mcdreeezy: I can relate with this OP, this girl in the next department use to do a lot of them to me like staring, taking my fone to view the pictures and et al.
There was a day I was goin home after lectures, I was in the midst of some frnds, we all leave skul together. As we were nearing the gate, this girl called me and said she wanted to see me. For my mind I was like chai which kind tin be dis, abeg make dis girl no waste time oh cuz my padi no dey wait for me. I went to meet her and I was like wtsup, she said she's fine. She said she called me bcuz of two tins and I was like what are they? She took me back inside to a hall where we were alone and then she told me abt a test we wrote which a lecturer seized our scripts (d lecturer said we copied each other and wanted us to see him). After much deliberations, (time had gone) I asked her if that was all, after much silence and staring, she said yes. In my mind I was like, is that why she took all this time and brought me here? Mehn like say I wan do the babe bad tin for dat hall, she go gree wella.
I jux waved it off, we left the hall and I feel she wasn't happy. Maybe she xpected me to see the signs and man up to ask her out but I jux didn't want to, I dey give girls space. I felt twas jux a crush and she'll get over it (no be say I too fine o, me sef get pple wey I dey crush on). I later ended up runnin on the road jux to catch up with my frnds (twas quite a distance) and the heavy polybag I was carryin didn't help matters, that incident was really awkward mehn. This happened last month, she must have gotten over it by now. She's a great person
I jux say make I share my xperience, happy Independence in advance So what makes you think we're interested in your so called experience? |

phadat: is that the meaning of okwudili, tried asking around for the meaning and got lots of interpretation and I thought okwu in Igbo is word guess that name is confusing Okwudili(chukwu) simply means let the issue (okwu) be for(dili) for God(Chukwu) . Okwu means speech, word or matter/issue depending on the context in which it was used. |

simplynola: I have 2 neighbours, one is Otakagu and the other sounds like ozubechukwu or is it uzubechukwu. Kindly decode the meaning pls Otakagu could literally mean "bites like a leopard" ozubechukwu - though I'm not sure - could mean "God's direction" |

lanrefront1:
I tire for all these people on Nairaland.
Everyone knows this. That Boko-Haram now has ties with other terror groups, that it is finance from foreign elements.
it was not like this when Bokoharm started. Boko-Haram of today is different from Boko-Haram of 2011. The aim of the Northern elites was to force Jonathan to give up the PDP presidential slot so a Northerner can become President according to the agreement claimed to have agrees upon in the party.
Then Boko-Haram was also used to target Christians. Even the traditional elites like the Sultan etc were in support. At that time, you will never hear them speak evil of Boko-Haram.
But today the organisation is no longer under the control of Northern elites. Today Boko-Haram is killing everybody, even emirs. Today Bokharam wants to become another ISIS in Nigeria.
So many of the original backers or sponsors of Boko-Haram are no longer with them today.
These things happens very well. If for instance, a top official in the CIA has been working for years and giving useful beneficial information to KGB or terrorist, and at point in time decided to stop, then he will be threatened that he must continue otherwise they will expose their association together. And if he goes ahead and terminate the relationship, they go ahead and name as a way of punishment. yes, during the cold war, they were several western double agents that were exposed by KGB because they terminated their relationships with KGB.
So terrorists can name their sponsors if they had fallen out with those sponsors. They will never name someone who is still beneficial to them.
okay then, PROVE IT. 1 Like |
