Good morning Gurus in the house, and compliment of the season.
I applied for UK Visiting Visa and I was refused. Pls advice needed on reasons for the refusal.

The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2-V4.6 of Appendix V because;
• You have applied to visit the UK for the purpose of visiting relatives for 21 days.
• You state you are employed with a monthly income of 242,993.58 NGN (£239.42)
with savings of 1,936,488.00 NGN (£1,908.00). I note you intend to personally spend
2,500,000.00 NGN (£2,463.22) and your monthly spending is 150,000.00 NGN
(£147.79). You intend to stay with your brother.
• In support of your application, I note your salary statements, employment documents,
bank statement from GTCO (account ending Bleep) with a closing balance of
3,478,868.39 NGN (£3,427.69) and all other relevant documents you have submitted.
• I have acknowledged that your sponsor is willing to provide adequate support for a
limited visit to the United Kingdom; however, it is your circumstances and intentions
which are paramount in assessing your application. The personal bank statements
you provided shows large cash deposits. I am not satisfied that this information
represents an accurate reflection of your personal circumstances because
your accounts show irregular deposits that are not in keeping with your stated
income. The information submitted with your application offers no insight into how
these funds were accrued. I am therefore not satisfied that you have accurately
portrayed your financial circumstances. This in turn leads me to doubt your intentions
and credibility in wanting to travel on this occasion.
• Furthermore, I note your monthly disposable income is 92,998.10 NGN (£91.63). You
therefore intend to spend more than 25 months disposable income. I am not satisfied
you would be willing to spend such a disproportionate amount of your disposable
income on such a short visit to the UK. This damages the credibility of your
application. I am not satisfied your intentions to enter the UK are genuine.
• The factors mentioned above have not been taken in isolation but considered
collectively. They damage the overall credibility of your application, leading me to
doubt your intentions in seeking to visit the UK for the limited period and purpose
stated. From the information on your application form and the documents you have
submitted, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that you
are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under
paragraph V4.2 (a) and (c).

Your budget should be 2months of your disposable income.i.e income minus expenses. Anything outide this is likely to be refused.

Yes. But It was coursework I contested though not exam. In my own case. I went through the feedbacks and saw that the lecturer dropped some comments of some things I did as a reason for not getting the full score.
But u have to be diplomatic about it. In my own case there was there was a particular question that didn't come with feedback. So i wrote something along this line " that I have received my score for the assessment thanks for the feedbacks and I have taken corrections for the questions. But that point this and that appearing on page so so so was erroneously skipped, hence the feedback and will appreciate a second look. lastly question so so so didn't come with a feedback that I will like to have a feedback to help me with future assessment.
I sent it through mail and the marks increased tremendously. But approaching the lecturer in person is a better way than sending mail.
In my own case the lecturer responded the next day that she was going to take a look at it and that the score was not the final thay the second marker was yet to mark or review . Whatever you do be diplomatic so that they dont wait for you during exam. If it is looking somehow please just take a bow and it go. But mind who you discus this with cos sometimes theu will beef u. I didn't mention to any anybody what i was going to do cos didnt want anyone to dampen my morale. Those people saying cos u got B u shoukd relax dont mind them. You neva can tell what other courses will be like. It is the one u have now that u havem

1. A lot can be determined within the short 30-minute interview by both the interviewer and interviewee, and there is also a probation period.
2. Why would anyone chicken out of a prospective great role if they are confident of their ability?

Haha Noo I am saying people should not try Noo. What i am saying is that thinking of "I am skilled" and others are not. A guy played that card in my class and where did it land him at the end of the day? Not like he is dumb but where did it land him?. The race is not for the swift does not mean people should not prepare. I do not have anything against people. The person who brought me to the level I am in my career today is my white boss. In healthcare assistant jobs theu are crazy about cert because they easily pass that but when it comes to the other one they say it is skills cos u cannot defend it so much during interview.

My offer letter explain the salary scale well,it is stated therein that band 4 is £23+k while band 5 is £26k-£32k depending on experience. I have got 10yrs experiences in Africa &Asia prior my work in UK

Hmm I dont know but an offer should carry a specific salary you will be paid. But it depends again on the wordings of the contract.

Yeah, but I guess Home Office also understands that it's not the employee who pays the tax directly to the govt - it should be deducted as salary is received. And the employee can also present payslips or something to prove the actual salary they were receiving at that time.

Home office may never understand. Anything that makes them visit that file they may not want to understand. They may go as far as making the employer face one sanction or the other but that will no exonerate the individual.

Yes, these are hard times. He will move soon, but again it is possible that the salary written on His cos is that amount but written as band 5 and then came to the UK to discover that salary is band 4. If the later is the case, There wont be any problem.

Hmm, that's risky o. Expecially considering we are all looking forward to having ILR. We've had cases of people whose ILR applications were denied cos of tax payment issues.
Cos Home office will use the official records available to them to judge how much tax you should pay however, with a less hourly rate, it would appear to them like you are paying lower taxes which could be taken as some sort of evasion.

Don't isolate one part from another. That same page talks about cases you can be paid less. Do not isolate them.

What did you say about the salary of 26,200? I brought out a section that says u can be paid between 70 and 90% if the job is on the shortage occupation. bring a section where home office said the minimum salary must be 26200 or refused for health and care visa.

Home office does not/ cannot issue COS with any kind of wages.... It is the employer that assigns COS to a job applicant with the salary they desire to pay.... If the salary they choose is less than what home office has established as the minimum( i.e., £26,200 per year or £10.75 per hour) the application will be refused....
Check ur husband's COS....and confirm before u apply for administrative review..... my suggestion is to reapply for another application because administrative review can most times take too long even if u get the refusal decision overturned...

@awamade you can always do your research yourself. advance Dna dont confuse people you can be paid between 70% and 90% if your job appears on the shortage occupation list.

When you can be paid less
You might still be able to apply for a Health and Care Worker visa if your job is eligible but your salary is less than £26,200 or your job’s usual ‘going rate’. You must still be paid at least £10.75 per hour.

You can be paid between 70% and 90% of the usual going rate for your job if your salary is at least £20,960 per year and you meet one of the following criteria:

your job is in a shortage occupation
you’re under 26, studying or a recent graduate, or in professional training
you have a science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) PhD level qualification that’s relevant to your job (if you have a relevant PhD level qualification in any other subject your salary must be at least £23,580)
you have a postdoctoral position in a scientific role

This UK! But i wont mention the school. Although truth be told some students have theirs. Thay same school another course they were given assignment in a quantitative course and the lecturer was able to establish "collabo" I don't know how the lecturer came about it but someone affected told me she copied but that it is a quantitative course and answers are supposed to be same. Lecturer carried about 40 students to the panel. She was able to prove cases of malpractice and it was agreed that the students should resit. The lecturer was not impressed with the judgement she felt the judgement was not enough for the offence but there was nothing she could do. During the resit theu found another "collabo"" in about 20 students. The lecturer didnt bother to carry them to the panel the lecturer failed all of them. None of the students took the matter up either with the student support or student union. That is why i said "some students have theirs"

The policing of grades some schools do it. Not easy unlike before to be scoring anyhow. When i heard What some schools score people. In my school who born u? To the extent that two departments in different schools or faculties as we call it in Nigeria took the case to the student union. I won't mention the school but out of 86 students or so I heard only 7 graduated in a particular course. Many were asked to withdraw.

During my initial interview I gave a figure that was above my current pay, now they insist on me providing the payslip before proceeding to the next stage of the employment process.

The thing is I have monthly bonuses not captured on the payslip and I fear not providing evidence would make me disqualified for the role.

Will they actually contact my current employer to verify the payslip?

@Missjelkyll is not entirely wrong. I think she was trying to say there was no way she would have passed the residency test. Although Akshata does not have dual citizenship. But citizenship doesnt entirely exempt you as it is written that once u live 15 years in the last 20yrs in the uk, u cant claim non -domicle staus. You are also right cos if the HMRC cannot prove her residency with substantial evidence, na shout una go shout as it only takes someone who is "morally upright" to admit she is resident in the UK. However, Akshata did not claim relief for non-dom status in 2022 from what i read on wikepedia. That can be seen as doing it because of the husband's position. Limelight comes with a cost.

If he does not pay tax cos of his non dom status I doubt if anything can be done about it. You have to change the rule for biz with non -dom status pay tax. Most businessmen set up complex group structures to allow them avoid tax. Although I don't know how complex his business is but I won't be suprised if his business is domiciled in places like Bermuda, Dubai known to be tax havens. You be shocked to see that where the business is domiciled has nothing but a letter box and a receptionist at most. His tax planner did a good job.
However, that company will not be exempted from VAT.
For HMRC part of transfer pricing wahala get a good tax consultant they will tidy up your transfer pricing documentation.

I’ve not advocated for reverse or zero migration, in fact I’ve criticized the merry-go-round position (come today, go tomorrow is unfair and wrong). Rather I believe “sustainable” migration should be the goal.

Since we’re creating boogeyman arguments now — why do you want the UK to open the floodgates and banish visas/immigration controls so 10million people can come in annually? It’s foolhardy to think there’s no limit to how many can come regardless of who came first. Every civilized nation has border controls for reason.
