Such attitudes arise from poverty of the mind. People should learn to be humane. It's bad enough that the drainage systems are blocked due to bad attitudes as well.

This is Nigeria.....

No maintenance culture.
The poor masses are more wicked than the elites.

Come to my area and see how they keep destroying borehole that was built by a serving State House Member.
Even Transformers are destroyed on daily bases.
It's Appalling.

People are so wicked and heartless, especially the very poor ones.
What a shame!

Car TalkRe: What The Car You Drive Says About You by pilot77(m): 10:10am On Jan 12, 2018
AutoJoshNG:
We all know that the car someone drives has a lot to say about his/her personality. You are not only addressed the way you dress; you’re also addressed with what you drive.

One way or the other, the car you drive has something to point out about you. There are cars that will drive out and nobody will look at it and there are ones that will pass and it will get everyone around gazing in awww.

There are a lot of factors that determines the car someone drives. These factors include: how much you can spend, your family situation, what your job entails, how flashy you like to be, ego, how much you know about cars etc.

Nb: Everything about this post is pointing to Nigerian.

1. 1999 model Toyota camry (Tiny light):

https://i65.tinypic.com/6p45ko.jpg

This car also has its name to be “I-don-get-job”. When you drive this car, people see you to be someone that just need a car to drive but don’t have a heavy pocket. This might be wrong though.

This car is very common in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. A lot of people drive it because of its good fuel economy and easy maintenance.
Any roadside mechanic can manage to handle whatever problem it has and the spare parts is readily available almost everywhere.

2. Toyota Sienna:

https://i66.tinypic.com/116osuu.jpg

This car passes the message that you’re a family man or woman. It says you probably need enough passenger and cargo space to convey your family. This can as well be linked to transport companies because that’s their closest alternative if it’s not the regular bus you know.
This is not just for Toyota Sienna; it also applies for other minivans like Nissan Quest and Honda Odyssey.

3. Hilux:

https://i65.tinypic.com/2a5hoo6.jpg

You’re a federal government official. You’re a driver if you’re in front driving it and you are the oga if you’re sitting at the back. This car also says you’re an Engineer or a construction worker. It says you need a very strong car to keep up with your work.

4. Toyota Camry Muscle / Avalon Ship/Lexus RX 330 and 350:

https://i67.tinypic.com/wwb711.jpg

On the good side, you’re a worker or business man that earns decently. You don’t struggle so much to survive. You fit in well in the economy. On the other side, you’re segun wire wire grin . You’re a yahoo boy who just hit his first million and needs a car to match your class and to show off.

5. . Gwagon/Range Rover:

https://i66.tinypic.com/2ldbplu.jpg

We are not talking about classic 1989 model G wagon or Range Rover. We are talking about the newer models with inexplicable luxury and sophisticated engineering.

Anybody driving these are regarded to be rich and has jaw in the society. He or she is not just a civil servant or an ordinary business man.
The owner is a politician, a musician, an artiste or a pastor.

6. Mercedes Benz:

https://i63.tinypic.com/15qsron.jpg

This category starts from 2010 model of any Benz. Be it C300, GLK 350, ML 350, C 350 etc.

one thing peculiar to the people driving these cars is that their car keys can’t be in their pocket, bag or purse. They like hooking it where eyes can see them.

In essence, they have this ego they want to uphold.

7. BMW:

https://i67.tinypic.com/2gv7ehl.jpg

You know about cars and that’s why you went for drivers car. Bimmer as it is fondly called tells that you have love for cars and you want something sporty, aggressive yet calm to drive.

It atimes do tell you’re a car guy and needs something suitable to drive.

8. Rolls Royce:

https://i68.tinypic.com/287zsw2.jpg

You’re simply a billionaire. You earn more than 6 figures monthly and you’re a tycoon in your business line. Rolls Royce says you’re on top of the game you play.

You’re a high ranking politician, footballer, pastor, businessman etc.

That’s where we gonna stop for now. PLEASE don’t take the post personal, it is just for fun.

Always Feel free to add yours using the comment section.

Please, what do you have to say about the cars for runs girlshuh

@others,
I did make some enquiries as regards Bank Loans for Pilot Training and they all seem to be in the negative right now.But i want to attribute it to lack of feasibility studies by most of those banks. So dont give up.Always remember to keep the ball centred and keep the needles in the green. wink

Thank God for nairaland.
I recently applied for pilot training at bristow and i am getting fed up of waiting.i was just saying to a friend of mine that i wish i know whether or not they(bristow) have done the selection process and then i decided to search for bristow on nairaland and i see about 3different threads on flying.i can hardly believe my eyes and my luck.
I have read through the comments here and would like to thank everyone who has contributed,it has been comforting to me.
I noticed that RDV mentioned Jide Adebayo-i happen to know his sister in law and if you are with bristow you may also know captain Oni.

i have been interested in flying for about 6years now .where havent i gone or written to ;i went to zaria, went to my local government for sponsorship, wrote to 43 air, wrote to embry riddle, wrote to another one in australia-basair,went to bellview, tried maersk air and then when i wanted to apply to bristow they were only interested in pilots with a PPL.

at that point, after trying really hard i gave up and got a regular job with hopes that i would save for a PPL-story.it was still too expensive.
i applied again recently to bristow and God i am so anxious.it feels like my last hope.if i don't get taken i'll just go and do one of those one hour helicopter jolly rides that claim to add to flight hours-i am consoling myself eii.

i am trying to keep hope alive,i am just tired.RDV,pilot77 etc if you work in bristow can u please confirm if candidates have already been chosen for the test-that would really help my state of mind.
thanks a lot.
@shushu
I'll say hang in there.I did go through the Bristow Selection Processin 2001 (i just turned 24 then)and i was selected but i had to wait for 3 years which was a very harrowing experience, In 2004,i saw an advert on the newspapers and i called up the Ops Manager who is known to Wham and i asked him what about me,he said i should call him every 3 weeks, wjich i did.Little did i know that i was digging my own pit.A few months later, the guy told me that he was dropping my name off the list as i was disturbing him.So please, just keep Calm.I know most Bristow Pilots as my Dad worked with Shell PH and i used to spend most of my time at the Heliport. But here i am today, preparing for my Professional Pilots Licence. The short of my story is that you can make it without Bristow.Trust me you can.If you are still in Aberdeen,u can take up some flying lessons durring the Spring/Summer and then apply to Aero Contrators .
You can send me ur email address and i'll mail you with some info. You truly can make it if you are determined
