Gajagojo: I will not defend Edu on this On the surface it looks dodgy and the public need an explanation
I just want to talk about the wording of the law and some of the discussion in abstract terms 1 What is a PRIVATE ACCOUNT. Is this PERSONAL account only or can it include companies, clubs, churches,NGOs etc? 2. What is public money? E.g if the government is owing a community money and pays the money to a traditional ruler, legislator etc is that money government money or the money of the creditors. Let us not forget that salaries are paid into personal accounts. So arguably salaries are not public money but belong to the PAYEE S These and many other potential legal loopholes are what we need to identify and block in future You are asking needless questions. There is no confusion about what is public or private account and I am sure you know that. The law is also not ambiguous. What just happened is barefaced fraud. Don't try to get clever with us. |

PressMyButton: Wike, Umahi, Tunji-ojo, you've got to watch your back. Opposition is never happy seeing you deliver creditably, they try every ways possible to throw the spanner in the wheels. Since Betta took over, she has opened up various programmes, added more beneficiaries into the welfare packages, more impressively is the introduction of retired security personnels, widows of gallant soldiers who died on the field, including previously neglected soldiers whose limps were lost in battle, giving them a new lease of life. My advice to the opposition is, let people work and stop the distractions. Sponsoring media propaganda against top notch performers is a poor tactics and a wrong use of money. Betta is a moving train. A thief supporting a thief. No surprise there. |

adamusuleiman2: It brought reprieve. The president is also not the cause of insecurity, but the president can obtain sweeping powers via the Senate and HOR.
As per the governor, then he needs to work with his legislature and copy the template of something like amotekun instead of crying like a bitch. The President is not the cause but unfortunately, he controls the security apparatus of the country. He is not doing enough with the Army and Police which he controls. State and Local Government Police are needed urgently. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria May Soon Become Another Somalia – Plateau State Governor Caleb Cries Out by poseidon12: 7:59am On Jan 07, 2024 |
adamusuleiman2: He is right about the state of emergency. If a governor is crying for help what do you expect the presidency to do, clap for him?
The governor is basically saying that he is no longer capable of handling the stage. Stop exposing your ignorance. Your useless constitution puts the control of law enforcement completely in the hands of the President. We need to amend the useless constitution to allow for creation of State and Local Government Police. |

Ironbull: I think it's time for a state of emergency to be declare we can't continue this way. I strongly belief these evil killers are getting financial help from somewhere or from someone or from a group of people definitely.
Action is all needed now we can't carry on like this pls this is not about saying oh if it was one person who have won 2023 the person would have done this and that all those talks are cheap talks and lies the evil hands against Nigeria peaceful existence are from the four corner wind kingdom.
Action is needed not politics or unecessary emotion at the moment because if the situation explod they will all escape to Londo, US, Panama, Dubai and Saudi. What is needed is State and Local Government Police, not state of emergency. |

Politics › Re: Nigeria May Soon Become Another Somalia – Plateau State Governor Caleb Cries Out by poseidon12: 7:42am On Jan 07, 2024 |
Raskimonojendor: Tinubu should declare a state of emergency on the state just like Obj did in 2004. That means setting the governor aside and suspending the state legislature. Time for an administrator to step in, preferably a retired army general. Did the declaration bring peace to Plateau State then? I don't think so. The Governor is not the cause of the insecurity. We urgently need State and Local Government Police. The useless constitution needs to be amended to allow that. |

Politics › Re: Transfer Of Money Into Private Account Is Legal – Betta Edu’s Aide, Zubair by poseidon12: 7:29am On Jan 07, 2024 |
zed7: Common sense says it isn't legal. Apart from the civil service regulations, rational thinking dictates that such amount of money should be dispensed from a government account for transparency and accountability.
We are not surprised by the kind of people appointed as Ministers, most of whom are mistresses, party hangers on and miscreants.
I still respect Obj till tomorrow. Dude was not sentimental, went for only the best of the best, unfortunately we took that Obj regime for granted. Every other president has been worse off than his predecessor. Exactly. |

She is probably a pretty a lady, therefore there is every tendency she would receive constant wooing from the male folks.
Chats, screenshots, etc. are not a proof of her infidelity. The only proof of infidelity in a relationship is if you catch her "red-handed" in the act. And how can you catch her if you don't track her? |
Politics › Re: Terrorists Deposited Arms Ahead Of Attacks On Plateau Communities, Says Senator by poseidon12: 11:58pm On Jan 01, 2024 |
sslcrypt: Majority of the herdsmen are from the displaced areas of Mali. Technically they are military grade militia, so their tactics and ability to strike is Swift anf efficient. Now the question how will the military with individuals of the same extraction handle such militias. Yes there's what we call the cause and effect, and cost of engaging these militias. Majority of concerns from the military high echelon is opening up another front that can be tagged as minor front. Also what's not helping is that the settled Fulani tribe in the state are working hand in hand via sympathy.
The evolution of this crisis is pointing to pockets of militias that will come up as a result of unchecked killings. Within certain agencies personnel's of certain tribal extraction are shuffled to prevent any form of unsanctioned shadow or covert operations. Such covert operations will involved channeling of weapons to affected communities.
Now the thing is once this pandora box is opened it will be hard to close since whispers will echo across the land to groups that have been bidding their time. Once weapons starts flowing it now puts the entire nation in a volatile state. Your analysis is right on point. |

9jvirgin: Why can't Nigerians demand resignation of Tinubu? What is happening in Israel that worse hasn't happened in Nigeria? Why are the Nigerian people docile in the face of evil and pain?
Without religious and ethnic bigotry, Tinubu will have no business in Aso rock. A sick man, ruling over sick people. Sad. Tribalism will not allow Nigerians to remove incompetent leaders. Without tribalism, an incompetent leader like Buhari could not have become President and someone with a serious criminal record like Tinubu could not have become President neither. |

The competition and show-offs too much. I pity those struggling in the midst of their wealthy siblings and cousins. To talk or contribute in family gatherings is always difficult. For the married ones, the pressure from their wives increases when the wife sees what Oga's siblings and cousins are doing for their wives and children.
