You honestly don't know anything o. You just seat behind your keyboard and say trash.

The key disadvantage of a large army is its size. While you might have all the heavy machines and tools, it becomes useless against guerilla tactics. It's only useful in a full scale war. And the system in SE, like the one in NE is not a full scale war. And these things frustrates army. They are handicapped in many ways.
Politics › Re: Breaking!! Nigeria Restructuring Bill Concluded Ready For Ratification: by Powersurge: 1:12pm On Apr 24, 2021
LordLugard1:
Below is the kite being flown by the Federal Government on Restructuring

Nigerian Economic Restructuring Bill 2021

[1] Nigeria will be made up of 42 states, with seven per each of her constituent geo-political zone. These shall be:

South-south
[1] Bayelsa State - Yenagoa
[2] Western Ijaw State - Patani
[3] Rivers State - Port Harcourt
[4] Cross River State - Calabar
[5] Akwa Ibom State - Uyo
[6] Edo State - Benin
[7] Delta State - Warri

Northeast
[1] Mambilla State - Gashaka
[2] Taraba State - Jalingo
[3] Adamawa State - Yola
[4] Borno State - Maiduguri
[5] Yobe State - Damaturu
[6] Bauchi State - Bauchi
[7] Gombe State - Gombe

Southeast
[1] Anioma State - Asaba
[2] Orashi State - Omoku
[3] Anambra State - Awka
[4] Imo State - Owerri
[5] Enugu State - Enugu
[6] Abia State - Umuahia
[7] Ebonyi State - Abakaliki

North-Central
[1] Abuja State - Abuja
[2] Gurara State - Kafanchan
[3] Benue State - Makurdi
[4] Plateau State - Jos
[5] Nasarawa State - Lafia
[6] Kogi State - Lokoja
[7] Niger State - Minna

Southwest
[1] Kwara State - Ilorin
[2] Oyo State - Ibadan
[3] Ogun State - Abeokuta
[4] Lagos State - Ikeja
[5] Ondo - Akure
[6] Ekiti - Ado-Ekiti
[7] Osun - Oshogbo

Northwest
[1] Sokoto State - Sokoto
[2] Kebbi State - Birnin Kebbi
[3] Kaduna State - Kaduna
[4] Katsina State - Katsina
[5] Kano State - Kano
[6] Jigawa State - Dutse
[7] Zamfara State - Gusua

[2] Each state will be responsible for creating and funding its local governments as it deems fit. Local governments will be funded internally by the charging of a local tax, which will be augmented by a state grant representing no more than 10% of TV
[3] Over a 35 year period, we gradually migrate back to the 1957/58 revenue sharing formula agreed by our founding fathers at the Lancaster House Conferences in London under which the federating units will control all the resources within their domains and remit 50% to the centre

[4] Our federating units will keep 50% of all the revenue that they generate, put a further 20% into a central pot called the Excess Federation Account to which everyone can have access as the need arises, 10% will go into a geo-political zone account and the remaining 20% will go to into the Federation Account used to run the federal government

[5] With regards to all other resources, we shall move towards this immediately but in the case of oil and gas, the move will have to be gradual due to how dependent we have become on these two resources. A gradual migration shall take place over the next 35 years in this manner: 2000 - 13%, 2021 - 18%, 2023 - 20%, 2025 - 25%, 2030 - 30%, 2035 - 35%, 2040 - 40%, 2045 - 45%, 2050 - 50%

[6] Every one of our 42 states will be set a target of generating at least $2bn in export revenue. Any state government that attracts inward investment to the tune of $1bn, will get a corresponding grant from the federal government

[7] Any state that fails to generate as much revenue as it spends for two consecutive years as from 2020, will be subject to an immediate declaration of a state of emergency. It shall be administered centrally by the federal government until its books are balanced

[8] Every state must seek to generate at least 30% of its internal revenue from manufacturing and services, with a migration away from primary products to value added production

[9] Every state is free to create more local governments provided they meet the necessary criteria which includes holding a referendum and the fact that the local government area is self-sustaining. To be recognised as a local government area, basic facilities that must exist within the domain include 20 primary schools, five secondary schools, a local government headquarters, at least one vocational training college and at least one public health centre

[10] All local and state governments will as a matter of course award supply contracts to companies that manufacture products within Nigeria. Only as a last resort will companies that manufacture products abroad be granted government contracts.
Is this your own version or it's from govt? Anyways I think people should go there seperate ways.

We have moved pass this. When people wanted it the 2% were against it. This your system is deficient in many ways. While it addresses economic aspects, It does not address the key components, majorly security arrangements.

Politics › Re: What Are The Benefits Of Being A Citizen Of Nigeria? by Powersurge:
greencard:
Abeg what does one stand to gain in being a citizen of Nigeria?

Either

1-from the government
2- from the international community
3-from one's self
1. From govt : I would have said education. But when I remembered the "quality " of education I received in Nigerian university (one of the so-called first class university for that matter. I wonder the quality of education those that attends those "other" universities would get), I can't place that as a top benefit.

There is no succession. I wonder how old was my dad when Buhari became head of state-I know my age now and guess who is the president? Govt will be placing age restrictions on employment while ASUU could have knocked down like 3 years from your age. That's if JAMB speared you.

International community:
Being a Nigerian is like a disease outside this geography. If you chat with foreigner with your Nigerian identity, you will be blocked. If you carry the green passport the chance of you being deported or dehumanized becomes exponential.

Yourself: It is hard. Very hard for anyone to make success of himself while still under the umbrella of this geography. For everyone who realised their potential here, there are 10s who cannot. There is no much u can become in a country where a cleaner somewhere else earns more than a professor here. You start your own thing and it would take just one idiot in power to wipe it off with stupid policy.
Romance › Re: Starting A New Relationship Before TRAVELING OUT- Please Advice! by Powersurge: 2:49am On Apr 24, 2021
mrbenjame:
Hi pals. What’s your opinion on this subject matter?
I actually intend traveling out pretty soon ( less than 3 months from now ) but I was adviced to have a woman down before Moving out. So that when I get there I’d just come back to marry her and take her with me. But right now I have no serious relationship. Though I have a lot of female friends but I’m not into any of them. So I told my parents that I would want to start one as soon as I get there. Probably a decent Nigerian girl over there. But theyre afraid I’d get tangled to a white girl. They also complained that it can only take the grace of God to find a decent Nigerian girl abroad because of the feminist society I’m about to immigrate to. I’m not racist but I don’t really have flare for white ladies that much. Now my question is.......

Is 3 months enough to find a woman to start a relationship with or should I just forget about the whole thing and just travel in peace.

Please do not bash me o. Lols. I take God beg una. I’m just confused. I tell you. You don’t wanna be in my shoes right now.
My guy, first of all, by the time you spend a year or two over there and you come back to this thread, some of your assertions here would be either very wrong or very right. i can bet on the former.

No girl dt would hv the knowledge dt her new bf is abt to japa with the possibility of coming to pick her that wouldn't behave like an angel. Even olosho go pretend to be a virgin.

Many Nigerians have made the errors you are abt to make. While some worked out, others end up losing everything. The assumption that Nigerian born girls would be a better wife over there. Go to Nairaland travel section and read up some story. In fact, most Nigerians abroad preach against coming home to pick a wife (from the comments on those thread). However, nothing is constant in life except death. It could work out for u perfectly.

My advise is what you don't really like. Date one among your friends. I am 200% against dating new person for this purpose. In the end, the decision is yours. May your journey be fruitful. peace!

dafman10:
Is it proper to tell your friend that his wife is seriously having an affair with your boss?

Pls my dear NLders i need candid opinion(s) cos am in a serious dilemma
This is a dicey situation. Very dicey. because if you don't tell him, and he finds out later that you knew, If I were him, I would consider you as someone capable of murder. But if d guy na simp, d woman fit turn d table on u. And it could cost you more than your job.

But first and foremost, you MUST be absolutely sure that they are having affairs. You cannot afford the luxury of being wrong.

Then you can ask your friend how much he trusts his wife. Tell him that you feel she is not completely honest with him. Whatever you do, do not tell him the whole thing. He must find out by himself. Don't tell him about your boss or anybody else. Tell him to trail her for couple of weeks. Point him in d right direction.

But remember, if your boss had known that you know who the lady is, there is no way he wouldn't link you to any problem that come from this. And there is no way the Woman wouldn't link you to whatever happens. Unless you have not seen her and your boss together before.

That man tried though, because its even dangerous for his safety, the way the guy was charging at him, assuming the guy was armed, it can cost him his life.

The best form of defense is to attack, he ought to have at least keep the attacker at bay.

For the policeman, he shouldn't try that calm disposition in the US, in less than 5 secs, he might be killed.

And for the attacker, he shouldn't even dare that stunt in the US also, in less than 2 secs, he would have been pumped out, with at least 10 bullets (yes, US police are so good in spraying bullets)

All in all, kudos to the policeman, he really tried in keeping his cool.
To be honest, If I was the one that idiot was assaulting, I don't know what I might do. I know one thing for sure, If he is not dead, he would have been in coma. What rubbish!

Nigeria is a country built on nothing. Imagine a system where the only way to become a political leader is to belong to a party. Parties controlled by evil men. Most good people, people who bring great changes to the society are not extremely wealthy. 22 or 50 million for party ticket is to make sure such people never smell power.

I for one, I am not a fan of the entity called Nigeria. But if there is a chance to have a reasonable nation, which personally I doubt, that useless document they called constitution must be completely overhaul.

Firstly is a Deposit Money Bank as an Teller,
Second is in a FMCG Company as an Warehouse Assistant. (night and Shifting work attach).

Both are Contract Job and also Same Salary Structure... Same State.... Considering my age early 30's which will be best option for career growth..
Thanks Candid Advice need urgently... Yet to do medical.
Pray! That's I didn't do that made me chose "jucier" offer and didn't end so well. That being said. Working in a bank is like being in a mini prison. Until you are sacked, you wouldn't be useful to yourself or your loved ones. This warehouse could give you opportunity to source for a better offer. And if by any chance you think you could be converted to permanent staff in banks, think again. PS: nothing is impossible with God. Goodluck.
