jayooh: Yes, I have done assessment. You can get positive assessment with your first degree only, many people have gotten it as well.
If it's EA, please download the MSA booklet and digest the requirements. You will need to prepare 3 career episodes and a CPD to fit the occupation u nominate No quite. Only EA is sure of giving positive assessment without work experience. AIQS actually requires 2 years work experience as seen in the attached document from their website

Age - 30 pts IELTs- nil Experience - nil ( except nysc, passed out few weeks ago) Degree - b.tech quantity surveying(five years course) 10 pts I also saw my skill on the list.

Jprince93: Thanks for the prompt reply. I really appreciate. But based on your number 3 reply, if we have a marriage certificate then there is no need for any of those requirements? With a marriage certificate you still need all of those documents especially if the marriage is less than a year and no children yet |

My dear e-family,
So I am here to just rant!!!
Hnmmmmmm..... This PR process can teach the most impatient person how to be patient oh.....HAHA
I am shocked at how long this process is taking for us (me and my crew - hubby and 2 children)
We commenced the process since October 12, 2016 and after plenty "Orisirisi drama capped with miracles and testimonies" we landed ITA on September 6, 2017, lodged visa application (189) - September 22, 2017.
We received the immi assessment commencement email - November 6, 2017 and since then, DoHA have been owing us our visas oh.
Chai this waiting game is a humbling one. I know it will end in Praise though
So in all sha, I pray that no one on this thread will have to wait this long (its almost 10 months now) after visa application
Meanwhile, if there is anyone here who has also lodged visa application can we please state our gist/timelines here it might help me know I am not alone. thank you |

Congratulations!!! Ok so for your application, Ensure you upload all documents that support every point you claimed i.e Education (Certificate & Transcript) Age (Birth Certificate / International passport) Names (Birth Certificate, in case of any changes, Sworn affidavit and Newspaper publication) Work Experience (Employment letters, promotion letters, pay slips, reference letters, and Statement) Health (Ensure you generate your HAP ID and go for your medicals before you are asked, Yellow card from port health) English (PTE score should be sent directly from your profile on the PTE website, or send the IELTS result) Partner (International passport, Yellow card from port health, Evidence of name or any changes as above, English docs as above or Proficiency in English letter from sch) Child (International passport, Immunization card) all applicants will have to do the medicals as above. I am not certain ii have covered it all. Others can modify Aub430: Guys ITA don drop for 489 visa.
At the moment, due to maintenance, I'm unable to log on to skillsselect to see what document is required. However I was just wondering what extra thing do I need to include in my application to ensure a direct grant??
Thanks |

catchdwind4rmkd: I visited this thread today!
My Contribution: There's nothing wrong with using an agent. The stress is using the right agent. We use agents for different reasons, the common being lack of time and information. A qualified Migration Agent would obviously make the entire process fast and easy for you. While he does your job and leaves you free time to do other more pressing stuff, you pay for his own time or services. Using an agent is in NO way a sign of laziness or unintelligence. In fact, it shows that you like yourself, you don't like stress, you're busy and can afford the cost. You also are indirectly solving the problem of unemployment.
People use agents or similar to get admission into NIGERIAN universities, to find a house to rent, to buy a land, to build a house, to sell a house, to plan their wedding, to buy a car, to manage their business, etc........ Let's not make a big deal out of this MIGRATION AGENT thingy.... When I got my scholarship, my sponsor made all visa and flight/travel arrangements via an AGENT. Please call me LAZY. While looking for cheap flight to OZ, I did contact a ticketing agent but didn't use them coz of cost. But yeah, MOST of us finally had IOM do it for us I'd think they're something similar to AGENTS.
Bottom line, those that can afford it don't bother stressing. My boss gets all he wants by just picking the phone and dial. Most companies have agents doing all travel stuff for them. My former employer in Nigeria uses VFS to get easy and fast visa processing for employees going overseas for training. We also had agents taking care of passports and flights for same day services. All we do is walk in and walk out. What about accommodation and pickups? Just land and call a number, BINGO you're in your room. NO Stress. Trust me I enjoyed it while it lasts
AGENTS are there to make life easy for you if you don't mind the exorbitant cost. They're meant to be well-informed in their area of specialisation. Say for VISA, they know all the rules and requirements. They keep themselves informed and updated on migration matters. Similar to what lawyers.
On this forum, we can only offer as much as we've researched; which for most of us is only limited to what we found while processing our application. Not many research outside their interest. So, we can't answer all your questions to help you DIY. You'd need to do your own research. And if you can't or don't have the time, then, by all means, get the services of an AGENT. It's left to you to do your DUE DILIGENCE in choosing the right AGENT.
TRUMP does not KNOW everything and possibly ANYTHING about some of the things he champions and enjoys... Same is clear of BUHARI... But regardless, we can't completely say they're lazy and unintelligent to become PRESIDENTS!!!
Shout out to y'all. Keep the love flying. You are very right. Spot on! Even the DIBP recognizes the need for migration agents and has even made provisions for this in their entire process flow. It's just that the fraudulent agents in Nigeria are too many and there's hardly a way to pick the good ones out unlike AUS where they have MARA registeration. It is well |
