See wisdom. The problem isn't the unavailability of ideas for a better Nigeria. The problem is the willingness to see it through and do what is right. The willingness is nonexistent LandMann: The confab report will not solve our security challenges.
The government needs to urgently create a national security database.
Each police station should be equipped with data collection facility, laptop and finger print scanner at the least... all connected to the national security database.
Any body residing in Nigeria should compulsory go and report and register at the nearest police station covering their area of residence... Once you change address, you must update the information at the nearest police station.
From there things can start to improve.
Then make it compulsory for all house owners along major streets and roads and highways to install at least 4 cctv outside their house facing all corners or face heavy taxes... The cctv should be accessible online as well.
Confab report that was doctored to create more political offices and positions won't solve any security challenge.

I find it very difficult to believe that Nigeria have a sitting President, considering he had military ties is even more mind boggling. How can all of these be happening weekly for years and no concrete thing has been done either through dialogue or actions. I can bet my left ball if nothing is done to curb this menace, if they are allowed to thrive and grow in numbers and there’s no one left to attack, they will definitely shift to the rest of us living almost peacefully in the South and other parts of this contraption. The parallel government this administration and other administrations past have been trying to dodge for decades will eventually burst up in their elite faces.
You can’t rule a country where too many people have powers... no work, no food, no portable water, no road, no light, education and health on free fall, yet person nor fit sleep on empty stomach for he house again without the fear of bandits and the rest of them, even after escaping all of the troubles, you can’t escape the police; the NPF never disappoints. President Buhari please grow some balls and take charge of your office for once. All lives matter |

Health › Re: Cranberry Juice And Kidney Cure (must Read) by Pharovo(m): 8:21pm On May 04, 2020 |
Very educative read... Its obvious cranberries are not grown in Nigeria. Where can i get my hands on cranberry juice in Nigeria and for how much? healthisVital: Your urinary tract is a complex system that includes your kidneys, the ureters, (narrow tubes through which urine flows from the kidneys into the bladder) the bladder where urine is stored, two sphincter muscles that keep urine from leaking out of the bladder and the urethra through which urine is discharged from the body. Together, they work to remove waste from your body in the form of urine. The hardest-working part of the system is your kidneys. Many people have problems with their urinary systems, most often from infections. Have you ever had a urinary tract infection (UTI)? If so, you are one of the millions of people who visit the doctor each year with this complaint. Perhaps your doctor explained to you that urinary tract infections generally start with bacteria (germs). E. coli, a bacteria often found in the bowel, can make its way into the urinary system and cause infection. So can Chlamydia, a form of bacteria that can be sexually transmitted. If you experience recurring urinary tract infections, you'll want to do everything you can to protect yourself against another round of infection. Taking the simple step of drinking cranberry juice every day may help you avoid the discomfort of another urinary tract infection. Cranberries and kidney health Although cranberries may make you think of holiday dinners, many people have long believed that cranberry juice can help keep your urinary system healthy. Today there is medical research that backs up the link between cranberries and kidney health. The idea of using cranberries to fight illness and infection goes back hundreds of years. Native Americans used cranberries for medicinal remedies, including those for bladder and kidney problems. In the 1600s, American settlers found many uses for the fruit. Cranberries, along with leaves from the cranberry plant, were used for treatment of fever, mumps, swollen glands, digestive tract ailments and liver conditions. They were also made into a dressing and applied to wounds to help them heal. In the early days of the United States, folks used cranberries to help prevent scurvy, a condition caused by lack of vitamin C. Ships' captains were sure to bring along plenty of cranberries to keep their sailors healthy while they were out at sea. How cranberries help kidneys and prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs) How can a little berry pack such a big health punch? Modern-day researchers set out to find out. After studying the effect that cranberries can have on the body, they found that people who drink cranberry juice have fewer urinary tract infections than people who don't drink it. Frequent and untreated urinary tract infections may lead to infection in the kidneys. Chronic kidney infection is a risk factor for chronic kidney disease. One way that cranberry juice helps prevent urinary tract infections is by making urine more acidic. Because bacteria grow best in alkaline environments, the acid helps keep bacteria from thriving. But after studying the effects of cranberry on the body for more than 20 years, researchers at the Weizman Institute of Science and Tel Aviv University found another way that cranberries can be good for kidneys and urinary health: they prevent bacteria from attaching to the wall of the bladder. This means that infection cannot stick around inside your body. In addition to preventing urinary tract infections, researchers point out that cranberry juice has properties that can help you fight other ailments as well. These include flu, gastric ulcers and even cavities in your teeth. Who knew that drinking this tasty juice could do your body so much good! Quick facts about cranberries The cranberry is one of only a few fruits native to North America Its name came from the Pilgrims, who called it a craneberry, because the fruit’s blossom reminded them of the shape of the head and neck of a crane. The Iroquois and Cherokee tribes believed the cranberry to be a symbol of peace and friendship. Cranberries are too tart to be eaten raw. Raw cranberries are low in calories and potassium (about 47 calories and 80 mg potassium per cup). Cranberries have no fat and no sodium, but plenty of fiber and vitamin C. Summary Modern research has shown what many people have long suspected: cranberry juice can help support your kidney health, especially when it comes to the urinary system. With plenty of vitamin C and being low in potassium, cranberries are also a recommended fruit in the kidney diet. |

OP your idea is really good considering the situation of our country; where people earn what they eat on a daily basis. Even for those that may have stocked-up to survive the 2 weeks lockdown, what happens to them after the 2 weeks and their ration runs out. Except there is a vaccine, the virus is not going to disappear in 2 week thus people will come out.
This lockdown is simply choosing between death (Covid 19) and death (Hunger). This is only the second day of lockdown in Delta state and people have started opening back their shops, commercial transportation is back on. Reason is they don’t want to die of hunger.
Let’s hope a cure comes soon, else it’s only your immune system that will save you because with the way this country is set up 85% of the populace will get infected. Shikena |

Politics › Re: Coronavirus: Concerns As Tinubu Fails To Self-isolate After UK Trip by Pharovo(m): 10:50am On Mar 26, 2020 |
You’re a clever franchasng: All the rich and affluent Nigerians should be mandated to make a donation to help poor Nigerians and to help Nigeria recover from the effects of this global pandemic when the pandemic is over very soon.
Dangote ought to donate at least $1billion to Nigerians at this perilous time, because the money he has today is Nigerian peoples' commonwealth past and present Nigerian leaders entrusted with him through various policies (FOREX waivers, tax waivers, monopoly, etc), direct and indirect contracts. Dangote should make that donation now because time is running out, and he should never dare make the donation to Kano state or Northeast or Northwest like he always do because his wealth came from Nigerians, especially from Niger Delta
1.) Dangote - $1billion
2.) Otedola - $50million
3.) Cosmos Maduka - $20million
4.) Arthur Eze - $10million
5.) Tony Elumelu - $60million
6.) Jim Ovia - $10million
7.) Bola Tinubu - $40million
8.) Leo Stan Eke - $10million
9.) Mrs Alakija - $60million
10.) Mohammed Indimi - $60million
and the list continues like that......
this is what they must do, FG should setup a committee to start the donation asap, because Nigeria need the fund to stimulate the economy back to normal after this whole global pandemic if not, Nigeria's economy will crumble after the pandemic is over and $ may rise to $1 = NGN700.
NOTE: Nigerians should not panic much because coronavirus is a virus that thrive in mostly cold weather and climate regions. Nigeria being a tropical country with warm weather will not witness a wide spread and death like other countries. If you ever contract the virus, stay calm, make sure you take hot shower everyday you return back to your home.
Drink more of hot drinks, warm water and do away with cold drinks and cold food. Eat your meals when hot.
Boil clean water and add some menthol or balm in the water and inhale through your nostrils everyday.
Stop using AC in your car or at home, go out and take sunlight to warm your body. What has been saving Nigerians is our warm weather not any precaution. Stay calm, coronavirus will soon be over, we should be focusing on how to handle the economy recession that will follow after this global pandemic, because coronavirus will soon go!! |
