AVRecruit: house maids na dem dey hot pass :-)
Anyway, the later a woman marries the higer the probability a man will pursue young babes outside at least for a while to make up for the deficiency
The younger a woman marries, the more satisfied the husband will be with the carnal lusts of their youth and if a good man, wont look outside even when the babe gets older.
with feminism came boyfriends. boyfriends are not jn the best interest of women. all women should be encouraged to get married before going to university or shortly afterwards. just because its not happening today does not mean its not the right thing.
Why isnt feminism truly saying wat im saying? See it doesnt have womens best interests at heart. Another wisdom! |

itzhanie001: Being a stay home mom doesn't mean you will nurture your children well. I have an uncle who married a lazy woman, lazy being that she doesn't care for work at all. She can't even wash her own undies talk more take care of children well, a married woman with with female children will openly display pornographic videos. The highest no of teenage pregnancy cases I aee around me have housewives as the mothers. And we have lots of mothers at the apex of their careers nurturing and taking good care of their homes and children and equally producing brilliant children. My mum and grandma being great examples.
It's hypocrisy when we all know what you want is for a woman to be like a rag to a man, one he can decided to do whatever he wish to. Makes me remember a man that asked his wife (a principal in one of the federal Colleges in Nig) to quit her job unknown to her he was planning to marry another wife, thank God she saw pass his selfishness, he wld have rendered her dependent on him so he can toss her however he likes..Now she has her own school, big one and is doing well. I'av seen men who ask their wives not to work supposedly to take care of children make those wives suffer and even the children. They want her at their mercies of their selfish tendencies. Even if a woman sits home all day, a man with no self control will still cheat, they'll just bring pregnancy come meet her for house.
If you don't want career women, good. There.are lots of women out there.who don't mind being housewives. miss, your quote is laughable and full of hypocricy. the highest number of teenage pregnacy you ve seen has house wives as their mothers. you either live in mars or you cant define what is a housewife. look, you have been indoctrinated to be financially independent of your husband while being ambitious, and to see men as untrustworthy with sinister motive. the feminist egg has been deposited in you already. it is clear from your submission. just be truthful with your husband wen mariage comes and be straight with him. so he knows early what he's dealing with. |

AVRecruit: You forgot to mention: why work to pay for day care when you can give BETTER care yourself?
Feminism is already affecting women. In my workplace guys are afraid of talking to women for fear of harassment charges. Less office collaboration.
Women also pay for feminism through cheating. Your man is sleeping with a hot young girl with standing breasts as you no gree marry go dey do phd. Again women could do phds they should marry on time and have the support of their husbands for such courses.
Finally females pay through loneliness. Youre perfectly correct! so petty! so greedy! the wise and humble will be satisfied. but the restless she-devils, its a life of unfulfilment. go to europe and see women in their late 20s and and30s unmarried, looking for anythng with _dick for company. its a society wth its head upside down as as morality goes. |

daxlasaint: With or without feminism there would still be bad mothers out there.... i know hoisewives who children eat out all day and are ill cared for... i know career women who balance their homes beautifully.... am not advocating for men hating, competitive feminism... thats what most guys against this thread dont seem to get.... even the slave owners of infamous memory felt their slavery of the blavk man was divinely ordained and just.... that there are bad mothers out there doesnt mean women should be inductrinated to dump their infants some as young as a month to some nanny or daycare because she is career minded. career and child nurturing dont really mix. children aint dogs or some poultery animals that you can leave and come back to. they need attention. these children are exposed to a lot of indecencies during this period of neglect. and what about their husbands? thats a whole topic of its own. personally ive told some people who care to listen: i see very little difference between marring a career woman and marrying a woman who is still schooling. man that will cheat will cheat, so they say, but a career woman practically put her husband in the arms of a maid or some other woman. nothing goes for nothing. something has to give. feminism is the total break down of the family system. |

Why not give these women the same opportunities and preferences cos if they are bound to fail then they will and the matter will be settled once and for all... aparently pushing gender equality would be win win for men... so.... Look, if we all want to be godless, i dont really care about feminism. woman will lose. if men should treat women as equal in the society, women will die of agony. Children are already paying the price as a result of feminism. women are abandoning little children for career. and the society is bearing the brunt. |

Btw my parents are divorced and not for the reasons you are probably speculating in your head... could you pls do me a favour and leave my parents marriage or lack of it out of this discussion. You ve said what i needed to hear. i wont talk about your parents any further. but let me tell you this invention started thousands of years before formal education. and women were not bound then not to succeed. there is still a difference between education and invovation. you may bring all the excuses but women are not created to match their male counterpart in wisdom, knowledge and intelligence. And theyll never catch up. IT'S SPIRITUAL |

OneManLegion: I finally deem it fit to comment on this thread. In order to maintain a modicum of civility, I'll ensure I do not resort to vituperatives(hard as it is) and address the points you raised.
1. Before anything, I should tell you that you need to learn to make your points with maximum politeness and restraint. The unprovoked use of controversial words in a write-up makes the writer look incipient and insipient. By the way, Jesus, whom you seem to be a huge fan of, was almost as vocal against using insulting words on a person as he was against vendetta of any form(repaying evil with evil). What this means is that you're "sinning" in the process of speaking out against a "sin".
2. There's nothing wrong with women demanding equal pay at their workplace and there's everything wrong with a place of work where the salary and emoluments accruable to workers are subject to gender loculations. Your point that men do not on maternity leave is feeble. Maternity leave is necessary and just because it is only natural for a woman to get a couple of months off in order to recuperate from the rigours of childbirth as well as to bond with the new-born. Suggesting that in order for women to be placed on the same pedestal with men, salary-wise, they'd have to jettison maternity leave is callous and inequitable.
3. Your diatribe against Lesbian women was also very unnecessary and a deviation from the argument you were propounding. I don't see how homosexuality is concerned with or affected by a topic that centres on feminism; it seems you only wanted to remind us of your hatred for LGBTs; but you seem to forget that in order to sally forth credible arguments, one has to be as detached and objective - a trait, if your posts are anything to go by, you sorely lack.
4. Learn to differentiate Religion from an intellectual discourse. You're making contributions on contemporary issues and you're supporting your points with bible quotations? Are you aware that Nigeria is a secular state? Are you aware that morality and religion are not intertwined?
Women, as a matter of fact, have the right to earn as much as their male counterparts as long as their job descriptions entail the same thing or responsibilities.
Cc: Postmann Some of your points are valid. Esp on the character of J.E.SU.S. But sometimes you call a dog by its name. JE.S.U.S did that. Though It is strange your comment is only coming now after your being here plenty of times over many days. I reckon this handle is an alternate. I would like to know your major or original handle and why the veil with this one. I can't shake off the feeling that MOST alternates are creepy and phoney. A genuine alternate should freely and readily link his past moniker to the new one. While I wait for your real moniker, I'll like to tell you that Nigeria is indeed a secular state but there is freedom of expression and religion. And yes, when I knew no better, I separated intellectual discourse from religion, but not anymore. I reckon the bible fits in perfectly for almost every purpose. It is way ahead of human intelligence and it answers all question beyond reasonable reproach. The belief of man that religion should be separated from intellectual discourse is as a result of man's pride and godlessness. And that's exactly what is wrong with the world. Man tries to use education to replace religion. It didn't work and it never will. Do you know far back in the old days, it was highly religious men that knew how to write and has deep knowledge about life, science and GOD? But when satan hijacked education, he tried to separate education from GOD. This has not always been the case from the onset. So yes, while I always retain caution in making religious attributes to intellectual discourse, it will never be stopped altogether. It was all done on purpose. To your point on equal pay; I wonder how many times I'm going to say this!!! I'm not going to tell you where I work but, when you study our pay slip, you discover that you're been paid on hourly basis, even down to the bonus and entitlement. And it's not a government establishment. And that's global practice, even in America! If a woman takes a maternity leave, who does her work, all the months she'll be away? If it is a staff within, will he or she be paid for the extra work and overtime spent? Yes he or she should. From what purse? Should the company pay extra or from what ought to be the bonus of the woman who's on maternity leave? Now for private, profit oriented firms, they know the cost ratio of male/female worker. They know that at certain period of time, a female worker will be off duty, whether for maternal reason or whatever is immaterial. What's important is there is job to be done and it's affecting profit. So some private firms in the West don't pay men and women the same. It is pure logic, sentiments aside. |

daretodiffer: You are a FVCKING LIAR
Did it extend to University?
My former university enrolled the first female student in UK/Wales. Common sense would have told you that in the medieval age there was no university. Inventions then were mainly pure natural instincts and creativity which you women lack. The University of Karueein was founded in 859 AD in Fez, Morocco. The University of Bologna, Italy, was founded in 1088 and is the oldest one in Europe. Now do the math: How many inventions have been made before these times when there was no university? And what was holding your women folks from walking toe to toe with their men folks in innovation. Now you're a Muslim woman, but I'll point you to the bible. When the children of Israel left Egypt and were in the wilderness they needed to build something, the ark of covenant : Read this: Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: "See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach... (Exodus 31:1-6a) From the primitive age, man made spears, axes, bows, arrows, hammers, and other kind of instruments to ease the burden of his curse, which is to plough the earth. Later he ploughed harder and discovered minerals and gold. Adam was given the earth to tender even before Eve was created. So GOD normally gives man more wisdom to create and invent to make HIS world easier and safer for him. It is only after his invention that you girls are invited to join the party. And you wonder why even the best stylists are men, The best cooks are men Even Kim Kay's wedding dress was designed by a man! Feminism has no footing on rationality. It is just greed Women trying to reap where they never sowed. Education and wisdom are two different things. Feminism is foolishness. Satanic in orientation. Man and woman aren't equal and will never me. You like going out of your way looking for my trouble, I have no courtesy for rude women. You may want to watch it. This would be my last pretence at civility with you. |

daxlasaint: true not so many women as compared to men have won acclaim in the world of imnovation, invention and and science.... but even in this your are helping me make my point.... women historically speaking, have never been given equal footing anf opportunities to aim so high... marie currie was an anormally for her time... ...and the OP lied! Women of the Western world have always gone to school. Women like Cornelly Metella, Carserra the younger, St Hilda of Whitby etc have been well educated in the medieval age. And some even taught in girls schools. But they never came anything close to their male counterparts in inventory, creativity, wisdom and intelligence. Your Marie Currie was a brilliant woman no doubt. But she's not an inventor. Even the instruments she used was invented by the Pierre brothers. There was Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895, Henri Becquerel in 1896. These are the real inventors hence.... "she shared the prize with Pierre Curie and Henri Becquerel, the original discover of radioactivity" I put it to you that over 95% of all inventions belong to men. Many are illiterates who never went to school. Now I asked you an initial question? About your mom and your dad. Is she still married to him? |

Romance › Re: Anti-feminism; A War That Men Cannot Win by postmann: 2:19pm On Mar 16, 2016 |
daxlasaint: Feminism means different things for different people... For me it means aspiring for the chance to attain equal opportunities for both sexes... The removal of societal restraints that consign certain dreams and aspirations to a certain gender or sex... Unfortunately feminism , in the eyes of many of the malefolk has become synonymous with non-submission of women to their men... This thought process while understandable is totally wrong.
The going philosophy seems to be that if as a guy you support feminism then you are a sissy, a woman wrapper or an ass kisser.... Only a weak and insecure man requires total submission from his woman to make him feel like he's in charge. Feminism is the only reason many of us guys on Nairaland can proudly brag bout our 'literate' mothers, our 'successful' mothers, aunts, sisters, etc etc
Most guys tell you they can't date or marry an uneducated and unenlightened girl without reasoning far ahead enough to realise that the only reason these educated women are available is because of the 'loathed' feminist movement.
My family is a perfect case study... My dad though being British, still holds strongly to our African traditional values but there was never a time while i was growing up that my mom wasnt working full time... Never a time when my mom couldnt speak her mind and didnt have an equal say in what went down in our home, and guess what? It never eroded her respect for my dad or vice versa... Even my step mom is richer than my dad and more business oriented too, it never caused an issue that i know of, my father has never demanded submission from his wife/ wives and this is someone who like i stated earlier is a full proper traditional African man...
Women may not have the physical strength of men but they can be and are usually smarter... Feminism doesnt literally translate to a woman being able to do all things men can do but it means a woman should be allowed to aspire to the goals men have traditionally reserved for themselves, the right to decide what they want to become or the goals they want to pursue without first considering whether its allowed women by societal norms...
In a way i think the problem of feminism is actually its name... Its only human to strive for the equality of both sexes... Feminism should probably be called humanism because equality of the sexes should be a universal human aspiration not just a fight by the female half of the population
Feminism doesn't mean anti submission just has submission doesnt mean a woman having to grovel and bow after her man and his ego.... Submission is a product of mutual respect and only weak men should be afraid of a woman who speaks her mind on issues concerning their relationship and basic existential issues...
I can only say in closing, there was a time when all men were not considered equal.... And there were people who fought to keep the status quo, they lost. Same way those who fight to keep the status quo on gender inequality would one day be consigned to history books as bitter losers in a cause whose outcome may be delayed but never changed.... I see you're probably brought up in the West, and your dad is a good and tolerant man. There're many self-inflicted damages from your submission but the stress of the day is slowing my assault. But, I want to ask you: what happened between your dad and your mom. You mentioned a step mom so I reckoned they aren't together. Truthfully tell me, pls. |
