Quick one please, On the document checklist there is an official use part where the submission officer is supposed to sign. How is it then uploaded after they sign it on the biometrics day or it's not necessary?

Nigeria is on the amber list and therefore we are expected to quarantine but at a place of your choice rather than a designated facility. So yes a person can quarantine at home or with friends and family See the excerpt from uk gov website.

Well I can't be too sure of that answer because the whole purpose of quarantine in the first place is to make sure you don't have the virus before you can mingle with the populace ..... I gave that answer because I believe if people are expected to quarantine the government normally have designated hotels were you will be expected to quarantine....I think it usually 1,800 pounds or so ...but I don't think Nigerian students expected to quarantine.... except maybe they transit through countries with high covid risk.....this is just my humble opinion I may not be entirely correct...

I believe this information should be on your CAS. My CAS showed the full tuition fee and The discount I got from my school was included as fees paid by me on my CAS cos there is a subsequent question on how much of the fees have been paid by you when filling the Visa form.

Because we dont have extra £55 to pay before using V.I centre. But if you have it, then by all means use them.

I dont think that's possible, the security guys at the gate have a list and they look at your passport as well. Let's not suggest what will waste people's time cos the security there is pretty tight. Anybody can try and see for themselves shaa

I have a random thought,go to the centre very early and tip any of your fellow applicants to go in with them as a family. Fill your own form when you get in and...it’s just a thought! I feel it will work.

Mine was at Ikeja, they explained that they are now sending some people to reddington hosp cos of the crowd and really none of them wants to lose their job by letting you in. Things may be different next month cos September will be closer then, I really cant say.

In my case, I saw and booked ABJ centre for August 30th. I was contemplating going there in person this month or first week of August to beg them to get it done. because 30th August is too far for a Sept start date.

Me and my husband wasted the full day begging to do the test same day. It's a complete waste of time if you dont have any tangible reason or deadline why you want to do the test on that day. It must also be backed by an evidence to show.

If you upload your documents yourself you only need your international passport and a copy of your data page, the first page of your checklist and print out of your appointment date.
If you want assisted service then you need to go with all your documents listed on your CAS, statement of account, TB test result, wedding documents as a married woman, concent letter for your kids

For gtbank, my name change reflected in about an hour cos I already changed my Bvn name in Access bank first. You need newspaper publication, Marriage certificate, affidavit and Id in your new name and utility bill. It should be done in few days.

My sister will be applying for UK student visa but the account is in her [b]maiden [/b]name while International passport and all other correspondence is in her [b]married [/b]name. I was of the opinion that newspaper publication and affidavit for change of name to cover the fact that same person bears both name should suffice. However, she reached out to me to say the agent from the school in Sunderland says account name must be in her application name(married name) to get visa.
Has anyone experienced this and what did you do? Please advise so we can know next step as i know it takes those banks ages to even change name on account oh (even me sef…..over 1 year that I requested for such in GTB, change of name is yet to reflect on my account)

Wait o! Is it rate as at when you submitted your application or when you do your biometrics? There are really differing views here.

If you are running your bank statements, pls use 620 and above. Don't follow what some people are saying that you can use Oanda rate for the day you started running your statement. It is false. UKVI will use Oanda rate for the day you do biometrics. More so, it is not compulsory your opening balance matches your closing balance in as much you don't spend beyond your required funds.

You can only leave 1 month before your course start date.

I opened the dom acct on a monday and got my card on wednesday though even the officials were quite surprised as they said it normally takes 5 working days. Do u have a gtbank current acct? If yes, then it should be pretty straightforward to open the dom otherwise u would need references from 2 current account holders with gtbank

What if a person chooses assisted service, can you get a date for biometrics even without the Tb test and then
you can use the biometrics date as proof for them to facilitate your test?? I was at the IOM office yesterday and they said they only facilitate appointments for people that have deadlines to meet.

Don't forget he/she will need to upload IOM certificate also, as a result, he can't book biometric date yet, because I heard he/she can only do that after upload and submission which will only happen after IHS and Visa fee has been paid

Does the scarce biometrics date also apply to priority visa? How many days apart can one get for biometrics after submitting the application?

Just go ahead and book your biometrics and also upload your documents before going for biometrics. Biometric dates are scarce.
Try going to IOM to get an earlier booking

I have not applied for visa yet, but from what i have gathered here, the documents you are to submit are usually stated on your CAS.

So, if it is stated on you CAS, then you will have to submit it for visa application, otherwise you don't have to.
