In actual fact, 'arrest' and detention is the key to re-actualization of Federal Republic of Biafra. I foresee a day will say 2 - 3 million people will march to the various police and army posts in SE in support of the actualization of Biafran insignia, all wearing T-Shirt with the inscription: "I AM BIAFRAN, PLEASE ARREST ME!" and subsequently surrendering themselves to the police. Perfectly orchestrated, the Nigeria prisons system will struggle to cope with the number of Biafrans arrested and detained! The result will be people's power! |
Enugu is indeed Pride of the East! Much kudos to Spyder for his wonderful exposition. This thread should a reference point for other SE States. There is more work to be done! |
odumchi: Yes, you can. Onto the tribunal or as a contestant?Tempted to volunteer. But too many stuff in my hands these days. By the way, I sent you a mail. |
I hardly frequent the culture section. I would like to grace this debate as an observer. Perhaps, it's an opportunity to learn a thing or two. **picks a seat, and sits calmly** |
Onlytruth: My brother you have mail at hushmail. 9ja_I_hail: Ok i have sent it through the yahoo id.Messages acknowledged. Thanks. |
9ja_I_hail: Through Nairaland.I am unable to check my Nairaland email account, as i have long forgotten the password. I have tried recovering it to no avail. I am considering asking the Admin to help me effect an email change from the backend. You can in the meantime send me mail through pointb2012@ yahoo.com Or send a PM to PointB* (my alternate Monika) |
9ja_I_hail: You got a mail bro.Ok my brother. will check. Did u send it to the e-mail id I posted here? |
Aid to America from fugitive? lwkmd ![]() |
Nashville: Not sure how you can compare the two. Boko Haram is going about killing people and destroying property. These young girls are not affecting any lives. Do they force people to go to strip clubs or did they steal anybody's money? My point is that they are both breaking the law in - exercising what you call choices. Moreover, we cannot completely rule out the fact that some of those your girls in such strip clubs are victims of kidnapping, and human trafficking. Nipping such ill from festering is commendable. |
9ja_I_hail: My dear brother thank you so much for asking, i am ok and can assure you that everything had been going fine with me,just that winter is making the weather unfriendly but we are used to it. Onwe gi ife unra mere anya.Thank you so much for been your brother's keeper. This is the gospel we are preaching here in Nairaland among our Igbo brethren now you just put it into practice, you may not know how glad i am that you cared to ask about my well being. And you how about you and your family?Very well my brother. My family is doing great, and thanks for asking. Keep waxing strong my brother. The good Lord is your strength. |
Nashville: If these girls had good jobs and things to aspire for in life, they MAY not be pole dancing today. Some may chose to but most probably would not. Okorocha should look for ways of creating employment and giving the young people hope for the future not just banning strip clubs. If prostitutes are operating freely why not strip clubs. Why not just regulate them.Hear you: Boko Haram and suicide bombing is also choice people make because they could not get other job, hence should not be stopped? ![]() |
9ja_I_hail: My brother i really apologize for that, it's out of anger i responded to those two strangers,so painful how some of our people allowed this people to use them as a tool to destroy what we are doing.anyway i am sure they won't get my attention anymore.Very well. But point of correction, they only attempted to destroy, but they SHALL not succeed. In any case, let us be DOING, let them be TALKING. |
gwas: Would that reduce fuel price?? Would that fix our dilapidated roads? Would that make our girls virtuous? NO! Irrelevant!Don't be too sure that some of those girls strip on the own volition. In this era of kidnapping, and human trafficking, anything is possible. This sooner this evil is stopped from festering, the better for all of us. |
Abagworo: I'm not in support of the demolition of strip clubs. That's part of civilization. Religionists might call it what they can but aren't we seeing gay marriages nowadays? Such businesses should be given a specific age restricted area to operate. While I don't agree that the strip clubs should be demolished, I don't see what is 'civilized' in dancing naked like our ancestors, or gay marriages. I believe those who break the law, should be made to face the full wrath of it! And that include the strip dancers, and the openly gay! |
9ja_I_hail: @sis kill or whatever you called yourself, i did not waste my Golden time to read this nonsensical, senseless post you put above. I just want to advice you not to comment again as promised by you, please wait until Igbo's invite you for your help or contribution. Please don't break your promise. My brother, you self dey fall my hand. Have you not noticed how the uninvited (guests, pests, and trolls) want to sound smart, intelligent, and on point - even if it means repeating what has been said over a million times. Best ignore them, and the rants will fade - naturally. |
9ja_I_hail: Udo nwanne nke ukwu.By the way, I hope you are doing well today. I hope it's bright and sunny in your part of the world. |
9ja_I_hail: @BOLDED PointB i am glad you joined voice to call our people to order. My stance in this whole thing remained that any insult to Eze elected is an insult to the entire Igbo's on Nairaland, as a matter of urgent something serious has to be done as soon as possible to arrest the issue.Whoever felt mistreated or down graded need to be given sense of belonging.Thank you my brother, and comrade! |
ifyalways: And oh, Nwa uwa, you've got eyes. Nice observation. When Ogugua was 'insulted' as you put it. I was one of those who said ask people to cease fire, and to stop all act of 'de-marketing.' As per the 'insult' on Odumchi, I am yet to see any. While not saying that those who are not elected as Ezes should be insulted in this gathering, the institution of the Eze and Eze Nwayi is bigger than the individuals behind them, and should be respected by every Igbo. But if you choose to continue in your call for division simply because most feel the Ezes (incumbent and incoming) should be given maximum respect by Igbos at least, there is very little I can do than ignore you. |
Truth be told a lot of comments made by several Umu Igbo in the course of the election were not really helpful. Well, perhaps Eze OnlyTruth might have been forceful in his characteristic manner, perhaps not. But directly insulting him for whatever reason is not just an insult on the Leadership - but also the institution. I have no problem with challenging the 'records' of the Eze, and the effectiveness of his tenure or leadership. But for an Nwa Afo to join traducers in inciting hatred, divisiveness and abuse on the office of Eze Ndi Igbo - is indeed an insult to the Igbo community on Nairaland. We can disagree with the Eze (whoever he is) without resorting to gutter language. I am one for RULES AND GUIDELINES. I think in a future date, as has been previously suggested, some of the issue bordering on the Electoral Guideline should be discussed. A Code of Conduct for both the leadership and followership should be in place. Going forward, I think there MUST be consequence for Umu Igbo who denigrate the institution of the Eze. This must be documented. The Eze Ndi Igbo institution is such that should help foster unity among Igbos, and the annual election is a sort of rallying point. To let a few traducers to infiltrate our ranks, create confusion and discord is to ultimately defeat this purpose of the Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland institution - to the joy of enemies of Ndi Igbo unity. That is what we, Umu Igbo, must guard against in our utterances. Udo. |
This is a bold move, right in the heart of the commercial capital of this failed country. Well done boys! |
Malcolm-X:Without justice, there can be no peace! You don't kill 2 million people and pretend all is well! Hell no! Again to answer the op's question, We live in a 'united' Nigeria. But asking Igbos to trust Yorubas will be asking too much. Yoruba should enjoy their one Nigeria! |
Katsumoto: This chap is very funny.Quit prancing like a cornered goat. Gowon coup did not sweep away the military leader of the SE. That alone made the coup unsuccessful. FACT! |
Katsumoto: What are you on about?Gowon coup was not successful in the East. The civil war was a extension of the coup. In successful coup, you neutralize all resistance. Failure to neutralize the Governor of the East meant that the coup was not successful. Fact! |
So can we lay a hand on this piece of confession, or we must necessary accept the opinions as fact because they appear online? |
Katsumoto: The governor of the East was seceding and the Head of State wasn't going to allow that.Which Head of State? The one that launched an unsuccessful coup? I still wonder how you turn logic upside down. |
Katsumoto: The Igbo president who was cooling off in the Caribbean while Nigeria was hosting the first commonwealth prime ministers conference. The same one that is allegedly cousins with the leader of the plot. The one whose personal physician, Dr Idehen, left in the Caribbean as he didn't understand why the president didn't want to return to Nigeria. And on this silly conjecture you built your warped logic that it was and Igbo coup. Wonder how some of you Yoruba guys reason. |
Katsumoto: Nigeria could have attacked Biafra through the North and Mid-west but it only attacked from the North and not mid-west. Why was that? Had the governors of the Mid-west and West not declared neutrality? So Governors of Mid-west and West can declare neutrality of the zone during in a conflict, but the governor of the East can not declare he does not want any thing to do with those hypocrites who declare neutrality or war! Duality, such as yours is classic! |
Katsumoto: What about Ifeajuna who was the leader, initiator, and planner?Indeed! And even so, which Igboman did he consult before the coup? Which Igbo political leader gave him the go ahead to plot a coup on behalf of the Igbo nation? |
