Some other time leave "gross" alone. Talk about your Net. No one is interested in your gross. Gross makes you think you have made enough. But by the time you deduct all the deductibles what remains is the reality.
So keep your dashboard bro.

I hope you will show us the dash again tomoro? grin
Boss grossing 14k is still a win win, I swear down, if I can do 30k weekly in dis dry season I'll b so happy. Oh! My bolt *smh* what did I do thou to forsake me like dis cheesy

If he gross 14k with most 3k5 pending on car, Bolt remove 2k8, maybe toll 500, if he remove 6800 from 14k, then his take home will be 7200... What r we not saying, his children self we greet him, daddy welcome!

Been there several times, you hardly get request to come back to proper Lagos. Instead you will get request to inner part of Ikorodu. Owutu isawo, igbogbo, ijede, imota, Agbede, Agbede meeting, odogunyan etc. The road to these places are damaging to cars.
I don't think they have any better road in ikorodu

Thing is most corporations set unrealistic gross margins.

WC has been inflated wt managerial perks n bonuses. @ d expense of d biz itself.
So losses r quite inevitable.

I tell you d story of how d app deceive me grin go festac around 8pm when I set destination for Ikeja.

I got to festac around 10pm, mehn see traffic n na card trip. Trip end I see #2,000.
From V.I. Over 2hrs, I just weak. embarassed Meanwhile tank don show red.

I had to use 2k again to buy fuel n blow to Ikeja from festac when no trip gree show.

Washed my hands off them o.
Lol, I just wish Bolt will free me and crazy enough they are sending reminder for me to pay up the 1800 I'm owing them after paying 4k from 5k, I'll open the gate of hell on Bolt soon.

Uber is pure slavery. Somtyms i just laff wen pple think dey make money on uber.

I mean a whole 25% grin.

In Abuja, guys dt use corrolla to hustle still make more on the street than on uber.

Las las you cut ticket union: #100, Amac: #200 ( and that one sef, u can still dodge it, if you hv street orientation by avoiding some places.)

You net 8 or 9k. #300 on 9k. That's lyk 3-4% commission.

Note. This is wtout one yeye "oga increase your ac, its hot "

Its glaring wtout surge or 3%. Uber has no bite.
But uber is complaining about not making profit here, what do we believe now? Last week I took a rider to ikorodu from omole on a trip of 2500, rider gift me 500... After waiting for 3hrs, no trip and it's almost 6:30pm, I had to blow home empty, I was just frowning insider the car.

grin. Wuber sef no deserve 1.8 milla car with their 25% and cheap fares
What can we do? If u talk, they will say u r rude, go to bolt twitter page and see the tug war b/w riders and drivers, that's where I ease stress lately, won't tell no lie boss, its not easy anywhere, we all just have to take it easy and b very prudent in spending now.

Sometin happened to me on saturday, a day that started off good, I've netted 2k on uber and my intention was to net b/w 6/7k... But I find myself changing position from ojota to Ikeja ard 12 to 5pm without any trip, suddenly this long distance trip came in going to badore, happy me, rush down to pick up point, I don't know what came over me as I find out its a card trip, owing uber 1200... That rush just came over my head like grin trip 4000, uber remove 1200 plus dia 25%, toll gate 200 and u may not even get a trip back to mainland, you may end up blowing empty back home from all these frustrations. I had to to call d rider and pled with him that I can't go on the trip, drove down home, up till this moment, I'm yet to go online, uber is not encouraging atall.

Still no promotions on uber as well as no surge. Corona has really dealt with every single human being on planet earth.

Slavery work at its peak, but man must survive
Uber is real slavery, I take time to find reasons before judging, but it is what it is, one just have to use his head. The 25% is not worth it, the low fare is another thing and their app consume data. The good tin about Uber is the peace of mind using d app and 300 cancellation fee, at least twice a day make up for sometin.

Inbtw: My Oga's saying 1.8 millionaire is too much for Uber/Bolt business, but you will still b the once advocating for toks corolla, I am not understanding, is toks corrolla now spelling for 1.5?

Babadee1900:
My stubborn rider experience this morning.

I picked this girl from Fola Osibo, destination somewhere in Apongbon. She entered the car and wasn’t putting on her nose mask, so I requested that she puts it on.

The following conversations ensued:

Me: Pls use your nose mask

Rider: Don’t worry Oga, I don’t have corona

Me: You don’t have to wait until you contract the virus before you use your nose mask moreover we can be arrested on the road, so pls put it on.

Rider: Yesterday I didn’t use it on my way here and they didn’t arrest us.

Me: That’s the drivers lucky day.

Rider: today can be your own lucky day too.

Me: leave luck aside, I don’t take risk (at this point I was feeling really frustrated.)

Rider: Ok o

She reluctantly put it on and we continued on the trip. She sat directly behind me so I wasn’t really paying attention to her.

We got to Apongbon bridge decent and I was stopped by the police.
The officer requested for my DL, I gave him. Next I heard was why is your passenger not wearing nose mask

shocked shocked shocked
I looked back and this mumu girls mask was resting on her laps! The only thing I could manage to say is ‘But why?’ huh

Officer said park well, give me your car papers, we are going to the office. You can see that even me that’s on the road I have my masks on, why is she not wearing hers?.

I started begging, the man said it’s a presidential order bla bla bla, we must go to the office, it’s beyond his power.

In my mind I knew everything he’s saying is just to put fear in me but this is Lagos. Something must drop here before this man give me back my DL and car papers.

After few minutes of begging, he said okay what do you want me to do for you, your offense is 10k fine but tell me what you have.

Laslas 1500 settle the matter.

Well the girl refunded my money. Her trip ended at 1700, she sent 3200.
I don't even know what to make out of this, our law's are full and empty at the same time, we never have a standard and that's how things will continue to b. Sometimes I regret having faith in this country, I won't stop asking what's actually the difference between motorist and ordinary man walking along the road? The better percent of people are not using face mask again here in Nigeria, even in USA I flow with folks while they drive and they pass the po-po always, they have never for once have the fear of being stop by d police over face mask. I feel like this is the new way for authorities/task force to rob people of dia money, we really need to man these people in a war of face to face, we as a citizen should stand our ground. It sad to say same police men r seen without face mask, but when it time to do their evil work they use the mask. I honestly don't know how long Lagosian will survive running from Police, V.I.O, Lastma, CBD, FRSC, LG Boiz, etc. I can't Breathe

Initially...I was shocked myself.

I brought a rider from olowora to university road. I got another request, on my way to rider's PU, I was blocked by the LGA touts bus on the road leading to onike(I was even thinking they were using my car to block someone else). They asking me to wind down I refused, they clamped my tyre, later I let him into the car.

I asked what was my offence he said, he said I had two, using my phone while driving (which was not true, he let dropped that one), second offence, I'm not wearing nose mask(I was shocked, because I was alone in the car, and the AC was on). We drove to their office opposite panti police station, that was how they gave me ticket of 25k(ontop wetin). I told them straight up, I don't have money and I'm not paying.

They were threatening that they will deflate my tyres and that the car will sleep if I don't pay up(I was just calm, I was ready to spend my day with them).

After sometime he came back, said he wants to help me, that I should bring 15k, I told him I don't have, he said call your people nah, I said them too don't have.(he just kept on coming back to ask me "how much I get" because I wasn't begging them and all that).

After like 3hrs(I wasn't really in a haste to go anywhere), they said I should pay 4k, I said I don't have( why will I pay when I didn't break any law). One of them went and I deflated one of tyre, naso I vex, call my uncle wey be DSP(didnt want to involve him initially) gave the guy the phone, my uncle told him he if does not let me go and he gets there, that he will deal with him, naso the man talk say make I just gate money dey go. Naso I take pay gate money (N500) and pump tyre(N500).

Those guys are thieves, ripping people off their money, something needs to be done about those guys. If I get time I go share the stories wey I hear there
3hrs! Boss u toomush, honestly you get patience, I can only wish you goodluck. The manner in which all these ppl try to hustle someone, only God can help motorist, cos lately its hard to tell when you've done wrong or not.

One love bro!
Ba wahala, that won is in d past, I only say so cos no one is above being blocked... Bolt head is doing over heating right now, if they block someone for this reason, how long will it take before everyone get dia fair share?

And for the issue you have today, I don't have d right to tell u what to do or not, but let's say in the spirit of one love. We need to b careful, Nigerians are emotional and aggressive folks, common false alarm of thief! Next u see people don bring tire and start to beat the person, sometimes we underestimate the power of peace. No one is perfect not even me, but when God give me grace to think twice, I ask myself if I'm normal... I once gave a car hot chase from ogudu to motor-way, until sometin rang in my head like, what if u let dis b? Another experience that crack me up was one happy day, as I try to avoid pothole, dis okoda came from no where, that kind of hit the rider on the okada with his wife blast on d car provoked me, I gave them a hot chase like I was about to knock them down... As we both pull over, I step out and go straight for the guy, damn! His wife was beating the car, no one borrow me sense, before I rush into d car and scared her away with the car, the devil in me still want to find a safe place, so I can come back for return leg, until I saw someone with big stone heading towards me grin they no they tell person, the highest I can get when we get to police station, is dragging agreement on how long it will take for them to pay for damage.

Note: As we keep saying riders r acting up, is same way riders r saying the same about drivers.

We can sell rap actually to Americans via great collaborations. The truth is if you're that good you'll be accepted though it may take some time but it's not impossible. My opinion sha

And you're right about the influence of Afro beats getting us recognition as at today, I totally agree.
I somewhat want to agree with you, but let's make do of what we've witnessed... When you say great collaborations, then we have to talk about our finest, it will b difficult to mix local dialect with hardcore rap, so when we talk about our finest, I'll say mode, freestyle, M.I, Overdose and Jessy Jagz.... Do u really think Nas, Jay, K west, immortal Techniques, Eminem, J cole, Kendrick or Lupe will really want to dedicate their time for these peeps? Remember M.I once accused Nas of taking money from him and fail on his part to honour agreement. This same tin is what Ruggedman fought for, we should do music in our mother tongue and stop trying to b original version of other people. Outside rap, almost all the international collabo is rubbish, let's just call it exposure, from beautiful onyinye fans mi

lipsrsealed That we couldn't follow up on these great and talented acts that SA rappers now be outshining us..

We could easily be second to on the US in the world in Hip Hop with the array of talented rappers we had then..

P.S We still have many talented underground rap artist, but the moment the spotlight beams they wanna go commercial coz there's really no market for Hip Hop here in Naija and that's why the rappers down south of the continent be excelling.
I don't believe we can sell rap to Americans, they won't accept that from us, the main reason our music is getting recognition today is d influence of afrobeat in it, I just crack a smile reading a post here yesterday about Patoranking not being able to do reggae perfectly... Chorus...omo wa sheri shey sheri ko leshe.
