@plap, sorry this is eating you up. they say it is easier to tell truth than tell a lie.

solution to this is very simple let them know you are not working and unlike some other people you dont have a dozen hookers making money for you in europe streets.

only your mum is important in this matter. you should help her along with the help coming from your sister and the rest. it should not be only you and your hubby's burden. all you women lib movement you see what you have caused? we never used to depend on daughters for feeding.

get your sister in europe to help out too.
your elder brother is not your responsibility. learn to ignore him and tell your husband exactly that too. he should be told to grow up and stop gambling like there is no tomorrow.

on the team plus 2 reserve bench, you are not their parents so technically not your wahala but i can see why telling now is going to create some problem. walk this rope carefully.

i normally charge for this but i will give you this free on this occassion. try being nice and go the extra kindness mile until you come out clean. by this i mean no matter whatever he does from now you will/ must ignore to the point he owes you a lot. it may be hard but knowing you neeed the bridge yourself walk it.

you may also need to talk to your people that you cant afford to feed them and your family. and make sure you wean them of his money. they survived without it before they will survive again. i cant understand why some people dont have respect for their kids she is not hiding her own child/ren for goodness sake. these are people she should never be responsible for in the first place. these people are unique. i dont want to say what i think of them.

putting a young girl under pressure should never be permittedshe shouldnt look for no job. her kids are young. she should cut off the funds they send home. she has another sister who can easily take that responsibility if comes to that.

on a day like this i thank God for my mum and dad.
Thank u for this wonderful words, my old woman is kind, she has never been a borden, she desarve even more.

Well i thank u all for throwing in one or two words, actually i didn't sold my family birth right like some u are saying, I did what i did for my betterness and for theirs, if u must know, i am the 11th child of the family, i am senior to two people only, Dad was that strugling fellow befor he died, he was well to do but after his death, things became very tough for us, expecially we the younger once, Do u know how painful it is to have a senior once whom were never there for u when u were young?? I droped out of school because i have no one to help. Today i sacrefies my trust and confident just to make things work out for them and some of u are saying, I sold my family out. shocked It's true that he who wear the shoes knows where it pinches, My question is for those wise, wisdom and matured people.
dis is d problem we naijas have,is it a must to have a stay,so becos of stay u sold ur family

arrrggggggg angry
U don't understand, i saw hall and pains befor i left Nigeria, i ve always wished to study fear but i couldn't becos of lack of fund, dad wasn't there to help and the senior once weren't ready to help as they were been lazy to work. So i got the opportunity to make a good living for me and still extend it to them and u want me to throw it in the dustbin?? think befor u talk.

@ IFY i know u do understand the situation, thank u for ur advice, i will keep praying that God will make hubby understand the reason why i told him lies, but i don't know when i will do this. If it is God's wish for him to leave me so be it, but if it is not, he will only distrust me.

@ everybody, i am not here to exposed my family because i know how some members insulted me once for bring family matters here, if u ve bordens and needed to do away wit it, u ve to share it with people, and beside's this is a family section so i see nothing wrong in posting my worries here as long as i can get releaf of it.

How could u be hinting i want my dad dead! Thats vicious and stupid. My dad is sick cos he's old. I asked a simple question that required a simple answer.
"Yes, This is How"
"No, forget it"

You’ve been denying your family for 5 years?!! All because of a guy?

Jeebus!!

Anyway, your problem is no longer about how many siblings you have but how you will tell him you’ve been lying all this time.

By the way, has he been supporting the six you introduced to him?
Is not what u think, if u are in the europe u will understand, i needed to have a stay, but i wanted it with a guy i love not just to have it, so i couldn't choose to lose another oppotunity that came my way, This white guys are not very understanding, u won't understand.
I will not do this if i had met a black guy, I ve always thought in my heart that i will let him know the truth but when and how do i start is what i dont know.

That is his privacy, don't take what is not givien to u by force, wit the look of things here i can feel ur kind of person. I advice u not to be idle minded, u have to look for a job and stop caring about dad's will, Dad work to get rich so u could do thesame. Pray that God heals him cos he can still recover with ur prayer, love and confort instead u are digging his grave on his behave. u are lucky i don't know that man i could ve told him ur plans. huh

Nwaka77:
Na so now, especially in Naija. The woman is to blame for everything. If she is not married by a certain age, she is stigmatized by society, if she does not start having children right away, she is made miserable by her husband's people, if she does give birth but they are not males, na wahala, if her husband dies before her, they wil say na she kill am. Nigerian society is hostile towards the female gender, let's face it. It's a sad situation. I wonder when things will ever change undecided Atleast, I don't live in such a society. That is the good news grin
You are right my sister, i wonder when women will have a right in their matrimonia home in  Nigeria, the most annoying one is when the husband dies befor the wife, it is always the wife that killed him, but when the wife dies first, no one cares even if it's the husband that killed her no one will suspect him it's crazy.
@ poster U are wrong to have said in ur topic women the cause, why? if u were to be a woman that got married to a cheating husband and a punching bag husband, would u keep him simply because u do not want to divorce?? if the men play a good role, i think the rate of divorce will reduce, its not a thing to pass blame on women only, as they are not slaves, women desarve to be treated tenderly and with respect, expecially the nigeria husband family thing, passing other to a woman in her marimonia home, what a nonsence.

Family › Re: Would You Prefer A Nigerian Lady For Marriage? by plappville(f): 5:38pm On Feb 03, 2009
There is no need breaking heads here, @ poster, it's not all nigerian women that are bad or are frustrating their husband, i can tell u that i ve two friendhs whom are not even married to NIGERIA men, their husbands are not ver caring, they complains olot but still keep their home and hoping things will change one day. it all depend on individual, I am a nigerian and married to a european, i dont maltreat my hubby and vise versa, my few nigerian friends that are married are also playing a good role in their matrimonia home, why others no!! i think one should look b/f leaping.
So STOP generalising it. Mistakes most men make is that they are after names: my wife is from a rich family, she is a master's hold, she is very beautiful not minding her behavious, its not possible for a nice woman to just change after her marriage THE HUSBANDS SHOULD CHECK THEMSELVES TOO.

STRANGE WORLD WE LIVE IN

Politics › Cliford Orji Is Back! by plappville(op): 4:00pm On Feb 03, 2009
Nigeria’s most celebrated suspected cannibal, Clifford Orji, has appealed to president Umar Yar’Adua to order the judiciary to release him because he did not commit the offences he was accused of.

He told P.M.News in his Kirikiri cell that he is fed up with staying in the prison and wants to be set free now. According to him, “please help me tell president Umaru Yar’Adua to order the judiciary to release me now because 10 years after I was arrested and charged to court, nobody has been able to prove that I committed the offences leveled against me.”

Orji quoted from a portion of the Bible (1 John 8:32), which, according to him, his pastor instructed him to read everyday: And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

”Now I have known the truth, I think I should be allowed to walk away as a free man,” he added. After quoting the Bible, Orji went into a trance and was saying some strange things to some unseen spirits. None could fathom what he said. Commenting on Orji’s behaviour, Deputy Comptroller of the prison, Mr. I. A. Ogunmola, said Orji cannot be taken seriously.

”His medical report stated that he is insane. You, too, can see,” the prison official added. Orji, now 43, was arrested in February 1999, by the police, under the bridge along the Apapa-Oshodi expressway. He was subsequently charged before the Ebute-Metta Magistrate’s Court, on 19 February.

Items reportedly found on him at the time of his arrest are a cheque for the sum of N88,000; cell phone, allegedly sent to him by his brother, Linus, Managing Director, Crocodile Nigeria Limited. Other items were identified as fresh and roast human flesh, bones and some women underwear. His arrest was celebrated in the media. At a time, it was speculated that he had died in custody.

Iceland has announced a new government that will be headed by the modern world’s first openly gay leader.

Johanna Sigurdardottir was named new prime minister by the country’s coalition political parties, the BBC reported on Sunday.

Iceland’s previous coalition cabinet of PM Geir Haarde collapsed last month under the strain of an escalating economic crisis.

Sigurdardottir’s government said on Sunday it would immediately start to tackle Iceland’s crisis.

“The government inherits enormous difficulties due to the banking and systemic collapse as well as considerable and rapidly increasing foreign debts and liabilities of the national economy,” the new coalition said in a statement.

It said its priorities would be replacing the board of governors of the central bank and to ask a parliamentary committee to look at the possibility of entering the European Union.

Sigurdardottir, a former social affairs minister, is the member of the Social Democratic Alliance.

According to the BBC, the 66-year-old’s appointment as interim leader - until elections in May - is seen by many as a milestone for the gay and lesbian movement.

“I don’t think her sexual orientation matters. Our voters are pretty liberal, they don’t care about any of that,” Skuli Helgeson, Social Democratic Alliance’s general secretary, told the BBC.

Sigurdardottir - who has never hidden her sexuality - is, nevetherless, very private about her personal life, never discussing it in public.

it all depend, if he became a member and choose to do the work of God by singing, i see no reason why he should asked to be paid, except he is not doing it for God but for money. If he was a musician b/4 he came to the church and he asked to be paid befor he play music, if the church needs his service then they could pay him, in this case he is seen as employed by the church to sing.
