It doesn't really matter much. No one hoards dollars more than Chinese government. There is more than enough dollars in the world - the thing is to have something that consistently brings it to Nigeria. That's why the underlying economy is really what matters. If Emefiele had succeed, naira would have been scarce - we could have had $1 = N100. But it wouldn't change much because the underlying economy was crap. It would be very hard to make that N100 and eventually wages would have to be lowered. You'd have $1 = N100 but you'd also have very serious recession if not depression!

1.Some of these countries are not very immigrant friendly. Japan in particular is pretty pretty anti-immigration. Russia as well. China too.

Naturally, I'm not blind, many countries, including the ones that appear to be immigration friendly really would rather have no or small immigration...restricted to those who they can use.

Well OP specifically mentioned those counties. Point is, countries don't automatically want Africans/Nigerians because their population is dwindling. Those countries won't want Africans even if their population is approaching zero - and it's not because they're doing Africans any favors!

Floating the market, means open market, multi sources of FX, competition and hoarding no longer viable .. these factor are tew strong not to influence positive change on the long run,
Nigerians are synonymous with now now, for the devaluation of Naira to take a desireable turn it will 1st rise a bit but it won't exceed 800+ at most BEFORE it dwindle, naira will gain value the moment we import less and do the norms for a start.
Nigeria problems are artificial, human created, going back to norms is enough to trigger positive changes

Optimal local production within the country will trim down Inflation drastically .. the govt just needs to be committed & sincerely, so far the govt of the day have shown pace & proficiency. we just have to give the govt time whether you like it or not, NO magic
