It's because your receiver is not HD. If it were HD you could have both audio and video.

Uruguay bans the sale of AZBox, Dreambox Receivers

By means of a presidential decree, Uruguay has banned the sale of AZBox, Dreambox, Openbox STBs and other similar brands because said devices can be modified for the reception of illegal Pay-TV services. According to Prensario Internacional, more than 40,000 of these devices have already been modified in the country. This decision applies not only to the sale of decoders in Uruguayan territory but also their distribution with the purpose of selling them abroad.

Although Uruguay is the first Latin American country to adopt such a measure, other countries have already taken steps to leverage piracy. In Argentina, for example, the Chamber of Audiovisual Channel Producers and Programmers presented last Wednesday two TV spots for a new campaign aimed at promoting the national audiovisual industry growth and fighting against piracy and content theft. In fact, the president of the aforementioned chamber, Sergio Veiga, mentioned the utilization of AZBox STBs and confirmed that it is one of the latest piracy modalities in Latin America.

Veiga also shared figures regarding the piracy issue in the region. About USD 1.2 billion are lost in terms of unsold subscriptions of authorized cable and DTH companies; which accounts for USD 500 million in terms of uncollected taxes and more than USD 800 million lost by programmers.

In turn, Chile has also announced an STB “switch-off” of pirate DTHs in the country. Constanza Tellez, DirecTV Corporate Affairs Manager, stated that “more of these devices are going into Chile, as compared with Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay, because in those countries laws are being applied”. And she added: “Here, we have fallen a bit behind”.

As I live outside the coverage area I am made to believe that you need a big dish to get these channels. Based on what people say you need at least above 2.4m and a good LNB to get these channels comfortably.

Have u tested it maybe its work with DSTV black card? This is middle east patch will it be ok for africa receivers?

Unfortunately I dont have these receivers so I dont know how the new software works. As for it being Middle East patch I would say there is no problem. I am using a Middle East Patch on my SRT 4930 and its perfect. If you are using your receiver for MYTV then you would miss some services like the option to check for balance etc. But if not then try it and see the new features or performance.

1. I bought new str 4940 but its showing card error for JSC sport card (aljezeera card).

2. l have str 4663x when am watching jsc sport with aljezeera card it always freeze.

SRT 4940 seems to be a receiver for MYTV and FTA channels only. Those who have used this receiver claim that it is married to the MYTV card and therefore cannot accept cards from other providers. As of now you are stuck with that one. (Others even went to the extent of saying it doesn't even accept software upgrade!)

If your SRT 4663X is ORIGINAL you can search for software upgrades that have recently been released trying to solve the Aljazeera freezing issue. If it is not genuine (which is likely) don't even think of upgrading it, it will die. With that one, you are again stuck.

Nigerian Islamic group to launch satellite TV channel

The Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa Iqamatis Sunnah, a religious organisation, is to launch a satellite TV channel, called Sunnah TV.

The Daily Times Nigeria reports that the organisation's national chairman, Shiekh Bala Lau, said test transmission of the channel had been carried out.

He said the content of its programmes was being worked out, but pointed out that the recitation of the Holy Quran and Hadith would feature prominently, adding that the channel would concentrate on religious instructions and other productive activities that would benefit Muslims and other Nigerians, especially the youth.

Lau explained that Sunnah TV was aimed at helping young Muslims to excel in the recitation of the Holy Book and commit themselves to the teachings of Islam.
