Why do I need to cross the Niger Bridge? To do what nah? To cross over to the erosion ravaged potopoto republic of drugs, robbery, kidnapping and prostitution. You people are all running to Yoruba land because your land is inhabitable, why then should I cross to your worthless land?
Well, there you go.

Thank you for confirming, once again, what a mentally indolent buffoon you are.

You have not crossed the Niger Bridge, yet you felt stuuupidly confident to speak about the level of development of Igbo towns.

The onus then lies upon you to repudiate those supposedly wrong facts piece by piece.
You obviously lack basic minimum knowledge of the issues, as well as the intellectual capacity to assemble your own coherent set of facts for a counter argument.

In fact, based on your statement that Israel built the Egyptian Pyramids, I sincerely think that trying to engage you in an intelligent discussion would be the equivalence of casting pearls before swine.

Throwback:
I brought up the Iran deal to show and prove that America will not always have support for its actions by other world powers who are its allies, and will not always be right.

Apparently, I achieved my goal, hence your distress that I was able to prove so very effortlessly with a very recent political issue.

Maybe I was the one who created Israel in 1948.

I can already see I am debating with an ignorant religious maniac. You can continue arguing with history, but you cannot erase it.

After the present state of Israel was created in 1948, its first 5 Prime Ministers, starting from David Ben Gurion up to Golda Meir, were all migrants who were not born within Palestine, but were refugees from Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Austria, Germany etc.

Infact, they all changed their Slavic sounding names to sound Hebrew after arriving in the newly created Israel. And most Jews in Israel now, can only trace their origins inside Palestine to the 3rd or 4th generation, beyond which the traceability is directed outside towards Europe.

Meanwhile the Palestinians like Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abass, can trace their family's origin inside Palestine to over 20 generations before USA even existed, or Australia or New Zealand or Canada.

That the Jews existed at the time of Christ or in earlier times as part of the 12 tribes of Hebrew Israel, is no excuse for them to be grabbing land that currently belong to the Arabs.

Many countries and tribes that did not exist in blibical times now exist on land that belonged to some prehistoric people. Does it then mean that one day a tribe will begin to drag Egypt with the Arabs that migrated there over 1000yrs ago to occupy what had been previously occupied by Black Africans, the Greeks and later the Romans?

Will we one day see the Germans or French lose their land to some refugee tribe that will arrive and truly claim their own tribe once occupied those lands in prehistoric times or biblical times of the early Christian era, and is recorded in their own religious folklore?

Does the religious folklore of the Jews called holy books, not record that even the Hebrews were a genocidal army that exterminated tribes as they marched on to occupy the already occupied promised land and create the biblical Israel that had long ceased to exist upon Roman conquest, before the Arabs even expanded into what is now known as Palestine?

Indeed the current Jewish state of Israel was created in 1948 as the solution to the Jewish refugee crises of Europe, and the country was ruled by such Jewish refugees that arrived from Eastern Europe.

All of these are historical facts that even I as a Christian cannot refute, except I was a religious ass-licker like you.

I throwback your question at you since I never claimed the Arab Palestinians are the sole owners of the disputed Jerusalem.

Is Israel recognised by the international community to be the sole owner of Jerusalem, or to be legally occupying some of the land it has grabbed in its attempt to forcefully expand beyond the refugee boundaries it was granted in 1948 for which the country was thereby created and later recognised and admitted to the UN in 1949?

The point is why is the rest of the developed world opposed to USA giving a unilateral recognition to Israel over a Jerusalem that is still disputed and for which negotiations on the partitioning is still ongoing?

Why was the rest of the developed world absent at the USA embassy ceremony in Jerusalem? Why was the ceremony only attended by 3rd world countries that depend on grants and aids received from the USA?

Is the rest of the world wrong and USA is right?

Is the rest of Europe who know the origins of the Jewish refugee crisis that resulted to the creation of Israel in 1948 wrong?

Is Britain who had the UN mandate to oversee Palestine and that allowed the current undisputed boundary of Israel to be carved out of Palestine, wrong for not supporting USA in its unilateral decision?

Finally, why were the Zionist Jews raising money in Europe and America to buy Arab lands in Palestine at a time Israel did not exist and at a time they were advancing the agenda of relocating Jews in Europe to Palestine? Why will a tribe be buying land that you claim belonged to it, yet they were paying the Arab land owners? Till today, the Arabs have never disputed the lands they sold to the Jews, because they know they were duly paid for it. Their grouse remains that the Jews should never have been allowed to form a country within an Arab populated Palestine.

And if the Jews were allowed to form a country from Paelstine, why must the Arabs be prevented from forming a country for their own land of Palestine that they occupy? Why must the Jews continue to encroach further into Arab lands outside of the recognized boundary of Israel in 1948?
Thank you.

Unfortunately, such an informative and educational piece would be like casting pearls before swine to the ignorant.
Nigeria Christians are so passionate about this issue, yet sooooo ignorant of the history of this dispute.

Stupid lies that you cooked up for the fools. Israel was the very first owner of the land which dates back thousands of years BCE!! When they faced war and were displaced, the Arab took the land in the 7th century and it remained in the Muslim control untill the crusade of 1099 which was followed by the Ottoman conquest in 1517. Later the Jews gathered themsleves in the 19th century and determined to return back to their rightful land and in 1947, United Nations lead a truce and partition for the Jews agency and the Arabs to divide the land and share Jerusalem between them. The Jews agency accepted the truce but the terrorist Arabs rejected it. In 1948, the Jews states declared the indepence of the State Of Israel! Since then, the terrorists have been waging an unending war with Israel and their brothers like you continue to wail. The irony of it though is that if lots like you were to leave Nigeria and choose to go to Israel or U.S that you hate so much, or go to Palestine or Iran, today, you hypocritic fools and nonentities would choose U.S or Israel!

Imagine a world that did not have the Israel-Palestine conflict. Imagine what peace the Middle-East and the world would have had?

Have you ever asked yourself why you never heard of Arab-Christian conflict in the modern world until the Israel-Palestinian conflict started?

Imagine if there was no American inspired conflict in any part of the world?

Even you wouldn't be this hateful and frustrated.

Religion has taken its toll on your reasoning and objectivity

Imagine how you have absconded from your argument of Jewish ownership of Arab land, only to settle for religious fanaticism and taken solace that your are fighting a religious cause that does not value Justice?

Every human is my brother, even if I don't share their religious belief. It is obvious you are a religious maniac not different from the Muslim terrorists you have been berating.

Continue to argue with history, and tell me how you would react if a refugee tribe comes to your village that has existed for 100s of years, and claim that their fore fathers that your own fore fathers never met there, are the original owners of the land so you should take your leave for their own takeover.

I ask you again to show you how shallow and empty headed you are, why where the Jews raising money all over Europe and USA to buy lands in Palestine from Arab land owners?

Why is it that most Jews cannot trace their history in Palestine beyond the 3rd/4th generation, beyond which they have to trace it to Ukraine, Poland and Austria?

Why is it that the first 5 Prime Ministers of the nation of Israel that did not exist in any world map before 1948, were all Jewish refugees from Eastern Europe?

Lastly, why are the white Americans the owners of USA they only began to occupy 300yrs ago? Why are the Anglo Saxons the owners of England they began to occupy about 1700yrs ago? Why are the English the owners of Australia and New Zealand that they began to occupy less than 400yrs ago?

So why are the Arabs not the owners of Palestine that they have occupied for over 1000yrs?

Can you prove that even your own tribe have occupied the village you lay claim to for up to 1000yrs?

So why is Palestine that accommodated Jewish refugees who had been buying land from the Arabs, be said to be owned by Israel that only existed after Jewish refugee settlement?

For once, spare your brain from the corruption and bias of religion and think like a reasoning human with a conscience.

If refugees can form their own country, why won't the recorded land owners who sold the Jews some of the land, form their own country in peace without Israel running like a puppet up and down to secure American support over their illegalities.

The only hope of Israel is USA and their continued partiality, beyond that they know they have to deal with a fair and impartial UN and EU who know more about the origins of the whole issue.
Well said.
Nigeria Christians are probably the most ignorant of history on earth.

I have had this same argument for the millionth time, even amongst well educated Nigerian christians, that the Israeli Palestinian conflict is NOT a religious conflict, but a simple land theft .

The coup speech that overthrew Buhari on August 27, 1985…

August 27

2015
by TheCable

I, Brigadier Joshua Nimyel Dogonyaro, of the Nigerian Army, hereby make the following declaration on behalf of my colleagues and members of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Fellow country men, the intervention of the military at the end of 1983 was welcomed by the nation with unprecedented enthusiasm. Nigerians were unified in accepting the intervention and looked forward hopefully to progressive changes for the better. Almost two years later, it has become clear that the fulfillment of expectations is not forthcoming.

Because this generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country but Nigeria, we could not stay passive and watch a small group of individuals misuse power to the detriment of our national aspirations and interest.

No nation can ever achieve meaningful strides in its development where there is an absence of cohesion in the hierarchy of government; where it has become clear that positive action by the policy makers is hindered because as a body it lacks a unity of purpose.

It is evident that the nation would be endangered with the risk of continuous misdirection. We are presently confronted with that danger. In such a situation, if action can be taken to arrest further damage, it should and must be taken. This is precisely what we have done.

The Nigerian public has been made to believe that the slow pace of action of the Federal Government headed by Major-General Muhammadu Buhari was due to the enormity of the problems left by the last civilian administration.

Although it is true that a lot of problems were left behind by the last civilian government, the real reason, however, for the very slow pace of action is due to lack of unanimity of purpose among the ruling body; subsequently, the business of governance has gradually been subjected to ill-motivated power play considerations. The ruling body, the Supreme Military Council, has, therefore, progressively been made redundant by the actions of a select few members charged with the day-to-day implementation of the SMC’s policies and decision.

The concept of collective leadership has been substituted by stubborn and illadvised unilateral actions, thereby destroying the principles upon which the government came to power. Any effort made to advise the leadership, met with stubborn resistance and was viewed as a challenge to authority or disloyalty.

Thus, the scene was being set for systematic elimination of what, was termed oppositions. All the energies of the rulership were directed at this imaginary opposition rather than to effective leadership.

The result of this misdirected effort is now very evident in the country as a whole. The government has started to drift. The economy does not seem to be getting any better as we witness daily increased inflation.

The nation’s meager resources are once again being wasted on unproductive ventures. Government has distanced itself from the people and the yearnings and aspirations of the people as constantly reflected in the media have been ignored.

This is because a few people have arrogated to themselves the right to make the decisions for the larger part of the ruling body. All these events have shown that the present composition of our country’s leadership cannot, therefore, justify its continued occupation of that position.

Furthermore, the initial objectives and programmes of action which were meant to have been implemented since the ascension to power of the Buhari Administration in January 1984 have been betrayed and discarded. The present state of uncertainty and stagnation cannot be permitted to degenerate into suppression and retrogression.

We feel duty bound to use the resources and means at our disposal to restore hope in the minds of Nigerians and renew aspirations for a better future. We are no prophets of doom for our beloved country, Nigeria. We, therefore, count on everyone’s cooperation and assistance.

I appeal to you, fellow countrymen, particularly my colleagues in arms to refrain from any act that will lead to unnecessary violence and bloodshed among us. Rest assured that our action is in the interest of the nation and the armed forces.

In order to enable a new order to be introduced, the following bodies are dissolved forthwith pending further announcements: (a) The Supreme Military Council (b) The Federal Executive Council (c) The National Council of States. All seaports and airports are closed, all borders remain closed.

Finally, a dusk to dawn curfew is hereby imposed in Lagos and all state capitals until further notice. All military commanders will ensure effective maintenance of law and order. Further announcements will be made in due course. God bless Nigeria.

Please is there any difference between the situation Nigeria was described in the bolded speech above, and the 3 years of catastrophy, redundance and hardship we've experienced with Buhari under this Apc govt?
Beautiful.
History is everyone's witness.
It's deja vu all over again.

Mrakeli:
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Wednesday lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for claiming that he was removed as the then Head of State for attempting to fight corruption.

Buhari had made the claim while commissioning the new office block of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Abuja, yesterday.

But reacting , the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain insisted that Buhari was equally corrupt.

Fani-Kayode, who took to his Twitter handle, wondered what could be more corrupt than the alleged coup staged by Buhari in 1983 against a “democratically-elected government.”

He wrote, “Yesterday @MBuhari lamented about how he was detained for 3 years in 1985 for “fighting corruption”. He forgot that he staged a coup d’etat in 1983, toppled a democratically-elected govt. and stole the Presidency and entire treasury. What could be more corrupt than that?

“If his coup had failed, he would have been court-martialled, tied to the stake and shot for military insurrection, mutiny and treason and not just put under house arrest for 3 years.

“He should count himself lucky and not talk about history because he has much to answer for.”

http://akelicious..com/2018/05/fani-kayode-reacts-to-buharis-removal.html
Nigerians couldn't have said it better.

I wonder how a man can claim integrity when he has Never been held accountable for mutiny and treason against the Federal Republic of Nigeria since 1983.

Well, if the EFCC had sufficient evidence against a targeted number of individuals whom they sought for arrest, they could have performed the arrests cleanly without causing chaos and disrupting the business .

Now, please stop saying " If they are innocent, they will be set free". That reveals a high level of ignorance and naivety on your part. No one should ever be arrested and made to prove their innocence.
That would be a negation of the basic tenets of the rule of law and democracy.

Which United States are you referring to ?
The United States of Nigeria ?

In the United States of America, the DEA or any government agency would never arrest a suspected drug dealer or gang member unless and until they had gathered sufficient evidence to be able to convict the person in court. A judge would throw out the case on the first hearing if there was insufficient evidence or if the evidence was too circumstantial .
Such would be counterproductive for the law enforcement agency , a waste of resources, and could leave the agency vulnerable to civil rights lawsuits for wrongful arrest or malicious prosecution.

Being tough on crime means putting more resources to gather intelligence and evidence , not about breaking into and searching people's houses, businesses , cars etc without warrants , and arbitrarily arresting people. That is the very very dumb, very very lazy and idiotic method of supposedly fighting crime.

The answer is that a foreign reserve is a reserve, usually in USD, put aside to offset recurrent foreign exchange obligations , and also used to peg or defend a nation's currency.

Now, since 2015, Nigeria's foreign reserves has risen from $30b to $45 billion. It does not necessarily mean that the present government has been more prudent in management.
What the increase shows is more foreign currency has flown into Nigeria than out.
This can be due to import restrictions, less demand for imports due to recession and also increase in oil earnings coming into Nigeria.
High foreign reserves only helps to stabilize the local currency. It bears no direct correlation to employment and standard of living inside the country.

On the other hand, a sovereign wealth fund is a real cash savings that the government can dip into at any time it pleases to fund budgets , pay debts and fund infrastructural projects.

Therefore, a high foreign reserve is marginally beneficial to the populace, whereas, a sovereign wealth fund is a bona fide cash savings and insurance policy for leaner times.

Therefore, Any government official that Beat their chests about increasing the foreign reserves as an accomplishment is either ignorant or is unduly taking advantage of the public ignorance.

Wealthandjobs:
If the APC wasn't saving, how then did the foreign reserve depleted under Mrs Okonjo Iweala suddenly skyrocketed and overtook the foreign reserve of South Africa?
I refuse to believe that Mrs Okonjo Iweala said that this current government is not saving. She's not blind or/and deaf.
My dear friend,
It is obvious that you don't know what is foreign reserves and what is savings, as in Sovereign trust fund.
In fact, most people don't know what a foreign reserve is .
To prove this to you, I should ask you.
If Nigeria has $45b in foreign reserves, then why is Nigeria desperately going around the world shopping for a loan of mere $2b to fund the budget projects?
Why is the Nigerian government looting pension funds to fund government operations if it has $45b in reserves ?

The seatbelt saved your life.

But why should we help you thank God when a lot more people died than survived? huh
Assuming that it was god's decision to save your life, didn't the other passengers also deserve to live ?

Robbery is immoral , even if I am not the one being robbed.
So should we all keep quiet when other people are being robbed or exploited ?
