While i agree that the bank is not liable especially considering the woman gave out personal details, banks in general can do more to help customers. What is the point of the KYC noise that all make if they cannot help her track down the owner of the bank account the funds went into. All these useless banks know how to do is make you fill rubbish forms, then they go through the motion of nonsense verifications of home address before opening the account. If they follow the money and as long as they have one account the money went into, the culprits can be found!

Most of the banks don't even verify home address. That is one of the reasons I like StanbicIbtc. They would visit your address to verify before they open an account.

While I do not think the system as presently constituted is sustainable, we must be careful not to assume total disintegration will automatically mean progress, the same crop of leaders and some of the corrupt youths will still have the opportunity to lead the different nations formed,hence a change in the status quo must me accompanied by a change in consciousness, in our attitude towards our fellow man, towards work,humanity and life in general. If there was one sure way South Sudan and Libya would not be where they are today, we must do what needs to be done the ways it's supposed to be done with the interest of all in mind and not allow ourselves to be driven by emotions, parochial sentiments and hate. It is very naive to think once the country disintegrates we will all live happily ever after.

I believe that majority of Nigerians want restructuring, not disintegration. But if a minority (Northern elites) make restructuring impossible (using their control of the Army and other security agencies to intimidate everyone into silence), then those of us that value our freedom would opt for disintegration or secession. In order to bring the North to accept restructuring, you must leave the option of disintegration or secession on the table.
Of course separation would not automatically lead to progress. But at least it would provide you the platform(which is nonexistent under this lopsided unitary arrangement) to work on making progress.

Good observation. The Northerners(especially Fulani elite) may not be parading much in terms of Western education, but they are way more intelligent than the South generally. With all the Western education, the Southerners still act like fools.

Well said. If the SS, SE, SW and Middlebelt cooperate, they will form the majority in the Senate and House of Representatives and they can push through the necessary Bills to restructure the country.
The Northern elites know that and will do whatever they can to prevent such from happening.
From the Ibadan summit, it is good to see that the SE, SW and SS are beginning to work together. We need the Middlebelt to join the freedom train. With the level of education we have attained in the South/Middlebelt, we need to stop acting like fools.

I believe she is saying the truth, from what the Speaker of Parliament said.

It is obvious that the Director of Socials, Lamda is telling lies. I can detect his lies even from his testimony. He said the VP wanted to leave the meeting room but he blocked her. The VP then slapped him and kept following him. Why would she be following him around when she is trying to leave.
And the Speaker of Parliament also confirmed the lies.
The President and the Secretary and the Director of Socials should be expelled and prosecuted. The President is not fit for that position. The VP should also sue them in the civil court.
Kudos to the Speaker of Parliament for taking charge and saving the lady from the touts.
