For the Poster and any other person that cares

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.

In his opening address he said,
“We can’t keep Christians from going to church. We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can’t even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their Savior.
“Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken.
“So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don’t have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.”
The devil continued, “This is what I want you to do:
“Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!”
“How shall we do this?” his demons shouted.
“Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,” he answered.
“Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow.”
“Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles.”
“Keep them from spending time with their children. As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!”
“Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice.”
“Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive; to keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly.”
“This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ.”
“Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers.”
“Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day.”
“Invade their driving moments with billboards.”
“Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes.”
“Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what’s important, and they’ll become dissatisfied with their wives.”
“Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night. Give them headaches, too! If they don’t give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere.”
“That will fragment their families quickly!”
“Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas.”
“Give them an Easter bunny so they won’t talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death.”
“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted.”
“Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God’s creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead.”
“Keep them busy, busy, busy!”
“And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences.”
“Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus.”
“Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause.”
“It will work! It will work!”
It was quite a plan!
The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there. Having little time for their God or their families. Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives.
I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?
You be the judge!!!!!

This is a question that occured to me in the course of a discussion with someone today and truely, am not sure of my own answer. I argued that Man's greatest invention is MONEY cos to the best of my understanding, it has transformed the course of human existence infact the Bible described the love of it as the root of all evil.
Pls what do you think is man's greatest invention and why?

The noise will last for few days after which we will hear nothing about it again, for those who are still interested in the protest, you can gather at Laterrain assembly for continuation bt note that the comedy and entertainment usually withness has been withdrawn.

Has it not been a complete waste of 6 workable days? Nigeria is back to the corruption arena cos the road to its removal is too hard.

Police arrest suspect in Borno Gov’s Lodge

THE Police appear to have recorded a breakthrough in their investigation of the Christmas Day bombing of St.Theresa's Catholic Church, Madalla, near Abuja.

They arrested yesterday a man suspected to be the mastermind of the attack in which over 40 people died. The Islamic Sect,Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the bombing.

His arrest was effected in an unlikely place:a Governor's Lodge-that of Borno State in Abuja.

The suspect, Kabir Sokoto, was picked up in the company of a serving military officer whose name was not immediately disclosed.

The duo were being quizzed, sources told The Nation last night.

Also facing police inquisition in Abuja are two men accused of attempting to smuggle arms into Nigeria from Ghana.

Scores of worshippers and passers-by were injured in the Madalla bomb blast. Some of them are still receiving treatment in 12 hospitals in Abuja , Madalla, Suleija, Zuba, Kwamba and Kubwa.

Investigation by our correspondent confirmed that Kabir Sokoto was arrested at the Borno Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro District after weeks of trailing him .

It was gathered that the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Hafiz Ringim, has briefed President Goodluck Jonathan on the breakthrough.

A reliable police source said: “Following a tip-off, the suspect was arrested early on Saturday morning while in hiding at the Liaison Office in Abuja . He was said to be in transit to London .

“For weeks, we have been working on clues that the suspect was one of the masterminds of the Christmas Day bombing.

“He is being interrogated by a special team of senior officers on how St. Theresa’s Catholic Church bombing was perpetrated.

“The interrogation may also involve other security agencies since a serving military officer was with him when he was picked up.

“The IGP has submitted a preliminary brief to President Goodluck Jonathan on the latest arrest. The suspects are being kept in a police detention facility.

Another reliable source said: “The suspect left Maiduguri on Friday via Kaduna . On getting to Kaduna , he sought the assistance of a military officer to provide him escort to Abuja to catch a flight to London . “Aware that the security agencies had been on his trail, he could not get a safe place to sleep. He decided to go to Borno Governor’s Lodge to seek assistance to sleep overnight as an indigene of the state.

“Oblivious to the fact that he was a Boko Haram member, the Permanent Secretary in charge of the lodge decided to be magnanimous to give him free accommodation for a night. “But intelligence agents trailing the suspect on the phone succeeded in tracing him to the lodge through a GPRS device.

“This led to the storming of the Lodge in the early hours of Saturday leading to the arrest of the serving military officer and some staff on duty. “But after interaction with the staff of the Lodge, they were released by the police on bail pending the conclusion of a comprehensive investigation.”

A police source Saturday said Force Criminal Investigation Department is already handling the quizzing of the suspects.”

Kabir's arrest came against the backdrop of police investigation of a serving governor in one of the northern states over alleged sponsorship of Boko Haram.

Security agencies have already raised a panel to confront him with the facts at their disposal.

But he is said to be evading contact with security operatives as he keeps citing one official engagement or the other.

Several other top politicians from the north are also said to be under security watch over their relationship with the group.

Some of them have reportedly fled to Niger Republic and Chad.

It was gathered in Abuja that security reports have indicted the governor for having a "deep" relationship with Boko Haram.

Only his immunity has prevented the security agencies from arresting him.

However, they are keen on "interacting" with him with a view to laying the facts before him.

Said a source familiar with the issue: "The essence of the coming interaction is to unmask those sponsoring the sect. The said governor is already aware and he has been moving here and there including some trips to Niger Republic and Chad.

"As a result of the immunity he enjoys,he cannot be directly arrested. But all the details are being assembled and security committee has been constituted to confront him with such details. "Once the evidence is confirmed as incontrovertible, further steps can then be taken to ensure prosecution in line with treason and such charges.

An inter-agency committee may also interrogate the politicians suspected of romancing with Boko Haram. A list of the affected persons has already been compiled for further action.

Meanwhile, two Nigerians out of the five suspects arrested in connection with a truckload of arms and ammunition in Ghana have been flown to Abuja for interrogation. Accra Regional Police Officer, Rose Atinga had last Wednesday confirmed the interception of a truck with Coca-Cola inscription loaded with pump action guns, double-barrel guns and a large quantity of cartridges.

Meanwhile, I hope we know the effects of shutting down all our facilities. Even nations at war still keep up production. If we shut down, oil prices will take a slight jump. USA, Europe, etc (who are very proactive and I can bet, already have a backup plan) will find alternatives. Saudi will open more valves and Angola will also smile to the bank.

Back here the story will be different. In a minute or 2, Power from gas turbines will be knocked off the grid (Gas is not stored for power supply). Within a week, refineries will shut down and most of us will not be able to move more than 10km from our homes. Telecom companies will run out of supply and Pinging shall cease. NL will be inhabited by all except Nigerians in Nigeria. Etc etc.
But guess who gains? The NIGER DELTA! The life span of her God-given resource will be elongated for a few days probably into the time when the resource will be better managed for their benefits or better still, when Niger Delta will manage ALL of her resources by herself!
Anyway, I don't see this happening anytime soon. But if it does, be ready for the worst!

NLC Vs. FGN: First half ended goal-less. It was tension-soaked as both sides brought in different play formations - the referee NASS issued 2 red cards to FGN, 5 corner kicks & 1 penalty, but no goals recorded. FGN has exhausted its reserve players while NLC reserve bench is packed full with both foreign and home based players. We do not know how the second half will look like, but it seems FGN is relying on luck and praying that NLC will run out of players so that it can go for the kill while NLC head coach says his boys are playing according to instructions, but will likely make some few changes and bring in the hit-man PENGASSAN, an international striker. The second half looks good and we expect to see at least a goal scored. Meanwhile, we will take some commercials break and return for the second half soon
Its unfortunate that the hitman; PENGASSAN was threatened by some area boys on his way to the match, he has gone into hiding. lets see how this extra time ends, I hope my team will not miss the legs if they miss the ball.

merengue:
Why you non-Igbos are surprised about this is beyond me, the Igbos are by nature a greedy, avaricious lot who see in every situation an opportunity to make money even at the expense of their own flesh and blood (they are dying like flies in the North, yet their kin in Wuse Market were screaming that they like subsidy removal). The reasons being adduced for not joining the strike are so ridiculous, its beyond laughable.
I assure you that even if a million Igbos die in the North, a million will take their place because the alternative is to go die slow, painful, poverty-stricken deaths in the landlocked sh**hole called Igbo land. The marketers who have been selling above 65 naira, are they not Igbo people?
They think they will get the presidency in 2015 if they boot lick, bend over and know tow to GEJ, how pathetic. If GEJ doesn't contest in 2015, its going back to the North.
They claim they are a "republican" or "egalitarian" society. The truth is it's a case of every man for himself. That is why they steal, cheat, connive and even murder so they can get enough money to marry many wives, build big mansions in the village, throw lavish parties and buy chieftaincy titles and knighthoods. Kidnapping, armed robbery, prostitution are 10x worse in the S/E than anywhere else in Nigeria, if in doubt do the following three things:
(1) Go to the East via night bus.
(2) Enter any big town especially Aba and Onitsha after 6pm.
(3) Visit Owerri in the evening on any given day especially weekends.
Nigerian roads are bad generally but S/E roads are death traps, yet every Igbo man of means grades (and in some cases tars) only the road that leads to his own house. Their roads have been washed away by erosion, yet go to any village and you would be amazed at the types of empty mansions you see.
The truth is their place is dead, look at all their traditional rulers, most of them stay in Lagos, Abuja, PH, Asaba, etc. Eze. Festus Odimegwu, the former Nigerian Breweries C.E.O is the traditional ruler of his community in Imo, yet he still stays full time in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi and runs his business, FE Group of Companies, all based in Lagos. Amb. Arthur Mbanefo is the Odu III of Onitsha, also still resides full time at Ikoyi. Same goes for Prof. Laz Ekwueme who is a traditional ruler in Oko, Anambra but still stays at Yaba. This is because they know that they are rulers over barren wastelands.
The average Igbo farmer spends 3 times what other farmers across Nigeria spends on fertilizer yet the only thing that grows is cassava (and yellow garri is still cheaper in Lagos than anywhere else in Igboland). They think we in the Niger-Delta will go with them if they secede and dash them our oil, how I laugh at their stupidity!!!!!
Has anyone ever wondered why successive bad governments use Igbos as mouthpieces? Its because they always have a price; Abacha had Daniel Kanu, Obj had Odimegwu leading The 3rd Term agenda as well as Frank Nweke Jnr., now GEJ has nitwits like Worgu, Okonjo-Iweala, Anyim and Co. Of course we all remember Arthur Nzeribe (A.B.N) and Uche Chukwumerije under IBB. Look at N.N.P.C, various Hausa, Yoruba and South-South boys have entered that place and cleaned out yet they all used and are still using Levi Ajuonuma as spokesperson.
Have you ever wondered why in eight years of the senate's presidency under the S/E zone, they had Enwerem, Okadigbo, Wabara, Anyim and Nnamani. In five years under North-Central zone, only one: David Mark, Its because they have sold, are still selling and will always sell their own mothers for a plate of porridge.
The whole of Imo has less than 3 functioning industries(government or private) yet they are always quick to shout marginalization. When one of their few shining stars: Alex Ekwueme stood to contest in 1998 and 2002, Igbo people like Orji Kalu, Achike Udenwa, Jim Nwobodo under cut him because he didn't share money.
Abeg the Igbos or "Biafrans" as they call themselves should do and leave the rest of us alone, all they are good for is to act as middle men in the sale of fake Asian products (thank God all these foreign companies are already setting up shop in Naija) and supply girls as wives.
So all these are because of protests and strike, no am wrong its a deep rooted hatred. sorry dear, its their life and u can't wish it away.

If I may ask, Did NLC call for a protest or a strike? If its a protest, then many states both in the North and West are as guilty as the east but if its a strike then some people are fooling themselves here. To al harem and co, will you really protest against fuel subsidy if one of those people in the pictures above are your relation? If your dear ones were cut down in their prime about a week ago by boko haram will you sincerely go for a protest against fuel subsidy, will that be your priority now?
Why are we decieving ourselves here? Some one just said earlier that the easterners should first protest before others will join, does that sound right to your ear?

if there should be any protest, it should be about the gory pictures above. by the way, WHAT HAS BAKARE SAID ABOUT BOKO HARAM'S LATEST UNSLAUGHT, OR ARE THEY NOT PART OF THE POOR MASSES?
