confusedworld17: I was at one event center to pick up a rider. Rider turned out to be the chef for the owambe. Rider wants to pack all her loads into my car. Even gas cylinder and that big iron burner that they use for those big big pots. I was so furious that I wanted to react and tell her that I'm not going but the little asshole in me whispered and gave me an idea of what to do. So I allowed her with the help of two of her boys to load their stuffs inside my trunk and the remaining one at the back seat to the extent that there was only a space for just one person at the back. Even the little space would not contain one person comfortably.
As if that was not enough, madam chef told one of the boys to lap the other one. Me was just standing by the side watching them do their thing because I already knew what I wanted to do. At that point, my rear bumper was about to kiss the ground.
Chef : Oga we are ready come and start the trip. Me : I'm not going again because of too much loads. Chef : But it was a driver like you that brought us here with all these loads. Me : No vex. I no know say the loads plenty like this. Chef : So why did you allow us to take the time and pain to load and now you want us to unload everything ? Me : No vex. They started unloading... me return to my watching position until they were done. As them suffer me, make me burn fuel to come do the work of a truck, nothing do me if I make them sweat small. The thunder wey go fire that driver wey carry all those loads still dey do press up for national stadium. The most stupid ride I took last week was getting a request at GTB Marsha from Adelabu going to Lawanson. I'm supposed to take Ogunlana straight down, I don't know if the woman watch me start the trip. R. Place let me get fruit at the other side M. Drove and pack beside the round about, thinking it was a quick buy (She alighted to get all d fruits in africa) She got into the car for me to start propelling. R. Please enter this marsha car park, I need to get some tin M. Straight face, temptated to talk, but remind myself, it will b better to get home in one peace, already pick a battle date with one rider today She came back after some mins and I zoom to take a turn just after doing that to Ogunlana R. Please park, I need to get groundnut here M. Jesus! Please just take this wheel @DeeDee, the fight nah next week o |

Bigleaf1006: Nigerian government and useless policies. How can you tell if I am Uber/ driver if I Noh show you my phone.
How can lastma or vio ask me for my phone and I will hand it to them? because I don't know how they can identify e hailing cabs without having to check drivers phones.
PEDPA will find it difficult to operate because e hailing is a tech business and cannot be subjected to conventional regulations.
Uber/ bolt will just close their physical offices and keep operations strictly online. Shikena I read what @babadee1900 post and I couldnt finish up, cos all I'm seeing is rubbish, like absolutely rubbish, but we have feeble minds, dat will cave in. Mykab going for a meeting, sound funny, who send them? How many trips deh don complete? Hen going to Lion battle ground. The so called union should take a back sit, nobody send them, they r completely stupid, including the Ayodele guy, they r mere opportunist looking for who to devour in the name of regulations... take a look at what delivery men r facing today, a tout that can't go thro d stress, stay put at a point and rip them off all the risk they have been endangered from point to points and our so called chairman and traditional leaders r backing them up, shame on all of them, nah to leave this country begot peace of mind pass. Let the so called Ayodele show us the number of trips he has completed? These people including the senior advicer to Sanwo lack knowledge, Uber or Bolt does not have office in Lagos state, they need to get that into their heads, so they should not expect them to b present in such stupid gathering, what they used to have is a place of gathering where they put a computer on a table and may choose to pack up with just one Ghana must go bag, no fixed asset anywhere, same reason is why Bolt careless if they open dia office or train any driver again... they can operate from sky, if the so called power drunks want to go after the drivers, let them, learnt they r disturbing ordinary cart pushers, Las Las majority of the populace will fall back to crime and become another menace to the society. As much as I feel for the yellow cab, time has grown pass that, the world is evolving and we must learn to evolve with it. Yesterday I said Uber/Bolt is more like a necessity, people do take it out of no option, I left home ard 5pm yesterday and by 10pm, I already made satisfactory figures, cos ppl in dia estate don't have the means to get to baba iyabo at dia park, unless they have to start keeping their numbers and it will b so difficult for baba iyabo to keep with d pace and energy will channel into making things work. Before banking industry get dis big, we have alajo shomolu that uses bike wit horn to meet his customers, but time has gone past that. I have said this without number, drivers need to go on a break, let lagos state roll out their so called cars and let's see how far it will work, we shouldn't b mentally deranged, and make our case like a security man that got fired and all he keeps looking for is security job as if his destiny is tie to security. We should b innovative, this greedy bastard won't stop coming for drivers since they can't touch uber/bolt, what they fail to understand is dose guys r willing and ready to leave Nigeria if need be. Just go offline and watch riders do the fight for you, mostly don't let anyone sit at ur back, unless the front sit is occupied and all phones off dashboard, let's see how dis battle plays out. |

sharpk007: U re doing well.... No money no delivery.
U needs to be sharp and streetwise even if na 100 naira ,I can only leave if ur attitude is good.
A funny one: took a rider from Lekki to Ikeja(3 friends 2 guys and one lady), d lady was busy complaining about almost everything from speed to movement... I just kept my cool, luckily for her she forgot her slippers inside the car after d trip, she called almost like 5mins after( in my mind I said God don catch U).
I told her I am on anoda trip and I can't turn back. She said she stays on d mainland bla nlaa blaa, I told her is either U order anoda ride to bring the slippers for U and just pick it up at Taxify office, she threatened me ooo.
I messaged taxify straight away and promise to drop the slippers at dere office at Lekki... And dats it... Dropped d shiit dere, if she likes she can go dere or just forget d slippers.
NB: dis Happened around January ndi madu ppl r wicked oo, so u can't help a sista? Once I see someone complaining like that, I already know s/he won't b d one paying for the trip. People r just funny and differ in mentality, I picked some one yesterday from Omole, despite not being in work mood, so I had to fitter trips to avoid heavy traffic. His request came in and I ask where he was going too, chief said Oregun, I start trip only to see ogudu with heavy traffic... Me: But u told me Oregun Rider: I will drop her in Oregun and u will take me to Ogudu Me: Sir, I'm not dumb when I ask u for ur destination, as you can see the traffic out dia, I don't want to b caught in it and you at a point start feeling unease to the point of finding another means. Rider: what do we do? Me: it's all up to u Rider2: when u get to my place, you will book another one In my mind better, dude was just being harsh all d way and I was matching his bigmanism with good response. The only mistake I made was not rating him 1 star and let him see as I tab the star... I already knew my rating will drop by 0.01, I just ask in my mind if that 1 star makes him feel better, cos I refused to b bullied. |

Phargbemmy: Issue is you need not call 95% of driver here Vampires, that means you r in a business whose ideas you fully do not understand. I was taught to always make the best out of the bad. Check ur own attitudes too, the very wrong person you see out there can be the best of use to you only if you have the wisdom to manage such a person. So to pull all drivers here together as bad is wrong (though its ur opinion), God who answered you will definitely answer them at the appropriate time.
Learn to manage what you have with wisdom and do not pull down!.

It is well... tho, I knew it's going to b like dis the moment I picked one girl on a 500 naira trip dis morning from one hotel and she was just shuffling thro d bra in her pulse to pay. I don't need any prophet to tell me, I've collected money from grandma's... had I know, I would have jus tell her not to bother |

Vision2045: Talking about loud...
Let me share a very funny experience I had today.
I picked those 2 guys at prime-water Garden lekki destination was to a bank inside lekki then to ajah and back to prime water .
While they entered one of the guy was mixing a substance inside a Miranda bottle (I later discovered the said substance was "MD" as the guys called it so).
They sha was sipping the mixture while I drive them from point A to B and C...while heading back to prime water from Ajah..the guys request I put on AC..I obliged before we got to the free tollgate same guys asked I put it off.... They were just stretching up and down inside the car (MD at work I guess)...
Then their gist started becoming headless....even revealing their fraudulent activities without minding me as a 3rd party.
The real drama...
one of the guys while approaching freedom way said he is in a savage mode and if he handle anyone he will beat the person mercilessly, to which the other guy verbally approved....for my mind I just they reason make I sha drop this guys make them carry their wahala go.
The one sitting at the front all of a sudden start whistling at people and show them the waka sign...and if anyone waka back, he will say stop stop.... I sha central lock...while I was about entering prime water..this mad guy repeated same thing....and the guy at the end said "e b like say u dey craze" na him this guy just open door go meet the guy o....before I know the one at the back joined him...
I sha reverse to know what was happening ...getting to the scene my riders dey ground with blood coming from mouth and eyes o...
The security called the Tennant housing them...them sha settle the matter I collect my money waka The guy go laff em self the next day, but boss u wicked oo, u allow ur rider go fight? Don't u know they r in ur care

Babadee1900: You are old school Girls these days fear me sha. My first rider on Friday, female, was on phone with her friend from sky mall to presken oniru. She was telling her friend about the previous night, how she wasted from drinking skushis and small stout mixture. Already making plans of how she will repeat same that day.
Carried one this morning before 9am from Ilasan, the moment she sat down, she said please I need 5h from you I need to get condom on the way, you will stop for me to buy it anywhere we see Aboki. I won't dispute that but I think is the morally inclined shoulder I was raised upon, I just can't get myself to complete a lot of stuffs. As much as rap is my favorite genre as in I'm some deep into it, way back 8 years, I remember having issues wit lady cos she try to change me and I still do, don't know why ppl see rap lovers as dwag... but I neva lost my psyche or give into drugs at any point in time, tho I can b a weirdo and odd in a very strange way. Like now I'm up listening to my music jeje and may b like dis till 8, d Monday rusher may not understand that I've wasted 6 days of my life driving like a mad person for uber (52 trips) I deserve some rest, I can not come & d*e |

Babadee1900: Offline trip is interesting. Let’s just be careful with riders we negotiate offline trips with.
The girl I took to Atican beach earlier bought 30,000 worth of ‘Loud’ on the way. Imagine what will happen if you are with that kind of a rider on offline and police stop you.
By the way, SCIID abi SARS are already on that Okun-Ajah road as at the time I was leaving. Some guys coming to the beach had to do a 360 turn when they sighted the police guys. Had to slam hard on my brake to let him go. Crazy stunt. I guess am lost in some part of this world, and I call myself OG. The girls I carried last week spend almost an hour talking about shine, the shine! Shine!! Just kept coming out like it's air to them. I will hear "I need get shine like 40k" "I no like to the shine alone." I was just lost in tot, what's this shine these girls keep calling, I could only narrow it down to drugs. My generation! My generation!! |

Then is time to wave good bye... truth is they will keep shuffling BTW drivers and rider, more drivers r entring, aftermath of Covid. So need to generate riders. |

peeps4u: Nigerians and protest are like parallel lines that can never meet. Most protests we do are polictally sponsored ones. We are taking shit from govt/politicians, also from uber/bolt. BRT, Nig Railway, DSTV, Sometimes have all increased their charges, there is stamp duty on house rent, things are getting more expensive but bolt/uber aren't only keeping the fares constant but planning to slash it again. They will bring in economy class and nothing will happen, there wont be protest, we move on.............. There's sometin called elestic limit, if they ask u to do a trip from mainland to island for 500, will u? |
