RabbiDoracle: With your TA, you make money. The FAs in the house still make their money. So your challenge doesn't make sense.
It's like Usain Bolt (king of short distances) challenging Haile Gebrselassie or Kenenisa Bekele in Marathon. Geb can't challenge Usain in 100m dash either.
Make your money, no one envies you. When it is time, the FAs go make their money. For now it is buying time for the FAs.
You seem to be advertising your idea to draw people into paying you. The guy is just a scam Those who truly understand TA know this is not the best time to trade stocks on NSE. |

meshpips: I will help you see what I have pioneered here.
I am the FIRST to use price-volume analysis to make informed trading decisions on this thread.
Let me help you a bit 'cos obviously you've not been taught to know how important volume is when dealing with markets.
Question 1 If I purchase stock XYZ at 50.00 NGN and some extra at 60.00 NGN. what is my average buying price?
Question 2
If I purchase 1,000 units of stock XYZ at 50.00 NGN and some extra 20,000 units at 60.00 NGN. What is my average buying price PER UNIT.
do the calculations and notice the huge variation between the answer obtained. What is the difference between the two questions above?
Volume is what distinguishes me from others in the pack. I stand in a class of my own feeling fly with my zobo drink.
Hope I have helped you see in what way I stand out from the others? I am not the one to fall for your antics here. Your real motive is to hide behind TA to gain personal advantage over unsuspecting members. You are nothing more than a pretender. It is my sincere wish and hope that none will fall a prey in your hand in this forum. |

Unsolicited advice is hardly ever taken seriously.
Those that truly want the information can contact me.
Man has the freedom to choose and you sir can choose to overlook the post.
Thanks again. You are not the first person to make recommendations here based on TA. For those who can see, one can easily distinguish a genuine analyst from a pretender. |

RabbiDoracle: And the devaluation isn't coming.
There are pointers one will need to look at to see that devaluation is imminent. The black market isn't even depreciating so fast unlike what we saw in 2015 - 2016 and oil price is still steady at 60+.
So what pointer are you looking at to say devaluation is coming? I agree there are no pointers to suggest that devaluation is coming now. My argument is all about supporting the point why we should fear devaluation. For pointer to devaluation, I look at oil price, if oil price is falling, devaluation will not be far away. Having said this, I am not comfortable with the current market situation. Is like its only the banks that are making more profit. If oil price is relatively stable and the economy/ stock market is like this, what do you think will happen if oil price should fall and the economy gets worse. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 10:01am On Jul 16, 2019 |
RabbiDoracle: So if you are holding N1b of stock and on announcement of devaluation, you sell off your N1b stock and buy USD? How do you want to change N1b into USD? Via black market? And you will get alert of USD credit in a Nigerian bank?
Devaluation will make stock cheaper in USD terms. It means that those with USD will can buy more units and this will even cause a strong price rally because more money is chasing the stocks. But I doubt if people will just offload because of news of devaluation. Some may due to small fund they use on trading but those with tens of billions will stay put and when they have more money, they buy if prices have not started skyrocketing. No sir, you don't sell when devaluation has set in. The best is not to be heavily invested in stocks at the point of devaluation and that is why people will continue to run away from stocks when they suspect devaluation might happen. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 8:52am On Jul 16, 2019 |
RabbiDoracle: You are making a mistake.
You can always beat devaluation when you stay invested in the stock market if you consider dividends + capital appreciation.
The last USD/NGN devaluation was from 157 to 360. This is just 56% depreciation. Stocks have returned higher than this percentage between 2013 and now.
So no dey fear anything. The main thing is to buy low, stick with banks because na Dem go enjoy the devaluation via revaluation gains or petroleum marketing stocks because they must have imported at the current rate before devaluation (and subsequent increase in fuel price). Devaluation will affect everyone holding naira assets negatively. With devaluation, stocks will definitely get cheaper and one can easily get double units of shares one would have gotten pre devaluation. And for those with dollar assets,it is a doube gain, as they will have more money in naira to now pick stocks at a very low price. Bottom line, we should all endeavor to diversify our assets base to take advantage of emerging scenarios. |

Mpeace: Zenith loan to deposit ratio is just too low. 42% as at December 2018, meaning they need to give out loans in trillions before September. Access q1 2019 shows 52%(also lower than the threshold) Gtb full year 2018 stands at 56%. Fbnh stands below 50%.
But its not all bad for them all. Fidelity has 79% loan to deposit ratio. Fcmb equally has no problem in this regard.
In as much as I want to commend the CBN for a desire to improve liquidity and loan to the private sector, I also think they are too irresponsible in their approach. Banks would always want to give out loans as long as they can easily be recovered. Loans actually give greater returns to banks than the government securities. But unfortunately, banks face greater risk from NPLs and high cost of time and money in recovering these loans. If only the CBN can pursue policies that ease the process of loan recoveries, I believe banks would be encouraged to give out loans. Anything other than this would spell danger to banks from huge NPLs. Remember, many Nigerian investors collect loans with no plans to repay them. Fidelity stands out as the bank to be least affected. There is a high possibility of a reduction in profit of some of the tie 1 banks most especially zenith. It might be time to reduce exposure to banking stocks as i see the policy hurting some of them. Banks will rather allow CBN to have their capital than giving out unnecessary loan. |

rebekah2011: Ordinarily, this period should have been planting season for many of us but the economic direction of the country is not too clear. It is only the banks that are making money. Dangote Cement is busy getting CPs financing left and right. I pity the investors in the FMCG, the outlook for that sector is not good at all.
Maybe we will need to appeal to the experts to come out and analyze stocks to pick for the next half of the year. The situation is not good for the stock market. When the banks are the only ones making money, it might be a time to take a pause... |

Will it take it back to 520 ?? Emeifele did nothing to bring Nigeria out of recession. We came out of recession because oil price recovered. If oil price goes lower again, the naira will be devalued and we might get into recession again. |

aremso: If naira is floated and you are able to get $ @ 360 and let say it floated around #600 am sure you would be happy you have made a bigger kill! But when you change the $ to naira @ 600. Will you spend the money in another economy? Remember there will be serious inflation so in the long run nothing change unless you are spending your change naira in another economy and not in Nigeria It is not about patriotism, it is being pragmatic and proactive. If you keep all your assets in naira, you get poorer every time the naira is devalued. Having a strong currency is not by wishful thinking, as long as we are not doing what is necessary to have a strong naira the naira will continue to weaken either we like it or not. |

We should remember that Mtel also started when MTNN and Econet were both given licenses. I know that no one will be interested in buying Glo because no one can be sure of what he/she is buying. Let us as a Country be interested in encouraging FDIs whilst we tighten all loose ends by ensuring that businesses that comes here are appropriately taxed according to our laws and regulations. Thank you my brother. People are talking about mtn because of their success story. The truth is everyone wants to be part of this good business and they now want sec to change the rule so that they can get in. At the right time, the shares will be available, anyone who desperately wants to buy mtn should just exercise patient. |

RabbiDoracle: The question I have to ask is this:
The fine that FG billed MTN, has it been paid? Which entity will pay it? SA or the Nigerian entity upon listing?
If it is the Nigerian entity, won't there be extraordinary item/provision from their profit to pay off this?
Won't this make them start having a loss till it is finished being paid?
What was their agreement with FG on this issue? Was it we list first and then we will discuss later?
This isn't a text for you not to buy o. I think I have a report on that, will post when I can lay my hand on it. About 2/3 or there about have been paid and they have a well laid out plan on how and when to pay the balance |
