Someone complained of getting trips back to back and declining some. Car owners (investors) have really tried bro, hardly any return on their investments for the past 3 months now. Haba! Na paper them take buy the car ni.
Any driver that can’t deliver 20-25k now is not a serious person and does not deserve to be in possession of that car. How long do drivers want to keep short changing car owners eh?

Ghost1994: One of our driver share this on whatsapp group...
Hello great pilots in the house.
I want make una hear this one ooo.
I pick a rider from Vono Street, Ilupeju to Agbado Crossing. On my way coming back I was arrested by the police at Agbado Crossing Junction. They told me this is Ogun State and there is lockdown. I picked my phone and called the rider and she came to meet me. She begged the police but they refused to let me go.
While she was crying, the Chairman of the NURTW of the whole of Agbado/Alakuko saw her and asked what the problem is, she told him everything. The chairman asked me to come. He asked me how much was my total money for the trip and I said #2,200.
He was surprised and he said, "YOU CAME FROM ILUPEJU TO AGBADO CROSSING FOR #2,200.
He asked me if I'm married and I said yes. He now said, "how do you feed your wife and kIds?"
Shame catch me because I know where the man was going.
He further said that we Uber drivers are under taskmasters. That how can you carry #2,200 from Lagos to Ogun State.
The rider was silent, she couldn't say a word.
The chairman later called one.of his boys and asked him to give me #2k. He called the police by himself and asked him to collect the #2k from me. He said the trip i brought here was a card trip and it was my first trip and the #2k was given to me by him.
That was how I was released.
The chairman told me finally as I start my car to go. He said, "o je lo wase mi se.".... "meaning, go and look for another work and be doing."
My people this was my experience today Saturday, June 27th, 2020. Hmmm! What can I say? Siddon look |

Mjosh1000: Thanks to everyone that showed concern on my case since Wednesday (Gentlelife vision2045 and to all that prayed) God will bless us all.
The car is out through a highly respected lagos chief I was connected to by someone, the initial fee was 100k he called the director and talked to him to slash the fee down to 30k. I drove straight to his place at ebutemeta to thank him. He warned me never to drive against traffic again and prayed for me. I just left there now and on my way home, local man is tired and need rest.
Once again thank you all for your support.
Meanwhile I got a connect of a lastma officer at oshodi just incase anyone need assistance. His area covers Anthony, oshodi and gbagada. Local man will hit the road back on Monday thanks and one love Thank God for u, I can imagine d strain. |

I want to thank everyone that has reached out to me since yesterday. Its gladden my heart that there is an online family that's always there when needed.
Back to my lastma problem
As I said before one of the cars that was caught alongside with me called someone close to sanwolu yesterday which made the matter worst, The "oga commander"at pencinema said the matter is on the table of lastma director of operations at oshodi, that there is nothing he can do. I should have been excluded from that list but I was unfortunate to be there at that time. The man use em power for me which I no vex I have accepted my faith.
Went to oshodi today, was told that the director is not around that I should come back on Saturday.
My prayer now is to get a lighter sentence since matter don reach high table.
Me when I no know anybody God is my only hope now.
The rider that i was with yesterday called and asked if I have resolved the issue I told him no that they refer me to oshodi, he sent me 20k, and said if I get the car out I should tell him.
I am praying to God to help me on Saturday make dem no use me do scape goat.
That's the update for now by Saturday I will come back and update with the latest information.
Meanwhile make una dey pray before leaving the house everyday cos my case was akoba adaba One way first time offender is just 20k fine but I don't even know my faith of what's gonna come next. Boss ur tots... Any update? |

It's just unfortunate that we have a police system that is non-functional. They are all out to make money for themselves and not for justice.

Been driving one day on one day off.. even though this work is suitable on the island (vi,ikoyi, lekki, ajah) based on less troubles with council touts, FRSC, VIO etc. The raining season is upon us. Please avoid this roads on the island for now.
Emma abimbola cole street/Hakeem Dickson link road. Avoid this areas totally whenever it rains. Admiralty road. (Christ Avenue, Africa lane, etc)
Esther Adeleke street. In fact the whole Lekki Phase1.
Osapa London, Agungi, Illasan new road, Chevywiew estate, etc.
Badore/Langbasa entirely. Abraham Adesanya/Sangotedo.
If you catch my drift, what I'm trying to say is when it rains it pours on the island! Just off the Apps and sleep jeje, or go back home...those (rain) trips are not worth it.

The only management you need is your ego, take my advices from my previous post, or better still resort to previous means/ways since you've been having same or similar encounters in the past 3yrs. One thing is certain money must drop even if the state IG is your dad.
Do it timely and go back to work and if you still like don't take my friendly advice, you'll keep having yourself in same issue but until you do the right thing.
I understand how hard it is to swallow a bitter pile of truth.
In any case, good luck once more my good friend. Do I sound to u like I have an ego problem? I won't stoop low to join issues with u, but I'll correct u when u r wrong. I have no case at the station, simply means I have no case, but we r who we r, every dog has its day, today happened to b mine and here I am unshaken. Most drivers do drive with expired tyre, road safety can choose to pin anyone with dat on d day such bell rings in their head. If u r still bitter abt the 10 years I told u and choose to see me as enemy, its simply because u get high on having ur account unblock and dragging matter with bolt staff I don't think u can identify in person is like fighting a ghost, it makes no sense to me... Every one from @Davit to NYC have tried to get their account unblock, but got d 10 years mail, so I only help u with the options u may likely meet, unless Uche is ur in-law, then u can go take his office key at home and go unblock yourself. northbird: Guys, something happened this morning.
A shocking experience.
I got a trip from my end going to Itire surulere.
Using Google map, it told us to avoid Fagba traffic n follow old Abeokuta road.
Some few metres to the railway crossing at Odejobi.
A guy walked up to me , told showed me his police id card n told me to park.
At first, I thought maybe cos the rider didn't put on facemask,
I cleared off the road, the next thing go and open your boot. I opened my boot, one of the policemen followed me n started checking the boot.
Then it dawned on me, dis was not facemask stuff, they were looking for drugs. The policeman asked ." are you uber? I said yes. By the time we got back to the front ,the other policeman was already in strong contention wt d lady rider. They found some SK or marijuana on her.
I was shocked myself, though she looked the part from her dressing wen i first picked her up. I just thought maybe its one of those girls coming back from last night hustle.. So no issues.
Long story short, we ended up at the police station. I just left now. She is still there...
Say a word of prayer before stepping out . N consider well before you do offline for total strangers. It is well boss, we r soldiers on d road and we have to b careful always with prayers. I had a premonition last night over what happened today or it was just a guilty trip, my first trip with this same person going to same location wasn't a smooth one. |

OnyeObodo: Pope191,
Once you did change of ownership and have a police report to the sales, no police man on Gods green earth have the right to arrest you.
People sell their cars with plate numbers everywhere in the world. The only thing the police has to do is to call the registered number on the papers and he clarifies that the numbers are his.
The only other thing you need to be worried about is if the papers have expired. If not, look the police in the eye and say... Oga ffuck you! Yep! I agree wit u, but wot they mostly hold on to is 6 months and I laff it off like Oga I won sell the car if u won buy. But the guy I carried today, I've known him for a year, he went of line and was really dragging it to the point of them going physical on each other. That I don't want so I opt for the station instead of us exchanging punch by the road side. He got to station and calm down and start telling me to beg them with 5k, they said nothing less but 50k. I have to call my military brother, who call d 2nd in command, she called all of us into her office and ask us to go settle. las las deh change the issue to I have been begging them with 5k, I should just bring the 5k. The guy I carried was ready to part with the money, but I'm not happy with the way he dragged me and leave me to my fate, he has been calling endlessly, I just have to find a way to make peace with him in my mind. |

northbird: Sorry about that pope.
But I thought if there is a legal document as per change of ownership, it means the vehicle belongs to you now, number plate or not? Isn't that the right thing? There is a legal document backing that you own d car n d number plate. It is expected to change a plate number after buying for a year, but dia is no law backing that up... In a land of no law, I guess u should know d rest. Still on the matter |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by pope191: 11:37am On Jun 23, 2020*. Modified: 7:49pm On Jun 23, 2020 |
Felicity0001: No legal backing for plate number oh my guy, plate number is a permanent property to the individual which the plate number is registered in his or her name. Change of ownership does not curtains number plate but the car alone so a new owner will have to get his or her own number plate registered in their names to suit the change of ownership and this process is always accompanied with a court affidavit and a police extract.
Pope191, what more can i say to you now? This problem would have been avoided had you done the right thing from the onset and all those while I was seeking advice from this same thread of "the dealer and new owner of my previous car" you know you'd similar problem you didn't borther to mention it now look at what this has resulted into. Even if the trip was online a smart and intelligent police would have still spot it in your papers.
Anyways, police is our friend just bargain with them starting from 5k but I'm very sure nothing short of 10k will come out of your pocket and bybthe time you come out of this make sure you go back and do tje right thing else you would have spend money meant for a plate number settling police on a daily or weekly basis.
Good luck I would have go berserk on u wit d frame of mind I have right now, but I won't do that, this is not the first time I am having such issue and I have been driving for 3 years at every check point, its a matter of communication. The only thing that blow this morning up is the person beside me fighting them and out of the respect I have for him as customer, I choose not to bruise his ego. I don't sit all day following your post, so how do u expect me to know what U've said or not? and I won't dignify the right thing up with a response, its a set back, but the movement is even certain... Need u know I have some cars in my possession and at some point their is no plate number. I would have told u to get off ur pettiness, but i can't change who u are, I just have to manage u. Bless up |
