alj harem: Yeshehehehe look at this chameleon. Who doesn't know what you are. Lmao |
Tambuwal, defection, capture, bla bla bla. Ladies and gentlemen, behold APC, the new face of PDP! |
I am sure APC will welcome them, they love ex-PDP goons! |
Hehehehe Pa Eziachi in his element. Anyway, I wont even vote him as VP let alone president. SW must learn to respect other regions and have to WAIT. All this gra gra APC politics will not hoodwink anyone. This Nigeria. |
Wait for the agreement document to show up, then arrest someone for forgery! If anything of such appears on paper, most certainly it is forged. And it is a serious crime to forge the president's signature! |
eGuerrilla: You will the answer you seek in the complete version of that articleThanks. But I still don't see any plot to weaken the governors. What I garnered from the article is that the President want to meet with a group called G84. But it is not stated if the governors are excluded from the meeting, or prevented from having a separate session with same group. And whatever 'plan' the chairman wants to intimate the G84 with, obviously is a figment of the writer's imagination, which he conveniently failed to share with us. Perhaps we should blame this on poor penmanship of the writer. He has failed to communicate, rather choosing to speculate. |
Still trying to figure out how the election of the so-called G84 chairman translate to a move to weaken the governors, let alone how such serves GEJ's interest! |
APGA, and by extension other small/regional parties, can only die if they lose grassroot support. As long as they keep identifying and supporting the best candidate from the local population to represent them, they stand a survival chance. The reality on ground now in any case is that APC is peopled mainly by one chance politicians, with no shred of common ideological footing, except of course the desire to grab hold of power at the centre to for the sake of sharing national cake. Once the sharing/allocation formular is not acceptable to some of them, expect them to gravitate to another party or form new one. We have seen this happen several times, in Africa. That a man who intend to build a house has garnered enough bricks and mortar does not necessary means that the house has been build. It will therefore border seriously on precipice of naivity to raise so soon in a applause of dawn of new era of two party state, as nothing concrete is in place. APC as far as Nigerians are concerned are bunch of hyenas who have gathered to scavenge. Now the jury is out whether they would stick together in thick and thin. If I were a betting man, I'll bet one buck that these pack will collapse as soon as they realise that they cannot get what they desire from the new party. In other words, the era of two party state is yet to come. It is too early in the day to write the obituary, let alone bury APGA. |
When strange bedfellows gather to share Some go to the sharing ground with forks, some with knives or spoons. Yet still other emerge from the shadow with cutlass, hoes, spades and shovels, all in the spirit of loots sharing. Anyway, I wish Share well! |
jas_o: Some people seem to not know what make a good leadership. We have to remove ethnicity for quality. however, the process of emergin candidate must be thorough. Money and influencial should not be a yardstic at a detriment of quality. The person can still come from same region with serving president, or any region in Nigeria. therefore, what should be taken most important is the quality in aspect of intergrity, accountability and effectivenes to be back upon by anticident of such quality in every sphere such pottential candidates has effectively managed in the past.Leadership qualities can be find in large dose in every ethnic group. What we are saying is find a good leader among the Igbo members of APC and nominate such person as president. If you cannot find a good Igbo in APC, then ostracize all of them and declare it publicly. But pretending that good leaders can only be found among hausa and Yorubas only is complete BS. So we say congrats to Rochas for joining APC, but he should know that if he fails to get the nod of his new party as the presidential flag bearer, then he should consider himself on his own. I don't know how the VP slot will work for him anyway. One more thing, he cannot drag APGA along with him, he should decamp! |

Ngwakwe: For goodness sake can you just stop this superiority claim of your tribe and demeaning other great leaders.I think the guy is just the typical. His definition of competence is carefully masqueraded by the ethnic lense. He simply choose not to recognise those individuals simply because the do not fall into hois catchment area. Certainly such folks cannot even be reasoned with, even when the allude logic as their navigational signpost. I think he is best ignored. |
ckkris: PointB, you're too much. King of LagosYour diminishing return analogy is very apt. It's unfortunate that our friends have run out of lies so fast, and are now desperately struggling to sell 'logic' to us? I.e. Sell ice to the eskimos. Na for where that dey happen? The question perhaps we should ask our logical friend is: 'Where was logic, when Obj came from prison (with convict mentality) to become the president for two term? Where was logic when sick Yar Adua the reclusive governor of back water Kastina became president? Where was logic, when 'shoeless' GEJ was elected? Now they want to ask for logic. Anyway, we are watching. I hope someone will not say had I known when MEND and MASSOB combine to make Nigeria ungovernable for the next President. That seem to be the most important logic in Nigeria by miles. Btw, it's Igbo not Ibo. |
kingoflag: [s] Well, no insults, but I wouldn't consider you "a rational person" as you self-proclaimed above. Your posts are usually tinged with "ethnic superiority" over others and are largely sentimental as opposed to logical. Again, like I said, this is not to denigrate you,I don't have the time for the mundane especially by the mendacious. So I've struck out what I considered such in your post, at least the very obvious. Now let me answer your rhetorical questions just for the fun of it. Q1. Do you really believe that an Igbo man should be made president just because of where he's from and what language he speaks? A. Beyond language and ethnicity, there are tonnes of Igbo men and women amply qualified to lead Nigeria to greater height. Folks in the mould of Soludo, Emeka Anyaoku, Dora Akunyili, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Barth Nnaji, Nnamani etc. These are some few proven performers in various fields of endeavour. Even in APC, men like Ngige, Rochas. Why not them? Q2. Do you really believe that a party which Igbos are already distancing themselves for should field an Igbo man as it's Presidential nominee? I take you refer to APC. As there are Igbos distancing themselves from APC likewise are some yoruba, some hausas and other tribes. Only that some of you folks only view things with ethnic lens so much so that you forget that several Igbo sons and daughter have also rush to embrace the new party even some as founding members. Is Ngige, Udenwa both former governors in SE (Igbos) not chieftain of APC? Must all Igbo embrace the new party? Where does this happen? On Mars? Q3. Do you really believe PDP will field an Igbo man as it's Presidential candidate? A. Why should that be beyond believe? Q4. If everyone said today "okay, let's field an Igbo man", tell us one QUALIFIED Igbo man whom you think would be acceptable to all. Refer to answer given in Q1, with a caveat that not candidate, not even Jesus will be acceptable to ALL! Now Whether 2015 is the last chance for Nigeria or not is only a matter of speculation. You seek unity, I lay a path before you. And if perchance, Nigeria does not get it right and dissolves in 2015, it will be because folks like you choose to over-analyse, when it is obvious that the issue in question is a matter of the heart. And in the case of such eventuality, only fools will shed tears for Nigeria. |
kingoflag: Well, I don't know if ure right or wrong (although, going by reading your previous posts, which are tainted with derogatory statements against other ethnic groups) I'll bet it's safe to say that you're once again just blowing the smoke of division; which seems to be your forte.Refer to your last statement. There is nothing falling from heaven that the earth will not receive. And there is nothing new under the sun. I don't think many are motivated enough to lose a limb for one Nigeria in any case, not even the international community! |
superior1: And this same you will ask that APC should file an Igbo presidency candidate, continue fooling yourselfAnd why not. Aint there other credible Igbo men in APC? Is Ngige not there? And has Rochas not join them? Can't they pick any of them? If the want APGA to join them, why can't they do things properly? Must they behave like thugs, liars, and rogues to achieve a merger. Really these ACP guys must be deluded to think Igbo vote for parties. Present a credible Igbo candidate and see whether parties matter to us or not. But APGA need not join the merger by crook or crane! |
kingoflag: Well, won't you be asking for trouble if that's the only way that will happen? We are already in trouble oga. Or are you enjoying your one Nigeria. Today we have BH, what is to say that it won't back to the creek when GEJ leaves? Besides, what will prevent MASSOB turning into a monster if Igbos are schemed out in the next republic? Guy, we can keep hoping for a united Nigeria for aye risking an implosion or do what is needed to earn the support of the Igboman in the one Nigeria project via an Igbo president. It's a leap of faith Nigeria needs to try, having tried various options to unite the country. But we dally daily, and over-analysis. We easily forget that an average human is rule by sentiments, few are swayed by logic. And the popular sentiment by a huge swath of the population (especially Igbos) is that they are been shortchanged in the Nigerian project. Now I am a very rational person. I consider myself fairly swayed by logic, and believe in merit over mediocrity and ethnicism (this very much I practice at work place). But on this matter of Igbo presidency, I will allow my sentiment to hold sway, as I believe it's the most logically thing to do. Now if I, with a fairly good education and exposure, think like this, how much more others, in their millions, who may not have such benefit of exposure. My guy, your trouble is best imagine if this 'unfairness' continues. And it is only a matter of time before it all explode before our very eyes. I hope by then we wouldn't have crossed the rubicon. Guy, let's hope for the best, while we prepare for the worse. 'Agbo nu n'akrika' (There is a snake in the palm frond.' |
Jimoh Ibrahim, Obj, Bode George, Tinubu, Bankole, what do these people all have in common? |
Btw, nice on COAS. |
kingoflag: And even if all the GOCs were from a single zone, and could even trace their ethnic background to one group, isn't their job to defend and protect the country? Hopefully, one day, Nigeria gets there and start seeing itself as one.The bolded can only happen the day an Igboman becomes a president. Otherwise, we can keep dreaming, until the roof collapses on all of us! |
Rochas joined APC on his own volition, and I certainly cannot hold it against him. But it will do AC.N or APC (whatever their name is these days) some good to stop peddling lies about APGA joining them. Lai should stop lying, merging involves parties not individuals. APGA is not part of the merger (yet), Rochas is. I think AC.N should be able to make this important distinction by now rather than keeping up with this discredited lie that APGA is part of the merger. Are they that desperate? |
Teengers? Lmao! Haba, Bode this is a very wicked sliding tackle. By the way, did he also allude that Buhari who is approaching 75 is also a teeneger? Or is Tinubu that keeps reducing his age to 60 that is the teenger? Better clarification next time. |
Until I listen to Buhari, Ngige, Tinubu explaining the 'how' in a press conference, this is a bold white lie! APC is an Association of Power seeking Cabal. |
Sibrah: So can we conclude that Igbos voted GEJ in 2015 because they felt he was closer to them ethnically? If not, who are they going to vote for if Jonathan clinches the PDP ticket in 2015, The Igbo candidate or GEJ?Even GEJ will vote for a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2015. It will simply be adopted as an operation heal and unite Nigeria project. What better campaign strategy than that? |
Ohanaze is on point here. Most Igbo voters will heed their call and support a party that fields a presidential candidate of Igbo extraction. I know that APC permutation is based largely on the touted voting population of other regions to clinch power. But the voting population they count on may not necessarily present a complete picture. To win the presidency, you will need 25% of votes cast in at least 24 states in addiction to winning the majority vote. This is where the Igbo votes counts, and to trifle with this is to make the same mistake Buhari made in 2011. ANPP and AC.N boast of credible Igbos in their midst, it's time to show those men who have sacrificed a lot to these party that their contribution are recognised. What stops AC.N for instance from nominating Ngige as presidential candidate from their party? Or is he only good as merger committee member? How about Rochas that braced the element to join them, is he not worthy enough? Time now for APC to think deeply about Ohaneze's offer, no one can win election in Nigeria without the Igbo votes. You can take this to the bank! |
To my Igbo brothers and sisters, I agree Jonathan has been fair to Igbo and indeed to other ethnic groups especially Northern based ones in his politiacl appointments and spread of development. I also support the argument that he has been instrumental in hastening development of the SE through the Enugu Airport and Onitsha port. I fear these projects will not see daylight under an hausa or yoruba presidenncy. Obj 'commissioned' an invisble second Niger bridge project For starter. The various past Military rulers of Nigeria from the North including Buhari did nada for the SE/SS in terms of projects citing and economic development. Hence it is easy to understand the apprehension of joining force with a party will not protect our interest mega or micro! But Rochas involvement especially at this stage provide us with challenge and opportunity. I would therefore call for circumspection in this matter. Let us be very careful not to throw away the baby with the dirty water. We need to look at it dispassionately, rather strategically. We need to asked ourselves few questions like: What if the merger works and wrest power from GEJ in 2015? What if it does work and GEJ get reelected, what happens from from 2015 and beyond? Will GEJ still be expected to deliver anything of interest to the SE when not bound by re-election politics? What is of paramount importance to the SE/Igbo - Infrastructural/economic development or political emancipation? Secession? Resolution of these questions are critical in determining how best to approach this Rochas challenge. To be continued... |
seunfly: What are u saying? They should forget about SE vote. This is calculation, SW is not making it a must to the presidency and by ACN presence they have SW vote, while they need to sell them selves in SE atleast to capture 60% southern vote. So what is ur own opinion? What he is saying is that for the SE, it's the Presidency or status quo! |
Even the merged parties is of scavengers - bottom feeders. PDP is still top of the food chain - the top dog. Whether Nigerians will give power to the scavengers - APC, or stick with the top dog, PDP, is the subject matter of 2015. By for now and to emphasise, APC is a conglomerate of scavengers, not PDP! |
Fingers crosses, lip sealed. Waiting to see the list of Presidential Candidates of the two parties! |
Sincere 9gerian: If we want an Igbo president or VP, I would rather go for Soludo, Peter Obi, Oby Ezekwesili, Okonjo Iweala, etc but NEVER Rochas. Why not Rochas my brother. Rochas is already positioning himself in the new party, why shouldn't he be supported? |
KnowAll: Okorocha has hit d ground running as a Governor, i think that kind of person with mr no nonesense Ribadu would be a fantastic combination. Another plus for Okorocha is he grew up in Jos, i take it he can speak hausa, another unspoken and unwritten prerequiste for d top job 4 a southerner.Rochas as the Presidential Candidate will certainly swell the rank and file of SE vote. Pairing him with Ribadu will be a classic. I think the SE will massively support his candidacy! |
PROUD-IGBO:Naa bros, this thread will be too hot for the hypocrites! |
