InfinityEstates: My brother, like they always say, no matter how careful you drive in Lagos, if you don't hit someone, someone would definitely hit you.
So on Tuesday evening I just drove out to get some few items at the mall. One AC repair guy was given a Highlander to fix. There was traffic and on the process of trying to negotiate to the express, he hit the vehicle in front of him. The owner of the vehicle came down and accessed the damage and it was not bad and so he drove off. Meanwhile the guy had already loaded the gear in reverse instead of drive and I was behind. The next thing I heard was "gba"!!!. Bumper, fender, headlamp (passenger side), radiator casing gone.
Oga ok o, as e don happen, how we wan take settle this matter now, the guy was saying BROS ABEG NO VEX.
In my mind, e be like say you dey mad.
Last last sha, made some calls, military guys came around, drove the two cars to the police station, owner had to come, he said he didn't have money and that the guy who drove the car should be made to pay and all.
Finally, he pleaded and settled, police collect their own and I'm left to fix my car.
Bottom line, no matter how careful you are, it could still happen, but still be careful.
P.S: When coming back home that same night, we saw a smashed corpse on the road. Head gone, intestines littered on the road. I nearly vomitted. Later saw the driver who hit the guy. Apparently, he ran away immediately the accident happened and later went to report himself that same night. Family of the victim said they didn't want a case so they settled. Less than 24hrs after the incident, the guy was released and he went home, but who don die don die.
Everyday you go out and come back, don't take it for granted. Just be grateful and be careful. Hmmm! Life have a way of humbling one. |

deedee44: I wldn't call it jazz, I wld call it greed and senselessness. Somebody planned to make huge purchases and told me he's not with his atm card, how much wld it cost to drive to his house first and let him take his card or are they catching late comers at the store where he wanted to make the purchases? He must have used a mouth-watering fare to lure the driver into this mess. If it appears too good to be true, it most certainly is Some tinz r just practically not possible for me, 1.5 million like that? When I know I stand the chance of losing money I've saved for months/yr, it makes no sense at all. |

Felicity0001: Cutting of edges is part of life and progress. It may look wrong but it's what it is.
People loby to get a contract. Why do companies pay royalties to traditional rulers, community boys, settle cult boys and even arm rubbers just to have a smooth operation? Even after paying task and awarding scholarship.
While in school there is a term called "softening the ground" isn't that corruption? Yet the white man made it legal and even included it into our syllabus.
So brother man, do what ever you can to survive especially in this country so long your conscience doesn't condemn it.
As for me I'm very much ok with Uber apart from this present time which is very challenging due to the absence of promotion. One thing I like about uber is if you work 10k with uber you go c ur money but with taxify a go be like say your money is been siphoned and repatriated to an Indian goddess.
The 2 reasons I would want my bolt account back is because of their accurate set destination feature and to fill the viod of uber's driving hours. I'm just use to both, uber is not that bad tho |

Felicity0001: That what happens when a man refuses to think outside the box or dance to the tones of change.
Same thing northbird is doing, sorry to say but its the truth.
Moove has come up with a good deal trust me, but the only thing is it was activated in a time when the world is dealing with a global pandemic.
Tell me Pope191, would you not accept a car with moove before the lockdown?
Remember, they came onboard b4 the pandemic popped up so what ever thee case they still went ahead.
So that driver should look for other means to strike a balance with his partner else no court of law will rule to his favor if his partner decides to pull the trigger.
I would advice he sign up with bigleaf(he just posted that he needs cars for interstate project) tho I feel his offer is very very low, like too low. Or better still let him go to begger b/s or mile 2 park and hustle for offline passengers. My guy doing it is cashing out big time.
If not for married status... There's lot of advantages a single guy has over a married man. Hmmm, it is well this thing you r talking is relative, days ahead are interesting and for family, if they are still young, it doesn't stops you from joggling things, if I tell you wetin I know on family matter, you go see things in different view, birth cert isn't display here, having a child does not make one a father either, in fact everybody is just trying to get by, no b really get life manual. I have someone with 3 kids, that is willing to settle his wife with some cash to get sometin doing, while he use that flight to a land of uncertainty. |

Felicity0001: Bolt and uber will have a taste of their medicine years to come if they keep blocking drivers that have partnered with them for more than a year.
Because those drivers will have better alternatives. I've a friend on hp he has not turned on his app for the past 6months and he's doing great.
Soon a lot of drivers will wake up to their senses to see that these foreigners are only enslaving them in their houses. I learnt someone on HP is having issue with d car owner cos he haven't been able to meet up for the best one month due to blockage, its not easy. |

davit: I dont do this. But for someone like you, I will. YOU ARE AN IDIOT saying someone yarns dust.
You definitely lack home training or you refused to be taught. Never come out to a public forum and abuse people.
FYI, I have been on ehailing biz for a while but never used Uber. I have always been on Bolt and indriver until Bolt yanked me off after the lockdown. Here is for us all to share experience and help others. And thats exactly what im interested in.
I registered with Uber this month. Check the attached screenshot.
Once again, never come to an open forum like this to abuse others. It is wrong. Easy Boss I know we can get on each other nerves, but let love always lead. This Bolt thing which way forward? I wrote them this morning and one oyinbo reply me wit 2030, ha! This joke is becoming expensive, I honestly don't like uber, my spirit just don't flow with them. Tho, my licence will expire in 3 months and I've been giving some things I won't have done on a normal day tots, like starting afresh again. |

izzou: But do you guys really think Moove didn't do a proper research before they rolled out this plan?
I think they have something under their sleeves. While some are thinking they'll be out of business, I'm thinking they may be staying.
Time will reveal everything sha. 2016 car with same price? It will boost riders, cos most ppl will prefer to drop dia cars. Now, check out the cos of maintenance and availability of parts. Let's focus on security, how comfortable do you think drivers can move in such car once its 8pm to 5am? They have security? Are the ignorant butcher going to think thro that? We just have to b careful, before these people KOK someone. Note: if the car is worth 6 million, it will take 5 yrs and probably 6 months to reap capital, that's if all factors are equal, imagine car use for uber in 5 yrs and 6 months plus the political instability in land like ours. Well let's be looking, nobody really knows. |

No be lie o. Sometimes I go a whole day without eating. It would be in the evening I remember I've not eaten especially when there are back-to-back trips.
Sometimes I just wonder, "what if this rider knows I'm very hungry and might switch off anytime, would you be so comfy?"
In all, we thank God... Boss try and eat ooo, I was once like you, I won't eat till 10pm, most time its carry over... That thing is not good for the body atall, I still got caught once in awhile, but I try as much as I can to eat including fruits cos blood don't circulate when one sit for long. It is not a hustle u intend doing for 2/3 months, this is life for now and till when? only heaven knows, so take care of yourself along, if possible create break for exercise. Health is wealth During the lock down, I can see how I added and fresh, can't fold my sleeves as usual, but now I'm back to normal and getting dark again suffer no good atall |
