Good evening house,

One of my previous employer say they can't do me the reference letter, I have told them to put it in a mail thou, the good thing is that one of my senior colleagues is willing to sign off one on a plain paper for me but I joined the company before him and he left the employment 1month earlier than me (I hope this is not an issue?)
I need assistance on the self declared format for the reference/experience letter so I will just get it notarize. The formats I have been seeing around is the type that would be on a company's letterhead

In addition to whatever letter you senior colleague wants to write for you, it will make sense to include your job offer/promotion letter, payslips, etc. I believe these would be on the company's letterhead

Can an affidavit or something similar suffice?

I was going to suggest getting an affidavit for correction/confirmation of date of birth and then go back to your school to rectify it. It's better you do these things yourself, instead of relying on hearsay.

You could also email PEBC ask them whether they will accept an affidavit for correction/confirmation of date of birth.

All the best.

Hello guys, kindly help me here.
I submitted my documents for evaluation to PEBC (rather than WES or IQAS) since I'm a Pharmacist. However, a wrong DOB was included on my transcript, which was filled by my guardian on admission into the university. PEBC has replied that they won't accept the transcript due to the wrong DOB, and information reaching me is that the DOb wouldn't be rectified by my school. All my certificates including WAEC and NYSC bears the correct DOB. Please all suggestions are welcome.

What's the error in the DOB?

Hi guys,
I am new here and would like to take path in this journey to greener pastures..

I have a question please, what are the chances of someone with an evaluation score of 435 to make it to the end and get that golden mail?

Does NYSC count as work experience?
I have internship as a student of 6 months at 4 different companies totaling 2 years, does it count as work experience?

Couple of years ago, the CRS cut off point was around 430. Nowadays, cut off point is around 470. So you should explore ways to increase your CRS score.

What did you score in your IELTS? If CLB 9 or less, try and rewrite IELTS and aim to max it out (CLB10).

What's your highest educational qualification? If a BSc, see if you can do a quick one year MSc.

Can you dedicate some months to learn French and write the TEF?

Mine is confused...
She cheated and fell in love with the guy she cheated with. She made me responsible for the pregnancy the guy gave to her and decided to break up with me to cover up. She successfully broke up with me which tore me apart, I sha moved on quickly because i was seeing massive money at this point so meeting island babes was so easy...
One faithful morning i was driving to work and was at third mainland bridge when a WhatsApp VN entered my phone and alas it was a full confessional msg she sent.. saying she has been seeing the guy longer than i thought and how she made me responsible for the pregnancy because i was more from a comfortable home(this one pain me pass) and how she was willing to break up with the guy and be with me bla bla.... I called her over my house and we talked for over 6hours and she agreed to do a voice recording when she is breaking up with the guy and she sent it to me...

From their recorded conversation, I decoded that she was the one that loves the guy cos the guy doesn't feel sh*t abt her.. the guy adviced her and succumbed to the break up... Do you know this fool borrowed this guy a huge amount of money Anyways i don't blame her for that cos i can never ask her for money but she buy me gifts once in a while...
After the whole bullshit I accepted her back but this time with the intentions of making her pay for what she made me passed through...

Am planning on wasting her time... I moved to the island sef without letting her know(this one pain am) and I've never invited her to this new apartment cos the real babe is back in the country(she went for Msc abroad) and we had planned relocating finally to Canada..
This my "babe" thinks we are still in relationship lol. The real truth that she is dating herself...
I'll waste her time till she gets to 29 before dumping her...

She is now showing me wedding pictures of all her friends.
Always telling me abt marriages...

The real babe is back in the country (she went for Msc abroad).

So you were playing her all the while?

Thank you. So 6i) is not “work experience equivalent to work in Canada? Cos that’s what I’ve always thought.

Yeah.

If you have no work experience in Canada, then 6i should be None or less than 1. You don't get any point for this.

For 6ii, you get the maximum point for work experience outside of Canada if you choose 3 or more years.

Please how is the listening section be in computer based. Can you advise someone to take computer based rather than paper based.

If you type very fast and are very conversant with using a computer/mouse, then I'll advise you take the computer based test.

British Council has several computer based practice test online. The format is exactly the same as the real exam, the only difference is that in the exam, you are given a headphone and it's in a controller environment.

Hello house,

Our application has been approved and CoPR is valid until October. However, I don’t think we can land before then. We are expecting a baby in July. With the current restrictions, the baby might need to be born before we land. Also we are not ready to move permanently because I’m still studying so I’m not sure we can soft land. IRCC advised that if family composition changes then our application will be reevaluated. Does anyone have a similar experience? And does anyone have an idea what the reevaluation be based on?

Thanks

I'm currently evaluating with CES and IQAS. CES takes between 15 - 20 weeks. I don't know how long IQAS takes, but I hear it can be up to 6 months. Not sure.

With CES, you can create a profile, upload your documents, submit an application and pay the fees in less than 2 hours. However, because of the daily limit by IQAS, it's very difficult to create a profile, not to talk of submitting an application and making payment. I spent about 3 months on IQAS before I could make payment.

For both CES and IQAS, you upload your scanned colour copy of degree certificate (some say scan the front and back), international passport and I think marriage/change of name certificate.

After submitting, you are issued a reference number. Then you contact your school to send your transcript to them directly (via email or courrier), and quoting your reference number. Transcript received via email are processed faster than those received via courier.

Thank you very much. Please I have a few more questions.
Between the Iqas and Ces which is faster? how long does it take to get the evaluation report? do I need my transcript from the University or the certificate is enough? Do I evaluate my lawschool certificate too?

From posts I have read, it seems the transcript is sent by the school to the evaluating body, my understanding is that I will need to apply for my transcript and request my school to submit it to Iqas or Ces, please confirm if this is correct?

Sorry for lenghty questions. I am still trying to understand the whole process? Thanks for your assistance

its LLB. So we can use CES right?

At least 2 nairalanders used CES to evaluate their LLB and got a Professional degree evaluation this year 2021.

But IQAS is still the one most people prefer to use because Professional degree is 'guaranteed'

I'm currently evaluating with CES and IQAS to evaluate LLB though.

But really the narration in the bank transfer does not really matter. Just have a proper Gift deed prepared in the right format

Hello good people. Goodevening to you all.
I just started following this thread. I will really appreciate a breakdown of the process for me as I am yet to understand the whole application process. I have tried reading from the beginning, but it seems like too much information to process. Please see below my details:

Age: 31
Degree: LLB, BL
Work Experience : 8 years
Spouse Age: 37
Spouse Degree: B.eng and PGD
Spouse work Experience: 10 years
Kids: 1

I will like to know the following: What are my chances with the above information? what score do I target for Ielts? how do I get extra points from my Spouse? and most importantly, where do I start from, if I want to get an ITA soon? Thank you

Your chances are good but you have to act now!
Be the principal applicant
Evaluate your LLB with IQAS (or CES) to get a Professional degree evaluation
Max the IELTS General (aim for CLB10)

Your spouse
Evaluate his/her B.Eng and PGD with WES
Max out the IELTS

If you both complete these before your next birthday, you'd have a CRS score of around 473

Good day guys,

Please can my wife use CES to evaluate her law degree instead of IQAS because of delays? And also please does CES use ETX, because we just found out Unilorin uses etc. Thanks

Is her law degree an LLM or LLB? If it's an LLM, I'll advise you go with WES cos it's faster.

Some peeps here used CES to evaluate their LLB and received a Professional degree evaluation.

Good afternoon fam.

Please does anyone have an idea how long it takes for BC to remark? Secondly, can I use the present score and later update after the remark?

1. My remark was about 14 working days.
2. Yes you can use your current score and update it should the score increase. The TRF number is the same whether or not your score increases.

Hello everyone, please I have question. If my wife and I created a separate profile this having different scores and it happens that my wife or my own scale through the cut off. How do we proceed from there?

Let me summarize this for you Taiwo
When you create an EE profile, you typically do not submit any document. Based on the info you provided, the system generates a CRS score for you.
Now the person (you or ur spouse) whose CRS score is above the cutoff for that period receives an ITA. After receiving the ITA, you have 60 or 90 days (check the ITA document) to submit your eAPR, and upon submission, you receive an AOR.
U then submit your eAPR and include documents that supports the info you provided in your EE profile, including IELTS, ECA report (WES, IQAS, CES, etc.), PCC, POF, etc.
When you submit your eAPR, you receive an AOR. If your eAPR is good, you receive a PPR and then a COPR. Otherwise, you VO may send you an ADR.

If u have further questions, I suggest you read from Page 1 here: https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

We are yet to write the English test. Looking for a sure plug around Minna Niger state

Taiwo, you don’t need any special plug to pass the IELTS. The secret to passing IELTS is understanding the Exam format and practicing.

All the resources you need have been listed here and many more are on YouTube.

If you dedicate 3 - 4 hours daily practicing the exams (especially Listening and Reading) for 3 weeks, you should get a minimum of CLB9
