To leave home country you must be calculative otherwise, you will regret it. That's what all in the know say. But it's very hard to be calculative when you already have your ticket and the ground is burning under your feet! |

bepositive11: When you think about a black American, what's the first thing that comes to your mind? For most of us, it's drugs, shootings, fatherless homes, single mothers, aggressive behavior, prison history, and so on. Why will they not be perceived as second class citizens? Easy o! Remember their ancestors were forcefully taken over there and ENSLAVED. Then they had to face continuing discrimination and segregation. Cut them a slack! |

And we wonder why our society is failing?
I don’t want that to be my contribution to any society, abroad or Nigeria Well, it's true. I can hire a cook and a driver right now, how much more when I'm making 1.5m a month. Impossible abroad! Also I can get away with just about anything. If our politicians were abroad, 90% of them would be in jail! |

You cannot build wealth with an average job in any country in this world. You need to become a top executive or run your own business or invest in lucrative assets. I think this is quite right. Which is why I'd always be an entrepreneur even with a regular job |

AkhereOkaka: Are you this deluded, live in Europe without papers? I can talk of Europe cause I have been living and working in Italy since 2016, came back from Nigeria 3weeks ago, though things are tough in Nigeria currently (I mean cost of living) but it is worse off living in Europe undocumented (without papers). This is what people abroad say. But people in Nigeria say Italy, Canada, etc are heaven even if you don't have paper! |

AkhereOkaka: I live in Milan, Italy. Have a friend in Northern Italy he's been in the Asylum route for 7years asylum declined including appeal. And when you're not documented (have your papers) you can't work, rent apartment n access to medical and other benefit.
Asylum route is not advisable. Alot of Nigerians are suffering in Asylum camps in Europe and stuck. See my post and screenshot above, meanwhile you're working legally, and may find "way" before you have to face asylum judge! |

AkhereOkaka: Do you know how the asylum process works? Sometimes people come online to say what they know little or nothing about. I won't advise anyone to seek asylum, though I currently live in Milan Italy, have a friend who migrated to UK six years ago seeked asylum and currently his asylum has be rejected including appeal. Passing the asylum route is not advisable anywhere. The whole idea behind seeking asylum is NOT so you'll go before a judge. It is that it takes years to adjudicate, meanwhile you're working legally in the country, and find "ways" long before you have to face asylum judge! See below

fkj950ax: People living outside Nigeria do so for many reasons and not because of money only. Better lifestyle. Stability. Free education for children. Access to quality passport or citizenship that provides greater opportunity in future. In Nigeria you may appear privileged, but you will still endure the generators and area boys and bad roads and insecurity and substandard lifestyle and over priced lousy education and so many other nonsense. Abroad also has it's own problems. Plus, with generator, inverter, solar, and living in gated community, you'd actually be happier in Naija because of cheap labour and because you can get away with stuff if you have money - which is not the case abroad |
