He didn't say it is USA. It could be Europe.

Don’t envy them. Nigeria will be better soon.

We can take advantage of weak naira by starting to export Nigerian products. Government should make airports and seaport export ready!!!

The jobs abroad aren’t as many and even if you get the jobs, there are many deductibles before you enjoy your take home pay.

Also, if you want to Japa and take full benefits of abroad, learn technical skills like welding, plumbing, electrician, nursing, coding, mechanics, machinists, etc.
We look down upon these jobs in Nigeria but they are money making crafts abroad.

If you Japa with just a degree in business admin or any foolish course, you will either wash toilet or look after old people abroad.
Very good advice.

PoliticsRe: Corrupt Governance Responsible For Insecurity, Banditry In North - Shettima by poseidon12: 1:19pm On Jan 28, 2024
Nonsense. The dysfunctional Nigerian structure is the reason for the failure of Nigeria as a country. It is the dysfunctional system that has given rise to rampant corruption and bad governance.
Nigeria should be restructured urgently.

Legalising of gun is good but not in a country like Nigeria where hardship, poverty and anger rate is very high.

And Nigerians are proud too. Dem never legalise gun and "do u know who I am" full everywhere. If them legalise gun for Nigeria, instead of "do you know who I am", na gun shot you go hear.
Not true. If guns are legalized, people will actually respect themselves because everybody knows that the other person is also armed. House to house armed robberies will be a thing of the past. Highway robberies will reduce. Banditry will reduce.

Well said. Nigerians should have the right to defend themselves against violence by any means necessary. Right now, it is only the Fulani herdsmen that have the right to bear arms and attack communities with impunity.

How is the Jagaban's administration supporting terrorists? I wanna know
We heard that the bandits that killed more than 160 numbered more than 100 and operated for more than 24 hours. A few days later, they came back to kill again, unchallenged. It's either the Federal government is working with the bandits or the government is incompetent.

The 50 arrested alive are supposed to lead the troops to communities they came from and make sure they arrest others that are involving in all these heinous acts, after that, the 50 together with others remaining should be executed without trial, . because, court will still release them, and if they dnt, their friends would still be mobiled and set them free in prison.
That is if the news is real.

They have no right to take him in. They should demonstrate that they are not aiding the terrorists. How can bandits numbering more than 100 operate for 24 hours unchallenged and no arrests made, if the security agencies are not working with them?

When you want to bring change and see it will affect someone very close, you change tactics

Exactly. The solution to Nigeria's fundamental problem lies in restructuring. That is decentralisation of governance.

Do we not also need funds to diversify the economy?

There is nothing wrong with having oil and mineral revenues. What we need is to utilize them efficiently.

We were all here when Donald Duke did Tinapa, Obudu Cattle Ranch and even brought Miss World hosting to Nigeria. But religious extremists made a mess of the hosting of Miss World. In addition, Duke's successors refused to build and consolidate on the foundation of Duke.

We see how Lagos earns revenue from service industry. What are the other state governments doing to earn revenue for their states?

Mostly nothing. Tinubu is expected to solve all the problems.
Some state governments destroy alcohol but still collect the money earned from VAT charged on alcohol sold in other states. Development is also elusive when you live with people who are retrogressive in their thinking. At this stage of our national life, Senator Ali Ndume and his co-travellers are insisting that some departments of CBN and the headquarters of FAAN must stay in Abuja without advancing sensible arguments to even show they are competent in thinking.

Instead of developing mining resources, state governments seemingly cooperate with illegal miners to steal from their own people, and even kill them.

Look at insecurity. Instead of setting up local vigilante to solve the problem, state governments want the President to come and solve their problems for them.

The problem of the naira is that state governments are mostly unproductive. Hold them to account.
How can you hold state governments to account when you are running a unitary system of government? To hold them to account, you have to first restructure the country.

Ajaokuta steel is lying there abandoned and not active, that alone can solve a whole lot of mess in Nigeria but it must be only oil.

Youth of the country are still sleeping, the few ones in position to make a solid statement are worse than the old corrupt leaders.

When we are all ready for revolution, you can call on me for support.

Meanwhile we should keep praying for asiwaju to succeed because he obviously has good intentions for Nigeria.
Nigeria's problems will not be solved by prayers. If Asiwaju wants to succeed, he must urgently restructure Nigeria. Otherwise he will just waste another 4 or 8 years, just like his useless predecessors Jonathan and Buhari.
