removetheturban:Point of correction the quintessential keyword here is Jesus. Whether the day was once used to worship amadioha or sango is of no import. Today it's the day we all recognise and celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Put your intellectual mind into productive use sir, this one odikwa counter-productive mbok. Thank you. |
GraGra247:Your second point says it all. Their lifestyle might not be Christ-like which they never claim to be. But that doesn't stop them from praising and acknowledging God. She's just pained. But even she no holy pass the prophets. |

Why would anyone make prepaid online transactions? Is this not the same Nigeria of scammers, G-boys, etc? Yes I said it cos it's true. Other than renowned online stores, you're at owner's risk. |
This is just sensational headline to pull traffic. Obviously she must have been quoted out of context. Nigerian bloggers how do you even sleep at night? |

Feraz:Yea, there are still more stories developing. I believe the court is in the best position to judge the case with adequate evidences and financial records. What irks is how quickly everything degenerates to a tribal war on NL. |
My understanding so far. Innoson banks with GTB, accesses their facility and incurred wrong bank charges to the tune of over 700 million Naira. After back and forth with GTB, he wins his suit to the tune of 8 billion Naira. GTB feeling embarrassed exposes his business malpractices and fraudulent shipping documents and reports to EFCC. EFCC being an antigraft agency summons him and he was discharged. They summon him again, this time he fails to honour the invitation. They move in on him to arrest him in his Enugu residence. He resists arrest and engages them with his own force. They call for back up, and things spiralled out of control. His wife gets slapped, he gets arrested. That said, how did this turn to an inter-tribal witch-hunting? It's simply a GTB VS Innoson fight. Pls let's always get our facts right and not let sentiments make a mockery of our intelligence and education. |
Self confidence is the answer. Not insecurity. With a good sense of humour and mutual understanding. Same goes for the antithesis, how do married men cope with the deluge of admiration of their beautiful trophy Queens. |
Lol @ igbos new spokesman. Op you no well aswear. |

hypertension:You sound like a mature person but no where was yoruba or igbo or any inter-tribal remark made in the post, only corrupt senators. You should check yourself if all you see is tribes. |
NgeneUkwenu:Well said. And that's the truth no one likes to hear. Why would Innoson employ armed thugs to engage the EFCC into a fight? Has he no regard for the law or because he's bigger than the law? Last time I checked only thieves and drug Lords engage in battle against the law. Even if he feels he's being witch-hunted, he should submit himself to the law and with his wealth employ the best lawyers to fight his case not thugs. But trust Nigerians, so quick to turn every situation to tribal or wars. |
Regardless of industry, a leader's role often involves managing the flow of information between team members, departments and other company stakeholders. That's why it's critical for all professionals to practice good communication habits and ensure that all involved parties are receiving messages loud and clear. But even the best of us sometimes slip up and don't communicate as well as we could. We interrupt others during meetings; we send typo-riddled emails from our smartphones; we get defensive and react instead of truly listening and processing the words we hear. 1. Don't Filter, Just Listen At work, we screen information at lightning speed and focus on what is most important. However, this skill is detrimental to effectively communicating with others. When listening, turn off the filter in your head that says, "Not important right now," and instead reserve your judgment and ask questions to clarify. Breaking this habit will enable you to connect and actually get more done. - Loren Margolis , Training & Leadership Success LLC 2. Put The Phone Away We're all wired these days to see our latest emails and notifications from social media outlets. However, continually checking these when we are in the company of others can communicate that you're not tuned in, and can be perceived as rude. When I am with people, my phone is put away where I can't see it, the ringer is off, and notifications are off. - Rebecca Bosl , Dream Life Team 3. Stop Interrupting Others If you have a habit of interrupting, challenge yourself to count to five before responding. This discipline will ensure that the other person has finished relaying their thoughts before you begin sharing yours. It also has the added benefit of giving the impression that you’re carefully reflecting on what they just said. - Shawn Kent Hayashi , The Professional Development Group LLC 4. Practice Periods Of Unavailability One of our worst communication habits happens to appear as a strength. The majority of us are constantly connected to the world through an array of devices, so we never have down time to stop giving and receiving communication unless we are intentional about it. Carve out periods during your day when the technology is turned off or removed from your presence, and relearn how to communicate! - Billy Williams , Archegos Forbes Coaches Council is an invitation-only community for leading business and career coaches. Do I qualify? 5. Ask And Learn What Works Best Start by asking what works best. Every organization, department, team, and individual has practices that work well. Avoid making assumptions or establishing what worked for you in the past from the start. It is as simple as asking, "If I need to get a critical message across, what is most effective?" Learn what works, and improve what doesn't over time. - Alan Trivedi , Trivedi Coaching & Consulting Group 6. Proofread Anything Sent From Your Phone Short, terse and often not-well-thought-out emails sent via your smartphone can damage communication because it invites the impulsive and emotional. I see executives and career professionals make some egregious communication errors on this platform. Any worthy communication that deserves thought should be read and reread or you risk a problem message that often reads "Sent From My iPhone" or the like! - John O'Connor , Career Pro Inc. 7. Pick Up The Phone One of the leading causes of misunderstandings is a lack of effective communication. Technology has us hiding behind keyboards and smartphone screens as texting has become the most widely used avenue of communication. Nothing beats picking up the phone to quickly communicate what's needed. Instead of sending an emoji, hit the call button and allow someone to hear your smile in your voice. - Maleeka T. Hollaway , The Official Maleeka Group, LLC. 8. Confirm Your Understanding Of Problems Before Trying To Solve Them Most of us have been rewarded in school and at work for quick solutions and being right, so we tend to jump to an answer before better knowing the situation. Ask questions to be sure you’re getting to the real problem, and then listen with curiosity to get to the root cause. For example: “What is the real issue we need to tackle?” or, “What else is going on that we haven’t yet explored?” - Bonnie Davis, Destination Up 9. Practice Proactive Communication With The 80/20 Rule Powerful communication is only 20% about making yourself understood and 80% about genuinely and proactively trying to understand your counterpart. When trying to understand, just listening is not enough. Being proactive means asking questions. And contrary to popular belief, it is often perfectly appropriate to interrupt as long as it is simply to verify that you are understanding correctly. - Mehrdad Moayedzadeh , Life Is Important 10. Take Responsibility For Your Message Delivery The person trying to communicate a message should take responsibility for it getting delivered correctly. It is amazing how much more effective we communicate once we take responsibility for ensuring that things are not misunderstood. You get rid of statements such as, "I told you XYZ, you must have not heard me." Really effective professional speakers and communicators always take responsibility. - Donald Hatter , Donald Hatter Inc. 11. Remove The 'Junk' From Your Conversations Many of us are guilty of allowing "filler" words and phrases to crowd our conversations. They squeeze out the value of what we are trying to express. Examples include, "Yes, yes" or "I know" or "You know..." Such phrases are crutches: We rely on them when our mouths are moving faster than our brains. Slow down to consider what to say before you say it, then such filler words begin to disappear. - Leila Bulling Towne , The Bulling Towne Group, LLC 12. Check Your Grammar And Professionalism In written communication, it is important to train ourselves to avoid allowing the influence of texting to interfere with professional business communication. It's tempting to use abbreviations and acronyms because they are faster. However, it is important to remember in effective business communication, we maximize our ability to be understood and reach larger audiences by using proper grammar. - Eddie Turner, Eddie Turner LLC 13. Try Talking Less Overtalking leads to under-listening, and listening is the greatest communication skill. A habit that challenges listening comes from the desire to advocate one's own position rather than be curious and inquire about the other person's interest, concerns, aspirations and goals. Advocating leads to telling, directing, instructing and lecturing with the result of turning off others from listening! 14. Watch Your Nonverbal 'Approachability' Cues A bad habit related to communication we can fall into is to send signals not to approach us. A few examples: no eye contact when in the presence of others, being short and abrupt when answering open-ended questions, keeping your office door closed and having a negative disposition. To have effective communication, we need to make ourselves available, be approachable, and then be present when we listen. 15. Keep Your Opinions To Yourself (Unless Asked) Don't give your opinion when it's not required or hasn't been asked for. Being intentional about listening to the other person and recognizing that their opinions matter will help curtail this habit. How do you feel when people give unsolicited opinions? Adapt your communication to be more respectful to others. 16. Get Out Of Your Reactive State Before Responding People often communicate from a reactive state: reacting to a problem, something they don't like, something they heard etc., which creates an environment for more confusion, chaos, and more of what's not wanted. Practice refraining from communicating immediately. Take a walk, clear your head, breathe deeply, and feel better, then communicate from a clearer, more intentional space. Source: www.forbes.com |

Take a lil shot and let it settle on your throat for like 5 secs then swallow or spit out (if you don't like alcohol) The most important part is what you do the next morning. While brushing make sure you scrub the rough throat, you'll feel it coming off. You should feel good in the next few mins or hour. |

NeoJudaism or PseudoChristainity The church has been subjected to a plethora of attacks in recent times. More Christians are losing their faith in God due to activities and malpractice in the church contravening the word of God. Let's embark on a journey of time travel as we together unravel and identify the problem, because only then can we administer the antidote and solution to this malady and pollution. God called Abraham to establish with him a new Covenant to depart from his father's land to a land He would provide, a land flowing with milk and honey where He would make him Father of many nations. This nation would become Israel, God's chosen people. Through Moses, Israel beheld the Glory of God with a Supernatural Deliverance from the Egyptian bondage and Salvation from their Burdens. God, in this process established through Moses the Law of the10 Commandments. Other laws followed, then more laws followed. But the temples soon became a business venture. The laws became a bondage for Israelites. The burden of living by the laws became so great, even greater than the Egyptian bondage. They lamented and cried to God. God heard the cries of the Israelites and through his Prophets he promised them a Messiah. Jesus Christ was born. He came to free the Israelites from the burden of the Temples, from the Pharisees and Sadducees, from the endless sacrifices of sin, tithes, thanksgiving, offerings, etc. He preached the Salvation of Love. He preached against Salvation in the law. According to Jesus, no one could ever attain salvation under the law. He therefore abolished living by the old laws. (Romans 3:20-24, Luke 20:46-47) This was unacceptable to the establishment of the Temple, the Pharisees and Sadducees. They were enraged. Who is this man preaching Love and posing a threat to their source of Livelihood? He must be eliminated. To make matters worse, Jesus rode into Jerusalem (the headquarter of Judaism) like a King, as the Messiah. To bury them completely, he disrupted the temple for Turning His Father's house to a place of business. (John 2:16) Long story short, the establishment of the Temple got him charged for Treason, tried and crucified. All to fulfill the prophecy. (Isaiah 53:1-12) But they did not stop there, they continued to persecute the apostles but unfortunately for them the Body of Christ continued to grow as the Kingdom of heaven is today established all over the earth. Now let's time travel back to the Body of Christ today. Jesus Christ opposed the laws of the Jews which had become a burden on God's people, and for that he sacrificed his life, was afflicted for our sins and was crucified that we may find Salvation, Live in Love and be Glorified on Judgement Day. Today many Christians are enslaved and enburdened with those same Laws of the Jews. Churches have become like the Temples of old and have been turned to business places, robbers den. Love of God, Self and Neighbour is secondary. What takes centre stage is Offerings and Tithe, Finance and Business. Let's retrace our steps as Christians. Let's ask ourselves why there are more churches, yet less godliness, less love, less progress. God's WORD is always the solution. The devil has penetrated and adulterated the church with misinterpretations of the WORD. Jewish laws are being indoctrinated into Christianity. If the word is not properly taught where you fellowship, find a better local assembly where it is taught right. Let's live by the WORD and guidance of the Holy Spirit that the Body of Christ will be glorified and edified, then all our needs will be met.
