ndu_chucks:I disagree; The fact that you traveled through my road for a thousand years does not make you the owner. And as per settling, what if I refused you the right to settle in those thousand years you traversed my road? The fact that I enjoy your meat does not mean I would share my land with you, as a matter of fact, I would tax you for rearing your cattle on my 'road' then, and now. Asking government to designated road and landmarks for cattle herders is a non starter; many have suggested it, and let me add my voice to it once more - what the fulani herdmen need is cattle ranch! That is how it is done since the 20th century! Or have they not heard of how the American cowboys have metamorphed to ranch owners?? Like Sam suggested previously, continuous conflict between fulani herdsmen and local communities, will eventually hurt the herdsmen. Or how easy is it to return where you chopped off a man's hand or killed four men? Soon communities will learn how to poison the cows or entrap them, and their herdmen, then we will see exactly how manly these men are! |
Negro_Ntns:Including those who were posted there by the virtue of job? Are you not aware that women and children and those who have no serious business in those places have since moved back? What exactly is selfish in my response? Besides, those land are part of "One Nigeria", no? My friend quit what you are smoking, it aint helping you! |
Funny post, @Ahj Almajiri, Quit been a chameleon; no man has good enough memory to be a good liar! You are very pathetic liar, that's why most people don't take you serious, except your almajiri brethren. Even the Yoruba people you try to defend, laugh at you behind. You be complete m-u-m-u! ![]() |

jason123:While there are a lot of truth and candor in what you wrote, and while I agree that Igbos should stop investing in core north, I would still not support disorganized and erratic exit from the North. Igbos disengagement from the core north should be a careful and well co-ordinated process to avoid a refugee, and other crisis in the South East. |
Yea, I see a new messiah on the horizon. His symbol is Koran and Guns! Messiah indeed! Another monster in the making if you ask me: Kill them all! |
Mod, Please can you explain why this sensitive topic that borders on the potential future implication of Boko Haram bloodletting, ended up in the Joke section ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-858953.0.html#msg10084366 |
These people and their area boys mentality! Rascals all of them! Shame of a region! |
^^^^ When you wake up in the morning and all you could think about is Igbos. There could only be one of these two reasons for your action. 1. Envy 2. Hatred Whichever way you are a pathetic human being; indeed all of you that can't get of the Igboman ar/se! Pathetic treacherous cowards! |
I don't get it! Nomads in 21st century, when they should be using cattle ranch! Na wa o |
Too bad Igbos are still investing in 'expensive' properties up north when the should stop investing even in Lagos! Na wa o! |
^^^ Do they run almajiri system and are there suicide bombers in those countries? |
This is not a joke. This is potentially what would happen if boko haram reign of terror is not reigned in (no pun intended). A couple of weeks ago Boko Haram kidnapped German citizen. Lets assume it was a US or Israeli citizens that were kidnapped do you think those countries will leave the matter in the hands of our hapless secUrity force? Well I have news for you - no way! Just a couple of weeks ago, it was on news that US Navy Seal Team 6, responsible for the killing of Osama Bin Laden was involved in a rescue operation against Somali pirates. All 7 or more pirates were killed in the operations. Boko Haram is playing with fire, sooner than later, the US will be involved in curtailing their activities in Nigeria, direct or indirectly. I hope that does not give leeway to kidnap US citizen in other parts of Nigeria in retaliation! If that happens, US will definitely want the citizens back - unharmed! Then the potent for bigger mis-calculation will occur. Nigerians traveling in and out of US are guaranteed more attention; God help you if you are a Muslim! We are treating this Boko Haram issue as a joke. Wait until Nairalander start disappearing, especially the Boko sympathisers. It is coming . . . |
Actually, it's a different election. If I am not wrong, the inconclusive poll is for the election of the 'secretary general' of AU. |

Nice one from middle belt! More of this. |
Breaking News: Boko Haram attack U.S Homeland Tuesday July 29, 2014 Thomas Hank, Reporter Washington Post New York: — Coordinated terrorist attacks struck the city of New York, on Tuesday night, killing dozens in machine-gun and grenade assaults on at least two Universities, 3 four-star hotels, the city’s largest train station, a Jewish center, a movie theater and a hospital. New York Police Department said that the attacks killed at least 103 people and wounded at least 270. Guests who had escaped the hotels told television stations that the attackers were taking hostages, and shooting indiscriminately at those fleeing. Boko Haram is a Nigerian terror group that seeks to abolish the secular system and establish an Islamic state. They also seek to establish Sharia system of government in the West African country. Boko Haram has long advertised their strong connection with the Al Qaeda terror organization. Revenge attack "This attack in revenge of the death of our leader Shekau Abubakar who was murdered by Americans and Zionist interest," said a Boko Haram spokesman who goes by the alias Uztaz Mohammed, in reference to the late leader of the group who was killed in an operation to free U.S citizens kidnapped in the restive city of Sokoto, August 2013. The United State has long deny any complicity in the operation that was carried out by Nigerian troops. "As long as Americans continue to interfere with Islam, there will be no safe place for her citizens and interest", declared the spokesman. The US President Barak Obama, has promised swift and deliberate response to the attacks. The Nigerian Government headed by Goodluck Jonathan, has been requested to hand-over the mastermind of the attack to the United States Government. There has been no formal reaction from the Nigerian Authority as at this time. Homeland Security staff have re-opened case files of Nigerian citizens in the country, who are suspected sympathizer of the terror group. Intelligence source are monitoring chatters from Nigeria online forums (Nairaland, NVS) which in recent time has become a hotbed for boko haram and other terror group sympathizers. Meanwhile, an Aircraft Carrier - USS Enterprise, has been redirected to the Gulf of Guinea, en-route the waters of the restive West African nation! More details to follow later! ======================================================= Fellow Nigerians, I have just return from a time travel (joking), but we don't need a crystal ball to show what might be the outcome of the boko haram misadventure. If and when Boko Haram bites more than it can chew, it's "To your tent O' Israel." The North will pay for their inability to reign in their creation! I fear for Nigeria! |
Maiduguri, bauchi, Kano all fallen to sharia forces! Sokoto, the seat of the caliphate is next on the radar! Vulnerable southerners and middle belters, don't be caught unawares! Start making plans! North is going to the dogs! |
@Op Let me oblige you. I have a feeling you are Yoruba. So let me relate to you in the language you will understand: Were we to live in ancient Yoruba era, Ojukwu will dwarf Sango and Obatala combined. On the account of his impact on the live and course of history of Igboman, nay, Nigerians, he will compete favorably with Oduduwa the son of Lamurudu. Bottom line, if Ojukwu was a Yoruba man of that era he would be a deity and would be worshipped as a god - a god of war and justice! But he wasn't a Yoruba man and indeed Igbo have no culture of heroes worship! So allow us the honour and time to accord the necessary rite of passage to a symbol! His burial in my opinion is under-hyped! |
Advantage south! The net population loss in Kano (north) is net population gain for south. Put to good use, these migrant population can become a blessing to wherever the choose to settle! I hope my brethren make the right choice this time around! Alaigbo is far more developed than many zones in Nigeria. Only those who have not traveled to east in the past 5 years think otherwise. Welcome home to those who return, and God's guidance and protection to those who choose to tough it out! Whichever way, you made the right choice! |
Interesting. |
^^^ Delta state youth can always look 'behind' them for natural support! Trusting your fate with some folks from the tribe you mention will produce nothing but heart-ache from betrayal! Choose wisely, it might be your only chance! |
Na wa o. Una go kill person for this site oo! Which one is 'Subsidy Beggar?' very funny! @topic Nice one Fashola! It is always better to look at the bigger picture with the leaders than wasting ones energy responding to hate filled, bigotry consumed, megalomaniac nonentities like Negro_nut, eko_igbe, and Dayo_oponu. Peace! |
How did this escape me? May JTF punish Boko Haram for causing me distractions! @topic Nice and very smart move by Rochas. The good thing is that even without the 100 million upfront payment, 10 million a year is good; plus they have to pay the hitherto govt workers! But the agreement should be renewable just in case it becomes more profitable to the state to tax the company rather than the flat charge. |
Certainly on 'Aburi we stand' or Nigeria will never make any meaningful progress! Outright splitting of this aberration or confederation! |
Who trust Sahara misreporters these days? Certainly not me! |
@Valon4ego lol, glad you see the potential of this 'absurdity.' But contrary to your view that the south is 'reacting' to the Islamisation threat by from the North, I rather see Boko Haram as a reaction against the spread of Christianity from the south! A lot of northern folks have seen the benefit of Christianity, hence its embraced by a larger swath of the northern population is the last decade compared to the spread of Islam in the south! but would I blame discerning northern population for accepting what is good for them, in this case Christianity? No way! Now the question I am trying to answer is that: Is the resistance of progressive religion (Christianity) going to be future benefit to North or Nigeria? Frankly, I think not! |
Paragopro, there is no society without challenges and indeed Christian in the south east have had security problem. But then at the height of these challenges no one claimed the did what the did in the name of some god. And in no time their activities which were not supported by the local population was easily curbed by the security forces. This bring us again to the problem in the north; to what extent is the local population aiding the police or the terrorists? On which side are they and why? My opinion remains that either the Islam has failed the North or the North has failed islam. Either way, it's high time they parted ways! @9ja_I_hail my brother, i dey oo! No shaking. Let those who have ear hear. Today the Core North have being left behind, tommorow they might be deserted! 'NO MATTER HOW FAR ONE HAS GONE ON THE WRONG ROAD, TURN BACK!' |
Let's hope this works! |
^^^ Well said! |
@OnlyTruth That's the spirit. Splitting this aberration should be the first choice. All things considered! |

Really, I am confused! These are the people that killed you in the 60's(though it was out of anger back then) and you still go there in the thousands while your land and maybe your southern neighbour's land suffer. I heard some did fight in kano or kaduna before but why can't they now? It's simply because there are certain matters you can't stay and "fight" about, if you do, it would be your death sentence. After all, after the elections, did the same people stay and fight? NO! Small street fights are way different from what is/might happen now.
). If its being a "chemist" and you think there is too much competition, what happen to some SS villages? SW? Even the same SE? Okay, at worst, Middle belt!
