you are looking for it because few prominent igbos at that time regarded it as a manuscript of lies and therefore there must be some objectivity and truth in it to you Yorubas.

ISpiksDaTroof: She was undoubtedly born in a well equipped Hospital, she drank cold milk for breakfast, never experienced an electrical blackout in her whole life, the cops protected her and she usually felt safe in her society;so no unnecessary stress for such a young kid, her schools were properly funded and the teachers were adequately equipped and well trained, her parents had a sound education (paid for in most parts by the country) thus had the dignity of having well paying jobs to raise their kids in a proper middle-class environment, nobody ran off with Daddy's pension and anyone that tried wouldve gotten a significant amount of time in Jail and they wouldnt have been "pardoned", shes still growing and her life expectancy is almost double the 53yrs old that the Giant of Africa was boasting about through its Special Assistant to the President on New Media on Twitter the other day...

Even now she still leaves a good life, and will probably do so for the rest of her life and guess what? Daddy, Mommy and their friends did not have to dip their hands into the Treasury and steal everything that was meant for the American people to give her the kind of life every kid deserves. Oh, and Daddy's daily meals is nowhere close to $33,098.11 nor is Mommy building a $1Billion hotel in her home State. Daddy is not scared to declare his assets and Mommy has never been nabbed at the airport for smuggling almost $15million of embezzled Govt funds.

Bottom-line, shes American and is growing up properly (physically and otherwise) like most other American kids her age. Dont be too surprised.

na wa o!! even with all the dirt and erosion in the pictures I couldn't help but notice the solid and modern buildings in the background......all privately owned.
buildings that were shelled just about 50years ago still looking far better than other areas that never heard a single gunshot.
moral of the story;

adorable29: Shame Shame Shame on Nigerian doctors. Some of you lot are selfish greedy and don't have human hearts! Being a doctor is a noble, selfless and an honorable venture! But the Nigerian doctors would rather their patients (especially the poor who can't afford good quality private hospitals) die over money and ego!

This period of Ebola fear when our country needs you, the EXPERTS, the most, you chose to continue your arrogance even tho its a very serious matter which can affect even your loved ones. Abroad, doctors don't go on strike but "take a walk"! They understand how essential their service is. But this days, Nigerian doctors strike more than lecturers!

What ever happened to the oaths you took to save lives....

Please the upcoming generation of youths should not just fill medcine in jamb form cos they want to be called "doctors". Being a doctor comes with the passion to save lives and not just money money money!

Am really pissed off right now. Abeg you people should resume to help curtail this scourge at least and after it is controlled, you can go back to your incessant strikes!
grin grin grin.....tell your government to do the right thing madam.

abroad, doctors don't strike because they are paid well, work in well equipped hospitals and don't have a government that doesn't keep to agreements.
do you know one of the doctors in Lagos who is infected is AT HOME. he quarantined himself. he tried calling the emergency numbers. those calls were not answered so he quickly informed us ,his colleagues, on Facebook that he's getting weaker and has not been given appropriate care.
he is the kind of doctor Nigerians love so much but alas he's been abandoned to face his wahala alone.

please we are creating awareness of his situation anyway we can.

please if you can lend your voice on Twitter.thanks

you are the perfect example that shows that many Nigerians are indeed d.umb and CANNOT ask for accountability from their leaders.

1234kkkk: Ordinary diagnose they can't do, Chief Gani Fawehenmi was wrongly diagnosed by these dregs Nigerians Doctors of pneumonia and treated for the same ailment at LUTH. After two years ,a London Hospital diagnosed him of cancer. The only thing they can diagnose is increment in call duty allowance, increment in shift allowance, increment in dress allowance and to fight other medical workers as if they are special. After all, they equally patronize India for medical treatment. They should continue with the strike, at least their private hospitals are benefiting from it.

mployer: I wasn't speaking on the profession, I was speaking on general ethics of sensible humanity.
who picks a fight with his spouse when their house is on fire? How responsible will you rate such a man?
I will keep saying it, this is the height of irresponsibility on the part of doctors.
the health professionals that have died in Lagos fighting this Ebola scourge died in vain.
your country has no plan to tackle this problem.
your president is in the US snapping pictures while his country burns.
none of our leaders want to take responsibility for this sad situation.
as usual they want to make their doctors scape goats.
what is the miracle you expect from doctors in tackling Ebola??
all we will get in coming weeks are health professionals dropping dead like flies all on 5,000 naira hazard allowance.
your government is full of jokers.
Health › Re: NMA Strike Update!!! by phantom(op): 8:11am On Aug 07, 2014
unfortunately obembe had given a press conference yesterday to announce the strike had been called off before he was disciplined with his NOC.

meanwhile the strike continues.......
they should as a matter of fact urgently announce the strike is ongoing.

never underestimate the power of an old and deeply materialistic man heading an association.
Health › NMA Strike Update!!! by phantom(op): 12:08am On Aug 07, 2014
rising from the delegates meeting, dr obembe singlehandedly called of the strike in connivance with his NOC.
the required one week notice before calling a delegates meeting was violated as this meeting was called in under two days.
in the notice of meeting sent to delegates, the corrupt chairman obembe and his NOC refused to give the venue of the meeting and it was fixed for 8pm!

consequently dr obembe and his NOC have been impeached!!!
Lagos NMA chairman is now in charge.

aluta continua..........

lokoloko84: The truth is that an average Nigerian is greedy and selfish using every opportunity to justify their shameless greed. Of course the people are ignorant about what goes on around them.

Have you seen the reasons why they are on strike? And save me all those crap, the most intelligent people working hard in medicine are the researchers in various fields working 24 hours round the clock to synthesise drugs and vaccines, not those who just prescribe drugs to patients, feeling that they are demigods.

The world should be thankful to these scientists in pharmaceutical companies in sensible countries because without them, there would have been no human existence.
your myopia is legendary! no time to educate you

kel4soft: Seems you are a doctor? That asked, what is the situation like in UPTH?

We need to pray to which ever God we serve, cos this govt that always looks for who to blame don't have the capacity to arrest the situation. This is an excerpt from someone's comment on a health section thread. I will soon acknowledge it very soon.

When SARS (Severe acute respiratory syndrome) broke
out between November 2002 and July 2003, we saw how
the authorities of China and Hong Kong managed the
whole situation. They did not blame anybody, they just
went to work and were successful in containing it even
though it claimed 775 lives and affected over 8,000
people. Their governments funded their local scientists
and worked with scientists all over the world. When the
bird (avian) influenza also broke out, we saw how the
various nations reacted, no one blamed anybody.
When MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome
coronavirus) broke out in Saudi Arabia affecting Qatar,
Malaysia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman,
Algeria, Bangladesh, the Philippines, the United Kingdom,
and the United States, all the various governments
worked together to battle the resistant strain and no one
blamed anyone until the situation was brought under
control. When polio vaccine was brought to Nigeria,
Nigerians were blaming the West. When ebola broke out
in Nigeria, Nigerians are blaming the West. I think we
should also blame the West for our lack of electricity, or
what do you think? Since it is the West that has been
voting for and electing our leaders since 1999.
Are people not aware of the fact that from the beginning
of time, epidemics and pandemics of diseases have
always been with us? I just wonder why some people
keep saying this is the end times...lol! Diseases and
outbreaks have been with humanity right from day one.
My hand is paining me, I've been typing since morning,
who do you think I should blame?'
if you ask me,the strike is a blessing in disguise. if we were working, the Liberian man would have presented at luth or lasuth, thereby infecting a good number of patients and health workers.

kel...the situation is pathetic. believe me when I say your government has no plan on how to tackle this problem.
even the hazmat suits I can assure you are not even there.
they want doctors to call of their strike and wage a war they are not prepared for with 5,000 naira hazard allowance per month. laughable!!
lecturers and cleaners in federal ministries go home with a hazard allowance of 30,000 naira monthly.
are we not joking in this country?

danot1030: u seem not to understand, the implication of the analysis above is that there is higher cost of living at Aba than Lagos. Beside get the fact right not Aba as solo but Aba join with Port-Hacourt together. The over all implications is that Lagos might witness a higher rate of migration from these areas
I understand where you are going to but you are wrong. the difference in per capita spending cannot be due to price difference of goods alone.
