If your CRS score (as the PA) is enough to fetch you an ITA.
But know this: when you include a spouse in your application, you will get a lesser score for your IELTS, age and education, than someone who applied without a spouse.

So it’s advisable for your spouse to evaluate their credentials and write the IELTS, so you can boost your score.
