Because of the British contraption called Nigeria a Jukun man gets an oil bloc from a Kanuri man in Ijawland, to the detriment of Ijaw people!

Nigeria has been insensitive towards ethnic nations and that is why it is increasingly hated.

If the elites keep on pretending these ethnic and religious differences don't exist Nigeria will collapse suddenly.

It would be like a mix of Yugoslavia, Rwanda and D.R. Congo.

We pray a solution is found before it gets to that!

Ironically that same Kanuri man killed an Ogoni man because he questioned Nigeria's relationship with his Ogoni people.

Buhari was the primary reason COVID 19 got into Nigeria. He should act NOW before it is too late.

It would be no surprise if he refuses to act until it is late. The only thing they act promptly on is murdering unarmed civilians.

....and Biden "loves" Black people? What is wrong with Black people?
How do people love you when all you practice is self hate or hatred for other groups?

Nobody owes Black people love, Black owe themselves love and just like every other group, they should watch out for their interests.

If you understand what is going on you would know why Trump doesn't want Okonjo-Iweala. It is all about China!

Despite the Chinese and South Koreans being of the same race they don't share the same interests.

Somebody said Okonjo-Iweala has no experience, that's not true! When it comes to international exposure and experience she is way ahead of the Korean candidate.

More so, the position helps facilitate negotiations between different countries or trade blocs. The member countries will still be at the driving seat of deliberations.
Travel › Re: Should I Invest In Nigeria Or Wait Until I Get A Permanent Stay In Abroad? by PHijo(m): 4:06pm On Dec 14, 2020
Basalt:
Goodmorning Ladies and Gentlemen.
I am Basalt by name and I came to Germany last year(2019) October for my MSc studies with a little amount of Money and a partially borrowed block account from my inlaw (his money and my money).
On arrival in Germany, I took only a few courses and got a job outside my city and also got a mini-job. I did all my monthly expenses from my Mini job and used my main job to completely pay back my debt within a few months of arrival.

Now, that's not the discussion at hand.
I need advice especially from people who have lived abroad or have many years of experience in life.
My visa still counts till 2022 and I can even extend it if I don't finish my studies by then.
According to German policy, once you graduate from the University, you will be given 18 months to get a professional job or return back to your country.
Returning back to Nigeria is totally out of my plan at least for now because I came from a very poor family without any job connection and I am really enjoying Europe.
I plan to buy land or start building a house (I saved millions of naira and will even save more as time goes) but my friend who is also a student here discouraged me against that saying that my root is not yet fixed abroad that I should wait and continue investing in myself and undergoing professional training until I get permanent residency before investing. That I should always keep saving because it is not certain that I will get a professional job after graduation since my course is not in Information Technology which is currently booming in Germany. That even if I don't get a job, I can use the money to migrate to Canada or any other country of my choice.
He asked What if you invest the money now and don't get a job after graduation, what will you do after the 18 months of post graduation visa since you don't have any backup from home who will help you out financially.

What do you guys think. I need opinions
Your friend is correct! You may need funds if you will have to leave Germany for another country. Most countries ask for proof of funds. Even if they don't ask , you would need money to survive.

What skills would be needed in Germany or elsewhere that is related to your field of study? These are the questions you should ask yourself.

Also have it in mind that the Naira has lost over 60 percent of her value since 2015 and there are no signs the situation would improve anytime soon. If you have to generate passive income streams in Nigeria you would have to avoid things that are capital intensive. Real estate is capital intensive and the return on investment is low and slow.

The issue of taxation for companies with nationwide branches should be revisited.
All of these banks pay federal taxes, they're still expected to pay state taxes, making it double taxation. I am not a tax expert, but that doesn't seem fair... These are the things that drive the cost of transaction upwards and customers won't understand.
In other climes people county, state and national taxes. The problem with Nigeria is that the so called federal government has stolen local resources and is still taking most of the taxes states or LGAs should be taking.

Lagos taxes the banks and their work force more than Akwa Ibom or any other state does.

They are not overcharging clients because of taxes, they are doing that because they failed in their core responsibility as financial institutions.

I am not telling you I supported Nnamdi Azikiwes foolish one nigeria stand nor aguuiy ironsi's illiterate unitary decree.
I agree that those igbo men didn't do well but another igbo man by name Ojukwu corrected the anomalies with "aburi accord" and forged a way forward which would have benefited everybody but you all out of hatred for the igbos decided to fight against it, you didn't know that you were fighting against Nigeria's progress.

See where we are today since the igbos left Nigeria for you people to manage since 1970.

The killings buratai is talking about includes kidnapping and armed robbery which is as a result of your guys not having job.
My guy by the kind of wealth in your place your people supposed to be enjoying like the Saudis and Kuwait people.

If igbos pillage you is it not better than fulani pillaging?
At least the wealth will remain in this our region. No igbo man will kill you because of religion the way fulanis do to you when you go to their side either for NYSC or other things even though it's your money that was used to develop that far sokoto region they will still kill you.

God joined you with us and we also didn't ask to be joined to be one south east.
Hope you know that any ship or plane coming to eastern Nigeria their compass will read SE because there is nothing like south south in any geography in the world or on any compass

That means God made us neighbors, it's you people that invited the fulanis to come and save you from us and today they weakened us and can treat either of us anyhow they like.
The same thing afonja did against the ibadan empire that made fulanis kill him

Every Nigerian is either in this triangle WAZOBIA.
You can only be free from it when you have ur own country

We praise God. Go to churches all across Nigeria and see igbo songs dominate.
Igbos have really done justice to Christian songs in Nigeria. God will never forget us

You talking about baby factory and co.
This is earth and not heaven so earthly crimes must surface from every tribe, no tribe is 100% holy including Israel and that didn't stop God from fighting for them

Aguiyi ironsi did a mistake which Ojukwu corrected it and you people prefer ironsis restructuring and fought for it.
Igbo man never fought to keep ironsis restructuring its you people that fought to keep it so stop blaming the igbos
We didn't go to the Fulani to save us from the Igbos, the Middle Belt came to us( Niger Delta) and said that thing Ojukwu was bent on preventing, we are here to work with you to achieve it and we accepted their offer.

The Aburi accord was not a solution to Nigeria's problems.

The states created solved the existing problems Nnamdi Azikiwe and Aguiyi-Ironsi were largely responsible for. Ojukwu created problems and the problems he created are what Fulani benefit from till date.

Your statement that Igbo would have been better than their Fulani cousins is akin to saying that Hitler would have been better than Mussolini!

Both had the same ideology. In geography they have South, North, East and West. We belong to the South, Igbo don't belong to the South so God did not put us together. You Igbo have always tried to attach yourselves to us the way Ozo refused to let Nengi have her peace.

So if it is established that Jaja is an Igbo Man you will now agree that Opobo people are igbos.
I just don't know how to download internet on Nairaland. I would have shown you. All the internet stories including British archives recognize him as an Igbo man

If ijaw is to have a country of its own today will you allow an opobo/bonny man bearing chukwuma Chima to rule you? Wouldn't you start reminding them of their igbo origin for political gains.
Wouldn't you people marginalize them? Will they ever have a chance with you people given their minority status against the larger ijaw names like
Ayakurumo, Dobara, Iniye, Fezia etc

If all the answers are No.
Why is it that nobody bearing Chima or chinedu has ever become the president of the IYC. - ijaw youth council.

King Jaja founded opobo - that is the general recognized term and his family is the royal family there till date.
Jaja was the king of opobo and was never known with the title of amanyabo. You people want the place to look and sound ijaw but you can never remove the igboness from them.

You people are just looking for who to marginalise

Your English comparison of names with igbo names is flawed

English colonized most of the world so the world over bear their names its not the same for the igbos. We have English names on our streets like Victoria Island, George IV Street, Douglas road, bourdillion road, Cameron road etc

Anybody bearing igbo names is an Igbo because the world don't bear igbo names apart from the igbos and the igbos didn't colonize anybody so we don't have chukwuma street in London or Chima Avenue in America

So any opobo indigene or bonny indigene bearing igbo name is an Igbo because that is our distinct identity
1.To start with, if one would use your logic Jaja never had an Igbo name, his was Ijaw.

2.Jaja did find a land, he and other Ijaw chieves migrated from one Ijaw island to another Ijaw island.

3.That cancels Igbos when it comes to the story of Opobo either as slaves or anything else.

4. America, Colombia and Brazil have a higher concentration of descendants of Igbo slaves than anywhere in West Africa, when you successfully lay claims to those places you can bring your discussion to West Africa.

5. Igbos never had kings, the concept of a community was forced on them by the British through the warrant chief system so Igbo couldn't have in any way played a role in the establishment of Opobo.

6. The warrant chief system only came into existence when several monarchs or chieves in the Niger Delta were banished, killed or deposed. The vacuum that was created enabled the Europeans to organize you Igbos for the first time in your history, yet it was insufficient to the point they had to put a hold on their plans.

7. Chinedu, Chukwuma etc are a figment of your imagination. They don't exist in Opobo or anywhere else in Ijawland. Igbos are fond of appropriating other people's culture to themselves. Whatever looks like a similarity today is the result of a deliberate and concerted effort by Igbos to steal peoples cultures and present it as theirs. If I choose to I can list up to 10 things the Igbo have tried to steal in the last 40 years.

8. Jaja was the amayanabo Opobo and till date the kings of Opobo are referred to as amayanabo.

9. In case you don't know the founding father of INC-Ijaw National Congress is from Bonny. A Chinedu or Chukwuemeka cannot be an IYC or INC president because it is not and will not be an extension of Ohaneze ndi Igbo, IPOB or MASSOB. They are organisations for Ijaw people and the Ibani are duly represented in all Ijaw organisations.

10. There are no such archives, there are only Igbo edited wikipedia pages with such false claims. No serious academic has ever referred to Jaja as Igbo and only IPOB pamphlets refer to Rivers Ijaws as Igbo.

Penaldoooo fan boys are too insecure grin. Messi remains the GOAT and Penaldooo remains a penalty opportunist. 750 goals scored, maybe 600 were penalties, penalties won by other players grin grin grin

This is the stats for the match:

Christiane Ronaldo didn't play that match, that's the difference. If he did, people would have talked a lot about it.

Possession: 59 / 41% Barca wins
Shots on target: 7 / 4 Barca wins
Shots missed: 10 / 4 Barca wins
Corners: 5 / 1 Barca wins
Goalkeeper saves: 1 / 7 Juventus wins

Barca had more shots both on target and off target = made Barca more attempts to score. But they were just unlucky yesterday night, plus their goalkeeper was just fumbling but Juventus goalkeeper did very well and saved them. Penaldooo did NOTHING special in that match. Mtchwwwww grin

Hmnm. Foolish demand
You demanded to be separated from the igbos and be handed over to the illiterate fulani jihadists in far away sokoto. RUGA is waiting for you.

Assuming the igbos controlled your land 50%, the herdsmen fulanis are now controlling it 90%.thats why you are crying every day for resource control and pay tax before you can go to your farms
The fulanis even "mumufied" you people by giving you "mai guard" contract to guide pipelines siphoning oil from your land to sokoto and Niger Republic while they occupy all the juicy positions in NNPC
They will be paying you peanuts from the money made from your land while you are meant to remain grateful to them
Its just like somebody that stole your shirt, when you complain he will remove one botton from the shirt and give you to shut your mouth.

You said Nigerian army learnt from the igbos, can you relate to me any situation where the igbos has ever wiped out a whole community of Ijaws like your fulani saviors did to you in odi.

Even if it happened, I thought the illiterate fulanis were to save you and not wipe out your generations when you try to resist them. You people are in a deeper shit. Better go and pay your tax to your fulani saviors before you go to the farm while you await RUGA and water resources bill to take over all your waters.

What is the population of the Ijaws that you say they are not minorities.
Nigeria can broadly be grouped into three tribes of which you people are grouped under igbos. When they are attacking igbos in the north, you people are not spared

Igbos did nothing against Nigeria other than to be on their own as the SE or implement aburi accord as agreed and signed by all
Igbo blood killed for nothing is crying to God and that is why Nigeria is in shambles, the Master minder, the north is suffering killings every day.
You suppose know that God must revenge for us because we have the largest concentration of Christianity in Nigeria praising God every day with different Christian songs

Everybody is shouting restructuring.
This is the same restructuring they foolishly fought against but shame will not allow them apologize to the igbos as did the north central.

You people can continue playing the ostrich, it's only the truth for the igbos can save nigeria.
Buratai has asked you to wait for another 20 years of suffering and killings.
We never asked to be with anybody! We are content being on our own. It is you leeches in Nigeria that are imposing yourselves on us.

The Fulani are a creation of Igbo stupidity and greed, without you there would be no Fulani today.

Chief Harold Dappa Biriye, a chief from Bonny pushed for the creation of an Ijaw region that would have included Ijaw from the Western and Eastern region. Chief Awolowo was initially for that idea. It was your kinsman, Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe who opposed the creation of an Ijaw region. In 1966 when Major Boro declared the Niger Delta republic it was two Igbos, Aguiyi- Ironsi and Ojukwu who fought against his quest. Ironically a few months later when states were created and we would have been separated from you Igbos, the same Ojukwu because he didn't want to see the Ijaws free from Igbo pillage and looting declared Biafra. To show that the Ojukwu war wasn't about the killing of Igbos he invaded territories that were neither Igbo or under the defunct eastern region where he was governor.

The reason we are talking about resource control today is because at some point in time Gowon was advised to suspend the derivation principle. Not long after that was done Ojukwu abandoned Biafra!

Go and read senator George Sekibo's memoir. He talked about some of your war crimes. Kelson Harrison also wrote on his horrible experience under Biafran occupation.

Aguiyi- Ironsi's restructuring is what the Fulani enjoy today.

Is it Akuzu,Otokoto, Okija or Baby factory kind of 'Christianity'?

If God will require blood it is that of the Ijaw and other Niger Deltans that was shed by Biafra and Nigeria.

Grouped by who under Igbo? Nobody grouped us under Igbo, it is Igbos that have been trying to promote that false narrative.

That the Igbo happened to be majority in the defunct eastern region doesn't mean Ijaw are minorities in Nigeria. Our people were split between the east and west due to Nnamdi Azikiwe's selfish agenda.

There's nothing wrong with people being minorities except in societies people just steal from others based on their numbers.

The Fulani you fear are even smaller than many of the smaller groups in the Niger Delta.

As if the killings Buratai is talking about happens in my area!

By God's grace it will NEVER come to our place.

The evidence that Jaja is igbo is scattered everywhere on the net. It's not even a subject of debate to those that know history
If you have freed him as a slave then he is free indeed. You can't treat him as such any longer
Even if you say that the land belongs to Ijaws and has been agreed by the fore fathers and given to him and his descendants who still occupy the place till date why are you people still dragging what has been given out through agreements and concessions hundreds of years ago.

Jaja family will continue to occupy it forever and they are igbos with igbo names as chika, chinedu, Chima.
The Jajas of igbo origin has come to stay.
If somebody introduces himself to you that his name is Chima from opobo and ijaw by tribe. Wouldn't you be confused

You have given opobo out to the Jajas and its forever.
You didn't rent it out to them. It was given to him because he fulfilled the criteria
You can't be dragging what has been conceded
Even if you change the name of the kingship to amanayabo it doesn't change the Jajas to ijaw tribe. Igbo is the lingua franca in the Palace
which is the most important thing.

The fulanis named ilorin with an emir instead of an oba. That has not made ilorin to now be a fulani town. It's still Yoruba
People don't convert from one tribe to another. You are still who you are.

Please try and find out through the net where Jaja originates from. He is igbo
Like I have always maintained, there is no evidence he was Igbo. That was based on hearsay. The only evidence we have is that Chief Jumbo jumbogha, later known as king Jaja left Bonny as an Ijaw man from the grand Bonny(Ibani) kingdom with many sons and daughters of Bonny to form Opubo ama( widely known as Opobo).

The land Opobo was founded was not given to Jaja, it was given to Ijaw people by other Ijaw people. Jaja's known origin is Bonny island.

Your Ilorin comparison is so flawed!

The Fulani came to a city already inhabited by Yoruba people. If you had shame you will keep quiet! The fact you sold your people into slavery should be a thing of shame. Why don't you go and lay claims to Colombia, Brazil, America etc? I think Igbo slaves were sold there too!

Find out on the net where Kunta Kinte originated from! Madness!!! You want to educate me on my history? Are you okay?

You answer names like Romanus, Vernacius, John, Callistus, Bernard etc. Does that make you Igbo Latin or English?

From the traditional institutions to names in Opobo, it is all in Ibani dialect of the Ijaw language.

The traditional title of kings in Bonny since the days of king Jaja has been amayanabo and it will always remain that way, 150 years of Ijaw tradition. It happens to be one of the youngest Ijaw city states.
