1. Do raising children in unhealthy marriage situations such as the one you advised not hurt them just as much? undecided

2. She said a lot by indicating that she currently does not have peace of mind. Do you know what it is like to not have peace of mind in a relationship— any relationship? undecided

If you're advice to her is to leave the marriage, you can advise that way
I have given my own opinion, which worked for some hard hearted women, not for everyone

Interesting info still. It's best to avoid the "independent" women then, because it's apparent from your comment that their quest for resource control has nothing to do with getting a better life for themselves, but due to a deep seated hatred they've had nurturing against men.
Well if that's what you understand by what I stated, all the best to you.
A man should provide for his family, if he is not capable of providing, the woman can step in
What is so difficult to understand here?

Marriage no be by force and it is not supposed to be a prison sentence for anyone. If it ain't working, there is nothing wrong with getting out of it so you, as a human being, can experience peace and joy which can be found even outside of marriage. undecided
Well that's your opinion, like she said she doesn't want to hurt her children. The husband is not beating her, I would have advised her to quit.
But the issue is that of hurting her emotionally not physically

By implications, being independent is how most of you women practice misandry? Interesting!
When a man has refused to provide, what do you expect? To continue begging the man to provide? no dear, we have passed that stage.
Women now wants to be part the bread winners too, so they can support

Please let's kindly stop deceiving ourselves this year! undecided

So many people are stuck in that rut, calling it a marriage when it is not even fit to be defined as a real relationship because communication at that point is nearly nil between the parties involved. Stonewalling is never a good conflict resolution tactic. undecided

So what is your point?

Listen to me, there’s no situation that warrants calling the children her children or his children as where convenient. At any point in time, the children are their children.
Well I purposely used that pronounce because I've been using her children, so in order to ensure the man is involved, I said his children.
Didn't you see where I mentioned "make sure she provides what her children will eat?
Because I said the man should take care of the children's welfare, it becomes an issue

Very possible, and it has worked for some. Makes the man to come back to their senses

When it comes to the relationship with the children, its her children.

But when it’s about the welfare of the children, it’s his children.

Woman clap for yourself

Oh yes, it's the responsibility of the man to provide for his family, take it or you leave
The woman can only assist if the man is unable to perform his duties.
She can't be doing all her own duties and the man will just sit their doing nothing

When you guys were supposed to say the real truth, you refused and you claimed the child had an underlying sickness and she just succumbed to her sickness.

Just act like he doesn't exist.
Don't complain about anything concerning him
Make your children your priority, love them, be there for them
He should be responsible for the warfare of his children
Ensure you and your kids have what to eat
Keep the house clean
Most importantly be independent, make your own money.

Like, what the hell is wrong in his head?

Accredited votes - 57,530

APC - 13,318

LP - 55,547

How did we get this figure?

And in South East and South South too, LP is the only party that got the votes and there was not even no single void votes.

We go meet for court na.

Instead of giving yourself respect and honour and take the L, you are still hell bent on embarrassing yourself.

Let the court decide and let's know who should be embarrassed 😳

Haba, that's a new one! She was electrocuted?
Ok, was she electrocuted in the school or at agege stadium? Obviously in agege stadium, the venue of the sports activity. In that case from your logic, why not shut down the stadium and look for the electrical cable that shocked her?
How is "shutting down the school necessary" if they have to locate the live cable in agege stadium?
So obviously your read it and closed your eyes, still holding unto the previous claim that she collapsed.

Well until the investigations concluded, starting from the school to the stadium, no one knows for sure if she actually got to the stadium or the incident happened before the left for the stadium I commend the police in shutting down the school. Job well done
Education / Re: Lagos Government Shuts Chrisland School Over Whitney Adeniran’s Death by Pinkyposh(f): 7:30am On Feb 13, 2023
nedekid:

All these issues you have raised and rightly too can be sorted out with an autopsy not by shutting down the school.
A child slumped, and that is what it is, people slump and die. From what we heard, she did not even participate in the activities as she complained she was not feeling OK.
The issue here is our habit of conspiracy theories. Someone even alledged the school bus driver should be arrested and investigated for sexual assault! What if the child had slumped at home? The parents will still ask what they did to her in the school that made her slump when she got home and demand the school be investigated.
As I wrote earlier, 2 kids were playing, one hit his head and got the normal lump on the head. Parents was informed, child taken to doctor by the school for examination. Dr recommended a CT scan. School paid (then) 55k. Scan was done. Dr raised alarm to the school of the presence of a growth/lump on the child's brain! Parent was informed. Parents confirmed they were aware for years, but were waiting for finances to fly the child abroad for treatment.
Some will drop or school bus will pick obviously sick kids, when school rejects them, parents (who want to go to work) grow wild that they paid school fees. That their kids are healthy. Even a child with smallpox, parents will fight that they must be in school!
Do you know how many kids will come to school with an empty stomach, same child without provision for snacks or lunch? We have seen kids faint out of hunger. Kids with stale, rotten food nko?
Abeg to run a school in Nigeria has its own peculiarities.
May her soul rest in peace and may almighty console the parents.
Why all these long talks, why not face the current matter
So you have not listened to the confession of a school mate of the girl, that she was electrocuted.
Let's stop justifying rubbish abeg.
They need to locate the naked cable that caused the dead, so shutting down the school is necessary
Education / Re: We Are Heartbroken: Chrisland Schools React To Whitney Adeniran's Death by Pinkyposh(f): 9:17pm On Feb 12, 2023
IFSHR:
The school must be held questionable for negligence, the school in question should know too well, to have paramedics, first aid kit, and ambulance available at the venue, writing in participation with the state government would have made them have all these necessity without spending a dime or spend less.

A viral voicenote from one of the school students who was present claimed the deceased was electrocuted by a pop corn vendor exposed wire and as a first aid, water was poured on her.

The mother as well said, that when she meet her corpse at the immunization centre instead of hospital they rushed her to, her tongues were black and the medical report from the centre showed dead on arrival and here the school said oxygen was administered to her

Reading through the school publication, them making reference to a "non-bouyant health " shows they are trying to absolve their self of any wrong...

The child can't be brought back, but the parent need closure, the government must ensure appropriate investigation is carried out without any form of bias to both party involved.
Thank you very much, you have wisdom, not someone quoting me trying to act as though the school is clean

Parents own the body, the school has no authority over it, anyone that says something else is a liar.
Same thing happened to that of Sylvester of Down college, the school was involved in the 2 autopsies conducted.

. Be sure of what you say, it's not schools decision.

What do you mean it's not school's decision
Do you read to understand or you read to attack?
They should allow the parents conduct their own autopsy without any form involvement

Pls it's better we verify things before jumping into conclusions
Anyways, I have a close family friend who teaches there at opebi (a very dedicated pastor and well loved by parents.)
I had to chat him up as soon as I saw this post on NL.
He said this same child fainted twice last week and the parent were called to pick her up...
So I guess the parent were already aware of her conditions before the incident.
The only reason I'll blame the school is her participation on the sport event(participation not verified yet)..
So why is the school against autopsy been conducted, they should allow the parents do it, and let's see what exactly happened to that child

When that of Sylvester happened, you people closed your eyes and ears and refused to withdraw your kids from that school.
When it gets to your turn, you'll start lamenting.
The remaining people in that school should start withdrawing their kids before it gets to them.

Imagine paying so much for school fees, yet they couldn't get adequate medical personnel on ground.
Couldn't take her to a good hospital
What a shame

That school is highly connected, an ordinary person can't bring it down

May the poor girl's soul rest in peace
